  • April and Ken were wonderful to work with from beginning to end. I was traveling with two friends who has never been to New Orleans and I was concerned because they were arriving a day before me. April and Ken let them use theirgue at bikes for a great and short ride to the French Quarter...gave them lots of ideas about where to go and what was nearby. Parking the car was easy...right next to the keyed and gated entrance to their place. The cottage was quiet and clean...The perfect place to relax between taking in all that New Orleans has to offer. Close to the French Quarter, Frenchman Street and an easy ride to Jazz Fest and City Park.... I highly recommend this wonderful place and great hosts!

  • April and Ken's guest home was our private escape. The space it self was roomy and clean. We enjoyed how close it was to all the neighborhoods we wanted to visited. The longest travel time was only 20 minutes by uber ride. There were a few local eateries (Manchu's and Cajun Seafood) we enjoyed but would not recommend walking to during late hours. We would definitely stay again!

  • A wonderful studio fully equipped ,with little attentions we appreciated. Bikes are just what we needed to go downtown to recommend!

  • April and Ken's place was pretty perfect. Very cozy, plenty of space for the two of us. It felt private and was very comfortable. They left information about places to visit and getting around - all very helpful. Location was also great. Walking distance to several great food + drink options or a cheap taxi to any part of the city. We were in town for a wedding and were the only ones not staying at a hotel. We definitely felt like we made the right choice - we could come back to the place and take a dip in the pool or take the bikes out. I would recommend staying here to anyone!

  • This little house was wonderful to stay in. It has everything you'll ever need and more. For about the same price as a hotel, you can have a personal place right near the french quarter. On arrival, we received a list of restaurants, taxi services, and bars that our hosts recommended. Also a tasty bottle of wine! Walking to the french quarter takes about 20 minutes and once you're there, prepare to keep walking all night. New Orleans is a colorful, vibrant city and this house is right in the middle of it, or at least that's what it feels like. Definitely worth it! I would definitely visit again! P.S. There's a banksy graffiti painting about halfway from the house to the quarter.

  • Everything was great! The hosts made it easy the check in/out. This place was great! Just as advertised!

  • Awesome time.

  • April and Ken were excellent hosts. The guest house was just as pictured, clean and well stocked. April was quick to respond via email or text to our questions. We especially enjoyed meeting them both on the last night of our stay. For my husband, the only thing missing was a friendly dog to wake up to. We look forward to our next stay with them.

This beautiful home is in a perfect location to explore the City of New Orleans. It is a hidden gem within walking distance of Frenchmen Street, the best local cafes, bars and restaurants (L'il Dizzy's, Port of Call, Cafe Du Monde), and only 2 blocks from the French Quarters. The home is perfect for those who want to be near it all yet still have an authentic New Orleans experience that is usually only available to locals.
This is a true New Orleans home...you'll enjoy all of the traditional details, like the fireplace and exposed brick.
This neighborhood is alive. It's energy is quintessential New Orleans. You won't find a bad meal or a weak drink. The locals are always friendly and quick to start a conversation.
  • We absolutely loved this house, perfect location and so clean and spacious!

  • Great place in a great location in Treme. Mark was an attentive host. Really enjoyed ourselves. Will be coming back again.

  • Wonderful place in the perfect location! Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone.

    Ryan2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • The house is a very cool house. The location was good. But the bedding, sheets, blankets, bedspread, towels and throw pillows were all old and dingy. The bed pillows were cheapy ones, they were old, dingy and flat. We did not use the bed pillows because they were so bad. Which unfortunately makes the place feel dirty.

    Velvet2018-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Photos don’t do credit for how adorable and spacious the house is. Would absolutely go back!

Guest area features private bedroom and bath with its own private entrance. Only 2 miles from the French Quarter by streetcar. Enjoy complete privacy in the guest space or visit with the hosts as you desire. Additional bedroom is available for groups traveling together or families traveling with children. Please discuss your group's needs with the host. New Orleans license number is 17STR-06526.
Private bedroom and bath in our charming shotgun house just off the Canal Streetcar line only 2 miles from the French Quarter. Guest area features private entrance, lovely patio, beautiful antique furnishings, 11-foot ceilings, petite chandelier, comfortable and clean queen bed, and cozy guest robes. Internet, cable TV, parking, oscillating fan, iron, music player, white noise machine, hairdryer, fridge, coffeepot, crockpot, and snacks are provided. The space has a peaceful, airy feel and is flooded with natural light. This listing is unique in that you have complete privacy from the main house. The guest space has its own exterior door, and you are free to come and go as you please. The garden path leading to your room features motion-activated lighting if you are returning after dark. The room is located down the garden path in the rear of the house. A second bedroom is available for groups, so the space can be made to accommodate 1-4 people. We welcome special requests and will make every effort to assist with needed recommendations. We can also provide a travel crib and other baby items if you wish to travel with your childen. We love hosting guests for honeymoons, anniversaries, and other special events. Our home is located in the historic Mid-City neighborhood, which was one of the first neighborhoods to spring back after extensive flooding due to Hurricane Katrina. Mid-City is located, as the name indicates, in the middle of New Orleans on what was once the backslope of the Mississippi River natural levee. Our home was built around 1910 and is a typical New Orleans-style shotgun house. In New Orleans at the time of construction, the shotgun house utilized a minimized lot frontage, on which taxes were based. The houses were also built without hallways and closets, which would have been counted as rooms for tax purposes. The origin of the building style and the name itself may trace back to Haitian influences on New Orleans, as many Afro-Haitian slaves lived in this area. Our house was recently featured on the HBO series "Treme", as the law office of the character Toni Bernette (played by Melissa Leo) and also as part of the interior of the home of Creighton Bernette (played by John Goodman). Guests are free to have complete privacy or to meet with the host as desired to obtain recommendations for food, drink, and attractions. Check-in is offered via a lockbox. Rates may vary during special events and holidays. Our home is located just off the parade route for Endymion, the largest parade of Mardi Gras. The festival grounds for Jazz Fest are just over 1 mile away.
Mid-City is a diverse neighborhood with its own distinctive flavor. Bars and restaurants in this area are largely patronized by locals, so the neighborhood provides an escape from the more touristy areas of the city, while still allowing easy access to the French Quarter via the Canal Streetcar Line.
  • Erin has the most beautiful shotgun house in New Orleans. It is perfect in every way. From her greeting and communication to her making sure we have everything we need. It truly was a magical experience and we will definitely stay with her next time around.

    Travis2016-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • Erin was a fabulous host, very personable. The shotgun house was very clean. Simple elegance is the best way to describe our room. She had some nice touches (chocolate, snacks, beverages, great bath products). Being our first time with airbnb, we thought the area was pleasant, easy access to streetcar (2 blocks) which makes it easy to the French Quarter. Staying at Erin's definitely gives you a good feel of being part of the culture of New Orleans.

    Kevin2013-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • The place was just as described and pictured. Very clean and all soap/etc were readily available. We didn't get greeted in person by the host, but that's ok! It was very private and we liked that. At times we heard the family but, it didn't bother us much. She even stated in the guide book if we were ever bothered to let her know. Our dogs were welcomed there which was great! They had a blast. The location is super convenient, only minutes away from a street car that can take you to Bourbon! I loved the ambiance and vibe of the outdoor patio and room. It was very vintage chic. Would definitely recommend to someone that doesn't want to stay in a hotel or needs somewhere that is pet friendly!

    Amanda2014-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Erin's airbnb was absolutely ideal. The space, nestled at the back of the main house, felt private and serene. The room was outfitted with everything you could possible need or want, from a clean, cozy bed to a mini refrigerator, to toiletries in the shower, and even spa robes and a guide to the city she'd typed up. It was clear Erin put a lot of care into creating a perfect getaway for her guests and from the moment we got there until the moment we left we had a perfect experience.

  • Perfecto! We had a marvellous stay in New Orleans: the apartment was beautiful, cosy and well (Website hidden by Airbnb) is even better than in the pictures!!! Erin and Greg were incredibly kind and helpful, making us discovering the best of New Orleans' cuisine. Thanks a lot again, you two! :)

    Federica2012-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Erin's house was awesome, and so was she! She was super friendly and even offered to look in on our pooch while we were out sightseeing. The room reminds me of an upscale boutique hotel - very comfortable bed and linens and lots of little extras... chocolate, beers, robes... Great stay all around.

    Elizabeth2013-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great location- beautiful room and easy access to the city. Very friendly and professional host. Fully recommended!

  • We loved our stay here! It was a very safe area and Matthew was extremely helpful with all our questions. Really appreciate the space to park our car so we could use Uber to go everywhere. Stress free!!

    Hélène2017-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • This place is exceptional. My stay was short, just one night, but check was easy, the street and the room are very quiet, comfortable bed and great shower. Matthew texted me a few days before check in and I met him on the way out. Very clean, and comfortable. I hope to stay here here again.

    Jean2017-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic place!! My husband and I loved the location - it was easy to walk to the trolley or uber wherever we wanted to go, yet you get a sense that you are remote and private with a secluded garden oasis. The apartment was well furnished and comfortable. Matthew had anticipated our every need and made our stay in New Orleans truly exceptional! What a gracious host. We felt so welcome and can't wait to come back. Thanks for everything.

  • The perfect hosts with the perfect little house! In all sincerity, our honeymoon road-trip across the US of A would not have been as cool had we not stopped to stay at Matt & Katherine’s beautiful NOLA bungalow. Lovely, welcoming people (and neighbours!) and a great space in a fantastic position close to everything. Can’t thank you guys enough :)

    Katrina2018-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • I couldn't decide which category was most superlative so I went with best all around. The space is charming and comfortable with lots of thoughtful choices. The host was quite responsive in all communications and had great dining tips. We enjoyed the local beer and coffee. There's a little travel time to the main tourism destinations, but it was about 20 minutes to everywhere we wanted to go. An unfortunate hurricane threw a wrench into our plans but our host discussed options with us and offered assistance and information if we decided to weather it out. We ultimately decided to evacuate and our host kindly offered a refund for our unused night, which helped mitigate the disappointment of losing out on our long anticipated trip.

    Cheryl2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • The Belfast Studio in New Orleans is a great place to stay! I would stay there again if traveling to the Crescent City. Matthew is very prompt and helpful with all communication. The Belfast Studio offers complete privacy, a great kitchen, and laundry facilities. We enjoyed the open layout of the room and the fun New Orleans style decorations. I highly recommend the Belfast Studio!

  • This space was beautiful! There was more than enough room for the 8 of us. We loved that there were two bathrooms and a large space for us to spend time, especially after flying in from all different locations. The walk to Bourban street was right around the corner and we were in walking distance of all of the restaurants and sightseeing we wanted to do. Brad was very accommodating and helpful!

    Olivia2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • This property was a remarkable building. It was well located to the proximity of Bourbon and Royal streets which we walked to daily and accommodated the 6 of us extremely well. We would stay again if we were to revisit New Orleans. We loved it!!

  • This place was perfect for my best friend’s bachelorette party. There were 5 of us ladies and didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. The photos don’t do it justice. Beautiful loft-like space. Very modern. Close enough to the action without having to deal with the noise when you don’t want to.

Located on the residential side of Bourbon St. you will enjoy the quietness at night and sleep like a baby and few steps all the action of Bourbon and the Marigny area. This mansion was built in the 1830s n was recently converted into Luxury condos. STR Licence #: 17STR-09001
The living room has one queen sofa bed for two people, located in front of the charming courtyard, large balcony on the second floor, master bedroom with private bathroom, second bedroom with a set of bunk beds and daybed to sleep four people, kitchen, dining room, additional bathroom on the first floor, TV.
  • Perfect location!

    Lacey2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • This space is very suited for a group of 4-6 and looks just like the pictures! Upon arrival, the space was clean and welcoming, and the host left us some prosecco, orange juice and snacks which was extremely thoughtful. Given its location on Bourbon and Esplanade it was about a 15 minute walk to the heart of the Quarter and just over 5 minutes to get to all the bars on Frenchman St, which made it very easy to enjoy our evenings in New Orleans. Our time spent indoors was enjoyable as well given the social areas of the downstairs living room (with television, which was a pleasant surprise) and upstairs kitchen/dining space. It was very nice to have a fridge to keep some cold water and banana pudding in. If you're a picky sleeper, try to get the (very comfortable) upstairs bed. In case you're not as lucky, bringing a light blanket and some ear plugs along might be smart since the downstairs blankets were on the thin side and the fountain, pretty as it was, could be heard quite clearly. The gate and front door both have locks, which made our stay feel very secure, and the units around us were very quiet. We didn't use the balcony, but it was a nice offering with easy access from the kitchen. Overall, we were very pleased with this 'gem' and are grateful that we were able to stay there.

  • Dee Dee was an amazing host! Communication was great and any issues she responded right away and tried to fix!

    Kisha2017-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for a bachelorette party. Can't beat the location! We slept 6 comfortably, 5 in beds and 1 on the couch. It might have been a bit cramped with 8 girls. The host was fantastic and extremely responsive. I would definitely stay here again.

    Laura2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is the second time I've booked with Hospitality NOLA, and they are flawless every time. This time I booked two housings in the same building, and it was so private and they both connected and flowed together. We had a blast here! This one was right on Bourbon street but was residential so we didn't get the chaos or party people on the strip. My friend wanted me to add that this spot came equipped with comfy bath robes, champagne, and a preloaded netflix account! Haha! Hope we get to book with them again in the future.

    Derek2017-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • Location was great, very close to Quarter, but not square in the hustle. Felt like area was safe, with common sense. Unit was clean and comfortable. However, know that the narrow spiral staircase is the ONLY way to go from floor to floor. Wifi adequate. Courtyard nice, but woke up to animal poop in the courtyard. Upstairs shower tiny. Management below average; be prepared to figure out most things yourself. There is a grocery on the same block around the corner, but we were directed to go about a mile away through sketchy neighborhood. There is no welcome book giving information about the unit, how to work t.v./cable, etc. Had to ask for the basics like kitchen towels, hairdryer, hangers, enough cups and glasses (there were three of each). Lamp switch in bedroom does not work; you have to plug and unplug. Needs some general maintenance like fixing drawers and towel rack.

    Amy2018-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • Extremely first class. Awesome value and place

    Jeff2016-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • There were 7 of us and plenty of sleeping spots for everyone. Having 2 bathrooms was definately a plus, watch out for those stairs though. The house is literally right on bourbon st and only a short walk to all the bars and entertainment. The house was very clean and the courtyard was awesome just super slippery.

The Mazant is a plantation-style home dating back to the early 1880s, located in the heart of New Orleans' Bywater arts district - and about 1-1/2 miles from the French Quarter (30 minutes walking or 8 minutes by Uber). We are close to Bacchanal, The Joint, The Country Club, Elizabeth's, and Satsuma Cafe. It's perfect for family reunions, wedding parties, company off-sites, and other large groups.
UPDATE SUMMER 2018: This summer we are making some additional updates to the house, including adding one additional queen bed (upstairs), remodeling three bathrooms, adding a new half bathroom downstairs, and doubling the size of the kitchen. New floor plans are already available online and photos will be updated by the end of September. ----- We have been working to renovate the house over the past several years, seeking to preserve historic details including 13' ceilings with plaster medallions, heart pine wood floors, cypress doors, and a 125-year old oak tree. At the same time, we updated the layout to more comfortably accommodate large groups: * 18-person dining room table * Oversized living room with 70-inch television, surround sound system, and Baldwin upright piano * Private yard (1/3 acre) with fire pit, six-burner propane BBQ, outdoor table, and hammocks * Super-fast WiFi (the top tier that Cox offers) * Front porch (gallery) with historic gas lamps and outdoor seating * Off-street parking for two cars and ample street parking for overflow The house has eight bedrooms with layout as follows: Downstairs - Bedroom 1: one queen bed (semi-private bathroom - shower) - Bedroom 2: one queen bed (ensuite bathroom - shower) Upstairs - Bedroom 3: one queen bed (ensuite bathroom - shower/tub combo) - Bedroom 4: one double bed - Bedroom 5: one twin bunkbed - Bedroom 6: one king bed - Bedroom 7: two queen beds (semi-private bathroom - shower) - Bedroom 8: one king bed There is another shared bathroom upstairs (near the laundry room) with a clawfoot tub-shower combination. Unfortunately, the caretaker's cottage is no longer available for rent.
Just down river (east) from the French Quarter - stretching from Press Street to the Industrial Canal - is the Bywater, where the mood and pace shift as you enter into the heart of an edgier yet still welcoming neighborhood. The St. Claude Arts District, centered around St. Claude Avenue, is home to more than thirty locations exhibiting visual and performance art, along with an array of artisan crafts. Down Piety Street, the fun continues with restaurants, thrift stores and more galleries. Even the homes, cafes and restaurants seem to capture Bywater's eclectic appreciation for the arts. Spend the afternoon at Crescent Park for some impressive views of downtown New Orleans and the Mississippi River. Afterward, you can thrift your way through the neighborhood before stopping in at an exhibition and finally making your way to dinner. The area's restaurants are among the most innovative in the city and are great places to sit with a cocktail and chat with locals. Above all, the Marigny and Bywater neighborhoods illustrate the relationship between the New Orleans arts scene and local life. So whether you're looking for the New Orleans of old, or if you want see where New Orleans culture is headed for the future, the Faubourg Marigny and Bywater will offer you glimpses in either direction.
  • I enjoyed our stay. The house was so classy and nice. The weather was the coldest it has been in 40 years so it was not something anyone could anticipate. The location was central but it had a great bbq place in walking distance. I absolutely loved the decor of the house. It felt very New Orleans...the host was great at communicating so that was helpful

    Sheena2018-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • The house was absolutely wonderful and perfect for our big family. It was awesome to stay at a historic home while in New Orleans, but updated with every modern amenity and decorated beautifully. Lots of room for 15 of us to hang out, both inside and in the great space outside, quiet at night, and a quick uber ride to the French Quarter. Quick responses from our host, who made us feel very welcome. Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay!

    Ryan & Kara2018-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed this place. Bywater is not the most convenient neighborhood for most New Orleans events but the house is great for a large group. It is beautiful, has plenty of living space and outdoor space which is very unusual in New Orleans. Would definitely stay here again.

    John2017-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Plenty of space for large groups with great finishes.

  • Amazing house. Many up to date features. Quiet neighborhood. Huge yard and beautiful balcony. Highly recommend

    Michael2017-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place for a group to stay and foray into the city at will. All the beds were comfortable the kitchen functional - and we even had a wine fridge with wine the last guest had left. We left a couple bottles for the next guest to, you know pay it forward! There is outside seating for dinners and a fire pit to chat around in the evening. Some of the family loved sitting on the balcony to catch the breeze and others enjoyed the TV room to wind down after a busy day in the city. Jeff, the host, checked in the day after we arrived and the day before we left just to make sure we had everything we needed. We had no problems at all but it was nice to know he was there if we needed him. While we spent most of our time outside of Bywater, A couple in our party had checked out the neighborhood and we found some really fun local places to walk to in the evening to unwind a bit, or grab a quick breakfast before we headed out. We had a lovely stay and all of us would be happy to stay here again!

  • I'm a frequent traveler and Airbnb guest, and I have to say that Jeff's Bywater House is one of my favorite places I've ever stayed. The house itself is magnificent. It's well-appointed, clean, has great amenities, and wonderful air conditioning. I love the Bywater neighborhood. It's not touristy, but it's safe and up-and-coming. It has tons of local flavor, and there's an endless amount of stuff to do, eat, or drink within a ten minute walk. It's about a ten minute Uber to the French Quarter or most places you'd want to go in the city. We took our team of 9 to this house for a company retreat. Everyone was thrilled and comfortable. It couldn't have worked out better. The outdoor areas are delightful, too. I'll be coming back!

    Jeremy2017-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • This place was absolutely stunning. The pictures do not do it justice. We rented this mansion for our 5 yr vow renewal and we could not have made a better choice. Everything was 5 stars! Our guests were so impressed. We will be visiting again next year.

  • Nick and Lindsay were fantastic hosts. Fun, welcoming and helpful. They're place is great too. It is 10-15 mins walk to French Quarter and 30 mins walk to Canal st. There are also some cool bars and eateries in the By-water area very close to the house. The room and bed were clean and comfortable. The kitchen was available and Nick and Lindsay leave tea, coffee and donuts out in the morning. We would highly recommend staying with them!

    Ruth2013-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cute place & couple! We felt very comfortable & welcome sharing Nick & Lindsay's home. Everything was clean & wonderfully decorated. They were plenty accommodating as extra blankets were provided upon request as were restaurant & activity suggestions. I would definitely consider staying here again next year to enjoy the Mardi Gras festivities.

  • Amazing place located walking distance to everything!

    Eric2018-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • Nick and Lindsay were great hosts. This was our first time staying with our hosts in a private room and it was a great experience. We had plenty of privacy and we never felt like we were being a bother coming and going. Their place is an easy walk to the french quarter and would I absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a quiet but conveniently located place in New Orleans.

  • Andrew's Marie Antoinette room was great to stay in for our 5-day trip to new orelans. Our hosts were present, organized and fixed up a couple of the bikes to make sure everyone had what they needed to get around. No complaints at all. Very Nice people. Very Nice Place. Extremely Comfortable Bed! And the little guide book they have printed up is very helpful. thanks guys! :)

  • The room was very comfortable and spacious! The wifi was only available in the kitchen area however and we stopped some bugs on the counter...

  • Andrew's place was conveniently located within New Orleans, only a 10 minutes drive from most points of interest. The room was clean and cute. While I never met Andrew, his instructions for self check in/out were clear and easy to follow.

  • Thank you Andrew & Amanda for the pleasant and really easy going stay at your place. It was an exceptional neighbourhood and a great basis for exploring New Orleans. If you go there take a look in Andrew & Amandas city guide, it has really good advice on places to go!

    Stephanie2014-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • I was so pleased when we arrived at the location of this stay. For some reason I was thinking that we booked a room on the other side of town, but we were supper closet to the Quarters and Frenchman. The room itself was very comfortable and decorated very uniquely. I felt almost like I was in a showroom for Baroque style design. Perfect for the mood of New Orleans. Andrew is super friendly and sweet. He even made my boyfriend a special European plug adapter because he had left his at our last location but desperately needed one. Andrew seems to have everything in his school bus, and literally whipped a plug up. AWESOME!!! Both my boyfriend and I are Artist, so we felt right at home with the creative minded home.

    Tené2013-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew's location was perfect, we had no trouble finding the house and checking in later in the evening. The kitchen/bathroom areas were pristine. However, the Antoinette does not look exactly as on the photos. Many of the ornaments on the walls were ripped off and placed in various places around the room when we came in. While the towels were clean and dry, the bed linens did not appear washed. They did not have detergent smell but also did not have any visible stains. As it was late, we decided to sleep as they were. In whole, the room had a disheveled appearance. The location is perfectly between Bywater and the French Quarter. We had a wonderful time exploring the neighborhood, and walking all over New Orleans.

    Ania2017-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, we really enjoyed staying outside of the French quarter and seeing more of the city. Andrew left a guide to the city with some recommendations for places to eat locally and things to do, really helpful and well thought out! The room was great, huge bed and effective aircon! Everything was clean and well presented. Would recommend staying here!

    Helen2015-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Not too costly to take an Uber to the French Quarter. The offering of bikes is a nice bonus! The price and availability during Jazzfest was great!

  • The place had easy directions to understand, and I arrived without any hiccups. If you don't have a vehicle, the bikes available to guests make it easier to get to restaurants in other neighborhoods too!

  • Coco and Andrew's creative homebase was perfect for my three-day stay in NOLA. The self-serve process to check in is quick and easy, making for a relaxing first day in town. (Travel Tip: take the e2 bus from the airport to downtown, then hop on bus 91 to get within 4 blocks of the house for just $3.25 in fares.) The interior of Coco's home is magical, furnished and decorated with a mix of vintage treasures and original art. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful by day and night (perfect for sleeping in and/or working at home), and friendly neighbors were happy to chat about the area with me when I passed by. An easy two-mile bike ride took me from the house to all of the Bywater/Marigny/French Quarter destinations I'd come to see. (Biking tip: most residential roads in NOLA are more cratered than the surface of the moon-- I found that the safest and smoothest biking path to/from the waterfront was to take Esplanade to either Burgundy or Royal; all seemed to be designated bike roads and friendly to cyclists.) I'd recommend this sweet spot as deal for any single or couple who are comfortable borrowing and riding the house's serviceable bikes, and who are looking for a creative oasis away from the typical commercial districts.

    Meredith2013-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first Air BnB experience, and it was an excellent one. The room was clean and comfortable - and the house overall was so cute, with twinkle lights to greet us as we walked the path to the back door. The neighborhood is a pleasant mix of row houses (some in disrepair, some in excellent condition) and very close to everything one would want to see in New Orleans. Like any place in New Orleans, we were careful to keep the doors of the car locked, but didn't feel unsafe. Still, as three young women, we preferred to take a taxi or drive when we were going to arrive back late.

This free standing casita, tucked away in a tropical garden, includes a small refrigerator with refreshments, jazz records, New Orleans literature, and a clawfoot tub. Off of Esplanade Avenue, it is halfway between the French Quarter and City Park.
The casita is located in the backyard of a side-gallery shotgun cottage. I have been renting it through Airbnb for two years but recently changed to my on profile. The main house was built as part of a series of shotguns developed by two brother from Cienfuegos, Cuba in the early 1860s. The casita is its own building, built in a modern design in 2010. You can come and go as you please through our lush side garden. Inside, there is a very comfortable queen sized bed and bathroom with a clawfoot tub. You are welcome to use the washer and dryer and there is a small refrigerator and kettle. We include some local snacks as part of your stay. We also have a record player with music from New Orleans and books from the region and my own nonprofit publishing organization, the Neighborhood Story Project, for you to enjoy while you are here.
This old Creole neighborhood, in the heart of downtown New Orleans, is in between the French Quarter and City Park. Just a block and a half off Esplanade Avenue, a beautiful boulevard canopied in live oak trees, it is also very close to Bayou Road, the first road in New Orleans! From the house, you can walk to this street, where there is a wonderful collection of shops, including the Pagoda Cafe with the best coffee in town and wonderful breakfast and lunch (located in an old Chinese laundry building), the King and Queen's Emporium (which sells handmade soaps in one of the city's first public market buildings), the CocoHut (New Orleans/Jamaican food), and Domino Sounds Record Shop, which has been featured in national publications as one of the best record stores in the country.
  • Rachel’s place is close to a lot of different exciting areas in town- less than a $10 Lyft to go just about anywhere. Everything was great!

    Katie2018-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • The casita is as you see it in the profile. Nestled in the quiet backyard of Rachel's it makes for a good basecamp for visiting NOLA. Plenty of Uber and Lyft drivers nearby. Rachel is very responsive and accommodating.

    Rhyno2018-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great experience at the Casita. The process was simple which made the trip even better. We enjoyed the gifts and listening to the records. Thank you Rachel!

  • Cozy space that has all you need for a nice getaway to NOLA. Clean, neat, and very conveniently located, we only had to drive about 5 minutes to get everywhere we wanted to go! Rachel also provided tasty snacks and teas which were very much appreciated for those early mornings. I would highly recommend staying here, it was lovely.

    Kelly2018-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel's casita was adorable and perfect for our stay in NOLA. Only critical feedback is we struggled with the gate a little getting in late at night, also there is no hair dryer so you will have to bring your own! Otherwise our stay was delightful and problem free!

A Newly renovated room which shares a bathroom with our #2 Room, the room has a standard double bed as well as a small refrigerator, a Table & Chairs, and Central Air Conditioning among other amenities. A complimentary Breakfast including fresh brewed coffee, cereal, toast and fruit is also available to guests, as is free use of our Bicycles. NOLA STR permit# 18STR-06203
This listing is for our 3rd bedroom. It has a shared bathroom. See our other listings (#1 or #4 for a private en-suite and #2 charming attic room with shared bath). The room does use a shared bathroom, but as most of our guests are focused on exploring the town, this is rarely more than an inconvenience. If you would prefer a room with a private bathroom, we would like to recommend our other listings Creole Cottage in historic Treme #1 and #4. The Cottage started life as a two family home shortly before the American Civil war and has been added to a number of times over the years, unfortunately the specifics of its history are difficult to pin down (although we can make some educated guesses). I am an Architect by trade, and Jazz Trumpet player by preference (I work on the house during the day and play music at night) currently I am in the process of restoring the cottage to its original character (with a few modern amenities). My Wife Liz assists with the Day to Day running of a Vintage Clothing Boutique in the French Quarter (just a stones throw from Jackson Square) which she commutes to either on foot along the Tree lined Boulevard or by the use of her Single speed cruiser (This town is very Bike friendly). My Son Avery moved here from New Zealand to assist with the renovations, although he has a habit of debating some of the design decisions with me, he's something of a geek and good with electronics. For those times you need a little down time, feel free to make use of our spacious (private) back yard, or find a spot on one of the chairs in our living room. Liz and I have traveled extensively (usually on a shoestring) and have friends in a number of countries, we're always happy to recount the tales of our adventures, or to listen to yours. It's a 20 minute walk(15 minute power walk!) to the French Quarter under those gorgeous 200 year old Oaks, surrounded by gorgeous 200 year old houses, on the old streetcar line. We have three beautiful rescued cats. Miss Doris Day from the Bronx and a couple of locals, Brian Lion and Rocky Raccoon. Our latest rescue is Sgt Pepper a Border Collie.
  • our second stay with Rick, Liz, Avery and menagerie was every bit as enjoyable as the first. We're greeted with warmth and kindness. Great area to stay in, we went out on the bikes this time, as well as being close to the French Quarter, it's only a short ride to City Park and a number of great, local cafes and restaurants. Highly recommended.

    Simon2014-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights. After reading the reviews we had expectations that were perfectly matched: Rick&Liz family were all super nice, including dog and cat. The house is very pretty and they were extremely helpful and easygoing. We found that the bikes were a great plus to our stay since the location of the house was perfect to ride everywhere, to French quarter and city park. We would def recommend staying there, as we would go back again with no doubts.

    Filipa2014-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved staying with Rick, Liz and Avery for the week that we were in New Orleans. Everything was fantastic. From the use of the bikes and washing machine to the places they recommended, everything was perfect. I think that they were born to host. Great people. Great place. Great dog.

    Gemma2015-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first time visiting New Orleans and Rick and Liz were so warm and welcoming. They made us feel very comfortable right away. We loved talking with them and discussing NOLA. They offered us use of their bikes to ride around town which was a great perk that we took advantage of often. The room was fantastic and the whole apartment was quaint and picturesque. We really enjoyed our stay with them and would absolutely plan on staying again next time we are in NOLA.

    Krisi2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is a stunning home. The host family has thought of it all - thoughtful decor, guidebooks, bicycles, Homemade cereal! While the house isn't very near a ton of restaurants or points of interest, it is very easy to get to them with one of their bicycles in a few minutes, and it's fun too. There are a few cats and a dog that add extra warmth to this cozy spot. Liz and Avery were helpful and kind throughout our stay. Would stay with them many many times again.

    Matthew2017-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I loved staying at Rick and Liz's place! It was very charming and met all of our needs. We enjoyed spending some time with their cats and dog when we were at the house. We would stay there again next time we're in town.

    Sonia2016-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful stay in Rick and Liz's beautiful home. The six nights I was there went far too quickly! I've stayed in a lot of AirBnBs recently, and I can say that Rick and Liz are the nicest and most friendly hosts that I've met. They care that people have a good stay and enjoy their time in Nawlins. The breakfasts were great, the room (especially the arm chair) was very comfy) and the location is perfect for the French Quarter. I can recommend nearby Buffy's for a good burger and live music away from the frenetic Bourbon or Frenchman. I can't recommend this AirBnB highly enough, if it's available then book it as I don't think you'll do any better in New Orleans.

Our Mid-City private unit is 1 block off Canal St and the street car, walking distance to City Park and several other amazing local neighborhood bars and restaurants. A 5-10 minute drive to downtown & FQ or walk a block to the streetcar stop Some notable amenities-Full kitchen, central air/heat, WiFi, LCD television & Cable, Washer/dryer, full bath. Living amenities: Queen bed, futon, linens, towels & washcloths, pots/pans & dishes and basic necessities like toilet paper and paper towels.
Completely renovated half of a "shotgun double" (essentially a duplex for those not familiar with New Orleans), about 650 sq/ft. Our home was built in the early part of the 20th century (c. 1906). Through our renovation, we took extensive measures to maintain the historic nature of our home and fuse with modern conveniences.
Mid City is a great part of town to spend your time in New Orleans because it's roughly a 10 minute drive to just about any tourist attraction you might enjoy (e.g. in the French Quarter, CBD or Uptown). It's a peaceful and quiet neighborhood, and also has some of the best places to eat and visit for entertainment in the city. There's always street parking in front of or near our house if you bring your car, which is safe to leave and there is no cost for parking.
  • This was a beautiful home to vacation in. It is located in a safe, quiet neighborhood with lots of access to restaurants, public transportation, and a beautiful park! It is a perfect place to call home when exploring all that New Orleans has to offer. Glenn is an exceptional host - very communicative and accommodating. We could not have been happier with our stay!

  • Glenn was absolutely amazing! He even emailed from work to make sure my boyfriend and I arrived safely and got inside okay! I will definitely try to book his place again!

  • We wanted to be close to Fairgrounds and we're happy to see local restaurants that we could walk to. We had a great breakfast at Ruby Slipper, able to walk to the library to print off boarding passes and only a block to the canal street trolley. The Beachcorner was around the block and was a nice local bar. We would stay here again.

    Karen2017-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place, safe and very clean! I appreciated how easy it is to get to from the trolley. Hosts were very accessible, I am sorry that my conference kept me too busy to meet them!

    Anthony2017-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for Memorial Day weekend, and enjoyed our stay. This book loft seems like it might actually be an attic that they renovated into a living space, but they had two air units and two fans going at all times. Even then, it gets pretty hot during the day, but we tried not to spend too much time in the room because we wanted to explore the city. The restroom does not have any air circulation so the only thing they have set up is a small fan, but it's still rough when you have to use the toilet and you're sweating bullets. The day we got into town, there had been a very strong storm system that moved in earlier in the day. There was a roof leak directly above the bed so the duvet had an enormous water spot. However, we contacted Jon and he promptly provided us with extra blankets to change out. The room itself was pretty spacious, but my fiancé is 6' 3" so he had to be cautious moving around because his head touched the ceiling. The shower was also a challenge for him. Very tiny, and he had to maneuver himself in order to get water from the shower head. The bed was SUPER comfortable, it's an amazing king-sized bed and we slept very well. The neighborhood is a little sketchy, but we never felt like we were in danger, and they have security cameras and codes to get into the residence. The location is amazingly close to everything, and as soon as you turn the corner, you can hop on the street car, which takes you down to the Quarter. We also took an Uber down to Bourbon St. and it was only $7. Overall, it was a pretty good stay, and it helped that we had a blast on our long weekend getaway.

    Claudia2016-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • Cute little place hidden in the less-busy section of New Orleans. Keeley was super nice and quick to respond. The place is very cozy and charming but beware if you're over 5'7", the ceiling is on the lowside with protruding columns running across. I hit my head at least once every night when going to the bathroom. Also because the loft doesn't have any windows there's virtually no sunlight so at night it's pitch-dark. The home itself it's only about a 10 minute ride to the french quarter and the business district so location-wise it's pretty good.

    Jorge2015-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time here at Jonathon's. We will recommend it to our friends. It was close to everywhere we wanted to go and a great value.

    Janet2017-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • Lower cost outside the fresh quarter but within walking distance.

    Paul2018-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful and unique space! Jon and Keely are incredibly welcoming. Good communication and super informative. The room is gorgeous! And the shared space is a great way to meet new people. :)

    Sandi2016-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • The pros: - right near the street car and a nice walk away from the main streets you want to see! - nice decor in house and lovely hosts! We had a lovely greeting! - secure room Cons: - floors were dirty- can't walk bare foot In the house as you'll end up with black feet. - the loft was way too hot with no window to let any light in at all. Woke up in darkness which was very disorientating. - no sink to wash cups or bowls apart from your bathroom basin which wasn't ideal.

    Krystie2016-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Such a unique experience! Was fun to be able to walk to the French quarter during the day, and convenient/cheap to Uber back at night.

One bedroom, ground level apartment in quiet City Park Triangle. Walk to City Park, Jazz Fest, and street car to French Quarter. Fenced yard with gazebo and fire pit. Short walk to coffee shops, restaurants, and shopping.
City Park Triangle is a quiet and safe neighborhood. It is very well located to provide easy access (1/2 block) to City Park (Art Museum, Botanical Gardens, Morning Call) and just 0.4 miles to N. Carrolton Ave to restaurants, shopping and a stop for the Canal St. streetcar line to the French Quarter, Convention Center, WWII Museum and much, much more.
  • Joan’s place is really pretty and in a great location! You must stay here

  • Joan’s place was by far the best Airbnb we have stayed in. The apartment was adorable with many friendly and cozy touches. The location is perfect! Anything we wanted to do was either a quick walk or Uber ride away. She also had many local suggestions that were amazing! Looking forward to staying with her again!

    Lindsay2018-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommended!! Great location! City Park is literally right across the street. Joan was super helpful. She was there to answer any questions and had great tips for traveling around New Orleans. Will stay here again on my next trip.

  • Words can't describe this apt. It's in a great safe location....close to streetcars and local resturants. Nice touches had water and pralines waiting for us along with coffee available. Joan was friendly and full of helpful local tips. The bed is super comfy and perfect to return to after a long day out. Loved our stay and will stay with Joan again if we ever find ourselves back in NOLA.

  • this was the perfect location for anything you wanted to do. we were 5 minutes away from many cafes and about 15 minutes away from bourbon. the room was very nice but my boyfriend is quite tall (5’9”) and almost hit his head on the ceiling multiple times so beware of that for all the tall folk! joan was very attentive and sweet plus left pralines, coffee and tea for us. (:

Why rent a room when you can rent a tiny house for your trip to New Orleans. This 650 sq ft home is just steps away from the French Quarter. Everything from Bourbon Street, Frenchmen Street, streetcar, bikeshare, and the Central Business District are all just a short stroll away. Private entrance through luscious garden. Perfect for a couple or a couple of friends. Cleaning free is included in nightly rate so there are no extra hidden fees with this listing. (City License: 18STR-15360)
Our guesthouse is located in the rear of our property. Estimated to have been built in 1837 (the same date as the main house), this space has gone through a total transformation. A mix of modern and old New Orleans bundled into a small house. There are 8 sets of French doors, and 4 sets of casement windows, allowing for the space to be drenched in natural light. When the weather is nice and a cool breeze is blowing, there is nothing better than opening all the doors and windows so you can take in all the sounds the neighborhood has to offer. Downstairs is an open living room and kitchen area with a complete 4 piece kitchen suite (full sized fridge stocked with bottled water and a Keurig with coffee), and a moveable island. There is also a flat screen TV with DVR, HBO (so you don't have to worry about missing Game of Thrones), Netflix and Amazon Prime. Netflix and Prime are already logged in for you to use. A spiral staircase leads you upstairs where there is a king sized bed, walk-in closet, a spacious bathroom, and 12 foot ceilings with exposed beams. Want to lounge outside? Hang out in the shared courtyard or if you prefer privacy there is a private patio behind the guesthouse. Parties over 2 persons will not be considered and will be turned away upon arrival. Parking is street parking which is unrestricted and free to all. Cleaning fee is included in the nightly rate so there is no extra hidden fees when staying with us. (City License: 18STR-15360)
The Treme is a wonderful and unique neighborhood unlike any other in the United States. St. Augustine Church is on the corner, which leads to many Jazz Funerals and Second Lines. The church also has an amazing Sunday Mass that is open to the public. As a younger nephew noted, "It's not really Sunday Mass, it's a concert!" Mardi Gras Indians regularly wander the neighborhood, as well as brass bands, musicians, and a pair of cowboys who are always walking their llamas, Shetland ponies, and goats. There is always something going on and the people in the neighborhood are friendly and talkative. You can learn just as much about New Orleans from the folks on the street in the Treme as you could with a tour guide charging you an arm and a leg to walk around the Quarter.
  • We had an awesome stay at Bret’s place over Christmas. The space was just as described. Great location, close to everything. We had no issues finding parking spaces on the block. Oh, and their dogs are super cool!

    Dan2017-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Bret and Brad were great, good communication, helpful, friendly hosts. The guesthouse is in a convenient location that makes it easy to get around town. Take Really comfy bed, well appointed bathroom. Pack light as you'll have to carry things up a narrow spiral staircase (and down narrowish walkway on side of house). Their dogs are friendly so helpful to like dogs (I loved them). Just a really comfortable space and I look forward to booking with them again. Say hey to their neighbors when you see them around, it's the New Orleans thing to do.

    Cheryl2017-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • The location is fantastic for visiting the French Quarter and Frenchman Street clubs/restaurants. You can literally walk just a few leisurely blocks down and be in Jackson Square. Easy access to the streetcars on Rampart will get you just about anywhere else in Central New Orleans. Brett, the host, was very warm and attentive, and the accommodations are quiet, secure and quite comfortable. The only caveat is you must be comfortable navigating the interior spiral stairs; I’m a little older, though nimble, and getting my suitcase up and down was a little tricky. Overall, an easy 5 stars.

    Roscoe2018-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks a million for your nice and warm welcome! Great house very quiet and very close to everything though .

  • A massive thank you to Brad for all the recommendations! We loved everyone that we tried and felt that we got to explore the city like a local (we had the best night of our road trip so far at the bacchanal wine followed by ribs at the Joint). Also thanks to Bret for personally being there to check us in and give us tips on arrival and telling us the history of the accommodation. We loved our stay, the place and you as hosts! Hope to revisit NOLA, as time flew by and we felt there was so much more to see, and would love to come back and stay with you again.

    Justin2016-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • From the moment my friends and I arrived at this beautiful Treme Guesthouse it was a memory in the making. We were greeted by the host Brad and we felt very at home. We had our own private gate entrance and the guesthouse is beautiful. The accommodations are great. There was water in the fridge, cups, glasses, bath towels, a jawbone speaker that we loved and a beautiful balcony that overlooked the courtyard. If you desire to be minutes away from the Quarters and Bourbon this is the place for you. I am trying to come up with another reason to go back and simply enjoy this space again. Brad was even amazing enough to be our photog for an hour as my friends and I did an impromptu 'photoshoot'. How many stars can I give my experience and this home? Because all of them are most deserved and I am originally a Louisiana native so this says a lot. Take me back to the birthplace of JAZZ please I beg you. Happy New Year! Reserve now.

    James2016-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome Host and Great Location. We really enjoyed our stay here. Will be looking to stay here again next time we visit. Thanks Bret!

Also close to Frenchman Street which is the best street for enjoying the local jazz scene of New Orleans as well as St. Claude Ave which is an up and coming street with art galleries/bars and vaudeville/circus nexus of the city. position, position, position. If that's what you want, this has it. You will be hard pressed to find anything this size and this close to the heartbeat of the musical, gastronomic and cultural delights of New Orleans at this price point. Just 3 blocks to the French Quarter, 1 block from Louis Armstrong Park and 2 blocks from Esplanade, you're smack dab in the middle of trendy Treme, while being an easy stroll or bike ride to the French Quarter, the Marigny or Frenchman St for a nightly musical smorgasbord. Seeking a single/couple of nonsmoking guests who can appreciate a clean and comfortable respite. On a property that houses 3 apartments, historic creole cottage, an attached studio is available for short stays. Newly renovated large studio space with hardwood floor throughout, furnished with leather sofa, desk and kitchen table. Studio has a Kuerig style coffee maker, small mini fringe and microwave. Small and cosy separate bedroom with double/full sleigh bed and clothes hanging space. Two private locked entrances with fly screen doors separate and independent of main building. AC/heat, controlled temperature. The backyard is shared and a tranquil retreat in the middle of a very central city location. • Whitney is a very nice person, easy to communicate. Her apartment is located near the vibrating French neighbourhood and not far from the downtown. The apartment was clean and had everything you need to enjoy this city. I would definitely recommend Whitney to everyone who chooses airbnb.

    Vladimir2012-12-06T00:00:00Z
  • Fab spot and Whitney had thought of everything. Highly recommended.

  • For us Nola's studio was the perfect place. Quietely situated in the nice neighborhood Tremé and still close to the French Quarter. The place is clean, quiet, comfortable and cozy! We were hosted by Brian & Dawn; a very pleasant, helpful and relaxed couple. Definately a place to recommend for a great stay in New Orléans.

    Jan-Willem2013-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • Nola was the perfect place to stay in New Orleans. You could easily walk to the French quarter and Frenchman street as well as the CBD. The neighbourhood was safe and we had the best night at the Candlelight Lounge right around the corner on a Wednesday night. The Treme brass band was exceptional! The studio was perfect and exactly as depicted in the photos. Whitney was lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again!

    Stephanie2015-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Whitney's Nola studio was adorable! Pics don't do it justice.. Her husband was great in giving us dinner ideas and chatting with us about the area.. We felt totally comfortable and very much enjoyed our stay. They were quick to respond to any questions we had. Cutest little place..

    Tonya2016-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Whitney's place is in a fantastic location. The apartment was clean, cozy and nicely appointed. Whitney is very responsive and gives detailed instructions for all that is needed. Would not hesitate to book again!!

  • Whitney and Thomas were simply amazing hosts! I think you can always tell the most about service by how things are handled when there are mistakes - and by this measure Whitney and Thomas are absolutely first class. When we arrived late in the evening the night before Thanksgiving, we found that, due to a mix-up with their cleaner, the studio had not been cleaned from the last guests and Whitney and Thomas were out of town for the holidays. We called Whitney and (even though I am pretty sure we woke them up) they straight away organized a hotel room for us in the French Quarter and even sent a car to pick us up. Truly amazing service dealing with an unfortunate error. We moved into the freshly cleaned studio the next day and it is lovely. Great private studio with everything you need for a short stay. Easily walking distance to most of the key New Orleans areas (French Quarter, Fauberg Marigny, Frenchman St.) The apartment is exactly as pictured. I would highly recommend staying at Whitney and Thomas's apartment.

    Nick2015-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Whitney informed us weeks ahead of time that she would not be in town the weekend that we were expected to arrive. She had arranged for 2 contacts to meet and greet us. We contacted Brian when we arrived and he met us out front right away and showed us around. The studio was just as we had expected. It was very clean, perfeft spot for a couple for a weekend trip. They even had some complimentary local micro-brews in the fridge, along with a water coller! The neighborhood was a few blocks from the quarter and we walked everywhere... very close to the attractions. Would highly recommend!

Half double conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood in the Gentilly area. Only 3 miles from the French Quarter, Superdome, and downtown New Orleans.
Newly built home (June 2016) with two private bedrooms and two private bathrooms. Outdoor deck and grill in back. With private driveway for off-street parking.
The neighborhood is very quiet and conveniently located only 2 miles from Bourbon Street, 3 miles from the Superdome, and centrally located to pretty much any other area of the city.
  • It's a great comfy house that is close enough to all the local hot spots that driving or Ubering is a valid option. Donnell is a great and communicative host that really makes you feel at home.

    Jacob2018-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • I rate Donnell's place as one of the best value on AirBnB. The place is sparkling clean and located within minutes of driving to all points of interests. I would stay there again next time.

  • This house is fairly new and is absolutely gorgeous . It is in a great location from the French Quarter and Burbon St. The owner is very kinda and response back in a timely manner. Great place to stay if your looking for a friendly neighborhood and place close to everything.

    Kaelyn2018-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Donnell’s place was exactly as described and we loved it. It was sparkling clean and the bed was very comfortable. We had a lot of rain during our stay and ended up staying in more than anticipated but the house was wonderful to come back to after each drizzly day. The giant tub was a big plus, plenty of hot water and the towels were luxurious. Donnell was a great host! Great location and great deal, would definitely recommend and stay again!

    Jennifer2018-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location from the things we wanted to tour. Most of the mtg spots were in the French Quarters area. Great location and very close to get on the freeway. I would totally recommend this place and I would definitely stay here again. It was enough room for the 5 of us.

    Maria2018-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • This place was amazing! Very clean and spacious. Donnell was very informative about restuarants, lakes and the super dome. My first experience in NOLA was great because of Donnell.

Located on the grand promenade of historic Treme, fully equipment: coffemaker, refri, micro, TV, Free wifi , 2 full beds ( 4 guestsl) 1 futon sofa bed, and kitchenette. 1.4 miles, 25min/walk to French quarter 5 min. Whole food market, Willie Maes Restaurant, and close to system of transportation.
There is room to park in front of 2636 Saint Ann, on the street next to the orange cone, (one side of a duplex house) or you could park cross street, if there is not much traffic.
The neighborhood is safe, but still is in process of recovering since hurricane Katrina ( 2005).
  • Two of us shared this space for a 3 day stay and it was great for a place to wind down at the end of a day of exploring. It is a little further away from the main nightlife and attractions for tourists but it is close enough if you don't mind a quick taxi/uber ride or a walk. It was a fairly quiet spot and it felt safe the whole time...Fernando lives in the attached house and was always willing to lend a hand if anything came up. Also the Whole Foods store was only a few blocks away which was perfect for what we needed! Would stay again for sure!

    Chelsea2017-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place was perfect got my husband and I. The location is great. While we didn't walk to nearby places, we used Uber a few times. $8 max per trip we took. This rental is everything you need for a good trip to NOLA! We didn't get the chance to meet Fernando but he was a pleasure to communicate with; always a quick response!

    Brandi2016-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • A nice clean apartment. Quick and friendly communication. But the apartment is a bit small. There was no place to hang our clothes. What was really disturbing though were the 'neighbors' smoking weed and talking till 3am right in front of the apartment.

    Marie2017-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great communication. He answered any questions I had even while at work quickly. Everything was exactly as advertised. It is a nice place and I would stay again.

    Michael2016-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Fernando was so accommodating. He allowed us to drop off our luggage early as we arrived before check in and then also allowed us to check in early that day. He also responds to text any time of the day should you have a question.

    Amber2016-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Easy access to property. Clean and great for a group. 5-7 minute uber ride to the French Quarter

    Karah2017-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • Fernando was extremely hospitable! His property was clean, safe and centrally located to everything. I couldn't picture my stay in New Orleans without Fernando and his property!

    William2016-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Definitely smaller than expected but we did have 6 guests. It worked for what we needed which was an inexpensive place to stay for our pre cruise vacation. Fernando lives next door which was helpful for when we had questions. The place seemed newly renovated and was clean. I would say great for a place to crash if you have around 4-6 guests. Overall I'm pleased.

Come be a guest in my lovely two-room suite, located in my historic Marigny cottage, three blocks from Frenchmen Street and a 15 minute walk to Jackson Square in the French Quarter!
Two rooms, with an arch in between, in my Marigny home: a bedroom with a Queen sized bed, and a sitting area with a daybed set up as a couch, but can sleep a third person (twin mattress. ) The space features hand-stencilled walls and is furnished with an eclectic mix of antiques, vintage furniture, art and books...and a vintage baby grand piano! There is a small chest of drawers and an Art Nouveau wardrobe in which to store your clothing and other items. Amenities include wireless internet, a mini-fridge, and a new 24" television with a Roku and cable. The bathroom is 'European Style', meaning it is shared with the rest of the house, which is just me. It is a short walk through two rooms to the bathroom, which is fitted with a claw-foot tub and a rain shower head. Guests also may use my washer and dryer and have access to an iron and ironing board. I am extremely scrupulous when it comes to linens; all sheets and towels are white and are bleached and put through the sanitizing cycle of my washer in between guests. There is a latch on the shared bathroom door for privacy, and one on the door which connects your suite to the rest of the house so you can lock yourself in.
Marigny is a wonderful, eclectic, artsy neighborhood and is the second oldest neighborhood in the city, the French Quarter being the oldest. My home is a 15 minute walk away from Jackson Square in the heart of the Quarter, and is three blocks from Frenchmen Street. Who Dat Cafe and Orange Couch are nearby coffee shops (two and three blocks away, respectively) and there are numerous dining and shopping choices nearby without even having to go to the Quarter, including a Co-Op grocery store and Walgreens.
  • Merry was the hostess with the mostess! Fantastic to communicate with, more than accommodating, and attentive. Her JAW DROPINGLY GORGEOUS home is immaculate, and impeccably decorated. Our stay here was one of our favorite parts of the trip. The Marigny neighborhood is awesome, and Merry's home is the epitome of historic charm, helping make our experience feel as authentic as you can get. Definitely would stay again!

    Amber2015-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Reading some of the reviews and staying with Merry were very similar, but after arriving that there was so much more. From her kindness to her warm and loving hospitality. I didn't feel like I was meeting someone I just meant, but a longtime friend of family. The house is amazing and if you stayed there before it is even greater now. I arrived a stranger and left with three amazing friend's(love ya hugo)

    Eric2016-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Merry was absolutely fantastic and I would recommend her to every airbnb user I know. Her home was very welcoming and she treated my buddy and I like family. Her dog Hugo Boss was our best buddy while we were there. The room fit my buddy and I perfectly. She definitely doesn't lack in hospitality. She had perfect recommendations on what and where to go in the city. All in all an A++ all the way across the board. Thanks again Merry!

    Patrick2016-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great and safe place, very close to the French quarter. Lovely host, very kind and helpful.

    Mehdi 2017-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • Merry was so friendly and accommodating... Her pup Hugo is a jovial host as well. The space is absolutely stunning. Every piece has a history which creates a beautifully layered style. It was a joy to stay there, one of our favorite spaces of our travels around the world so far. And it is no wonder- she's a professional stylist--and a great one at that!

    Samantha2016-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • I've been to New Orleans many times as it's one of my favorite cities, and this is by far the best place I've stayed! I have a lot of friends and family that like to frequent the city as well, and will definitely be recommending Merry's place to them!

    Christine2018-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Merry is an exceptional hostess! Her place is super cute and charming and she went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The neighborhood is well located and very hip. Absolutely loved our stay and highly recommend for anyone coming to NOLA!

    Foster2018-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Merry's home was very comfortable and everything in the home is clean..super clean linens and towels here!! She made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Great location....many places within walking distance. I would definitely stay again if I visit New Orleans.

This is a "mother in law" apartment added to my house in the 60's. Its a separate residence from my house and although attached there is no access between the two dwellings. Minutes to the French Quarter, downtown, the lakefront, and Mid City. Sure, you can find cooler places in hipper neighborhoods but you will pay ALOT more. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids).
It's a small (400 sqft) mother in law that was added in the 60's. It cozy and has "charm" in its own way. The bathroom is a kitschy 60's yellow with black trim, and the kitchen boasts a vintage Anderson stove from the 50's. No doubt moved from the main house after the renovation, the stove is like an old Cadillac. It's huge! I have cooked on it a bunch and I actually want to restore it and put it back in the big house. Someday, but for now you can enjoy it. All the burners work, as well as the broiler and hot plate. I never did try and fire up the slow cooker. Currently the oven thermostat is malfunctioning so if your yearning to bake I'll hook you up with my oven. The apartment could use a real renovation as the kitchen cabinets and floors are old and dated but it's not going to happen for a while, hence the low price. It's clean, and we keep it nice, besides you didn't come all the way here to spend time in a house.
Gentilly is quiet suburb just 3 miles north of the French Quarter of traditionally working class families. The homes are larger, and spaced on larger lots than some of the older more historic neighborhoods. My house was built in the 1920's, on gentilly ridge. It's the highest point around, and was high ground for Katrina. We were an island during Katrina, Betsy, and Camille! Getting around is easy. We are centrally located with fast access to the quarter, Mid City, the Fairgrounds, City Park, and the lakefront. You can be almost anywhere in the city in under 10 minutes or less.
  • Joe's place is exactly as described. It was very clean, stocked with plenty of linens and pillows and even several bathroom items incase you forgot or run out of shampoo etc. Joe was friendly and he had lots of info about New Orleans and the area in the airbnb. We enjoyed our stay.

    Deborah2018-01-22T00:00:00Z

  • Wow! Totally above and beyond. Everything was just like going to a relatives house. We hope to come back and stay again. We had a few questions and talk about fast response!! You will not be sorry for staying here.

    Angela2018-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful area just a quick Uber ride from the French Quarter! Very quiet neighborhood and would definitely stay again!

    Ally2018-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Joe was wonderfully kind and gracious! The bed was incredibly comfortable and it was peaceful outside. I hope to come back again soon!

    Calífornía2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was exactly as described and very comfortable. Joe met us when we arrived and gave us a quick introduction to the apartment and then allowed us to settle in and go about our holiday. He was available if needed but otherwise we felt very much secluded and at home (which was perfect!). The apartment is the perfect location. It’s just a quick Uber or bus ride to nearly every hot spot around town but off the beaten path enough to allow for a nice quite evening if you decide to stay in. I highly recommend staying with Joe!

    David2017-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Joe's. It was so clean and a big space for 2. It was right around the corner from a bus stop that comes around every 30 mins & about an 11 minute uber from downtown. Very comfy bed & even though we didn't get to see Joe as we came late & left early he was super quick to respond whenever we had a question. If we come to New Orleans again we'd definitely stay at Joe's. So homey!

One of a kind house overlooking Bourbon St. and Orleans Ave. across from the Bourbon Orleans Hotel. This overlooks Bourbon Street in the exact center of the French Quarter.
This is an upstairs unit with a corner Bourbon Street balcony in the middle of one of the most iconic locations in the city.
This is a unique place and you will be living in the very center of the French Quarter. I love our neighborhood because of its uniqueness, diversity, and liveliness. It is so rich with history and recognizable around the world as " New Orleans". Whether it's 3 o'clock in afternoon or 3 o'clock in the morning, there is always something going on in the French Quarter.
  • Very clean place right on bourbon street lots of fun. Great host who was helpful with returning something that was left behind after I checked out.

    Daniel 2017-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • The studio was great, very clean and the location is the best. Andres is a great host and he helped and answer all our questions. I definitely recommend this place and i am looking forward for my next trip to New Orleans

    Nicolae2017-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great location on bourbon. The earplugs were a thoughtful touch and so needed! Be mindful there are no pots or pans, ice or bottle openers and corkscrews. Beds were comfortable. Worth every penny!

    Candice2018-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • This space is in the ultimate location right in the middle of Bourbon - just a short walk from favorites like Tropical Isle, Oceana Grill, Acme Oyster House, Cafe Du Monde and Muriel's. Having a view from the balcony made the experience all the more exciting, and the apartment was actually bigger than I expected (there were 8 of us total). Andres and Scott were really nice and responsive throughout the weekend as well. I would definitely recommend booking this place!

    Samantha2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • The location is amazing, with balcony access! Andres was quick to respond if we had any questions

    Bianca2018-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Loved my weekend there with two girlfriends! A few more amenities would have been nice: ice in the freezer upon arrival, more provided coffee and real coffee mugs. Overall though, still a very fun, convenient place to stay in the Quarter!

    Susan2018-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay on Bourbon St. ..exceeded expectations. Thanks.

My place is close to six block from French Quarter, three blocks from Louis Armstrong Park, lots of restaurants and live entertainment. You’ll love my place because of the comfy bed and the coziness.
  • If you're staying in Treme, it's because you want to understand the history and culture of New Orleans deeper. This is the best place to do it, and Gwen's been in this house since the 40's so she's the best person to talk to about it. Her house is truly unique - the neighborhood equally so. Loved my time there! Logistically - it's not a far walk to the French Quarter area, same goes for some of the best restaurants like Willie Mae's and Dookie Chase in Treme.

    Jared2018-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Gwen's house is very unique indeed. It's what appealed us in the first place. Gwen was a very welcoming and friendly host. Our stay was good. A better mattress could have make our stay better, because this one is a bit exhausted. A note on the neighborhood ; The house is located in Treme. And even though Treme is next to the French Quarter it's a very different atmosphere. We never felt uneasy but it's a neighborhood to be mindful about at nighttime.

    Jeremie2018-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you for being my host for one night in NOLA, I had a good stay at your house. The room was small but appropriate, guests should'nt expect to much (no AC, no window to open at night). I would have loved to get to know you, but unfortunately we didn't meet. Communication was a little late, too. The entrance of your house is wonderful. All the best from Germany Michael

    Maria2018-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Gwen was so lovely and has a very interesting story to tell. Well worth sitting down and getting to know her. Her house is quite eclectic and peaceful and only a short walk from the French quarters.

    Laura2017-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Gwendolyn's house is pure New Orleans magic! It is a truly beautiful place, and Gwen is a sweet and lovely woman who made us feel very welcome. She even had champagne waiting for us in the room when we checked in!

    Smitty2017-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great value! Gwen is amazing & the place is so unique, in a great location.

    Madi2018-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • Gwen was the sweetest and check-in was very easy. The room was small which was perfect for me and my boyfriend. The place is very close to the French Quarter so it was not a long walk to enjoy the Bourbon St festivities. All in all a great place.

    Stefanie2013-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • Went on a girls' trip to New Orleans and the location was perfect. It was quieter neighborhood and a nice walk to the French Quarter. We felt safe coming back at night. The neighborhood was great with some restaurants. Our host was accommodating and friendly. The home was perfect for our needs with clean towels every day and snacks.

    Carly2015-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • We were greeted by Ernie who works for Robert and he did a fabulous job welcoming us. He brought us into the house, showed us around and brought to our attention all of the wonderful amenities that Robert was supplying us for our stay. There was fruit, cold bottled water, orange juice, coffee, snacks and more. The toiletries were wonderful: razors, shaving cream, toothpaste, powder, and more. My daughter and I were overwhelmed and thrilled to be so well taken care of. We were given pamphlets for all of the tourist attractions, maps of the neighborhood, taxi cab phone numbers and other transportation information. And then there was the Jacuzzi in the bathroom where we could soak and rest our very tired legs from our days at Jazz Fest. Our magical vacation in New Orleans began at Robert's house in the Bywater. There is absolutely nothing like true Southern hospitality and Robert and Ernie are wonderful representatives. I simply cannot wait to go back and stay there with my wife. She will flip.

    Andrew2015-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • I truly enjoyed staying in this very representative New Orleans home. Leslie spoiled me beyond belief with snacks, water, and a free drive to the French Quarter!

    Rob2017-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first Airbnb and we were impressed. Leslie is a great host. He was respectful of our privacy, but always available to answer any questions or help us. The rooms were also cleaned daily with fresh sheets and towels. The house is gorgeous with antique furniture. Much better than a typical hotel. Bywater is an awesome location that is close enough to the action, but far away enough for some peace and quiet. It's an up and coming area with some unique restaurants. Don't miss Satsuma (coffee, breakfast, fresh juice), suis generis (dinner), bacchanel (wine bar with tapas, cheese, live music), markey's bar, silk street (awesome happy hour) and Parleaux brewery. Parleaux is located around the corner from Bacchanel.

    Julie2017-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Leslie's was superb! Once we arrived at the house we were given a tour and mini history lesson from Leslie. Loved learning about why and when the house was built! As far as comfort, we had everything we needed and then some. The king sized bed has to be on the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on--didn't want to leave it! We made our own coffee at least once a day during our stay, and very much appreciated the restocking of water bottles and drinks in the fridges. Having our towels & laundry washed everyday was also more than we could ask for. The house itself is in a great location. We were able to walk to the French Quarter easily, and at night the Uber was just $5-$7. All in all, we had a great time at Leslie's and would recommend to anyone seeking a more authentic getaway in New Orleans!

    Aurelia2016-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • We picked a week to get away and had the good fortune of scheduling it during the run up to Mardi Gras. The facilities are exactly as presented with lots of little special extras provided by great hosts. The neighborhood is in rapid transition with new restaurants within two blocks all around. We like to walk so had no trouble getting to and from the French Quarter which is 1.1 miles away. The neighborhood is very welcoming. This is a city of food--wonderful food--and great music. Our first visit to New Orleans but certainly not our last.

    Douglas2013-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • When we arrived it was pouring, Ernie met us outside with a big umbrella and a welcoming smile. The flat was just as described in the pictures and information provided by Robert, a true New Orleans home. Ernie explained everything about the flat to us and provided excellent care throughout our stay. We were able to enjoy coffee which was provided by our host relaxing in the lovely living room. The beds were very comfortable allowing us to sleep soundly at night, the shower was so spacious!! The location was perfect with restaurants in walking distance and also very close to everyplace we wanted to be. We met Robert and spent some time chatting with him, he is delightful and a wealth of information. We were so comfortable during our stay, we loved the accommodations and all the extra little touches, both decorative and culinary. Our stay in Robert's place was superb, it will be our new home in NOLA whenever we are there!! Thank you Robert and Ernie!

  • Nice, clean, close. Wonderful for visiting New Orleans.

    Travis2018-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • True to the photos, the place is very stylish and clean. The location is convenient for exploring the French Quarter. The neighborhood is rich with history, the Catholic church across the street is one of the few established by the black community. Also, hot tip—the gas station around the corner serves some of the best fried chicken. And don’t be shy... say hello to the neighbors!

    Christine2018-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great for solo travelers or couples, the area inside couldn't accommodate more than 3 people max. NEAR French Quarter, located in Treme. No washer and dryer, but other than that the place is beautiful. Street parking is always available. You're close to everything, but if you're a night owl, I suggest taking an uber back. Truedell and Marc were kind and quick to communicate.

    Jordan2017-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable unit in a very eclectic neighborhood. It is walkable to most everything in the quarter. The rampart st. streetcar is less than a block away.

  • Such a lovely, clean and funky appartment. Close to Bourbon st, Frenchman st and other festivities. Communication was fantastic and very helpful. Uber and lift available. More in residential section in the Treme' neighbourhood.

  • Mark's place is beautiful and romantic and a nice way to wind down after a long crazy weekend of French Quarter Festival partying! Highly recommend.

  • Outstanding spot near the French Quarter! Great New Orleans row house vibe. The house is easy to get to from I-10 and has easy access to everything downtown. We love the French Quarter and staying at Mark's place. We also enjoyed meeting everyone! The host is gracious and easy to work with. Stay here you will love it!

  • I am so glad that we chose Mark's apartment for our 4-night stay in New Orleans. The location was excellent - short walking distance to the French Quarter and on a pleasant, quiet street.

Great location near Frenchmen Street, French Quarter & Market, Bourbon Street, Superdome, Garden District, & airport. Walking distance to Frenchmen Street, bus, and trolley lines! Private entrance, balcony, and garden. Huge spa bathroom with amenities. New fridge, microwave, coffee maker and beds. You’ll love my place because of the quiet neighborhood, remodeling, & new furniture. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).
Private, spacious room and spa bathroom. Close to everything in NOLA including the airport, downtown, Frenchmen Street, and the French Quarter. Sleep on the new, giant queen sized bed, and a new couch that converts to a queen sized bed (with 5 inch memory foam topper) for more guests. A coffee maker with coffee, creamer, and assorted teas is provided. A mini fridge and microwave give you a mini kitchen. There's a basket of snacks and fresh fruit, too! If you have a car, you can park in the driveway. The balcony, back garden, and private entrance is for your exclusive use, and we are improving the landscaping all the time (there's plans for a koi pond!) I drive for Uber, so if you need a ride I'm usually available if you give me a bit of notice, and cheaper than a taxi. I can also tell you the quickest routes to different places, and the best restaurants in NOLA! City registration has been applied for and is pending final approval.
Quiet and safe, central to the trolley, and a couple streets up from Frenchmen Street! Mostly families live around here, and the neighborhood is one of the oldest and most historic in NOLA. The drive to the French quarter is 5-10 minutes depending on your route, and you can walk there in around 30 minutes. The trolley is under a 10 minute walk away.
  • This is a very comfortable little place with a cozy porch, very comfortable beds, great shower, and fun decorations. Stephanie was a an accommodating hostess. We were amazed at how quiet the room was.

    Christie2017-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • Stephanie's place is fantastic just like her hospitality!

    Derrick2017-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Hostess was nice and quick to respond. The space was perfect for a couple and felt just like home. It felt private and everything was super cute! Everything we could have needed was there for us !

    Mary2017-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Stephanie has taken effort to make the place nice. It was clean, with small refrigerator, microwave, snacks. People should know that it is located in a struggling neighborhood. The drive way was blocked by a large trailer. If you have a car, the parking that she offers is basically on the street, and you park at your own risk. The space she offers is very small.

    Sheri2018-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great space for short stay! We were in town just for a Pelicans game and left next morning. Really close drive to French Quarter & Stephaine was wonderful with communication. Space was really clean, shower was large & appreciated the shampoo/conditioner/soap that was available. We rushed to get there & accidentally forgot ours so it was nice to see it there!! I'm totally a snacker and it was great that she had snacks in our room! Thank you for the wonderful stay!

    Nicole2017-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Stephanie’s place was just as pictured, clean, and comfortable. The location was quiet, and about a $10 uber ride into the city. Stephanie offered affordable rates for rides to and from the airport, and even grabbed our luggage for us when we had to check out a few hours before we were expected at the airport. Stephanie was always easily accessible through the Airbnb messaging service, but allowed us our space and privacy while we stayed.

    Amanda2017-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • It is far from the French Quarter. You need a car as it is not very advisable walking to there. Too small for three people. Noise from trains. Nevertheless the bathroom is beautiful and it it very well provided with everything you may need. Very small fridge but there is nowhere to cook anywhere. Just a microwave.

    Mónica2017-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • The place was fine for one night for 3 travelers and pets. Good value for the price. The neighborhood seemed a little sketchy and the street and streets getting there (via our Gps) were pretty torn up and bumpy, but overall it was a fine place to stay for a night. Unfortunately I wasn't receiving messages from air bnb (I think my service really sucked down there) so I didn't see the check in info and how to control the temps (she had to do it ) until the next day. It was very very hot sleeping but again it wasn't any ones fault but my cell service.

1 bedroom condo in the heart of the French Quarter. Just steps away from Bourbon St!! Walking distance to Canal st., Mercedes Benz Superdome, Harrah's Casino, Cafe' Du Monde, countless restaurants and more! The 1st bedroom is a private bedroom with 1 queen bed. The sofa is a sofa sleeper, there is a futon, and also an air mattress upon request. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
  • Excellent location, excellent apartment building. Had a great time here, and you will too!

  • Great place right in the middle of everything. Felt very secure and safe even though we were right in the middle of all the action! Condo was super clean and had everything we needed. Brittany answered all my questions ! Would stay again if life takes me back to NOLA!

  • The location could not be better.

    Lorie2017-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location. Close to everything but still quiet. Had a bit of a hard time getting into the building at first but host was quick to respond and help. Overall good stay.

  • Would highly recommend Brittany's place to anyone who wants to be near the craziness of Bourbon Street without being kept up all night by the noise. Her place was quiet, clean, seemed very secure, and she provided a very helpful guide that made the logistics of finding the building, getting the key, etc. much easier than in other Airbnb experiences I've had.

Victorian-style 100+ year old house on Frenchmen Street -- home of the best collection of jazz clubs in New Orleans -- and still only blocks from the French Quarter.
ROSE ROOM Frenchmen House is my home. I share it with my dog, Charles (a huge, cuddly golden retriever), Molly (king of the feline world), and my airbnb guests. I have three guest rooms. The house retains the architectural details that make New Orleans homes interesting and beautiful -- 13 ft. ceilings, transom windows, original wood floors, and double parlor with functioning pocket doors. Very few renovations have altered this original home, and its charm represents the homes of its era. The house is a side-hall shotgun, so unlike a traditional shotgun, one does not have to walk thru each room to get to the next. Great backyard for entertaining -- very private courtyard setting. Smoking is allowed in the backyard. PARKING: Easy on street parking, no meters, no time restrictions and always spaces available on my block.
I love that my neighborhood is just far enough away from the hubbub to be (relatively) quiet and actually be able to park a car, yet close enough to be in the midst of it all with a very short walk.
  • Great place to stay in a good location. Will definitely be staying here again in the future.

    Stephen2018-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay in New Orleans - what a place! The Frenchmen House is beautiful, and in an excellent location. Our hosts were courteous but we didn't get much of an interaction with them (maybe because multiple guests are staying in the house at a time). Noise travels really easily through the bedrooms so could be a problem if you are light sleeper depending on the other guests. We would still recommend for a short stay in NOLA.

  • I was so nervous to try out Airbnb again as a previous experience had been terrible. Joanne's place is beautiful, well located and just feels like home. Joanne was wonderfully helpful and provided us with everything we needed to ensure we had a wonderful stay. The beds are insanely amazingly comfortable!

    Roseanna2016-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • This was a lovely room in house that had charm on the inside, funk on the outside. The neighborhood borders the French Quarter and is perfect for anyone seriously into jazz.

    Audrey2015-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed being able to walk to the french quarter and free parking! Super cool house with lots of charm!

    Hayley2018-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • The room I stayed in is large and beautifully decorated. A+ for location, the home is supper close to public transit and very walkable to the French Quarter.

    Cassandra2017-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at Joanne’s place. Everything was very clean, communication was timely, and location was great! We would stay here again in the future.

  • We stayed in the “rose room” and it was amazing. The location is convenient to restaurants, jazz clubs, bars, etc. on Frenchman. The neighborhood is safe. Jo has thought of just about everything if you have forgotten something in your travels. The house is clean and well appointed. The rooms are lovely and bed is super comfy. Jo has a great space and creates a wonderful atmosphere for travelers as well. And you couldn’t ask for a better co-host than Charles!

Our newly renovated apartment is right in the middle of town, within walking distance of Magazine St. and just on the edge of the Garden District. Plus, it's just 3 blocks from the streetcar and St. Charles Ave.
Please be our guest in the newly renovated apartment situated at the back of our really old (1850s), charmingly-dilapidated house. It’s just a couple blocks from the parade route/street car/St. Charles, and only about a mile from the Superdome. They don’t call it Central City for nothing! Walk past the main house, down a winding brick pathway, and up the stairs to the private entrance. You enter into the kitchen, with concrete countertops, old wood floors, and plenty of sunlight pouring through the original wood windows with old bubbly glass. Fix yourself a drink and head up the spiral stairs to the bedroom. Just around the iron handrail is a full size bed, and plenty of reading material about the places you’ll want to see and the food you’ll want to eat while you’re here. Then venture out the bedroom door onto the balcony. Did I mention you’re on the third floor now? The view is excellent, the palm trees sway in the wind, and you can hear the marching bands as they pass down the parade route. I almost forgot the bathroom. Honestly, it’s not huge. But it’s everything you need, plus a claw foot tub. And cozy towels, and bubble bath, and . . . well, it’s a bathroom. And just in case you’re wondering, it also has a flat-screen tv, cable, internet, a microwave, a coffee maker, all the things you need in a kitchen, and probably some welcoming Abita beers in the fridge.
Central City is the Best! We're right in the middle of everything. . . and I don't mean right in the middle of the French Quarter, I mean in the middle of a less touristy, little bit quieter New Orleans. We're just on the edge of the Garden District, a short walk from Magazine St, and just 3 blocks form the streetcar line. Plus, we're only one block from the super hip, up and coming Oretha Castle Haley Blvd where you'll find the best coffee, the indiest movies, a few restaurants, the new Food and Beverage Museum, and a tatoo parlor in case you're in the market. So come check out my neighborhood, you'll love it like I do!
  • Jackson's apartment was just as described, and we had a wonderful, carefree experience. The place was clean and comfortable, and the location was extremely convenient to the St. Charles streetcar. We found walking to Magazine Street to be a breeze as well. Finally, we really enjoyed meeting Jackson's dog, Pearl, who was extremely friendly.

    Chris2015-05-16T00:00:00Z

  • My wife and I had a fantastic time during our stay. Jackson greeted us when we arrived and gave us valuable tips for our visit. The residence is as described and completely renovated. Close to trolley, food, entertainment and the Garden District. Next time back in New Orleans will stay again!

    Greg2015-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • Our experience staying here was fantastic. Not only was the location good but the apartment was in great shape, with an interesting modern-rustic style. There is even your own private balcony with chairs. Jackson left the apartment well stocked with amenities such as toiletries, cooking and cleaning supplies, and even rain jackets. The only minor negatives are: 1. chickens in a coop near the apartment (but they were quiet for the 4 days we were there) 2. the bathroom is downstairs from the bedroom and the spiral stairs are a little tricky at night, half-asleep. All together, this was a great experience staying here and an excellent value.

    Daniel2013-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed staying here. Super convenient to St. Charles streetcar/parade routes, garden district. Nice water pressure and temperature in the shower. Really clean and modern in function but charming in decor. Awesome 3rd story patio. Loved the Abita in the fridge and biscotti by the coffee! And the chickens outside were lovely.

    Beth2014-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Jackson's place was a perfect getaway spot! This unit has a lot of character and makes for a special visit, outside your ordinary hotel or spare bedroom. It feels very secluded, and the porch outside the bedroom provides a great way to finish a night with a glass of wine. The Garden District has plenty of things to walk around to and see, and Jackson is willing to give you all sorts of helpful tips about where to go. The area is safe, and parking is easy, with quick access to the streetcar to get downtown. I really recommend staying here, as you'll get the chance to see more than just the French Quarter, and enjoy a lot more of New Orleans!

    Harrison2014-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was perfect! Loved the charm and location as well as the attention to detail. We would definitely recommend it and would stay again for sure. Thanks again Jackson!

The Central Business District is a dynamic urban center with a colorful architectural history. This neighborhood is not only a central location for business travelers--it's also home to history and art museums and the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
  • Great location and cute spot, but we were given a wrong entry code and had a hard time reaching the host to gain access. We were in a big rush to get to rehearsal dinner so this was very inconvenient. We were quite disappointed as we’ve never had this trouble before staying in Airbnb locations.

  • The space was as advertised with beautiful little design touches, lots of natural light, and excellent location. It was also very clean. No major communication issues experienced, aside from not receiving details on how to check in. However, when I called Sonder, they gave me instructions verbally as well as sending to my email.

  • This place was awesome!! Brought my girlfriend to New Orleans and decided to stay at Sonders place. She’s never stayed at an Airbnb. She loved it. From the quick responses after booking to the cleanliness of the place. I would recommend anyone to stay at Sonders place. It’s right in the middle of everything which was a huge plus. Thanks again for a great stay.

  • The CS team were friendly and helpful, and did their best to resolve queries remotely. Location is pretty good, central to most things and a good base if you’re staying for a short while and want a CBD base for your trip. Apartment was clean.

  • Beautiful air bnb close enough to the French quarter to walk, but far away enough from all the noise. Very spacious with everything you could think of to make it convenient (washer, dryer, huge closet, pots and pans, cooking utensils). Beautiful skylights that have remote blinds (one blind was stuck closed during my stay, but I didn’t mind and Sonder said they’d fix it after my stay). Easy check in and check out, super quick responses and very amenable to any questions

Come stay at our precious little gem in New Orleans! Our guesthouse is unique and reflects the culture and arts found throughout the city. Each room is very private with keyed access. The spacious interior is cozy and inviting. Guests are welcome to make themselves at home and enjoy all that this great city has to offer!
This is a private room in a cozy, artsy five bedroom house. There is a shared living room, spacious kitchen, and two shared bathrooms with showers at the rear of the house. The backyard is also accessible to guests.
Jeremy’s home is located in a historic New Orleans neighborhood in the perfect location for visitors. During festival season you'll be guaranteed to experience the culture of New Orleans at it's best. City park, Frenchmen Street and Bourbon Street are a short distance away.
  • Cozy and not too far from the French Quarter. Good bang for your buck!

  • Julienne's place was lovely! This was my first time in New Orleans, and it was a great introduction. I never met Julienne, only Iris. She was always reachable by phone and was so accommodating. We arrived to the airport very early and she let us come drop off our bags 4 hours prior to check in time. My only complaint was the location. It was not within walking distance of much, and I did not feel safe walking around during the evening. I suppose this is more my fault for not doing better research before hand. I would definitely recommend this place! NOLA is incredible!

    Lauren2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable! Thank you Iris!

  • Absolutely artsy - the place has a great feel. Jeremy was a very helpful host, and the bathroom and kitchen spaces were just what we needed. Parking at home is a huge plus, and easily accessible (though I'd recommend getting a transit pass because downtown parking is expensive!)

  • Staying with Iris was an amazing experience! I stayed in the aqua room and it was very comfortable. I was In New Orleans for business and decided to extend my stay for the weekend and needed a place to stay. Iris was very kind in letting me drop my bags off early so I could go and explore the city. Her house is warm and welcoming and she is a great host. This is my first airbnb experience and it was fantastic it was a $ 5-6 uber ride everywhere. The house was quiet at night and easy to get an uber the next morning to the airport. Thanks for the hospitality Iris I'll be back for sure!

    Emily2016-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • My friend & I had a lovely stay at Julienne's place. We appreciated the complimentary snacks offered in the kitchen + the cozy feel of the home. I also thought the welcome sign on our door was a nice touch. Unfortunately we didn't feel too comfortable walking to and from the location once the sun went down, which we'd originally planned on doing. That being said, overall, we had a good experience. :)

We were staying in New Orleans for my bachelorette party and everything went so smoothly it was everything we could have hoped for. Jeremy replied to my emailed questions prior to the trip quickly and thoroughly. The three of us were flying in early on Friday and he had the home completely ready for our earlier check in time. He greeted us at the door, gave us our keys and a quick rundown of the home and property, and gave us some easy directions to key locations (left a few blocks to Frenchman's, right a few blocks to Bourbon). The home was very clean, comfortable, and had the New Orleans vibe you are looking for if you want an authentic stay! Originally there were supposed to be five of us staying, and the home would definitely have been more than spacious, giving everyone a comfortable place to sleep. The neighborhood seemed safe and was very quiet even on a busy weekend. Jeremy gave us a list of local hotspots and restaurants to try, which was welcomed for us tourists. When a minor issue came up he was readily available with a quick text/phone call and quick to fix it and even checked on us to make sure all was well later that night. This was the first Airbnb stay for my two friends and they were beyond impressed. Jeremy and his home made the entire New Orleans stay one to remember.
