A cozy cottage behind a lovely Victorian house. It has a 3/4 bath (shower). The cottage has a brick patio and a large trellis covered with roses and grape vines set in an English Garden. Also, see our equally nice "Victorian in the Heart of Ballard" rental: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/20928
A cozy cottage behind a lovely Victorian house with separate access and a 3/4 (meaning shower but no bathtub) bathroom. The cottage has a brick patio and a large trellis on the south side covered with roses, grape vines, and wisteria and is surrounded by an English Garden. The pictures posted should give you the right idea. (Alternative accommodation: We also have a really lovely rental space in the main house. See: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/20928 ) The cottage: there is a microwave, a small fridge, and an electric kettle for making coffee or tea. It offers considerable privacy if that is desired. The bed is queen-sized. Extra high-speed WiFi is also provided along with cable TV, including all of the premium channels. It is also possible to close some giant wood-paneled pocket doors if you want to divide the studio into a bedroom and sitting room, if case someone wants to sleep and someone else does not. The cottage is used as a studio by Liz (who is the English gardener) when it is not being used as a guest house. So there is a lot of (really excellent) art, mostly studies in the human form, on the walls and shelves. (If you would like a cast of one of the statues, talk to Liz.) The Ballard Neighborhood is a great place to visit: *10 minute walk to downtown Ballard with fabulous bars and restaurants, great Sunday farmers market, nice three-screen cinema, and much more. *5 minute walk to the Ballard Locks, where ships enter and exit Puget Sound from Seattle waterways. *10 minute drive to downtown Seattle. Buses also run regularly downtown from close by - either to downtown Seattle or to the University District and elsewhere. Evenings are very quiet here and the air quality is unusually good for a city. We get a fresh sea breeze off of Puget Sound in the early evening. Guests find the cottage a calming and refreshing refuge from the bustle of the city.
Ballard is a fantastic destination neighborhood for restaurants and bars and music. We are an easy walk (5-10 minutes) from downtown Ballard. Great breakfast places even closer.
  • Liz and Brad's Ballard cottage really hit the sweet spot for me - quiet and peaceful leading to a great night's sleep, a perfect 10K distance from both Discovery and Golden Gardens Parks, friendly hosts but loads of privacy, plus two great cats and a really lovely garden. Throw in back to back sunny days and wow what a great stay.

  • Brad & Liz were perfect hosts, and we couldn't have been happier with the "home away from home" we found in their Ballard cottage. We enjoyed our walks through the neighborhood to nearby cafes and shops, and it was easy to hop a bus downtown. The cottage is beautiful inside & out with all the artwork and surrounding gardens. We had lovely weather during our visit and ran into Brad & Liz in the garden often, and really enjoyed chatting with them. We highly recommend their Ballard cottage & hope we can stay with them again in the future.

  • Great spot if you want to hang in Ballard, and why wouldn't you? Comfortable bed, roomy space, smooth check-in, good price. Recommend.

    Briana2016-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • I couldn't have picked a better spot. This cozy cottage was just what I need for a relaxing weekend away. Great location, walkable.

  • \We had a second great visit to Brad and Liz' cottage in the Ballard district of Seattle. We're looking forward to a third stay. Perhaps for the owners' sake, we should keep this a secret, but Brad did our laundry. Definitely above and beyond. A charming cottage in walking distance to an historic, unique area of Seattle.

    Margo2015-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cottage in a sweet neighborhood close to busses and the wonderful downtown of Ballard. We did not meet Brad, but Liz was sweet and gave us everything we needed to enjoy our stay. <3

    Lizzy2016-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • Brad and Liz were very welcoming and accommodating. The studio was absolutely amazing (Liz is a very talented artist and her creations fill the room with great vibes) Very close to many restaurants and things to do in Ballard. If I'm ever visiting Seattle I hope they would host me again!

    Aaron2016-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Brad & Liz's place is perfect if you want to visit Seattle but stay outside the down town area. Ballard is a very cool area. There are plenty of shops, pubs, and eateries near the cottage. The place is exactly how it is pictured and the hosts were very accommodating. I recommend a stay here and look forward to visiting Seattle again next year.

  • Erik was nice enough to accommodate my two day stay on short notice. The space is well appointed, clean and met all of my needs. Parking in this part of Seattle is very difficult, so the dedicated space next to the gate is fantastic! The towel warmers are something I haven't had before--nice touch. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend Erik & Pamela's place if you are visiting Seattle or in town for work.

    Ryan2015-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely studio in a nice neighborhood. Erik was very quick to respond to any inquiries I had. It was also very helpful to have a washer and dryer!

    Kristy2018-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • A great place in a great neighbouhood. Lots of local restaurants and closish to the I5 for getting around. The place was clean and exactly as described.

    Owen2013-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • This garden cottage is the best choice for an unforgettable Seattle visit! We loved every minute in it - it is centrally located, beautifully styled and fully equipped for a perfect stay! Everything was impeccable and perfect - thanks again for such a great stay!

    Igor2013-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is a charming little cottage located in a hip neighborhood conveniently located near Seattle's attractions. The cottage itself is clean, well provisioned, comfortable and inviting. We especially loved the quiet little garden. The location is ideal. We flew into SeaTac and took the train into Seattle. The cottage is an easy walk from the Capital Hill station; even with rolling luggage. (Seattle has an excellent public transportation system that is convenient, safe and comfortable.) From the cottage we walked to attractions in downtown Seattle, Pike Place market, Pioneer Square, the Waterfront, the Space Needle and South Lake Union. And buses or Uber are easy to catch to/from Ballard, Fremont, etc. and back to the cottage. The Capital Hill neighborhood has it's own charms as well. Great donuts and coffee down the street at the Top Pot. There is a bodega conveniently close by. And great food and downtown views from The Lookout which is just around the corner. All of this is in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood with beautiful homes.

  • My Wife and I went to Seattle on kind of a spur of the moment trip. We where able to book Erik + Pamela's great cottage apartment. It was easy to find and very private. Within walking distance to most of Capital Hill, (go to the Cannon bar), and even into Down Town if you are up for a bit of a walk. Before we arrived they told us about the "Car2Go" program in Seattle. 500 Smart cars scattered throughout the city that you can just jump in and go and are only charged by the minute. Gas, Insurance and public parking are all included. You do need to sign up for a "Car2Go" card about a week before go so you can get your card in the mail before your trip. It made exploring all of Seattle very easy. We even went to pikes place and bought fresh seafood and drove back to the house to cook dinner in the well stocked kitchen. If you are still reading this review and deciding where to stay..... Stop thinking about it, just book this place and you won't be sorry, Scouts Honor!

    Chris2013-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • Extremely close to Pikes Market and downtown! Erik was really helpful and had quite a few books and brochures listing things to do it the area. The guest house had lots of character and was clean and tucked back into a nice residential area.

An oasis minutes from downtown, this loft guest house is it's own unique space with an open floor plan, tall ceilings with lots of natural light, gas stove, radiant floor heating, and a large patio with hot tub and tranquil gardens. Perfect for work or weekend retreat!
This loft guest house is a unique, tranquil space built by the owner himself. Situated on a large property in Beacon Hill, the space has tall ceilings, lot's of natural light and it's own private garden and hot tub.
Beacon Hill is one of the most diverse neighborhoods in Seattle, and just minutes from downtown, and right next to the vibrant neighborhoods of Georgetown and Columbia City.
  • Malcolm was excellent as a host, and the place was exactly as described. It's a very cool studio in the back of his property with plenty of space and privacy for a couple. When we arrived, Malcolm greeted us and we were happily on our own from there. We have no problem recommending this rental to others!

    William2015-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • This place is absolutely perfect! It is tasteful, and the setting is an absolute dream. I wish we could have spent more time there, to be honest, but our busy trip and early flight prevented that. However, I certainly would book The Loft again for a second stay. I ate a tomato out of the garden, and it may have been one of the best parts of the trip:) Thanks a million to Malcolm, and I'd recommend this place to anyone!

    Abbey2017-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Probably the coolest spot I've ever stayed in Seattle. What a perfect little hideout 10min from downtown. They built this awesome little thing and allowing us to enjoy it is so awesome. Definitely will come back here for the hot tub & won't forget the bathing suits!

    Talon2018-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful home Malcolm has. My first thought was, gee I should quit my job and just move in here!

    Christopher2016-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • The loft is a beautiful home. Malcolm is an excellent host, great communication. Very clean, home is better than description. Highly recommend

    Jeffrey2016-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Malcolm's place is gorgeous! Just down a stone stairway and you're in your own secluded sanctuary that's still close to all Seattle has to offer. He thoroughly communicated and was there to assist with any needs.

    Kristin2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • This place is absolutely incredible. Best place I've ever stayed on a vacation period.... It is so nice when the place you stay can become part of the vacation unlike a hotel room. The patio, hot tub, and couch are super cozy and relaxing. I am going to recommend everyone I know to stay here when they travel to Seattle. Malcolm made something really special with his own two hands from construction to interior design to landscaping. Only thing to let folks know is although the house and immediate area felt very safe and quiet, parts of Beacon Hill are sketchy. So I would suggest to do grocery shopping and eating out a little further up the highway.

    Daniel2018-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • My second stay here was just as great as my first! Looking forward to coming back next week! This place is so great. Comfortable and convenient, with a very friendly host.

Escape the bustle of the city and relax in a cozy backyard sanctuary. Sample local craft beer in an Adirondack chair in the garden, and switch on a heat lamp when it gets chilly. Watch a widescreen TV from the bed and make espresso in the morning.
This adorable cottage comes complete with queen bed, hardwood flooring, kitchenette with Farmhouse sink, kitchen island, fridge freezer, Kuerig coffee maker, toaster, slow cooker, and induction hot plate. With a 50 gallon water heater there will be enough hot water for all your needs. The high end bathroom is completed with a Kohler sink, toilet and hardware. There is also a closet to hang and store clothes and bags. The cottage is heated via high efficiency electric infra red heaters mounted on the ceiling. There is also a whole house ventilation system to keep the air fresh throughout the year (the switch to turn hi/low or on/off is inside the closet). Cable TV, wifi and a DVD player are also available. Amazon and Netflix are included on the smart TV for your use with your own passwords. Free parking is available on the street in front of the Cottage/Main house.
The Seattle neighborhood of Ballard has many restaurants, bars, coffee shops, a cinema, bakeries, and quirky stores. The Sunday market is a must. Golden Gardens Beach, the Ballard Locks, and the Nordic Heritage Museum are all close by.
  • This place is incredible. Very cute and immaculately clean. Bev and Grant were exceptionally accommodating and responded quickly to every communication. Ballard is a great neighborhood and this cottage was a great deal. Would definitely stay again.

    Steven2016-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time staying at this beautiful cottage! Great restaurants and breweries within walking distance.

    Bryan2017-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • Wow. On our scale of Airbnb rentals, this falls into the "too nice, never want to leave, would rather cozy up with a beer and watch seasons 6 and 7 of Frasier" category. Bev & Grant's cottage is tucked away on a quiet street but in walking distance of shops, bars and restaurants, the Ballard Locks and a bus that takes you to and from downtown (a bit of a long ride but the stop is right around the corner). The space was just the right size for my partner and I and it had all the amenities we needed for our stay. Was also superbly clean and we felt right at home. Five stars out of five.

    Stuart2017-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very nice private and separate ADU in Ballard. Parking is easy, it is centrally located and it has all the amenities you need for a short stay. Even if you need to stay for a longer time, it is well equiped with a microwave, hot-plate and toaster oven, although you can easily find reasonably priced restaurants, bars and cafes within walking distance. It is immaculate, homey and comfortable. I will book this again when in Seattle. For once, the cleaning fee is mimimal!

    Martha2017-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Bev and Grant respoonded quickly and were very helpful throuh email. Gave us privacy and yet we felt like we were at home! Beautiful place, amazing seating area and very close to transit that only takes 15-20mins to go to downtown Seattle! Will definitely book again when we can! By far the best and a little piece of heaven in Ballard and in Seattle!

    Peter2017-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • This was seriously the best experience with Air B&B I’ve ever had. Bev and Grant were so kind and helpful with everything we needed. The cottage is adorable, cozy and clean. I love the bathroom tiles and want them for my own bathroom. The cottage was stocked with anything you’d need. They provided a hair dryer, straightener and curling iron. It’s walking distance to coffee, bars, breweries, the locks, grocery stores, and pretty much anywhere you may need to go to. We were in town for our wedding and the fact that Bev and Grant made our stay so easy was the biggest stress relief! Thank you!!!!

    Kelly2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our long weekend at the Ballard Backyard Cottage! The space is gorgeous and perfectly set up and Bev and Grant made us feel completely welcome and at home. We arrived on the late side and the easy to follow instructions made arriving a breeze. Once at the cottage we found a lovely welcome card and cold bottle of local craft beer to greet us! The cottage is very cute, with lots of natural light and in a lovely quiet spot tucked away at the back of the garden. We even had enough sun one day (in November!) to sit and relax with coffee outside for the morning. The neighborhood was great to wander around and the cottage is only a few blocks from plenty of good coffee shops, bakeries and restaurants.

    Louise2016-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • This Air Bnb was the perfect place for me to stay on my solo trip! The town of Ballard was so beautiful, lots to do around there and walkable! It was also very close to downtown Seattle which was great because I used uber while I was visiting. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a homey vibe while on vacation! ❤️

Tipsy is a 180 square foot (including the loft) tiny house located in the heart of West Seattle, minutes away from restaurants, bars, coffee shops, boutiques, grocery stores, Sunday Farmer’s Market, etc. The tiny house is also located to the famous Alki Beach and Lincoln Park. Downtown Seattle is a quick drive/bus/water taxi away (we highly recommend the water taxi). A note to all future guests: Please ensure you understand our strict cancellation policy before booking as we follow it closely.
Tipsy the Tiny House offers a unique experience while you explore the city of Seattle. It was built by your hosts, Chad and Lindsay, who obsessed over every detail. Chad is a licensed architect and general contractor in Seattle. Some highlights of the tiny house: -Cladded in reclaimed wood, giving it a rustic/modern aesthetic. -Metal roof (great for listening to the rain!) -Electric fireplace with modern display and lots of heat! -Queen bed with 4 pillows and extra blankets in the closet -Surround sound stereo -Smart TV (Netflix, Hulu, and a variety of DVDs) -Two large skylights -Bathroom includes a fully-enclosed shower (we provide shampoo, conditioner, and body wash), a fully plumbed toilet (not compost), a sink. -The kitchen includes a compact fridge, induction stove (we provide induction pots and pans), Keurig coffee maker and K-cup coffees, kettle, plates, cups, mugs, wine glasses, eating and cooking utensils, etc. -Luggage storage above the front door as well as closet space and dresser drawer space. -Very private outdoor space includes personal parking spot, picnic table with umbrella, and two chairs at the entrance. A couple other things to note: -Three people is the max allowed in the tiny house. The bed in the loft is accessed by a ladder, and the sofa is 2’ x 6’ -The tiny house is located behind our home and accessed from a quintessential Pacific Northwest alleyway. The neighborhood is very safe and quiet.
The West Seattle neighborhood is a favorite of Seattlites--known for its friendly people, stellar views, excellent restaurants and bars, and most famously, Alki Beach.
  • This is my top favorite Airbnb spot. Very comfortable. Quiet neighborhood but not far from the city. Central to conveniences. Very restful and unique experience. Highly recommend.

    Jonna2018-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • We really loved the Tiny House and will keep it in our memories for a long time. The check-in was really easy due to a build-in smart lock. The house was even prettier than expected with a lot of love for the detail. Everything was perfectly clean and the kitchen was well equipped as well. All in all a very beautiful place to stay when visiting Seattle. We would stay at Tipsytiny again if we could.

    Soren2017-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • This was the first time staying in a tiny house and it was everything and more. Tipsy wasn't as tiny as one would think. The cool summer nights were great for relaxing outside and enjoying the stars. The indoor surround sound system added a nice touch. This is a must stay if you're coming to Seattle!

    Sjmoya2017-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • It's a nice place for someone visiting Seattle alone. A little bit small for two people to stay, but it will be an awesome experience. You can always find new secrets design in everywhere. It's a warm and cozy home for visitors. Highly recommend it!

    Frankie2017-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • Tiny house living at its best! We had a wonderful stay in this super tiny house that is manicured down to every super tiny detail. Great work TipsyTiny!

    Mark2016-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Cute Tiny house in West Seattle. We used Uber and Lyft to get around as this is a fairly residential area. The owners did a good job of communicating through the airbnb messaging. We did not have to meet with them, as the smart lock on the door let us in and out with an app or using a keypad PIN. If your looking to stay in a tiny house, this is a really nice one. The loft bed is very comfortable, however the ceiling is pretty close for the person not under the skylight. If you want to sleep in late, bring an eye mask - no shade on the skylight. If you search tipsy the tiny house on YouTube you'll see lots of videos of it and can judge if it's right for you.

    Rob2017-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful home! I was super excited to stay here and would totally come back!!

    Alma2017-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • The Tipsy Tiny house is reaaaaally tiny, which make it very special. We loved the place, we loved Seattle. Thanks for having us.

Conveniently located near the Island's village & Seattle ferry, this 200sq ft architecturally-designed, eco-friendly backyard guesthouse is the perfect getaway. Ride into town on the bikes, enjoy the hot tub, garden patio and fire-pit. ***Ask us about adding a sailing excursion to your stay!
This is a 200 sq ft guesthouse sharing the property with our main house. *As you can see in the images it is located next to the main house in the backyard. It has it's own bathroom and shower, and mini kitchen - a coffee maker with complementary coffee and tea selection. You'll find a delightful patio garden with a fire-pit and gas grill and hot tub on the grounds. It has it's own bathroom and shower. Like the unit the hot water heater is small so short showers (6 mins) are recommended (unless you like them cold). If you like long showers this is probably not the place for you. If the water begins to lose heat, it only takes about 30min to recharge. A mini-fridge, microwave, electric tea kettle and coffee maker complete the mini kitchen. The studio is flooded with natural light and a full suite of blinds on lower windows provides complete privacy. We also have a single camping cot and pack-n-play available upon request for additional guests beyond 2. Linens provided. Just keep in mind that the space gets pretty tight when it is in there.
Our Island guesthouse is a 15 minute walk from the Seattle ferry, a 25 minute walk to the quaint village of Bainbridge Island (sometimes referred to as Winslow) and only a 5 minute walk, through the back of our neighborhood, to our up-town shopping area: Ace Hardware, McDonalds, Walgreens, Safeway, Family Restaurants & of course a Starbucks. In a car or on a bike, it's all moments away. The neighborhood is full of kind, working families and it's quiet. The place has a unique blend of being close in, while feeling a bit further out.
  • Great place to stay! Highly recommend. Hot tub was a nice touch. Only potential issue for future travelers is the short (~3 min) hot water time in the shower. Otherwise, it's a great location and a great stay.

    Michael2017-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay here. Very convenient location. The house was quiet, and comfortable. Really loved all of the windows, and the comfortable bed. Thank you!

    Jessica2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cool spot! It's real close to the downtown area (less than 5 min drive), but it's also in a real quiet neighborhood. The guesthouse was real cozy in a good way. Perfect spot for a brief getaway!

    Mick2017-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • It was a wonderful place to stay for the weekend!

    Stephanie2016-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Relaxing simplicity! We had a wonderful stay in this sweet little backyard cottage. We walked into town for dinner (a 20 minute stroll) and came home to this sweet little spot for the night. Loved taking a soak in the tub and watching the chickens in the backyard. Highly recommended!

    Susan2017-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely design with light and airy feel. Hosts were welcoming yet offered privacy which I think it important with so many windows. Comfy bed and good coffee for morning wake up. Was surprised how long 6 minutes is - for showering - which was plenty for me. A very pleasant stay.

    Raylene2016-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Thoughtful quick communication from Ben & Deb. Many thoughtful amenities including chocolate, contact solution & 2 in 1 shampoo for a quick shower after the hot-tub. The schwinn bicycles were also really fun (& cute!) for practical for a quick cruise downtown. Loved it!

Our Little House is easy walking distance from some of Seattle's best coffee, restaurants, markets and retail stores. The house, formerly a garage, was completely renovated in 2013. It sits behind our main house and includes shared access to a courtyard, outdoor seating and a BBQ grill.
The house is 363 square feet and contains a sleeping loft accessed by a ship style ladder. Guests access the house through a separate gate at the end of our driveway, which opens into the courtyard. The house is quiet and comfortable complete with a kitchen, small fridge, living area and bathroom. The queen sized bed is new as of September 2016. When Benjamin was 9, he vacationed with his family in a loft style cabin. His love of lofts started and grew from there. Originally built as a guest house for family and friends and used as an occasional home office, we decided to open it up to travelers who want to visit Seattle and in particular our community of Ballard.
Ballard is a popular Seattle neighborhood with a rich Scandinavian heritage and history as a "sleepy fishing village." Ballard isn't sleepy anymore. Our neighborhood is hopping with retail, nightlife and great restaurants. Independent shops including two record and CD stores, an independent bookstore and many non-chain restaurants and retail stores. We have easy access to the Metro bus just one block away from our place. A short 15 minute ride by car or bus puts you downtown near the WA state ferries, Pike's market, the Space Needle and Seattle Center. Golden Gardens (one of our favs) is two miles away and has a beach including views of the Olympic mountains and the Puget Sound. Our Airbnb guidebook has recommendations for many of our top places. If you are looking for something not covered in the guidebook, let us know and we will do our best to point you in the right direction.
  • As a person fairly well traveled, I am proud and pleased to say that my BEST Airbnb experience, worldwide, has been Benjamin’s place in Ballard, USA. As hosts, Benjamin and Allison could do no better. Kind, thoughtful, appropriately scarce yet helpfully attentive, they ensured that we lacked nothing. The stylish and compact accommodation has EVERYTHING one needs, from sheer STYLE to more practical aspects, such as airflow, window screens, ample electrical outlets for charging travel devices, moving onto simply genteel touches, such as coffee/tea/creamer, snacks. The bed, pillows and towels are of the finest quality, and the lighting, patio and garden complete the magic We wanted to stay forever. Lastly, Ballard is a lovely town, a short jaunt from Seattle, but a lovely reminder that the Best of what feels like small town America still exists. Great shops, beautiful parks, and happy families are to be found on its broad sidewalks. Don’t hesitate to book this accommodation of you are lucky enough to find it available.

  • If you can handle a little bit of quirkiness, this is the best AirBnB in Ballard. Ithas everything you could possibly need in a very quiet setting but just blocks from amazing food and shops. Inside is impeccably clean and comfortable. The hosts are super cool and keep up great communication. WiFi is top notch. Can’t say enough about this place. Get it if you can - it books up pretty fast.

  • We enjoyed our stay at the little house. Property was in a great location for exploring Seattle. The local area of Ballard had many restaurants and bars after a day of exploring. Also a 24 hour super market within walking distance. Benjamin was very helpful and went the extra mile with plenty of soap, snacks, water coffee etc. The little house was very clean and modern, with a lot of unique design features. Thank you again for making our stay in Seattle a wonderful experience.

  • The space is cozy and wonderful. Benjamin is an outstanding host.

  • Ben's little house in Ballard was absolutely perfect. He was a fantastic host- gave us privacy and respect, but also some great tips. The house itself is exactly as pictured. So adorable and really just what we needed. It had everything! My husband and I spent two nights there and cannot say enough about the location. Tons of places are walkable. Had a great dinner at marine hardware and strolled along golden garden park. You won't regret staying here!

    Allison2017-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Benjamin's place was just perfect for me. The quaint house had everything needed for a pleasant stay. The location was perfect for all you would want to see in Seattle. I recommend you choose to stay here if in Seattle!

    Michelle2017-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had quite a good time staying in this little gem. It was a perfect place to walk to a lot of good restaurants and night life. Ballard is such a fun community and not far from the heart of Seattle.

    Heather2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at the tiny house was perfect! It is exactly as pictured and super close to lots of cool shops and restaurants. Benjamin was great with communication and was very accommodating, letting us drop our bags off before check in so we didn't have to lug them around Seattle. I would highly recommend!

New cottage, cabin-like, in the heart of Seattle. Close to bus line, cruise ships, shops, restaurants, waterfront, parks, bike paths, stadiums, Space Needle. Our cottage offers a kitchen, w/d and queen bed among other amenities. Built green.
Spacious studio with 12 foot ceiling, barn door hardware, functional kitchen with granite countertops and recycled old growth pine used on interior walls of room.
Magnolia is an ideal location - close to downtown Seattle (1.4 miles), the Space Needle (2 miles), the Waterfront (1.6 miles) and 1/2 mile to the Cruise Ships. Magnolia Village offers a variety of cafes, shops and restaurants. We are also located by the bike path along the Waterfront and Pike Place Market.
  • This place was awesome! From anyone spending a quick night to catch a cruise or a week in seattle. Mongolia village is in walking distance where you can find shops a great breakfast place as well as a drug store for the travel essentials you forgot. And if you’re leaving for the cruise (like we did) the next day you can walk to the pier or catch an Uber. Overall awesome experience and highly recommend.

    Elly2017-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very comfortable location. We were very happy with the location and the ease of getting to the downtown area. Seattle streets are kind of strict crazy but with GPS we had no problems.

    Jann2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Even if it is in the outskirt of the city center, Magnolia is a beautiful place to stay, very quiet and very beautiful. The room had a separate entry and included everything. The kitchen was fully equipped and more. The bed was good. There was a TV with Netflix. To reach the center if you do not have a car, you need to take a bus which departs every 30 min. Regarding restaurants you can find many in Magnolia center, which requires a good 20 min walk

    Yoram2018-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for one night to enjoy Seattle and attend a Seahawks game. The cottage is cozy, well-equipped and very clean! We also felt like we had privacy, but if we needed anything we knew Kathy and Dan were just a phone call away. Just outside the hustle and bustle of downtown but still close to quaint restaurants and coffee shops. We definitely recommend staying here and we hope to return someday soon!

    Robin2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect place to stay. Close to everything there is to do in Seattle. Dan and Kathy were so accommodating to our changing arrival schedule. I would highly recommend this place.

A private mini home just for you! Enjoy your own private deck and hot tub while staying in trendy Ballard. Way better than a hotel...you’ll feel right at home!
Enjoy your own private mini-home while exploring Seattle. Conveniently located just blocks from downtown Ballard and an easy 15 minute bus ride from downtown, this quaint yet roomy space is perfect for out of town guests and vacationers. The 250 square foot space enjoys its own deck space and a brand new hot tub. French doors open to a private outdoor sitting area just for you. It has a mini kitchen with a 2-burner stove with a mini fridge, microwave, sink and kitchen essentials. This includes cooking supplies like pans, plates, oil, salt and pepper etc. We also have a Keirig Coffee Maker with a generous supply of K-Cups, light snacks and other thoughtful touches. The bath includes a shower with on-demand water and a supply of toiletries and towels for your use. There is a storage closet in the bath for clothes and extra linens. If you are staying longer than three days, I will provide fresh towels and linens for you upon request. The bedroom loft is cozy and features a double size bed. The ladder up to the loft is custom-made to retract from the wall for easy access. When it is not in use, it slides flush to the wall to allow for more room in the living space. The space is "cozy" so if you are tall or have issues with smaller spaces the loft sleeping area may not be the right fit. You must be able to climb a short ladder to get up and down so please be mindful of this when booking. There is a couch which allows for an extra person to sleep in the unit if you wish. There is a blow up Twin bed in the ottoman in sitting area. I also have a portable crib that you are welcome to use. Just let me know. I'm pretty strict about maxing out at 3 guests. Children under 8 are not allowed in the loft area for safety-sake. This rental Includes cable tv with HBO and other fun channels as well as access to wireless Internet. The overall look and feel of the space is what I call, "Modern Nautical". Ballard is an old fishing town that has become the culinary hot spot of Seattle. The colors and lighting fixtures give homage to Ballard's history. There is plenty of free off-street parking and access to one of the best neighborhoods in Seattle is just a short walk away! There are quite a few quick service/family run (no chains) restaurants within a block from the house along with a great fruit stand and espresso shop. Grocery and drug stores are within 5-7 blocks away. The bus stop to a main arterial is a 1/2 block away. A great bakery is only 2 blocks away. This is a great location for those of you vacationing without a rental car. Pretty much anything you need is less than a 10-15 minute walk away. Even if you have a rental car, you can leave it parked and just explore all the fun stuff in Ballard! We look forward to meeting you! -Errin & Olivia
Ballard is a great neighborhood with tons of bars and little restaurants. Just ask me and I'm happy to share some of my faves.
  • Errin is a gracious and welcoming host. The mini home was exactly as advertised! Communication was timely, and we'd stay again in the future! A great place to stay in a great neighborhood while exploring Seattle, highly recommended!

  • The mini-home was perfect for us during our stay in Seattle. Errin was a great host, meeting us as we arrived and offered any assistance with navigating around or recommendations of places to eat. The mini-home was very clean and cozy and was stocked with everything we could need. The neighborhood was great with lots of places to eat and shop within walking distance. Would recommend for anyone staying in Seattle!

  • Errin's mini-home is all you could want for a stay in Ballard. The mini-home was super clean, quiet and comfortable. It is well located, with lots of restaurants within a short walk. My partner and I loved the Ballard area for eating out and loved that downtown was only a bus ride away with the closest stop a few minutes from the mini-home. Although we didn't get to meet Errin, she was very fast in replying to our messages and ensured we were comfortable by offering extra linen and dropping off extra toilet paper without us needing to ask. Errin left the air conditioner on for us when we first arrived, which was really nice on a hot day and after a long journey. Errin also let us keep some luggage on her deck after checkout when we had car problems, which we really appreciated. Would highly recommend this place, it's a gem. Thanks, Errin!

    Callum2016-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Errin's mini-home is absolutely perfect. My boyfriend and I wanted a nice, quiet home base while we explored the Ballard area, and this little bungalow was just perfect. There were plenty of great amenities, and the location can't be beat. Great place!

  • My family had a great time in here. Rooms, beds and bathrooms are very clean. Quite and cozy conditions led us to take a rest in very comfortable time. Loren is very kind and provides exact informations so we can get here easily. I'd want to stay longer in the playing room with entertainment system and wonderful recliners.

  • Fern was very welcoming and the space was very comfortable. It was clean and cozy and the bedrooms were each equipped with bathrooms and closet storage and a desk, everything we could possibly need. My Mother woke up earlier than I did and had the news on and I could hear nothing from the living room in my room. The space is a basement space so there is a bit of a bunker like feel but it is beyond cozy and we were very pleased. Fern was available to help us figure out the remotes(classic confusion:) but we were generally very independent and we had a very comfortable level of privacy. Thanks Fern, we loved our stay at your home!

    Erin2016-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • 5 stars all around! These beds are literally the most comfortable Ive slept on. Everything was so soft! The rooms were beautifully decorated, everything we needed was there. We wanted to stay longer

    Elisabeth2016-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Our party of 4 only stayed for one night at Fern’s place and we all loved it. Much better than staying at a hotel! If we are ever in Seattle again, we will make this our stay. Thank you!

    Thuy2018-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing, simply amazing place and hosts!! Right when we arrived there was a whole driveway just for us to park, house is gorgeous! Private entrance through garage into the basement which I call the "ultimate getaway cave." Don't be fooled when I say basement, because it was more like the best guest house so to speak. The moment we walked in, clean as a whistle with beautiful decor along with comfortable furniture and chairs for relaxing while watching Netflix or lounging. I can't say enough about this place, they literally have everything! Mini fridge with refreshments, drawers with movies and movies and movies. Fern and Loren are the best, when the power went out I let them know and Lorenz quickly came to the rescue and got it back on. They were literally a knock away if we needed anything. As we were done with our stay and about to head out, I was calling their phone so I that I may say goodbye but they actually came outside in person to see us off. Such a nice couple with a beautiful home. Worth every penny and will be definitely rent again when I visit Seattle next time. Thanks Loren and Fern!

Large private room with private bath separate from the upstairs living space. Private parking, laundry, mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, TV, Netflix, & DVD. Near park, close to Airport, city bus route : ).
Spacious apartment style room with couches, bed, table, chairs, and dresser. This space includes basic accommodations (toilet/shower, internet, and TV). This space also includes extras (a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker).
Our home is located on the outskirts of the Seattle city limits (near airport). You can catch the direct bus downtown about a block from our location : ). This is ideal for those interested in sightseeing downtown or visiting awhile.
  • Andrew and his family's home was the perfect place for my boyfriend and I's first visit to Seattle. Not only did we save a lot of money with the value, but the location was great for everything we wanted to do. Although we never actually met, the privacy was just what we needed and there was more than enough space! It was clean and it was great that they provided some things like towels, a blow dryer, shampoo/conditioner, the mini fridge, microwave, extra chargers, a heater, etc. There were only a couple things I could have wished for like a bowl/plate for reheating our leftovers since we didn't have access to a kitchen, but other than that - it was perfect. Check in and check out was super convenient because it was basically on our own schedule. Communication was easy too. If we ever come back to Seattle (which we hope), we'll definitely consider coming back to Andrew's for another stay.

    Crystal2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Nice big clean room with everything you need for a shorter stay. Andrew and his wife are always helpful and heartly. Only the ferrets in the room nearby produced sometimes a strong odour but we would stay there definitely another time.

    Lena Marie2017-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew's place is located in a scenic and quiet neighborhood. The room was perfectly prepared along with a bathroom right next to it.

  • Anya and Andrews place was exactly what we needed. The place was perfect; neat and clean, and conveniently located near the airport and Seattle. Though there was not much interaction with our hosts, they seemed very nice, polite, and genuinely caring for the guest's experience.

    Lorena2016-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this place! The privacy and cleanliness of the basement area was very nice. Also very easy to get along with, and talk to Andrew and Anya. My wife and I felt comfortable staying here, and recommend to anyone visiting the Seattle area.

    Ben2017-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew and Anya were wonderful, welcoming host. Their space is very inviting and as advertised. They responded right away to all my emails with very clear, direct, and easy to understand directions. The neighborhood was wonderful with a coffee house and cafe right around the corner. I would definitely go back for another stay!

We at Emerald Stays welcome you to our modern and stylish vacation rental condo, in a brand new building located in the hip Belltown neighborhood of Seattle. The absolute best thing about this apartment is the location, located in Belltown, the residential neighborhood of Downtown. You will be steps away from the famous Pike Place Market, Puget Sound Waterfront, Seattle Aquarium & everything Downtown. The Space Needle & the rest of the Seattle Center are also within walking distance. You will also find some of Seattle's best restaurants, cafes, bakeries, bars & lounges, just outside the building. With a Walkscore of 98 and transit score of 100, the building is a "Walker's Paradise". So you can skip renting a car. The Convention Center is just 15 mins walk away. You can also catch buses to all of Seattle from across the block and Zipcars are 3 blocks away. This condo’s location makes it ideal for both business and holiday travelers. Since the building just opened up in June 2013, everything is new, modern and stylish. As soon as you enter the building’s spacious, beautiful lobby, you will notice the well-equipped 24-hour gym to your left. At the first chance you get, take the elevator up to the rooftop deck and you will be treated to awesome views of downtown and the waterfront. The rooftop deck also has a comfortable lounging area and is fitted with BBQ grills. The apartment itself is a modern open one-bedroom with hardwood floors and excellent furnishings. The huge windows provide ample light and a spacious feel to the condo. We have furnished this place such that you will feel absolutely at home. Between the plush queen bed and futon (which unfolds to a full size bed), this apartment will comfortably accommodate 3 guests. Apart from the towels and linens already laid out, there are many more to spare in the closets. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances & is fully equipped with everything you need to cook, serve and enjoy a wonderful meal (How about taking the food upstairs and making a picnic out of it). We think Internet is a basic utility and provide dedicated high-speed Wifi. There is a 43-inch HDTV with complimentary Netflix. Please note, we do not provide Cable on the TV. The Roku box does provide you access to news and on-demand programming. There is also TV with cable in the common lounging space. Come live like Locals in one of the most premium buildings of Seattle! It is a No Smoking Building, so we will expect you to respect that. Parking : Parking in the building can be arranged ( based on availability) at $20 per day. Although if you are staying in the center of the city you don't need a car at all.

  • We had a great stay at Sid and Neha's place – it was right in the middle of everything and they were even courteous enough to let us check in early when our plans changed. We walked everywhere and didn't miss having a car a bit. The toiletries and in-unit washer/dryer were a nice touch for a longer stay in Seattle. Would absolutely stay here again or at another of Sid and Neha's properties!

100% self-contained studio loft attached to main house overlooking small city park. Nothing is shared. 160 sq. foot 1st floor with kitchen (gas stove/full fridge) plus 140 sq ft loft bedroom climbed via ladder, plus full bath with washer/dryer. Fully furnished (linens/pans, etc). "Flexible" check-in means unit is ready by 1pm, or earlier if prior guests left early (you can drop off bags early). Late arrivals are fine. Check-out time is 12pm, or later if the next guests are arriving later.
While our house is 110 years old, this cottage is only 25, and was built by a contractor given the task of "creating the feel of a Vermont cabin." It is your own space, with private entry, and is separate from our other unit on Airbnb ("Private entrance and central"). Queen bed in loft. Through your windows you will see lots of trees, hummingbirds, woodpeckers, and endless squirrels. Inside you will find art from our many travels, including India, Brazil, Mexico, Morocco, etc. We supply pots/pans/towels. Just bring your clothes. Two caveats: First, if you don't feel comfortable climbing a ladder to your bed, or climbing down a ladder in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, this is not the spot for you. Second, while the first floor ceiling height is 7 feet, the upstairs loft ceiling is shaped like an "A-frame" roof, with the center being around 6 feet, sloping lower as you crawl into bed. Our first tenant of 7 years was a 6-foot female, who was quite content. Both her and our later tenant had regular-visiting boyfriends who seemed just fine without banging their heads. But, if you don't want to duck as you get into bed, this is not the spot for you. Two guests only - sorry, no extra guests.
"Madrona" is one of the most central/desired neighborhoods in Seattle. You can walk 45 minutes to downtown, or in the other direction to Lake Washington or in another direction to the vibrant Capitol Hill. Or take a 20-30 minute bus ride to each, or drive there in 10 minutes. Within a 10 minute walk you have access to a supermarket, roughly 15 restaurants, 2 coffee shops, and a bakery around the corner from our house.

  • I loved staying at this place! I would recommend it to anyone! It was a great location. Phil was so kind and helpful and was very respectful of my space. The space its self was cozy and perfect for what I needed. Everything was clean and there were notes everywhere in case you weren't sure where a light switch was etc. There was a washer and dryer in the unit and the bed was comfortable. I would definitely stay here again when I come back. Thank you so much Phil!

    Liana2016-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Phil and Andrea’s place was amazing and they are the best hosts I have ever had in my time with Airbnb. Aside from the spot being clean and having all the necessities, Phil and Andrea’s surprised us was delicious homemade dessert. The location is fairly close to either take local transportation (super easy ) or take an Uber. If you’re looking for trouble free travels and a very cozy location, I would recommend this spot.

    Maggi2015-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Phil and Andrea were incredibly welcoming and provided a very comfortable environment to stay in Seattle. I would highly recommend staying with them. I stayed for almost 3 months with them and had an amazing experience. Their house is located in a neighborhood about 15-20 minutes by bus ride from downtown Seattle. Very easy commute by multiple buses a block or two from their house to downtown (also an easy walk- about 2 miles). It is a quiet neighborhood but easily accessible to all parts of the city. Could walk up to the Madrona neighborhood in 5 minutes to great restaurants, cafes, and shops, down to the beach in 15 minutes, to Capitol hill in 10 minutes, etc. The "cottage" was well equipped with everything one would need, was clean, very comfortable, and had plenty of room. They had a gorgeous luscious green backyard with a grill and plenty of outdoor seating that I used when I had people over for dinner. They were always making sure I had everything I needed and was comfortable. Very, very nice people.

Enjoy the serenity of our stunning apartment in the heart of Seattle, with fantastic views of the lake, Gasworks Park, and the Olympic Mountains. Vaulted ceilings, wood paneling, and mid-century decor make our space comfortable, warm, and peaceful.
Come and enjoy this beautiful and peaceful home-away-from-home with amazing views in the heart of Seattle! Our light and airy "Sky Cabin" is in the Eastlake neighborhood, one block from Lake Union (where the film Sleepless in Seattle was made). It is a completely separate unit on the top floor of our lovingly cared for three story house and has cork floors and wood paneling that make it feel like a cabin in the sky. The wall of windows faces West with views onto Lake Union, the Olympic Mountains, and even a small view of the Space Needle. You'll have a master bedroom, a bathroom with three shower heads and a heated tile floor, an open living space/kitchen with 13 ft. tall cathedral ceilings, and another small room for doing yoga, playing music, working (there is a desk and a printer), or just meditating while looking out to the lake. The deck is perfect for watching the kayaks, sailboats, paddle boards, sea planes, tug boats, and floating homes that make Eastlake such a unique and special neighborhood. The Sky Cabin is decorated in a mid century style with comfortable furniture and feels cozy and cheerful. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need for cooking, and there are two televisions and one dvd player. Wi-Fi is included. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes within walking distance as well as easy bus access to either downtown or the university. Parking is free street parking half a block to a block away, and I provide a parking permit you can borrow that is good for our whole neighborhood. We are 5-10 minutes by car to both downtown and the university and 10-20 minutes by bus, depending on traffic. In the Sky Cabin I have Seattle and Washington state guide books and maps for people to use while they are here, as well as various board games and DVDs for those nights you just want to stay in. No pets, no drugs, must be at least 21 years of age, no smoking inside or out, and no extra guests. If you would like to stay in a one-of-a-kind, beautiful and quiet home, then the Sky Cabin is for you!
Eastlake is a quiet, hidden neighborhood between the university and downtown. The home is on Lake Union, home to seaplanes, kayaks, paddleboards, and floating homes. There is a great selection of local restaurants all within walking distance.
  • Gillian's place absolutely exceeded my expectations. It's roomy and homey and filled with natural light and character. The views are gorgeous and the furniture is comfy. It's just relaxing to be there. I felt right at home from check in to check out. Beyond the place itself being amazing, it's obvious that tons of care and attention have been put into making your stay enjoyable. From the earplugs on the nightstands (which I didn't need) to the coffee beans on the counter (which my mornings are generally too rushed to use), there are many touches that make you feel cared for. Immeasurably better than any hotel I've ever booked. I arrived late on my check in day, so Gillian arranged a secure and easy way to allow me access to the key. She was very responsive and attentive. I would pounce on the opportunity to stay here again. I almost don't want to leave such a glowing review, because it only increases the odds of the place being booked next time I'm looking — but it's absolutely deserved.

  • Loved this place! We stayed for a couple of nights in the Sky Cabin and everything was perfect. We never got to meet Gillian (she was in Hawaii), but she was easy to reach and made sure everything was all set. The apartment itself is awesome, I'd love to live there! It has nice view of Gas Works Park (you can walk there in about 40 minutes). The bed is super comfy and the shower is better than any hotel. Gillian has maps and magazines of Seattle and it's easy to get downtown either by bus or car. Definitely would recommend it to anyone and if I ever need a place to stay in Seattle again, the Sky Cabin is where I'll be!

  • I reserved the Sky Cabin for my parents who were visiting from out o town. The unit was wonderful, spacious and had an incredible view. The host had reading materials and brochures/travel books for my parents to review and find activities to do while I was at work. We ended up spending more time just chatting at the Sky Cabin than exploring the city because of the view and the atmosphere. They will definitely stay here again and recommend it to their friends.

  • I am always pleased to find Gillian's Sky Cabin available for my frequent trips to Seattle. It is a comfy home away from home and Gillian is a wonderful host. Great neighborhood and a much better value than a hotel. Treat yourself to the Sky Cabin!

  • Sky Cabin is a fun and comfortable place to stay. Everything is easy and welcoming. I highly recommend it!

  • Gillian was extremely good at communicating and we had a wonderful time at the Sky Cabin. It was peaceful, comfortable and had an incredible view of the lake. One of our favorite things to do was sit in the cozy chairs by the window and watch the sea planes land and take off. I highly recommend staying at this wonderful listing.

    Caleb2015-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Gillian's sky cabin was unbelievably beautiful. We were FLOORED when we first walked in. We couldn't believe a place like this existed! Barbara was also very sweet and helpful getting us inside. We would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arose and would encourage any and everyone to experience this little gem! The view is UNMATCHED!

    Erin2015-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Was pleased to find the Sky Cabin available again for my Seattle visit. It is clean, comfortable, has a fantastic view and is a great home away from home. Gillian has made all arrangements very easy and provides a plethora of information on places to go and ways to get there. The Sky Cabin has my highest recommendation!

  • awesome studio for a decent value really close to downtown! tiny downfall is it is the unit right beside rooftop patio, which is not the greatest at night. Would stay here again forsure!

  • Nice place, nice view, clean, modern. I had a wonderful time there! Thank you!

  • Ella’s place was enjoyable and very well kept together. Although, the neighborhood wasn’t the safest. Our check in was also pushed back by 2 hours and since we came in early we had to wait around. But overall, it was a good stay.

  • Nice and clean

    Thomas2018-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place to stay, walking distance to a lot of stuff. Clean, and easy to access, check in instructions were descriptive. It was super cute and COMFY!

    Alexandra2018-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Ella's space was amazingly clean and stylish and we found the location to be perfect for our one night stay in Seattle. The bed was very comfortable, and the stairs were not that big of a deal. The view is amazing from the room and the deck. There was a fan in the room that provided for a great night's sleep. We were able to walk to public transportation to/from the airport from here as well as coffee shops and restaurants in Capitol Hill. I would stay here again :)

    Sarah2018-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect for 2 people. About $7 for an Uber ride to anywhere from the location. Loved being able to go on the porch and relax. The room was really warm most of the time with there being no AC. We had to leave the windows open the whole weekend so it was fairly noisy with people out on the porch all night and police sirens. The bed was very cozy and smelled great! Room looks like and ikea display. Thank you Ella!

  • My wife and I had a great time visiting Seattle and staying at Lucy and George's studio apartment. Lucy was very prompt with answering questions by e-mail and gave us all the info we needed for checking in and reserved us parking for our car. George met us at the apartment to give us the keys and a brief tour of the place and make it a very quick and easy process. The apartment was very clean and in a great location, within easy walking distance to many of the main attractions like the Space Needle, Pike Place Market, the waterfront, etc. The view from the rooftop deck was amazing! We would definitely recommend staying here! Thanks Lucy and George!

    Patrick2014-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • Good place to stay. Interesting choice for the brown theme (towels, blankets, etc) for Seattle's coffee ;) Could use a better stocked pantry for those who like to cook in. The slippers were a nice touch.

    Ivan & Josephine2017-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had a WONDERFUL 4 night stay at Lucy’s place. She was so kind when she checked us in and gave us great suggestions when we asked her recommendation on a local sushi restaurant.

    Andrew2014-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly what I was looking for and Lucy was very flexible in terms of check in.

    Michael2017-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lucy’s place was great, very clean and very well equipped with just about everything you need. Lucy was very accommodating and quick in responding. Would recommend as a base if you’re looking for somewhere to rest while you explore the city.

    Sarahi2018-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lucy’s place was perfect for us. We had the best food (Biscuit Bitch, Wasaki, Tilikum) all within an enjoyable walking distance. Lucy for sure is a superhost!!!

  • Lucy’s apartment was just as described and seen in the pictures, the amenities and odds and ends provided were very helpful especially when arriving late at night. Lucy always communicated quickly and all of the right information as well as providing additional al information on surrounding area activities! The Cozy Studio is a perfect launchpad for your city getaway. Enjoy amenities such as WiFi, Queen sized bed, a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, iron, hair dryer, and more. Close to bus lines that go into downtown and the airport. For more information, see entire listing.
Hello fellow travelers, Save some money and have a great time in Seattle! Rent this comfortable studio (private suite), furnished room with a queen bed, a 3/4 bathroom with large shower, a very basic kitchenette and a private entrance. This studio is on the first floor of my townhouse. The room faces east towards the street. The studio gets plenty of natural light and is furnished with noise reducing curtains and blinds that help reduce outside noise. The studio is also equipped with a noise machine. Free WiFi is available. Please feel free to ask questions, I look forward to hearing from you.
  • My boyfriend and I stayed here for 8 nights when we visited Seattle and we absolutely loved it! There's great coffee, pizza, and ice cream in walking distance which was very exciting. The bus downtown is right outside which made travelling incredibly convenient. The street can get noisy - people and sirens - but we're already used to it so we didn't mind.

    Marilyn2016-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Maddy`s place for 4 nights after my student conference. The place was as advertised (cozy and private). There was a small kitchenette and Maddy's placed out forks, plates and a filter jug if needed. She also placed abundant towels out and the studio was extremely well-kept. After a 20-25 minute bus ride back from walking around downtown - it was the perfect place to rest and wind down. I would definitely go back to Maddy's studio if I go back to Seattle. Subsequently, Maddy makes great arrangements whatever time I arrived and left. Thank you again.

    Nafees2012-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable and convenient location especially for getting into town (downtown Seattle).

    Obi2013-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • We arrived earlier than expected and Maddy was very accommodating and let us check in early, even though she had guests leaving that day and it meant she had to hustle to get the place cleaned up. I really appreciated the little touches, like the basket of books and guides to get around Seattle, and even a spare umbrella in case it rained. The bus stop directly in front of the house is both a pro and a con, super convenient, but a little loud at times. Maddy did supply a white noise machine which made me sleep like a baby. Thanks Maddy!

    Sophie2011-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Maddy's place. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We had a rental car and parking was never an issue. The room is secluded from the rest of the home and very quiet. We could hear traffic noise occasionally but it was never loud enough to bother us while we were sleeping. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice place to stay. :)

    Natalie2013-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Maddy's studio is just what we needed after exploring day after day in Seattle - cozy and private. She was prompt to answer any questions we had, and although we did not get a chance to meet her personally, she provided all the amenities we could have needed for our trip upon arrival. Bus transportation is great and stops right in front of the studio, and though it faces the street, outside noise seemed pretty minimal. Clean room and bath, nothing bad to say about this comfy studio! Thanks Maddy!

    Stacy Ellen2014-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • A great little room for a great price. Nice location: close to shopping center and bus route if needed. The host Maddy is great. Very professional; runs her establishment just like a hotel.

    Jc2015-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Maddy's home was so cozy. We stayed there 3 nights and she gave us a total privacy. The bed is soft and we had a good sleep for the whole night. We also love the aroma there and things are so cleaned. We can find Maddy quite detail on the kitchenette of providing free coffee tea with nice takeaway cups too! The location is so closed just seconds to bus stop directed fr./to downtown.

Completely private and separate space remodeled with love and care by local trade/craftsmen. Laid-back, close to shops, restaurants and night life in downtown Ballard and steps from a great park and buslines. Minutes from downtown Seattle.
This was originally a detached work space that was converted into an art studio. We transformed it into a surf shop and now a fully independent studio living space for laid back travelers who want to relax in a warm, inviting spot. Chosen by the Seattle Post-Intelligencer Newspaper as one of their "Unique AirBnBs of Seattle" (Website hidden by Airbnb)
Ballard is an old part of Seattle that was its own independent city until the early 20th century. It was home to a large group of Scandinavian immigrants, so you can still see that flavor around town. Ballard is known for its massive fishing fleet, great shops, cool architecture, breweries, restaurants and nightlife.
  • Best place to stay in Ballard!

    Angela2018-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place to stay when visiting Seattle. Great location, with lots of easy parking (crucial in Seattle, if you have a rental car for getting around). Tim and Kelly were very accommodating! Great urban homestead feel and a solid home base if you plan on being out and exploring a lot (which we were).

    Patrick2016-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • Cool bungalow with great utilization of space. Was warm as well, with the use of 1 of the 2 space heaters. And excellent neighborhood. Happy to have found this place!

    Robert2016-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Tim's place. It was clean, in a neat location, and had everything we needed! We especially liked walking to the local coffee and beer joints and even stumbled upon an arcade with a huge vs pacman game. Tim's place made Seattle feel like home for a few days.

    Cameron + Lisa2017-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks Tim! You've inspired us to build our own little bungalow! Great stay!

    Derek2016-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • Their place is just like the pictures- a really cool design and cozy! They have an oven and stove to make up your own snacks. Tim and Kelly made checking in super convenient because we could get the key on our own. We found a parking spot right away too. The neighborhood is homey we wish we had more time, this was a stopover before a flight early the next day.

    Rachel2016-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • The bungalow was perfect for our one night stay in Seattle. The location is perfect and pretty close to anywhere you would want to go. Tim was also very accommodating in letting us check in a little early. I highly recommend this place!

    Anna Beth2017-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • Ballard is a nice area and conveniently located for adventuring in Seattle. The shack is in a nice quiet neighborhood and was clean and up to date. It had all the amenities including a french press for coffee making. The only complaint would be the privacy factor, as it is very close to the main house and did not have curtains on some of the windows. Overall a nice place to stay the weekend.

  • I would happily stay in Marian's studio again. This was a fantastic alternative to a hotel and, as I travel to Seattle often, I will certainly be staying here're again if I can. (4.5 / 5) Thanks! See you again soon.

    Zac2014-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place for a getaway in West Seattle! It was our first visit to the Seattle area, and I can't imagine a more perfect place to stay. Marian was very accommodating, allowing us to leave our bags in a safe location as we arrived before the checkout time. She was there to greet us when we arrived, and offered up plenty of recommendations for things to do in the area & downtown. Alki beach is very short walk, providing some great views. Getting downtown was also an easy 10-15 minute drive. We decided not to rent a car, so we used uber, which was fairly reliable in getting us around. The water taxi is also short walk away and another great way to get downtown. It was great to come back from a long day downtown, and enjoy the spectacular susnet views off the porch of the studio. The room was beautiful, and had everything we needed for 2 people. I was worried about staying so far from downtown, but it was easy to get around and we greatly enjoyed the quiet natural scenery surrounding their home. We can't wait to come back!

    Jordan2015-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • I was delighted to find this studio since I live nearby and wanted to share the incredible views and friendly neighborhood with visiting family members. They appreciated the privacy, the spaciousness, and the bottle of wine. It's a steep walk down the hill, but they were able to manage it just fine. Marian responded to all my queries quickly and answered any questions I had.

    Lynn2015-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • I loved this place! One block walk to the charming community of Alki Beach. There is a great paved path along the beach that I took for a spectacular seven-mile run that provided a majestic view of the mountains and downtown skyline. There are a handful of bars, restaurants and coffee shops in Alki that are more than adequate. And the California Avenue strip of more upscale restaurants is a short jaunt away. The unit itself is quiet, clean, modern and has a nice view of the water. Marian made the entire process seamless. All in all, a great option for a Seattle getaway.

    John2015-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • Marian was available and welcoming. She knew we were getting into town late and texted to check in and make sure the drive went okay. The space was just as described and the view was even prettier than the pictures. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I loved walking around the neighborhood bird watching, and the beach was so close! We will definitely stay here (Website hidden by Airbnb) was wonderful to be close to the vibrancy of Seattle but feel like we were in a secluded hideaway.

    Sali2016-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a wonderful stay at Marian and Jone's place. They were so thorough in every single aspect of our stay--from details before the trip about the place to the cleanliness of it while we were there. It's their dream place and I'm sure it's turned into a dream place for everyone who stays there. It's exactly how it looks in the pictures and I give this 5 stars--two thumbs up--if you're in Seattle and need a place to stay, stay here. Even ran into Jone the next day and he was very kind, making sure we had a good stay in Seattle.

    Charlie2016-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • Really great place. Perfect quiet studio near Alki beach. Marian was a great host.

    Phil2015-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Marian's studio was the perfect place for our brief stay in Seattle. The room was well-appointed, and we were greeted with a very thoughtful welcome basket. The view from our window was incredible! The water taxi made traveling to downtown very easy and fun. Overall, the studio is a very affordable and comfortable option-- I'd recommend it to anyone looking to avoid the hustle and prices of downtown.

  • We loved being able to walk to Pike Street Market, daily. The apartment was cute & looked exactly like it did online. Just right for 1-2 people. Rachel was pleasant and accommodating. Great time.

  • This very small, well-designed space provides a unique place to stay in an old building in Central Seattle. The studio apartment is attractively furnished, full of interesting art, books, and wonderful house plants! The many windows, and a skylight, provide good views and excellent natural light. The neighborhood is pleasant and surprisingly quiet for a central city location. We were glad to be so close to transit, a great food coop, and all the attractions of Capitol Hill. Rachel was a generous and helpful host, and she responded quickly to our questions over the course of our stay. Her written instructions to guests were clear and complete. Our stay was very pleasant!

  • Everything was great and as Rachel described. Loft was in a fantastic neighborhood and in the heart of everything.

  • Rachel was a perfect hostess. Her little apartment was so cute and comfy, a nice refuge from the busy city. She was great with communication and very helpful. Parking is a little tough... but that's Seattle for you. I highly recommend Rachel's cute little pace for your next trip to Seattle.

  • This lovely AirBnB is perfect for a cozy stay in Seattle! It was my first time traveling by myself and it was the perfect place to stay given its size, amenities, and location. Not to mention its unique style! The lovely variety of windows let in lots of beautiful natural light and Rachel's book and art collection make for homey surroundings. Heat, water, stove, and keys all worked perfectly. Very clean and tidy. Any minor issues I resolved with Rachel, who was always quick to help. Great trip overall! Enjoy this gem in Capitol Hill!

    Emma2018-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay at a great place. Very close to downtown. Walkable to everywhere. Couldn't ask for more!

    John2017-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • This place is perfect for spending a romantic weekend away. It is a very comfortable and quaint space. Rachel is a great host and was nice enough to leave us breakfast essentials! (I’m obsessed with breakfast so this was especially enjoyable). The apartment is very close to all the places my girlfriend and I wanted to go, so all it took was a few short Uber rides there with walking in between. Overall a GREAT place, I would definitely return.

    Kegan2018-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I had a lovely stay at Rachel's place. The apartment looks even better in person and makes very clever use of the limited space. There was a bit of a heat wave (by PNW standards) during our stay, which made the ability to dine al fresco on the balcony very refreshing. Rachel was very kind to stock the fridge with breakfast essentials and accomodate our late arrival and departure times. She provided great instructions and tips to navigate the city that proved extremely useful for rookies like us. Don't under estimate the importance of having a parking pass in Seattle!

Welcome to our #SeattleLakeSideLovenest, a romantic houseboat getaway where you'll experience quintessential on-the-water living in Seattle, with the cozy "hygge" feeling of a boutique hotel in Europe. Our sweet little houseboat is new to AirBnB, and just wrapped up a professional makeover.
There are very few experiences in Seattle like sleeping on a houseboat, very few houseboats available for vacation stays, and only one houseboat like ours. Recently remodeled, we want our guests to enjoy a cozy romantic getaway on the water, with all of the independence that comes from staying in a vacation home away from home, but with the design touches of a boutique hotel. Seattle has the world's best combination of natural beauty (mountains, water, forests), museums and attractions, incredible food, beer, wine, and of course, coffee. When you book, we'll have great recommendations for you of places to eat and things to do. With no fewer than three ways to make coffee on our cozy boat, you'll have plenty of fuel for your adventures! We put extra care into creating the coziest expierence for your visit, with many spots to curl up with a book, or with a special someone. Stay within range of Seattle’s funkiest neighborhoods, and a quick Uber to downtown. We have the best food, best coffee, best beer, and great wine, plus a water lifestyle that you can’t find anywhere else. #seattlelakesidelovenest
The marina is full of kind and quiet neighbors, feel free to say a little "hello" to passers by. Convenience store with coffee, breakfast sandwiches, teriyaki, cold beverages, ice, newspaper, toiletries, sunscreen, etc are a 1 minute walk north of the marina. Duck Dodge on Tuesday evenings is an essential part (a MUST SEE) of Seattle summer on the water (look it up online). Sit on the top deck, grab our set of binoculars and watch a packed lake of costumed sailors (each week has a different costume theme) having too much fun on the water in their race to the finish line -- a gold, silver and bronze duck sticker is the prize for each race. In the winter, there is a similar 6 series Sunday race, called 'Goosebumps'. Middle of January until 3rd week of February. Seaplanes take off and land at Lake Union throughout the entire year unless there are heavy rains. Please note: the top 2 floors of the building adjacent to the marina are a restaurant and event venue. Once in a while they host events (I've experienced salsa dancing -- sometimes open to the public -- and weddings every now and then) and might keep their windows open. On occasion, these events have run as late as midnight or 1am. Closing the windows in the well-insulated houseboat helps a significant amount. We have some noise cancelling ear buds with replaceable/disposable tips for 'noise emergencies' -- please just reach out and message us and we'll tell you where they're hidden. I have always found these eclectic events to be entertaining and part of the unique experience of this particular marina. If you are interested in any community events and/or volunteer opportunities, we have plenty of suggestions. For instance, every Wednesday, volunteers gather on Lake Union in kayaks to paddle around and monitor the health of the lake and vegetation. If you are interested in participating in an event like this, please let me know and I can make arrangements for you. Getting around Bike and walking path will take you all over the city: south to downtown, and north toward the Fremont neighborhood with connections to the 27 mile long Burke Gilman trail, as well as all of the local businesses along the way. Rentals: - There is a new bike rental service ('Pedal Anywhere') where they deliver the bicycles to you on demand. How it works: reserve from 2 hours up to a year in advance. Ride from 1-60 days. That’s it! - Inline Skates: Just near the south end of the lake, a new skate rental + shop just opened called 'ShopTask'. Rentals start at $10/hour up to $30/day. Look up details online and you can reserve and find their location, which is walkable from the houseboat. - SoloWheel testing: Call or take a 5 minute walk to the Solowheel store along the bike path just south of the houseboat and set an appointment to learn how to ride one of these electric 'unicycles'. - Stand-up paddleboards (SUP) and more kayaks of all sizes are a minute walk north of our marina. Pull your kayak up to one of the public docks + beaches in many places along the shore and have lunch or a picnic. For city commuters and urban adventurers: we recommend walking 15 minutes down the walking path to the South Lake Union Trolley station to connect to downtown, Bellevue and the east side transportation, cruise + ferry terminals at Seattle waterfront, SeaTac Airport (guidebook contains additional information). It is a 20 minute walk to the Space Needle/Seattle Center. Uber, Lyft, and other car sharing services are easily accessible from this location. Public parking is available in front of building.
  • If you are reading these reviews & trying to decide if you should rent this houseboat - stop what you are doing & book it immediately. The location is fantastic & the pictures are very accurate. The furnishings are trendy, but homey. Communication w/ the host & check in were a breeze. The houseboat provided the perfect backdrop for my recent trip to Seattle. The only thing that you should be aware of is that the houseboat does have a marine toilet so it does have “limitations,” but Jeff was sure to let us know how to handle the situation & it didn’t pose a problem for us. If I return to this area, I would absolutely want to stay here again. I highly recommend you give the houseboat a shot - it’s a special place.

    Katie2018-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • This houseboat is beautiful! Clean, stylish, friendly neighbors, beautiful views of the water and sailboats. The upper deck was a favorite for taking in the scenery with a cup of coffee.. and again later with a glass of wine! This was truly a highlight to our Seattle stay.

    Jenny2018-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Jeff's houseboat was exactly what he said it would be. It is beautifully decorated and the amenities were high quality. The special touches such as the welcome gift basket complete with wine, crackers and cheese and books about Seattle were an extra bonus. We appreciated the wifi. The king size bed was so comfortable and the sheets smelled divine. Our host was welcoming and so friendly and made us feel right at home. We would definitely recommend this space to others.

    Bob2018-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous, peaceful house boat. Great location. Boat looks like the photos- beautifully decorated and clean. Would absolutely recommend to a friend!

    Emily2018-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Cannot recommend this place highly enough! The houseboat was as beautiful as pictured - if not better. A warm and welcoming reception awaited us, and we appreciated all the small touches (great quality coffee, interesting books and guides lying around, multiple throws and heaters for warmth). Incredibly comfortable bed, very plush. Amazing deck up top with a great day bed. Very easy to get around from here.. All positive. Thank you for a great stay Jeff!

    Monique2018-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fantastic way to see Seattle! The boat was as beautiful in real life as it is in the pictures. We enjoyed our evenings on the deck with a glass of wine watching the boats go by. Jeff was easy to communicate with and very responsive. The onsite contact, Patsy, was a sweetheart, so helpful and responsive. I hope we have the opportunity to come back and stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone!

    Kristin2018-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • It was a pleasure working with Jeff. Communication was great and the houseboat was beautiful. Perfect for our weekend in Seattle.

    Carl2018-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Staying on Jeff’s houseboat is a quintessential Seattle experience on Lake Union. The photographs are a true glimpse of this unique, restful, and beautiful space. We found the location perfect; easy to walk, Uber, or drive to downtown, Fremont, Ballard, or Gas light Park. The welcome gift of wine, cheese, and smoked salmon were such a thoughtful touch for our first evening; which we enjoyed on the rooftop patio while watching all of the lake activity. There were so many hospitable details that made our stay relaxing and enjoyable; cloud like beds, delicious local coffee, books and pamphlets about Seattle, cooler for our wine on the rooftop, and Patsy who welcomed us into the boathouse. Thank you so much for sharing your boathouse.

Waterfront on Cultus Bay, 15 minutes from Langley. Wall to wall windows and deck overlooking the bay. Gorgeous western views of mountains, sunsets, herons, eagles, and deer. Your unit is the lower level of our home. Counter-top cooking (hot plates, small oven, micro, toaster, teapot) in kitchenette. Ping Pong. Just 15 minutes from the Clinton ferry, and 15 minutes to Langley. Walk from here through woods to Possession Beach Waterfront Park. 1.5 hour to Seattle, if no ferry line nor traffic!
Astounding southwestern water/mountain view, just 15 minutes from Langley, on the southwest shore of beautiful Whidbey Island. Gorgeous sunsets. Large windows frame the views from all of the rooms (except the bathroom!) We are on a hillside above the channel that connects to Cultus Bay. Herons, eagles, gulls, ospreys, hummingbirds, otters, and more delight us! Deer frequent our back yard, too, and many guests have enjoyed waking up to grazing deer outside their window. You will stay in the downstairs level of a 2 story house. You'll find one traditional bedroom, and a second "bedroom" that is screened off from the living area with permanently installed shoji (Japanese style wood and rice paper) screens, which may be left open or closed. This room may double as part of your living area during the day, since it is beside the kitchenette, the rocking chair and glider, and the fireplace insert. Private bathroom with tub and shower. The kitchenette/living area is modest but charming, with a refrigerator, two-burner hot-plate, a microwave, and a countertop small oven, and a small dining table for four. During the winter you may enjoy using the fireplace insert. The Ping pong table, is situated in a part of the downstairs unit where we store our own books and art supplies, which you are welcome to use while you are here. Kids might enjoy our train set and puzzles. (We also store a few personal items in closed cabinets) The outdoor deck faces the canal where our dock is ( for viewing only. We don't host boats), Cultus Bay, and Olympic mountains. Pick-your-own raspberries in season in our front yard. In the spring, summer and early fall you will have your own entrance IF you are comfortable walking down a hillside either on grass, or on wood chips. If not, use the stairs inside our house, which are immediately to the left of our front door. We prefer that you use the inside stairs in the late fall and winter because it gets slippery outside. Let us know if you want us to put up a portable screen, if you prefer that the entrance via the stairs be more private. There is a door between the two floors. We live upstairs, and will share the washer/dryer with you. If you want to do more cooking than the downstairs kitchen allows, let me know and I will schedule time for you to use our bigger stove. We are just 15 minutes from the WA State Ferry in Clinton, which crosses over from Mukilteo in 15 minutes.. The drive to the ferry from Downtown Seattle is from 40 minutes to 90 minutes, depending on traffic. There may be a wait for the ferry. We MAY be able to pick you up if you aren't traveling with a car. We are 15 minutes south of Langley, a sweet seaside town. We are about an 8 minute drive to the Whidbey Institute. Our lot is more deep than it is wide, so please know that our home is close to our neighbors on either side, but our community is very quiet, and our guests frequently comment on the quiet, peaceful atmosphere here. Wireless connection. Just upgraded to 50. Non-smokers, no pets. Daytime lounging around: we have chosen to put a regular bed in the shoji room, since it is so much more comfortable to sleep in than a pull-out couch. But this means we don't have a couch. Lounge on the bed, or in the rocking chair or glider, or on the outdoor deck in our gravity chairs or colorful hammock! We love sharing our beautiful view and hospitality with you. We have registered with the State of WA and Island County as a short-term rental, so we pay taxes to support Island County's and WA State's infrastructure.
We love the view from our home, and we enjoy the beach walk just a few minutes from our house, and the forest walk a bit further but in walking distance. We adore the exceptional quiet in this neighborhood, the sea air, the birds, and even the deer, though they nibble at our foliage. Langley is just a 15 minute drive, Freeland is 20 minutes away, Greenbank is 30 minutes away, Coupeville about 45 minutes, Oak Harbor about an hour, and Deception Pass about 1.3 hours.
  • I was not able to actually stay at the place because a multiple hour ferry delay prevented us from getting to the island, but I gave Janet all fives because she was incredibly accommodating and supportive, both trying to find a way to help us get there, and finally allowing us to cancel last minute despite that not being her typical policy. I felt respected by her through the entire process.

    Michael2016-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • I had an amazing time staying at James and Janet's home! The house and view are both wonderful. James was incredibly friendly helping me get settled in. Thank you James and Janet for a fantastic overall experience! Would stay here again!

    Alan2016-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a nice stay at Janet/James home. Everything was as described and clean. The location was convenient to where we wanted to go. Janet was very friendly and informative.

    Su2017-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first time to Whidbey and we were very pleased with our location. Janet and James are very kind and have a beautiful home. The views from the bottom level (guest floor) and patio are wonderful! We really enjoyed watching the sun set and then waking up to water views.

    Travis2015-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • The space had absolutely incredible views, and we loved the setting. The space itself is cozy and comfy, with all the comforts you could ask for. The wall heaters were a nice touch for cool evenings. James and Janet were delightful, welcoming hosts! We enjoyed picking some kale from their garden, at their invitation, for a super-fresh dinner salad one of our evenings there. I'm also an Airbnb host, and I learned a lot from them!

    Anna2016-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great!

    Emisa2017-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • James and Janet were warm and inviting. This airbnb is even better than descibed. It is your own space with beautiful bay views. A vacation property recommended to friends and family with our own plans to revisit.

    Bryan2016-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks to James and Janet for a most enjoyable stay in a beautiful part of Whidbey with amazing views just as shown in the listing page. The suite was well equipped for self catering and the hosts were very helpful in suggesting walks in the nearby parks and villages. We hope to visit again some day. Gosia and Bertrand

  • Great studio in a great location. The studio was very well equipped. Marcus and Lara were wonderful and provided a lot of great tips for traveling exploring the city.

    Jessie2015-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time and found the place comfy and convenient!

    Sarah2016-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • Marcus is an amazing host. He was able to accommodate our request to check-in early, and warmly welcomed us when we arrived. A quick tour of the studio (which is lovely, comfy and as pictured), and we were on our own to explore. The location is perfect for many reasons. It's an easy and inexpensive commute from the airport on the LINK, which stops right at S. Edmunds with a short walk up the hill to studio. On our way we spied PCC, a wonderful grocery store that we stopped in several times during our stay. The LINK gets you right downtown in no time. In the neighborhood, we enjoyed great meals at Super Six and The Spice Room, and a long walk along Lake Washington. This was our first Airbnb booking and it was a definite success.

    Rebecca2016-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • The backyard studio was prefect for my friend and I's quick two night stay in Seattle. It was VERY clean and appeared just as the photos represented it.

    Natalie2016-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Five stars! My wife and I spent two nights in this studio and it was better than staying at a hotel. The host thought of every detail from coffee to wifi to shampoo in the shower to even a pick up from the light rail station. The location is PERFECT just two blocks from the mains trip with some of Seattle's top rated restaurants and bars. We'll always stay here when we visit Seattle. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

    Austin2014-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Hi Marcus, Your accommodation was just what we needed and we liked it. It was location for us, close to family. Having a parking place was nice also. We will consider using your bungalow again. It was clean and comfortable. The three windows took a minute to figure out as they have latches that can't be moved with the pole provided. The window over the door I wasn't able to latch but that turned out to be just the right amount of fresh air to make the room feel fresh always. A ladder would be required to latch that window. I was able to climb on the desk and latch the other two. I wouldn't have had to latch them except they would not close without moving the latch and it was too cold to leave them cracked open. Thank you for your prompt hospitality when we arrived in town as we were unable to schedule an appointment due to the pass closing. Hope to see you again when we get another chance to come to Seattle.

    Jane2016-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • This studio was cozy and the bed was very comfortable. I liked that there was a heater system, since the winters in Seattle can be very cold -- even the water heated up quickly! Additionally the location was perfect, being that it was only one train to and from the airport and one 30 minute bus ride to Pike Place Market/downtown. There were also restaurants and cafes just one block down! I would definitely recommend this studio!

    Nicole2017-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great please to stay. 5 min to train that takes you down town quick and convenient. Super clean and nice room. Everything is like you see on the pictures. Nice and quiet area with beautiful running trails around the lake. Lara did everything she could to make us feel welcome

  • Kamy's place was perfect for my needs. Affordable two night stay in seattle for a work event. I was comfortable with the walk downtown, 35-45 minutes. Bed was comfortable, place was clean, bathroom was modern, space was easy to access. Kamy communicated clearly and timely. place is in a residential neighborhood, not many restaurants and nightlife, but was a 10-15 min ride to Capitol Hill, 25-30 min walk. Would stay here again if in Seattle.

  • We had a great time visiting Seattle and staying at Kamy's place, everything we could have asked for and at a much better price than staying in a hotel in a similar area. We had an early morning departure for the Clipper ferry and it was a super close walk. I appreciated Dewey’s quick communication and easy checkin and check out! I’d definitely stay again!

We love our neighborhood and think you will too!
  • Excellent location, if you're looking to stay a little further from the downtown core. A quick 10 minute drive to all touristy spots. Great little apartment with everything you could need and more. Fantastic hosts, left us with a guide of all the cool things to do, best places to eat etc. & a little basket of goodies in the kitchen Prompt and easy check in and check out. Will stay again !

    Kristi2017-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely above and beyond fantastic hosts. Beautiful space and view with snacks, drinks, coffee, and plenty of local suggestions. Friendly and helpful. Couldn't recommend more.

  • Had such an amazing stay at this airbnb! Karl & Arlene were both so professional, kind, and accommodating. The place was so comfortable. Very quaint. Felt like a cabin nestled in the forrest! The picture of the view from the living room windows hardly does it justice. Beautiful! Full kitchen, lots of blankets, everything we needed and more! No complaints. Would love to stay here again.

    Christine2016-12-12T00:00:00Z
  • Karl and Arlene's place is a wonderful mid-century styled apartment with endless charm. Imagine where Don Draper might stay if he came to Seattle. The apartment is a beautiful, clean, comfortable, retro styled place, with every furnishing and amenity that you'd need. Everything is remarkably preserved and clean. Karl and Arlene we're wonderful, attentive and accommodating hosts who handled our delayed, late arrival with total grace and made us feel completely welcome. Strongly recommend for anyone coming to Seattle who'd like to stay somewhere a little different from a generic hotel.

    Robin2017-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cute apartment! The kitchen was really great to have and the living room was really nice. View is amazing and loved eating breakfast next to the windows. Location is pretty good since it is close to bus stops to downtown, at first I was worried about it being far, but it ended up being great since it was close to both Fremont, cap hill, and downtown! Having a whole foods close by was also great. Only "problem" was the shower was a little finnicky but that wasn't a problem for me since I'm used to things like that haha! If you want a really homey and bigger apartment, I think it's worth the compromise of not being in downtown, but just a bus ride away!!

    Jamie2017-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, very nice accommodations, great view from main room, personable hosts, would definitely stay there again and will recommend to family and friends

    Justin2017-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and easy bus access. Would definitely look this place up again next time I'm in Seattle.

    Jeffrey2017-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • We loved Karl and Arlene's place, has a real 60's feel and is very clean and well cared for. It was extremely comfortable for the three of us and the location is superb, very close to Pike Place Market and the Space Needle, shopping, restaurants etc. Arlene had some great activity ideas for us while in Seattle and Karl warmly greeted us upon check in. Thanks for everything, we will definitely stay again when in the area!

This place is 1 block to the waterfront, 2 blocks to Pike Place Market, in the middle of Downtown Seattle, and it's walkable to the Space Needle. Great for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
Walkable to all major Downtown Seattle locations, including scores of places to eat, drink, explore. If you feel like spending time inside, Roku and Netflix can be watched on the TV. There's high-speed internet, too. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AMENITIES: - Blankets, pillows, bedding, towels. - High-speed wireless internet - TV with Roku (Netflix streaming (account provided), Amazon Video, etc. - Electric Heat. - Air condition provided during summer months. - In-room laundry washer and dryer provided. - Clothes iron + ironing board. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NEARBY: Here are some things that people like to check out (and because you'll be staying near the center of town, they're all walkable): • Pikes Place Market • Convention Center and the "Freeway Park". • Seattle Center/Space Needle/EMP Museum/Pacific Science Center. • The Monorail • Seattle Waterfront • Seattle Aquarium • Ferris Wheel • Argosy Cruises Harbor Tour • Seattle Art Museum (SAM) • Downtown Seattle's "Belltown" nightlife scene is just a couple blocks away, full of restaurants, and popular bars. By day, this area is a great place to get breakfast, check out many independent cafes and shops, and experience the unique feel of Seattle. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ F.A.Q.'s (Frequently Asked Questions)------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: Is there parking nearby? Everything is accessible by walking or riding a bike/bus/uber/lyft. However, if you do bring a car, you have a few options: • There is usually street parking available nearby. If you park north of Bell St, it's $1.25/hour. Street parking is free at night (8pm to 8am), and free all day Sunday. • Check the site Parkopedia, which has a list of pay lots and garages that are nearby, along with detailed pricing. (Area code 98101) • Street parking near Queen Ann is free (near 3rd Ave West & West Mercer St). Park there, then catch a bus or uber/lyft into downtown (about a 10-minute ride). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Q: How do I reach your place from the airport? The Light Rail goes directly from SeaTac airport to Downtown Seattle and runs about every 7-15 minutes. Tickets are $3.00 or less. Once you get on, it'll take about 45 minutes to reach Downtown Seattle. Detailed directions are provided when the reservation is confirmed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: Is the neighborhood safe? You'll be staying a block from Pike Place Market, the biggest tourist attraction in Seattle. The Art Institute is also nearby, along with a store that's open past midnight, so there are usually many people around. There are, like in most major cities, homeless people all over, but they are generally respectful. I feel that the neighborhood itself, and certainly my building (which itself is secure) is very safe. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: Is it noisy at night? It's not. Occasionally you'll hear city noise in the distance, but due to the position of the building and windows (not facing the street), it's not bad at all. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: Are you flexible with check-in/check-out? If an early check-in or later check-out is important to you, please ask before you make your reservation. However, I may not know if it's possible until we are closer to the days -- it depends entirely on if I have other guests coming or going that day, and when. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: What if we have a really late flight the day we're checking in? No problem! I don't mind staying up late, so feel free to take the red-eye! If you're flight is delayed, this is also not a problem. I just ask that you do your best letting me know your schedule, and any changes, when you can. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: Is cooking allowed? Yes, you are welcome to use anything and everything in the kitchen! I've got a decent amount of cookware - as well as a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and electric kettle. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: We'd love some suggestions of things to do while we're in town. Ok! We'll be happy to go over ideas with you during check-in. There's a detailed wall map inside the place, making it very easy. I pride myself on my knowledge of the area. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: Is it ok if we smoke? No. You'll have to smoke outside, completely outside of the building -- and not closer than 20 feet from any of the building entrances (this is city law, and strictly enforced). If you're a regular smoker, this listing is, honestly, most likely not for you. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: I like the art in the place! That's not a question, but I'm glad you like it! This is something we're just trying to start, so there may not always be art, but we wanted to offer something unique which also benefits the community, so everything we get to decorate the apartment with is from local artists/photographers and it's all for sale. All the money goes straight to the artist. Let us know what pieces you want, we'll tell you how much the artist wants, and you're free to take it from the wall on your way out! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: Wait--I have a question you didn't answer in your F.A.Q.s! I find that hard to believe! Anyway, shoot me an inquiry and I'll get back to you ASAP! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tips: - Grab a free copy of "The Stranger" from a newspaper bin or coffee shop for a list of shows or events that are going on.
You can find lots of music venues, art galleries, restaurants, pinball bars, movie theaters, arcades, loads of touristy things and coffee shops within a few blocks distance in any direction. In addition to Pike Place Market, the waterfront is also just 1 block away.
  • We absolutely loved our stay while in Seattle. From the first greeting with Ryan (helps Max & Rachel out with check-ins) he was super helpful with information about the city, where to eat, shop etc and how to use the place. The location was fantastic, very close by to everything and we were able to walk everywhere! The place was fitted out nicely with everything we needed for our stay, the only thing missing was a sharp knife to cut food. Super impressed and would definitely stay again and recommend to others!!! Thanks again guys.

    Caelum2018-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Max and Rachel were great. Very responsive and friendly people. For those that don’t know seattle well the unit is in a great location near the restaurants/bars of Belltown and Pike Place Market but just far enough away that it is still quiet. Thanks for having me.

    James2018-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great apartment with all promised facilities. We arrived pretty late from Alaska, but were met as agreed and given a really informative orientation about Seattle (first time we’d visited). Easy walk to Pike Place Markets and Belltown, so after we spent the days walking around Seattle, it was really convenient to grab a bite to eat in the evenings.

    Richard2018-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Apartment is walkable to both the Space Needle and Pike Place Market. The bed is super comfortable. Basically, this is a must stay when in Seattle!

    Erika2018-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • Very central; we were easily able to walk to a range of attractions, bars and restaurants. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Overall an excellent base for exploring Seattle.

    Hannah2018-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Max and Rachel’s place was in a great location for us; easy to walk to places in downtown Seattle.

    Amanda2018-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Max and Rachel’s place is close to much of downtown but does require some walking to get around. Walls are a bit thin so road traffic can be heard at night.

    Michael2018-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • The location of Max and Rachel's place is within walking distance of many of the iconic attractions in Seattle. The building feels very private and secure. While we did not meet Max and Rachel, we were met by one of their friends.

This lovely, modern room and ensuite bath is detached from the main house, so you can enjoy privacy and quiet. We are a 5 min drive from Ballard and a 15 min drive from downtown. Welcome to our quiet, safe neighborhood!
For those who would like more privacy than that offered by a room in someone's home, this detached bedroom is a perfect choice! The bedroom has a queen bed with a memory foam topper. Power strips on both sides of the bed allow for cell phone charging. Wireless internet and cable tv are provided. There is a small, walk-in closet so that you can unpack and feel at home. The full bath has shampoo, conditioner, and liquid soap, as well as plush towels. The windows bring in plenty of light and fresh air in the summer and there is also an air conditioner, and the floors have radiant-floor heating for the winter months. I have created a small area to enjoy hot beverages and quick meals. There is a mini-fridge, a hot water kettle, and a French press for your convenience. I provide orange juice, a variety of teas, freshly ground coffee, hot chocolate, instant oat packets, granola bars and fruit. I'll also bake scones or muffins on one morning of your stay. With dishes and two chairs, you'll be able to have a quick breakfast before you head out for the day. There is a hair dryer and umbrella to use as well as beach towels. If you need or forgot something, let me know, and I’ll do my best to accomodate you. The guest suite is attached to our garage. The garage will not be in use between the hours of 9pm and 9am. However, during the day, family members will occasionally open the garage door, which can be heard from the guest room. Please note that there is not a full kitchen or laundry facilities in your guest suite. Our guest suite is not kid-friendly. Babies and young children are not a good fit for this listing. Ages 12 and older are welcome, as long as your child is part of the 2 person max. Thanks!
Ballard is known as one of the hippest neighborhoods in Seattle. Come to Ballard for amazing restaurants, micro-breweries, and coffee shops; come to shop at the boutiques on Ballard Ave; come to check out the salmon run and the boats coming and going at the Locks; come for the year-round Sunday Farmers’ Market; come for the Golden Gardens beach with views of the Olympics; or come just to walk one of the most walkable neighborhoods in Seattle. Let me proudly advertise an area just two blocks away from our home. Seattle Met named it “one of the city’s best food micro-hoods.” You won’t have to go far to enjoy these amazing restaurants: Honore Bakery, with French macarons that rival those in Paris; the Fat Hen, a light and cheery cafe that serves great breakfasts and coffee; Delancey’s, where locals line up for amazing wood-fire pizza; Essex, serving mixed drinks and bar food especially for foodies; and Brunswick & Hunt, providing farm-to-table fare. I have a notebook full of suggestions of where to eat as well as where to play while you are here. If you'd like, I can email you my info so you can plan ahead.
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. Our private room exceeded our expectations-Debbie goes above & beyond making sure that every ammenity is available to you. Her homemade breakfast scones will seal the deal! We were able to store our bikes in her garage & enjoyed the backyard patio area. Her location is perfect if you want to visit Seattle Center-by car or public bus. We were able to enjoy the Ballard neighborhood too! We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Seattle.

    Suzanne2015-09-29T00:00:00Z

  • Debbie was a great informative and gracious host. Her unit was very clean, private and had all of the amenities to make our stay comfortable. We will be very happy to stay there on our next trip back to Seattle.

    Jay2015-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great location to our daughter, a very private room, clean and comfortable. We will definitely try to stay here again, Great coffee and scones in the morning. Debbie was friendly and communicated well. Thanks for a great experience.

    Rebecca2015-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • Debbie was an incredibly thoughtful host. We arrived with a personalized welcome note and a room stocked with tea, coffee, and plenty of local recommendations and reading material. And we were so pleased to wake up to freshly baked scones left on the doorstep. The room is clean, adorable, and comfortable (especially the bed---we slept great!). The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet and very close to downtown Ballard (lots of shops, bars, and restaurants). Would highly recommend.

Historic renovated studio apartment that has 98 walk score and is only a 10 minute walk to Pike Place Market. It's a corner unit apartment with 13-foot ceiling and has all the essentials. Top Pot Donuts (best Seattle donuts) is right next door!
This studio condo is in downtown Seattle right in the center of everything! You'll be within walking distance of Pike Place Market, Space Needle, Chihuly Garden and Glass, EMP Museum, and Pacific Science Center.
Belltown is a great neighborhood and is at the heart of everything. Pike Place market, Space Needle, EMP Museum, and Chihuly Garden and Glass are all within walking distance.
  • In terms of location, it doesn't get much better than this place. In fact, the location is so good that we wound up returning our rental car on the second day because it was more of an inconvenience to keep it and pay for parking than to return it and walk/Uber to get to where we wanted to be. I was initially concerned about the noise level (traffic, construction), but quickly figured out that the noise level dies down quite a bit at night, and if you turn on the fan in the living room area it's fine. Kumail was very responsive, welcoming, and an overall great host.

    Bonni2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Neighborhood and area is super cool. Communication is fine, i was left directions to get in and out. Thats all i really needed

    Tyler2016-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Very close to everything! Only serious issue was the creaking heater that randomly goes off at all hours of the day but nothing you can't ignore.

    Magdalena2017-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to be near many attractions. I would come back again.

    Brian2016-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • The pros: this Airbnb is in Belltown, the heart of downtown Seattle and central and everything you'd want to walk to. It's a 5 minute walk to the needle, uber is easy to grab, and the rails are quick and easy to access to get to pike place or you can walk. Belltown itself has a lot to offer. The apartment fit all of us quite well. The bed and the fold down futon were comfortable, there's great wifi and tv. Street parking is free overnight but not abundant, and there are daily pay lots very close to the building. The cons: check in directions weren't communicated well as you'd expect or I typically get with Airbnb. I had to click a lot of links to find the check in codes for the building, then the code given was wrong. I text to ask and about 15 minutes after no response called and was able to get the correct codes to get into the building and apartment. That was a little frustrating. There is no a/c and a fan that didn't help much. We happened to be there on a very hot week, so all the windows were open to help with he heat, and this is a very loud part of town, so be warned that ear plugs will be helpful. The space has all the basics, towels are very tiny but they work. There are all kitchen essentials, and the building the secure (code entry). It's an average place and a great location.

    Christina2017-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed for a weekend. We were allowed to drop our bags off early. This was great so we could explore Seattle without luggage. If you are used/can't live without A/C this place doesn't have it(majority of Seattle doesn't) Portable fan worked wonders and kept us cool. My husband and I loved being centrally located in the city. It beats staying at a hotel without all the amenities this place has to offer. We were able to walk to Pike market, the Space needle, Etc and there are numerous restaurants, bars and diners to choice to eat from. If you prefer a quieter sleeping environment, I'd recommend getting ear plugs and a mask. The light rail runs in front of the building. My husband and I are used to city sounds so it didn't bother us. The only thing that could have made this even better was to have a working washer/dryer (it was disclosed before booking so no surprises)

    Jaimie2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had six in our party so the residence was basically used for sleeping purposes. It was very clean and well provisioned.

**Please click on "read more" and read everything below before booking** Our place is a bit unusual and we want to be sure it's a great match for your style of traveling. Please read all details below, plus the house rules so you don't miss anything that might really matter to you once you get here (shared bathroom, ladder, etc) • This is studio #17 - a private airbnb room designed as a simple & affordable space for arts-related guests near the heart of Seattle's downtown gallery district. But you don't have to be an artist to stay here - all are welcome! •You'll have this private room all to yourself. It's located among 15 other art studios on the 2nd floor of our building in the Japantown area of Seattle's historic International District. It has an upper bed-loft with a luxurious Novaform queen mattress & very comfortable bedding - plus a sweet skylight above the bed. The lower portion of the room has a small couch (not meant for sleeping), desk & chair, and other basic furniture. Free wifi and satellite TV w/HBO are included. Shared bathrooms & kitchenette are very close by. ~~~~~~~~~ important notes: • The room has a skylight over the bed up in the loft, and no regular windows. The skylight has a window shade. For air circulation there's a ventilation exhaust fan on the ceiling, and an in-wall vent that draws fresh air in from the hallway. In the summer the room has an air conditioner. • We don't recommend booking this room if you have trouble climbing stairs & ladders. There is a pretty long flight of stairs to get up to our floor (no elevator), and you'll need to climb a ladder to get up into the bed area of the loft. The couch is small and is not meant for sleeping. • You'll have access to 2 shared bathrooms nearby down the hallway, one with a shower. You can also use our shared kitchenette area with fridge & microwave (no stove). Although there are other artists working in the building and sharing these common areas, they don't live here and most of the time you'll hardly see anyone around. Check out our many reviews for feedback about the shared bathrooms if you're wondering... • Our listing is a little unusual and we want to be sure it's going to meet your needs before you choose to book it. Please send us a note with the secret code word TEDDY (that's our dog) - this will let us know you hung in there and read the whole thing. • Also before booking make sure your user i.d. profile is complete, including a good clear photo of you. It helps with security in our building to be able to identify guests. Thank you!
This is a fun & interesting international neighborhood with lots of quirky shops and tons of food choices - including a great sushi restaurant right in our building. There's quick take-out to high end, and everything in between. Uwajimaya Asian specialty supermarket is close by, plus coffee shops & bakeries - you won't go hungry in this neighborhood! • Check our online Guidebook to see all the great restaurants & attractions we've bookmarked in our neighborhood. We also have a guidebook in the room when you arrive with some of our favorite spots nearby for food, plus maps and other details. • We're just a few blocks from the baseball & soccer/football stadiums. There are many bars and clubs within walking distance, and even more just a quick bus ride away. Since the building is right downtown you can also easily visit the Seattle Art Museum, Sculpture Park, Pike Place Market, the Space Needle, Experience Music Project, and many other great Seattle attractions. • Please note that we're right next to the Pioneer Square neighborhood, which tends to have some homeless people on the streets. Along with the conveniences of being right downtown - great public transportation & cool places to visit - this is city life and we don't recommend walking around by yourself late at night.
  • Great hosts! We had no issues!

    Samuel2015-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location! Very clean and comfortable. Only wish we could have visited some of the artists and seen their work.

    Paul2012-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • The space was just as pictured—everything was well-kept and clean. Great location, too (and free parking on Sundays, which was awesome). I would definitely stay here again.

    Erin2013-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • The room is clean, comfortable and quiet. Kitchen and bathroom arrangement works well. The entire floor of our room / kitchen and bath appears to have been recently remodeled and everything is in very good working order. We replied on public transportation for our 3 days here and this location was perfect. We purchased ORCA cards (fast pass) that work on all transit options (except the mono rail) and that made traveling very easy. Dirk and Jaq were fast to respond to any questions we had. Thank You.

    John2013-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Just as described. Fantastic location near train station. Great food, especially sushi right below the flat, and it was good sushi! Jaq is really helpful and friendly. Zero complaints, my wife and I had a great time.

    Antonio2014-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great experience. Dirk & Jaq communicate so well, making us feel confident and comfortable with getting into the room and using the facilities. Location-wise, the room was perfect for going to see a concert at The Showbox. The room itself had a cool layout with good lighting and temperature controls. We enjoyed being in an art studio as well. We passed by a few artists in the hall who were most cordial. Slept sound and would stay here again. Thanks, Dirk & Jaq!

  • This place was perfect for our 2 - day stay! We loved the location as we could walk to all the shopping and restaurants downtown and in the Intl District. Also light rail to the airport was super convenient-a block away which was perfect for our early flight. The room was clean and efficient, as well as quiet. The bed was really comfy and fans were strategically placed about the loft to keep air moving. Dirk and Jaq left clear instructions and great suggestions. We didnt meet but they were great with communication - ready to help if needed. The shared bathroom was really clean and there was no conflict with use of it. We were very happy with our stay! Recommended.

  • I would definitely book the loft again. I found the room, kitchen area and bathrooms to be of a very clean and enjoyable style and atmosphere. Even the colors of linen and towels appear to be carefully chosen. The bed was comfortable. The location was perfect for me as well, within a short distance to central public transport spots and within an area of good and affordable restaurants. While I have met neither Jaq nor Dirk, communication was especially quick and friendly. The lack of sound-proofness (activity from the corridors and kitchen area can be heard almost unfiltered) had only little impact on my stay, but means that having a quiet night depends somewhat on the other room's guest. However, the overall impression is extremely positive!

  • We LOVED our stay at Matthew's place. It was well stocked and super clean. He was awesome with his description of things and getting in and out was super easy. It's in a great location and the building was secure and quiet. Our only problem was parking but with his parking pass we finally got a spot closer to the apartment and used Uber or Lyft. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Seattle!!

  • I loved staying here. It was easy to get to, and in a lovely peaceful street. I really liked Matthew's taste - the apartment felt like a great place to relax. It is in easy walking distance of shops and a metro station. The roof terrace is an added treat. Watching the sun set over the Seattle skyline was a highlight of my stay. Also well worth finding the Mystery Soda machine, which is near Capitol Hill metro station - adds to the sense of this being a fun, quirky place to stay. I went for a run in a great park very near to Matthew's apartment, which was another highlight. Matthew was helpful and communicative, and a great host. I'd love to stay here on my next visit. It made me feel very at home in this amazing city.

This apartment is in the historic Queen Anne neighborhood! A quick drive to downtown and we are conveniently located between downtown and Ballard. We are close to Kerry Park, the top of Queen Anne, the Cruise terminals, Ballard, Fremont, and the Seattle Center. Plenty of room for 4. We are walking distance to the rapid ride bus line to downtown.
This is a daylight basement apartment of our home. It has a bedroom area with a queen bed, a pull out couch in the living room, and a small kitchenette. Everything you need for a couple nights or longer! Towels, shampoo, conditioner, and soap are provided. We have a TV with access to netflix, and Amazon prime. We also have a Blu-ray/DVD player. Please note it is not connected to cable. We have fast wifi. We just upgraded to gigabit internet! The studio is a little over 700 square feet. The bed area is separated from the living area by a short hallway. The fold out couch is in the living area.
We love how Seattle has such great and different neighborhoods! Queen Anne has a lot of history and a lot to offer. The apartment is in a residential neighborhood, but close to commercial areas like the top of Queen Anne. Kerry Park is a must for photographers. We're also close to other neighborhoods with shopping, parks, and restaurants. We're a quick drive to downtown Ballard, a long walk from the Seattle Center in lower Queen Anne, a quick drive from Discovery Park in Magnolia, and a short drive to Fremont. You can access these areas by bus, Lyft, and Uber too.
  • Booked this Airbnb for my brother over Thanksgiving. The place was clean and lovely and seemed to have everything needed for a comfortable stay. You have to do a bit of walking to get to any of the nearby shops, so I would say this place is even better if you have a car to get around. Extra perk: the views of Seattle are beautiful from here!

  • The place is super roomy and in wonderful condition. You could easily have a family of four and cook meals in there. Frankly it's way better than described. It's easy to get around from that location either with a car or a short walk (with steps) to a bus stop. Parking is no problem. Highly recommended!

  • Kari and Matt were great and so helpful with any questions we had! The accommodations were perfect for our family of four and we were even able to do a load of laundry. Very comfy for us to have breakfast and dinner at the apartment each day!

  • Loved this place! The hosts were very responsive and the place was simply AWESOME! Great location and 10000x better than hotels. The place was posh and clean. I will be recommending this place to friends and family and I’ll book it whenever we decide to spend the night in Seattle. MANY THANKS FOR SHARING YOUR WONDERFUL PLACE WITH US!

Dwayne was a fantastic host. They space is clean and quite. As advertised. The hosts went out of there way to make us feel welcome. Little treats placed in the room were the extras that they put out there for us. Thanks again.
