  • This little gem was perfect for us! The inlaw unit was cozy and kept nice and cool. (seperate from the main house in the back yard) The cottage is under the magnolia tree. At night it was a little startling when the little pods would drop off the tree onto the roof or deck. Lol. But you get use to it. The cottage had a comfy bed and nice sheets. Loved being able to make coffee in the morning! Great little kitchen. Washer and dryer are down stairs. Very handy. The property is so cute. Love the classic gas lamps and the pool area. Coming in and out of the back gate with a code was great. (Especially at night being careful not to disturb anyone) Being able to take a dip in the pool mid afternoon was superb to get a break from the heat! Having bikes accessible was also great. The neighborhood is residential. Walking distance to the French quarter. A little sketchy at night but daytime walks were nice. We loved it here! Can't wait to come back and stay with you guys. Thanks for having us April and Ken!

  • Warm, well lit, though outside of the French Quarter this private cottage was a perfect place for us (3 people) to easily get in and out of downtown and also have space to spread out and relax. I met Ken on the trip and really enjoyed his thoughts on the neighborhood and breakfast recommendations were all solid. Almost every cab driver warned against walking into town, but I jogged the Treme and strolled the area (during the morning) and had no issues. Would definitely stay there again!

  • April and Ken were great hosts! They spent a lot of time making recommendations for our visit into town and they were wonderful suggestions. They were also very sweet and personable, making sure we had everything we needed. The house is fantastic too! It's like a mini home, private, secure, completely updated and very cute. It is also within 1 mile walking distance to the French Quarter, a very easy and lovely walk along Esplanade. I can honestly say anyone seeking to stay in NOLA would be very happy with their stay here.

  • This was the a great location to many things. Uber works great and we felt safe in the location. Our hosts were wonderful and we felt welcome the moment we arrived.

    Peg2017-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • This visit was both our first time using AirBnB and our first visit to NOLA. We were pleased with our 5 day stay. The guest house is not too big or too small. Plenty of room for us as a couple to be comfortable and probably more. We did not meet the hosts but were grateful for the list of recommendations left and a little bit of information via text. We rented a car and also did some walking and ubering while we stayed. All three were functional and convenient for us. The neighborhood looks very authentic in the way that there are some hit and miss homes that are run down, but we always felt safe. Don't be fooled by your first impression. The house and guest accommodations itself are very nice. We enjoyed our time and would stay here again.

  • Had a great time in New Orleans everything. April and Ken were great host. Will be back.

    Stephanie2017-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time staying in April and Ken's beautiful listing. It was even better than the pictures made it look, which was already pretty great. The listing is well appointed with everything you need for a home away from home and in a great location, it was quiet and serene while remaining central to most things and with the bikes April and Ken offer it was only a 15 minute cycle to most tourist spots. The listing has its own access so we didn't interact much with the hosts but when we did they were friendly and helpful, as was their great list of places to eat! Go to Elizabeth's for the fried green tomatoes! All in all we had a great stay in NOLA and would definitely recommend April and Ken's listing.

    Francesca2016-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • April was a very gracious host, who checked in on us when we arrived to New Orleans. The guest house is exactly how it is described (and more ) on the site: clean and cozy, located within walking distance to French Quarter & Frechmen St. I will be recommending this house to anyone heading down to Nola!

This beautiful home is in a perfect location to explore the City of New Orleans. It is a hidden gem within walking distance of Frenchmen Street, the best local cafes, bars and restaurants (L'il Dizzy's, Port of Call, Cafe Du Monde), and only 2 blocks from the French Quarters. The home is perfect for those who want to be near it all yet still have an authentic New Orleans experience that is usually only available to locals.
This is a true New Orleans home...you'll enjoy all of the traditional details, like the fireplace and exposed brick.
This neighborhood is alive. It's energy is quintessential New Orleans. You won't find a bad meal or a weak drink. The locals are always friendly and quick to start a conversation.
  • What a wonderful historical spot! Mark's place was really comfortable and just as described. The front porch was a great spot to enjoy the warm December weekend! Thank you to Trudell for delivering our luggage! I will definitely stay here again. Cannot wait!

    Jill2016-12-12T00:00:00Z
  • This home is gorgeous and spacious for more than 1 person and very clean. It was a very pleasant walk into sites and sounds of New Orleans. We felt very safe walking home late from the French Quarter and Bourbon Street.

    Kara2016-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • This place is beautiful! Suggestions of places to visit were left for us to chose from. The bead decorations were a nice touch that brought the vintage place together. Very clean and the AC works great! (Much needed for the NOLA humidity) Thank you for this great experience!

    Antonette2018-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and beautiful place. Mark was very responsive to all requests. Would highly recommend.

    Debi2016-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • We would refer Mark's place to everyone looking to stay in New Orleans. Great host, friendly neighbors and perfect location.

  • Perfect balance of location and Truedell was extremely helpful and generous beyond expectations!

Guest area features private bedroom and bath with its own private entrance. Only 2 miles from the French Quarter by streetcar. Enjoy complete privacy in the guest space or visit with the hosts as you desire. Additional bedroom is available for groups traveling together or families traveling with children. Please discuss your group's needs with the host. New Orleans license number is 17STR-06526.
Private bedroom and bath in our charming shotgun house just off the Canal Streetcar line only 2 miles from the French Quarter. Guest area features private entrance, lovely patio, beautiful antique furnishings, 11-foot ceilings, petite chandelier, comfortable and clean queen bed, and cozy guest robes. Internet, cable TV, parking, oscillating fan, iron, music player, white noise machine, hairdryer, fridge, coffeepot, crockpot, and snacks are provided. The space has a peaceful, airy feel and is flooded with natural light. This listing is unique in that you have complete privacy from the main house. The guest space has its own exterior door, and you are free to come and go as you please. The garden path leading to your room features motion-activated lighting if you are returning after dark. The room is located down the garden path in the rear of the house. A second bedroom is available for groups, so the space can be made to accommodate 1-4 people. We welcome special requests and will make every effort to assist with needed recommendations. We can also provide a travel crib and other baby items if you wish to travel with your childen. We love hosting guests for honeymoons, anniversaries, and other special events. Our home is located in the historic Mid-City neighborhood, which was one of the first neighborhoods to spring back after extensive flooding due to Hurricane Katrina. Mid-City is located, as the name indicates, in the middle of New Orleans on what was once the backslope of the Mississippi River natural levee. Our home was built around 1910 and is a typical New Orleans-style shotgun house. In New Orleans at the time of construction, the shotgun house utilized a minimized lot frontage, on which taxes were based. The houses were also built without hallways and closets, which would have been counted as rooms for tax purposes. The origin of the building style and the name itself may trace back to Haitian influences on New Orleans, as many Afro-Haitian slaves lived in this area. Our house was recently featured on the HBO series "Treme", as the law office of the character Toni Bernette (played by Melissa Leo) and also as part of the interior of the home of Creighton Bernette (played by John Goodman). Guests are free to have complete privacy or to meet with the host as desired to obtain recommendations for food, drink, and attractions. Check-in is offered via a lockbox. Rates may vary during special events and holidays. Our home is located just off the parade route for Endymion, the largest parade of Mardi Gras. The festival grounds for Jazz Fest are just over 1 mile away.
Mid-City is a diverse neighborhood with its own distinctive flavor. Bars and restaurants in this area are largely patronized by locals, so the neighborhood provides an escape from the more touristy areas of the city, while still allowing easy access to the French Quarter via the Canal Streetcar Line.
  • What a great place to call home for 2 nights while traveling through New Orleans. A very quaint and clean bedroom in the back of one of the classy shotgun style homes just outside the French Quarter. Erin checked us in and gave us some helpful hints on the best restaurants in Mid City and best mode of travel to and from the Quarter. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to return.

    David2014-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon... And his 40th bday... And our good friend's wedding! We really could not have been happier! It was beautiful and just a short ride away from the Canal Street Car which brings you right into the French Quarter. A taxi was also just a quick and cheap fare ! Our Hosts were incredibly thoughtful ! They made sure we had everything we needed and then some! We will def be back! Sure quiet and clean as well! Oh! And she left us snacks , drinks, travel info, and just about anything else we would have needed!!!

    Chelsea2014-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful room exactly as described. The home is convenient to any transportation available and to restaurants and clubs. Check in and out was as easy as can be. Erin was fast and easy with communication.

    Julia2015-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic stay! It is 100% accurate to pictures and locations. Bed is very comfortable, internet is fast, shower is strong. They were responsive and good natured, especially when I messed up their simple instructions on how to get in to the room. Lovely and I would absolutely rent again, when I visit the amazing New Orleans again!

    Heidi2016-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great room. Great host. Great location. Easy parking. Easy check in and check out. Can't beat the overall experience for the price. Would definitely book again.

  • We loved our stay! Erin and Greg were so great. Didn't get to meet Erin but she was so incredibly responsive via text/email. Greg met us at the front door and he showed us the room and where to park. The room was FANTASTIC!!!!! Bathroom, amazing! Bed, super comfy! Really wish we would have taken advantage of the robes! Probably the nicest I've stayed in on AirBnB. The binder was so helpful! Oh and I can't forget to mention, their floors were spotless! It was AWESOME! I could walk around barefoot and no dirt/dust or anything stuck to my feet. Weird, I know, but that really gets to me in some people's homes. Also, the snacks in the room were perfect! We were driving from Dallas to Savannah and so we took some for the road which was really helpful and convenient so that we didn't have to make full stops in certain areas. So THANK YOU so much for those!!!! Really just an incredible space!

    Sarah2016-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • I spend a wonderful weekend in Erin and Greg's beautiful shotgun house. I was trying to find something to complain but couldn't recall any, the bed is warm and comfortable, the room smells great, and the room has a private entrance so your privacy is guaranteed. Erin and Greg prepared everything for you: the robe, the toiletries, the chips and drinks, and even some recommendations for places to visit or dine. I didnt get a chance to meet Erin, but Greg was very helpful. The house is conveniently located, you can easily take streetcars to French Quarter, Frenchmen Street or WWII museum in 20-30 minutes. For places not that popular with tourists like Audubon Park or Magazine street, you probably need to transfer to a bus and walk a bit. There is also a great sandwich place nearby, I still miss the their po-boys. In a word, definitely recommended and I would love to go back sometime.

    Jinru2013-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I loved staying at Erin's quaint shotgun house. It was an easy walk to the streetcar and a short ride into the French Quarter. The bed was very comfortable, sheets were nice and soft, the space was serene and tastefully decorated, and the amenities were nice (beer, water and juice in the mini-fridge, Aveeno and Organix toiletries in the bathroom...score!). Erin was super helpful and quick to respond to texts. She had some good restaurant recommendations in the welcome binder in the room (must have breakfast at The Ruby Slipper nearby!). The neighborhood was quiet and away from all the tourists. We felt safe walking to and from the streetcar and to the local restaurants. Loved it and would definitely return!

  • The studio is very clean, and comfortable. Matthew is very organized, with lists of clubs and restaurants available on the coffee table. Nice, quiet neighborhood to stay. Highly recommended.

  • We had a great stay at Matthews. It was even better then the pictures and described. Great location. You have everything you need in his apartment. It has been a great experience staying there the last two days. We wish we had longer!

    Rebekah 2016-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Matt was a great host and the room was beautiful, as pictured. It was airy, clean, comfortable, spacious and a delight to stay in. The bed was very comfortable. There is a lovely private entry through a lush green path and convenient parking in the driveway. The neighborhood was quiet, very pretty, safe and residential, nice for walking. Matt was easy to communicate with, very responsive, thoughtful and a pleasure to meet. We would highly recommend staying here and would return again with pleasure.

    Susan2016-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • I haven't been to many Airbnb places, but Matthew's place has been by far the best yet!! Matthew went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed! His place is so cute and he really paid attention to detail and has included so many little things like toiletries and kitchen items, like the Keurig, that really says he cares! It even has a full size washer and dryer! I loved it so much, I'm planning on a return trip!! Thank you Matthew, for EVERYTHING!!

    Rebecca2016-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • Mat’s studio apartment was exactly as pictured and described. His craftsmanship was evident in the architecture, construction, styling, and outfitting of the space, inside and out. He is a great host! We communicated back and forth several times prior to our arrival and felt like we were being greeted by a friend when we got into town. We weren’t around much (trying to squeeze in more than our schedule would allow at the end of our vacation) but wished we could have gotten to know our host better. He has put a lot of heart into making this a great experience for his guests. Mat has really thought of everything, including preparing a welcome guide that covers safety (much appreciated) and leaves the guesswork out of where to find things. He also had recommendations for dining/drinking/events. The location is in a very nice neighborhood and adjacent to many of the grand homes along the St. Charles streetcar line. We felt safe walking throughout the area even after dark. Mat even provided some beverages and snacks, which was super nice. If we get back to New Orleans in the future, we wouldn’t hesitate to contact Mat again. AirBnB is a great experience because of hosts like Mat!

    Sharon2016-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • This is what an airbnb is supposed to be. Pictures don't do this place justice. Extremely clean, private, spacious, and convenient. Matthew was a great host and gave us a quick tour of the place when we arrived. Would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone.

    Chris2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was my favorite Airbnb yet! It was so cozy, welcoming, and clean. The space is beautifully decorated and has everything you need. Matt got the place ready right after I booked it and I was able to come in early to avoid getting caught out in a storm. Coming and going was easy and the place is on a very safe block. The property is beautiful and has a screened in area adjacent to the little rental house. The entire experience was great and I would definitely have stayed another night had it not already been booked. Also had a very reasonable cleaning fee! Location is central to all the neighborhoods in NOLA but still tucked away enough to be quiet and serene. I would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in New Orleans.

    Julia2017-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • Matt's place was everything he advertised and more. We stayed a week, and felt so comfortable. Located in a very nice neighborhood, and a safe walk to the street car. What a wonderful experience!

    Kristen2016-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Really lovely place, convenient location - super close to the French quarter. The host was also really responsive and available to any questions we had. Slightly smaller than indicated by the photos / description, more of a 4 person flat than 6.

    Sara2017-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is in a great location and is lovely. Close to Bourbon Streets' hijinx and even closer to entertainment and food on Frenchmen. Quiet and well appointed, there are more than enough beds on the first floor for those who can't or don't want to use the stairs. We will absolutely stay here again.

    Ayesha2016-12-06T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved the place! We ended up staying at the condo more than we went out because it was so comfortable. The private courtyard was beautiful and serene. It gave the impression of a secluded oasis while still being right off of the main strip. Would definitely come back here!

    Katherine2017-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here for a bachelorette party, it was perfect! We felt safe and comfortable in this cute condo. During the day it was a short walk to Bourbon, Royal, & Frenchmen street. In the evenings it was a $6 uber home. Would definitely recommend to a friend or stay again.

    Maria2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • This place was amazing for our trip! DeeDee was SO accommodating to us. The place itself was spotless and had everything we needed! Location wise, it was close enough to the French quarter to walk everywhere, but far away enough for peace and quiet. The place was location/house itself was nice, but the details and host made this a perfect stay!

    Vilong2016-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • DeeDee was super helpful! Very available, very quick, and so friendly. The condo was delightful -- everything was as expected, very clean and comfortable. Also, the location is really ideal -- in a beautiful quiet neighborhood, but walkable to shops and restaurants or to Bourbon St. if that's your pace. Would definitely come back!

    Avery2016-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time staying here! The apartment was just as described and Deedee was a wonderful host in making sure we had everything we needed! The apartment was just like all the other reviewers said, walking distance to French quarters but far enough that it was quite at night. Would definitely stay here again next time we come back!

The Mazant is a plantation-style home dating back to the early 1880s, located in the heart of New Orleans' Bywater arts district - and about 1-1/2 miles from the French Quarter (30 minutes walking or 8 minutes by Uber). We are close to Bacchanal, The Joint, The Country Club, Elizabeth's, and Satsuma Cafe. It's perfect for family reunions, wedding parties, company off-sites, and other large groups.
UPDATE SUMMER 2018: This summer we are making some additional updates to the house, including adding one additional queen bed (upstairs), remodeling three bathrooms, adding a new half bathroom downstairs, and doubling the size of the kitchen. New floor plans are already available online and photos will be updated by the end of September. ----- We have been working to renovate the house over the past several years, seeking to preserve historic details including 13' ceilings with plaster medallions, heart pine wood floors, cypress doors, and a 125-year old oak tree. At the same time, we updated the layout to more comfortably accommodate large groups: * 18-person dining room table * Oversized living room with 70-inch television, surround sound system, and Baldwin upright piano * Private yard (1/3 acre) with fire pit, six-burner propane BBQ, outdoor table, and hammocks * Super-fast WiFi (the top tier that Cox offers) * Front porch (gallery) with historic gas lamps and outdoor seating * Off-street parking for two cars and ample street parking for overflow The house has eight bedrooms with layout as follows: Downstairs - Bedroom 1: one queen bed (semi-private bathroom - shower) - Bedroom 2: one queen bed (ensuite bathroom - shower) Upstairs - Bedroom 3: one queen bed (ensuite bathroom - shower/tub combo) - Bedroom 4: one double bed - Bedroom 5: one twin bunkbed - Bedroom 6: one king bed - Bedroom 7: two queen beds (semi-private bathroom - shower) - Bedroom 8: one king bed There is another shared bathroom upstairs (near the laundry room) with a clawfoot tub-shower combination. Unfortunately, the caretaker's cottage is no longer available for rent.
Just down river (east) from the French Quarter - stretching from Press Street to the Industrial Canal - is the Bywater, where the mood and pace shift as you enter into the heart of an edgier yet still welcoming neighborhood. The St. Claude Arts District, centered around St. Claude Avenue, is home to more than thirty locations exhibiting visual and performance art, along with an array of artisan crafts. Down Piety Street, the fun continues with restaurants, thrift stores and more galleries. Even the homes, cafes and restaurants seem to capture Bywater's eclectic appreciation for the arts. Spend the afternoon at Crescent Park for some impressive views of downtown New Orleans and the Mississippi River. Afterward, you can thrift your way through the neighborhood before stopping in at an exhibition and finally making your way to dinner. The area's restaurants are among the most innovative in the city and are great places to sit with a cocktail and chat with locals. Above all, the Marigny and Bywater neighborhoods illustrate the relationship between the New Orleans arts scene and local life. So whether you're looking for the New Orleans of old, or if you want see where New Orleans culture is headed for the future, the Faubourg Marigny and Bywater will offer you glimpses in either direction.
  • I'm a frequent traveler and Airbnb guest, and I have to say that Jeff's Bywater House is one of my favorite places I've ever stayed. The house itself is magnificent. It's well-appointed, clean, has great amenities, and wonderful air conditioning. I love the Bywater neighborhood. It's not touristy, but it's safe and up-and-coming. It has tons of local flavor, and there's an endless amount of stuff to do, eat, or drink within a ten minute walk. It's about a ten minute Uber to the French Quarter or most places you'd want to go in the city. We took our team of 9 to this house for a company retreat. Everyone was thrilled and comfortable. It couldn't have worked out better. The outdoor areas are delightful, too. I'll be coming back!

  • We had an amazing time! Beautiful home and everything was perfect!

    Amanda2017-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Jeff was an amazing host and this house is incredible! We hosted a bachelorette party there and it could not have been more flawless.

    Francesca2018-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • If you're smart enough to have booked here - count your lucky stars... The Mazant is incredible. Period. From Jeff's communication - all the way through the process of booking until our stay - to meeting Kevin and the welcome and southern hospitality we received and all the personal touches - we couldn't have asked for better hosts. The house itself looks even more magical in real life. Completely faultless and ever little detail thought of... My only issue is I couldn't stay longer. I will, no doubt -be back.

  • This house is amazing! Best airbnb experience I've had. We had a group of 20 and rented out the cottage in addition to the house. The house is roomy, clean, and very well decorated. The hosts are quick to respond to any questions or requests and were very helpful during our stay. We loved every minute of our stay at The Mazant. And the Bywater is a great neighborhood to explore if you haven't spent time in this part of Nola.

  • Top notch space. Loved the look of this Airbnb. Very unique and great distance to bourbon street and the French quarter. Would highly recommend this space.

  • Brad was very accommodating and even tried to quickly find us another unit for an additional night. This airbnb is very spacious. It does not feel crammed even with max capacity of 8 guests. Loved the extra details like soaps, makeup remover wipes and robes! Highly recommend

  • The place is even nicer in person and the accomadations were perfect!!!

  • Absolutely loved our stay. Perfect apartment, location and places to eat nearby!

  • Our group of two married couples really enjoyed our stay! This condo was in a great location, about 4 blocks from the French Quarter. Although it had no view to speak of, the condo was spacious with a huge master bedroom with an outdoor space (not a good view) and private bathroom. The 2nd bedroom was large with s double bed and a set of bunkbeds. The great room was spacious and the kitchen was beautifully appointed! There was alot of brick and the condo had 14 foot ceilings which added to its charm. The bathrooms were also very modern. The condo was very clean and the furnishings nice with plenty of seating! A few things needed attention such as the fans on the great room and master bedroom didn't work. Our group lacked one coffee cup and there were no creamers or sugars to go with the coffee. One bathroom lacked a hair dryer. But these things are an easy fix once the owner becomes aware of the problem. All in all this place was wonderful and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a condo to stay in while in New Orleans.

One bedroom, ground level apartment in quiet City Park Triangle. Walk to City Park, Jazz Fest, and street car to French Quarter. Fenced yard with gazebo and fire pit. Short walk to coffee shops, restaurants, and shopping.
City Park Triangle is a quiet and safe neighborhood. It is very well located to provide easy access (1/2 block) to City Park (Art Museum, Botanical Gardens, Morning Call) and just 0.4 miles to N. Carrolton Ave to restaurants, shopping and a stop for the Canal St. streetcar line to the French Quarter, Convention Center, WWII Museum and much, much more.
  • Great choice!

  • What a memorable stay! Joan’s place was everything we hoped for : spacious, clean, with good amenities and really quiet. The bed was amazing and we slept better than we had in weeks! The pralines and bottles of water waiting for us when we arrived were a really thoughtful attention. If you’re looking for a beautiful place not too far from the main attractions and close to City Park, we highly recommend staying there!

    Jade2018-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is an excellent place to stay! Joan was kind and her place had so many amenities and was incredibly comfortable and nice. Would definitely come back and recommend this place to others!

  • This place was just as described. Very clean and spacious. The neighborhood is nice and also right next to City Park. I'd stay here again.

  • The place was great, and made better by Joan's hospitality. Not only was Joan easy to communicate with and very friendly, but she had a helpful guide for us that let us know about good restaurants and other things in the area. Would definitely stay there again.

  • A place with all the amenities you could ask for at a reasonable price. Joan was very prompt and kind. Her place was located near multiple public transportation spots and city park (make sure you check it out). Quiet neighborhood.

    Grace2018-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • This was a cute, clean, safe, and lovely space. Joan was always helpful and available. Close to City park and there are some great restaurants near by. Will definately recommend to friends.

Please see calendar for daily rates! Some days are lower than others!
Built in the 1860's, "Little Orange" is half of a "shotgun"; thus, it boasts the hallmarks of traditional New Orleans architecture: 13 foot ceilings, cypress mantels, pocket doors, tall shuttered windows, and hardwood floors. The shutters are a vibrant orange to remind you of this city's Caribbean spirit. Bienvenue aux tropiques! The apartment is fully furnished and appointed, the space comprised of a living-room (with queen pull-out couch), equipped kitchen, one bedroom, and small bath. There's wifi, a large flat screen TV, burglar alarm, granite counters, stainless steel appliances, washer/dryer. And a great book collection too. The apartment is best suited for two people; however, it can sleep four when using the pull-out couch. As of Sept. 2016, there's a brand new Queen mattress in the bedroom: it's a Comfort Dreams Select-A Memory Foam (medium-firm) and very comfortable! Please know that when the couch is extended in the living-room, that common space radically shrinks. There's a $25 fee per adult guest #3 and #4. There is no additional fee for children. The front porch overlooks a full block of green space (Annunciation Square Park), home to many soccer and kickball games. There's a basketball court in the park as well (and so a basketball sits in the bedroom closet for you too). I spend more time on the porch than I do in the living-room. The porch also overlooks my small--but robust!--butterfly garden where a small fountain burbles. It's a great place to drink coffee in the morning and wine in the evening, and I hope the night-blooming jasmine is working its perfume when you're here! The apartment is an easy stroll to lower Magazine Street, known for its many boutiques, antique shops, bars, and eateries, as well as to the Warehouse District/CBD and French Quarter. Please check out my map/guidebook! I've mainly tagged places to which you can easily stroll, but I'm happy to offer suggestions for outings in farther flung areas of town. The house is not far from the Convention Center, Mardi Gras World/Productions, The Chicory (wedding venue) and Second Line Stages. If you are in town for a conference/event or working on a film, my location can't be beat. Likewise, if you're in town for a game, a cheap cab ride gets you to the Super dome quickly. This neighborhood has been dubbed one of New Orleans' hottest for obvious reasons. There really is a ton to see and do (and eat) right here. For those interested in getting out to explore other parts of the city/state, it's worth knowing that my location offers convenient access to I-10. No need to traverse all of uptown or the Quarter to find the interstate. The on-ramp is three blocks away, which means the West Bank is five minutes away, the airport, 20 without traffic. If you don't have a car, the bus runs along both Magazine and Tchoupitoulas. I bought this property for its convenience of location. Although the apartment is an easy distance to many hot spots, the neighborhood itself is quiet--another reason I bought this property. Your sleep will not be disturbed by traffic or street cheer. The Mississippi rolls by just two blocks away, so the hood has a sultry "edge of town" feel. I love this about it. Neither uptown nor downtown, it floats in between, spooned by the river(URL HIDDEN) Regretfully, pets are not allowed.
Lower Magazine Street is made for wandering. Just two blocks away, it offers an endless stream of boutiques, cafes, bars, coffee shops, and restaurants of all price ranges. Many guests choose to devote one full day to exploring Magazine. In terms of immediate surroundings, my neighbor is restoring a gorgeous, but run-down, New Orleans Greek-revival mansion. He is doing the work himself (!) with the help of family and friends (it is an impressive undertaking), so his construction work is intermittent. Often there are sizable breaks between bursts. For the most part, it is quite quiet, but construction work does flare up from time to time. As 99% of previous reviews attest, noise is not a regular feature of Little Orange life, yet all potential guests should indeed be aware of the potential for construction noise. Whenever my neighbor communicates his work schedule, I will pass this info along to potential as well as confirmed future guests.
  • This home was about as perfect as one could wish for and exactly as pictured. An ultra-clean, beautifully decorated shotgun-style home with a hostess who is conscientious and thoughtful of her guests' comfort. It is located in the quiet neighborhood of the lower Garden District, a short bus ride from Canal St and the French Qtr. Getting around by bus was super easy. There are many restaurants, cafes and shops within easy walking distance. Jess was right next door but allowed us our privacy. She was always available by texting and got back to us immediately any time we had questions. We felt very welcomed and hope to return. Thank you, Jess.

  • This is our second stay at Little Orange. It's a great low-key location. And a sweet little house. Jessica is personable and a knowledgeable ambassador for her city. We had a great time and definitely would go back to this home away from home.

    Lisa2016-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Easy going host and great location. Easy to check in (which I really appreciate after some annoying/sketchy AirBnB experiences). Place is really awesome and loved the neighborhood.

  • Jessica made us feel very welcomed, and checked in with us often to see if there was anything we needed. The apartment was perfect for our needs; located in a quiet, residential neighborhood, yet within walking distance of great restaurants, shops and museums. We would try to stay there again on our next visit and I would recommend it to other travelers. Thank you, Jessica!

    Lisa2015-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • We are in love with Little Orange! Our host was helpful & accommodating and the home is just so sweet. We love all the little personal touches around the house, especially the art work. It was super cozy and relaxing! The park across the street was perfect, especially with a 2 year old in tow. The neighborhood is awesome, so much great architecture to look at and great cafés and shopping to walk to. We will be returning to New Orleans and to Little Orange for a longer trip sometime soon!!

    Kristin2016-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Jessica's apartment was super clean, and decorated beautifully. It was perfect for the three of us who stayed there. Easy walk to Magazine St, and such a convenient spot for attending an event at Race & Religious. Jessica was awesome about being in touch, and was flexible on the check-out time. I would recommend a stay here anytime, and would look forward to coming back!

    Elise2014-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Jessica was a wonderful hostess! Very attentive. The house was as pictured (comfortable and clean); neighborhood under construction (seems to be an up and coming area)... Very close to good shops, restaurants, and bars on Magazine. Was a little disappointed with water pressure situation - got weak and ran low on hot water when used a lot. Worth it to stay in a beautiful old shotgun! Thank you Jessica

    Lauren2016-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • I had planned a trip to New Orleans with with my 13-year old son and a friend of his for the NBA All Star Game. We arrived at 12:30AM and were a little concerned about the neighborhood, because our cabbie made us nervous; but upon entering Little Orange, we were put at ease with the alarm that we were able to arm, and even more so when daylight broke. Little Orange is in a typical NO neighborhood that is going through a transformation. You can tell that as the time goes on, the neighborhood is only going to get better! The location cannot be beat if you have business at the Convention Center, as we did. Also, the park across the street is ideal for kids, and pick up BBall games. And Little Orange is absolutely adorable, and exactly as the photos depict. Getting to the Convention Center was a breeze (just a 10 minute walk), and to catch a cab to other areas, we usually just had to cross the park, and there'd be one there. It was a really busy weekend in NO with the All Star Game and the first parade of the season, and we quickly learned that calling for a cab was a futile effort. We had better luck getting direct numbers for cabbies that we liked, and having them meet us at the house to get us to the arena, French Quarter and the airport. But no complaints. Jessica was a great host, she provided everything we needed, the house was perfectly equipped with everything. Jessica was receptive with communication, and just a text away. I'd definitely recommend Little Orange to anyone, especially if you have business at the Convention Center!

Our newly renovated apartment is right in the middle of town, within walking distance of Magazine St. and just on the edge of the Garden District. Plus, it's just 3 blocks from the streetcar and St. Charles Ave.
Please be our guest in the newly renovated apartment situated at the back of our really old (1850s), charmingly-dilapidated house. It’s just a couple blocks from the parade route/street car/St. Charles, and only about a mile from the Superdome. They don’t call it Central City for nothing! Walk past the main house, down a winding brick pathway, and up the stairs to the private entrance. You enter into the kitchen, with concrete countertops, old wood floors, and plenty of sunlight pouring through the original wood windows with old bubbly glass. Fix yourself a drink and head up the spiral stairs to the bedroom. Just around the iron handrail is a full size bed, and plenty of reading material about the places you’ll want to see and the food you’ll want to eat while you’re here. Then venture out the bedroom door onto the balcony. Did I mention you’re on the third floor now? The view is excellent, the palm trees sway in the wind, and you can hear the marching bands as they pass down the parade route. I almost forgot the bathroom. Honestly, it’s not huge. But it’s everything you need, plus a claw foot tub. And cozy towels, and bubble bath, and . . . well, it’s a bathroom. And just in case you’re wondering, it also has a flat-screen tv, cable, internet, a microwave, a coffee maker, all the things you need in a kitchen, and probably some welcoming Abita beers in the fridge.
Central City is the Best! We're right in the middle of everything. . . and I don't mean right in the middle of the French Quarter, I mean in the middle of a less touristy, little bit quieter New Orleans. We're just on the edge of the Garden District, a short walk from Magazine St, and just 3 blocks form the streetcar line. Plus, we're only one block from the super hip, up and coming Oretha Castle Haley Blvd where you'll find the best coffee, the indiest movies, a few restaurants, the new Food and Beverage Museum, and a tatoo parlor in case you're in the market. So come check out my neighborhood, you'll love it like I do!
  • What an amazing place! Super convenient and very private . Highly recommend it!

  • We found this to be an ideal place to stay. The location is great - handy for both Magazine street and getting into the French Quarter and beyond. The apartment has all you could need, and is beautifully restored. All in all, I would not hesitate to highly recommend this as a great place to base yourself while in the city.

    Elizabeth2015-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a gem -- super conveniently located, within walking distance to public transportation, restaurants, local attractions, etc. I chose to use uber/lyft most often, but no ride was over 15 minutes, aside from getting to/from the airport. There are many stairs into the unit as well as inside (a note to those with impaired mobility) but otherwise a really lovely space with everything you'll need for a few days in town.

  • Great place, would definitely stay again.

  • Jackson was a great host--the apartment is beautiful (and the balcony with its breeze lovely in the evening) and it was so convenient to the St. Charles streetcar line. We found the bed to be very comfortable and really enjoyed our stay.

  • Great place to stay in a prime location. Near some great food spots and some beautiful homes, and easy access to the streetcar.

  • My husband and I loved this apartment! Jackson was a great host, giving us advice when we arrived about places to go and information about getting around. We loved being able to walk to Magazine Street, and loved that the streetcar was so close. My husband also looked forward to seeing Pearl everyday! We would recommend this apartment to others, and would definitely stay again!

Here is a list of all the useful info about my house: **Pricing Fluctuates During Seasons/Holidays $35 is base price** (Website hidden by Airbnb) ***This is NOT a 100% PRIVATE room.*** ***This house is in typical New Orleans style; a "shotgun house" where some rooms share a door and walk through path to other parts of the home. This means you will have tenants of this house walking through the room during your stay. "Le Peach Parlor" is decorated as an environment for you to feel welcome and at home with a loft bed and small sitting area.In the bedroom, you can control your own heating / cooling. This listing is for a full sized loft bed with staircase, in the "living room" (a space used in this shotgun style home to commute between rooms). You have privacy curtains in the loft for sleeping late and being more comfortable. There is plenty of storage space in the loft for your belongings. ***Alex and 7 year old Daughter Vivian are the permanent tenants here. They live in the front of the home and with whom you share their home, including bathroom and kitchen as well as the other bnb room we have. When you book with us, you are agreeing to share your space with them :) I am totally flexible and available to accommodate any check-in or check-out times. However, for regularity sake I suggest: Check in after 3pm Check out before 11am Also note that you're welcome to check in anytime after 3pm but Alex sometimes works late and we can't guarantee the room will be clean until 5:30pm, but please come and make yourself at home :) take out the bikes, or lounge around, (if you're going to take a nap and/or you've checked in before the room has been cleaned, please message us to indicate when we can clean) thanks again and see you soon!

  • The stay was great. The room was really unique. The only problem we had was that it was hot. The air conditioner wasn't run through out the house, but there is a window unit in the room. It cools the room down really well, but since it's a loft bed you can't feel much of the air up there. Amanda was sweet and kept to herself, though she does need to walk through the room to get to the kitchen and bathroom. The booklet of places to go was great. We went to 4 of the places and really enjoyed ourselves at them all. Overall- good trip and good stay.

    Jessie2015-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • I guess me and my boyfriend had an out of the ordinary experience while staying in The Peach Parlor because our time there was awful. I generally like to stay in quirky places for a one of a kind experience, but we spent our time there saying that we couldn't wait to leave The Peach Parlor. We never met Andrew and he had very minimal contact with us. From what I can tell, he is out of the country, but he never told me that himself or asked if we needed anything or checked in at all. We came in our first night while Amanda had guests and were not greeted very warmly. We did meet Alex who was extremely friendly and welcoming. The pictures were slightly deceiving, the actual room was not as bright or as roomy as it looked, which was not a big deal. The overall cleanliness of the room was unacceptable. The loft area was not clean and had a very unpleasant smell to it. (My boyfriend also found some very large bugs crawling in the sink of the bathroom.) There was an AC in the room which was nice but it did not reach the loft where you will be sleeping. There were two fans there but it was still difficult to fall asleep until later in the night when the overall temperature cooled down. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on and both of us work up feeling sore and very tired from a restless night. I would absolutely not recommend this house or this host to stay with. Maybe we got an unlucky experience considering most reviews seem to be very positive, but based on our stay, I'd find somewhere else if you're planning a trip to Nola.

    Ryan2016-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Coco was an attentive and perfect host. The Gold room was exactly what we needed during our weekend stay in NOLA: an artsy & very comfortable haven only a few miles from the French Quarter and in a quiet neighborhood. We took full advantage of the bicycles that were provided, a most welcome bonus (we were able to use bicycle-only lanes along most major streets, making New Orleans one of the most bike-friendly cities in the U.S.). HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

    Patrick2013-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Coco and Andrew were excellent hosts! We loved the beautiful Gold Room and had a very comfortable stay. Coco and Andrew's home is easy biking distance from anywhere you'd want to go. We even walked to the French Quarter a few times (about a 35-minute walk). The "zine" Coco and Andrew provided was also fantastic -- wonderful recommendations. This was our first air bnb experience, and I would definitely try the service again based on our time with Coco and Andrew. I highly recommend staying at the Gold Room.

    Kimberly2013-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • The place had easy directions to understand, and I arrived without any hiccups. If you don't have a vehicle, the bikes available to guests make it easier to get to restaurants in other neighborhoods too!

    Olivia2014-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to stay as long as you don't mind the mild lack of privacy. My friend and I did not. It's in a shot gun style house and as such sometimes housemates in the back will need to pass through this room to get to the bathroom or kitchen. They were always friendly, quiet, and respectful when doing so. There are privacy curtains surrounding the bed so that made it even less intrusive. Having the bikes was of great use to my friend and I. We live in Minneapolis and get around mainly by bicycle, neither of us have cars. This allowed for us not only to get around the city more quickly but also to see the city in a way that we most enjoy exploring places. The place was always clean, everything we needed was available and we felt sure that if we had needed anything we could speak to Andrew or even the two permanent housemates. Overall, great stay. Not much to say. The room description is completely accurate.

    Cristina2014-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • They accomodated my early check-in and the room was great! Thank you

    Carrie2016-03-01T00:00:00Z
CONSIGLIATISSIMA!

  • We had a blast! The space was charming and a short walk to the French Quarter, the pool was a perfect oasis, and April and Ken were lovely hosts. We'd highly recommend their Airbnb to anyone coming to New Orleans!

  • April and Ken were such accommodating hosts! We arrived a couple hours earlier than expected and they quickly made sure we had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay, including a bottle of wine and a list of recommended attractions, restaurants, etc. The location was excellent, right in the middle of everything we were planning to see. We felt very safe there. The apartment is beautiful, full of character and charm, and very clean. The pool was a great thing on those hot afternoons! It was so convenient to be able to do a load of laundry in the middle of our 10 day road trip from Wisconsin. Staying here really added to our NOLA experience, it truly was one of our favorite aspects of the trip.

  • April and Ken were very welcoming when I arrived and made sure I had everything I needed. The apartment was perfect, great location, very comfortable and spacious. Both the bed and the shower were exceptional! I would recommend this place to anyone that wanted a great place in a great location in New Orleans.

  • April and Ken made my first AirBnB experience SO awesome!!!! With 3 days notice before my arrival, April answered all of my questions. There was a helpful guide printed and waiting for me-and their place is amazing. This will be my first stop for anytime Im traveling to NOLA. Thanks guys!!

  • We only had a few days in New Orleans, so this was a perfect place to stay -- and a truly lovely apartment. It's walkable to the French Quarter and the Marigny, and make sure you take advantage of the bikes for sharing.

    Toby2017-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great, stress-free time at this apartment! It was very spacious and even better than the pictures. We were left with detailed instructions on how to check in to the apartment, as well as a number of suggestions on places to eat. It was also very conveniently located, and only a 5 or so minutes Uber/Lyft ride into the French Quarter. I would highly recommend this apartment.

    Melody2016-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • April and Ken's place was perfect for our stay in New Orleans. They were great hosts and left a lovely welcome bottle of wine for us. The apartment is very spacious and is close to the French Quarter (either walking or by car). Really great local restaurants and bars close by too!

  • We loved our stay. It's obvious that they care for their tenants.

Our cool and comfortable studio apartment is the perfect little hideaway to retreat to after enjoying this beautiful city. It comfortably fits two and is located in the beautiful Oak lined neighborhood of Carrolton. Just one block from the Carrolton/St.Charles Streetcar line and walking distance to many restaurants/bars.
You have private access to a bottom floor studio apartment. You will have full private access to the whole studio and come and go as you please.
My studio is nestled on the bottom floor of my two story house and I currently occupy the upstairs so I will be available for anything you may need. Located in the beautiful neighborhood of Carrolton, it's far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the CBD and French Quarter, but one block from the Carrolton/St Charles Street car line (20 minute ride on the streetcar to downtown or Napoleon Avenue where all the uptown Mardi Gras parades start). Oak street is a 4 block walk from the apartment where there are a lot of local restaurants and bars including the famous Maple Leaf bar and Jacques-Imo's Creole Restaurant. Just a few more blocks down is the famous diner Camellia Grill and the streetcar can take you directly Downtown/French Quarter and the shopping on Magazine street.
  • Everything was great, clean and quiet. Very private with easy parking in a nice neighborhood. Wonderful!

  • Great spot! Very clean!

  • The studio was perfect! Claire was always easy to reach, and the place was clean, cozy and quiet. She even left out bottled water and bags of chips. It's in a quiet neighborhood close to public transportation and a Walgreens if you need to pick up a few things.

    Matthew2017-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • My dad and I loved staying at Claire's place. Her unit was remarkably clean and located in the beautiful Upper Garden District within walking distance to great coffee shops, bars, and restaurants. Claire was readily available and facilitated an easy check-in. The affordability of this unit is a steal and I will definitely try to stay there again next time I'm in New Orleans. Thanks Claire!!!

    Michael Shane2017-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Please note: we were only in New Orleans for 1 night and used the studio apartment for a quick change before heading downtown and then 4 hours of sleep later before heading to the airport at 3am! Claire was easy to work with and graciously gave us the OK for a 1 nighter on short notice. The studio was very clean and well furnished and had all the amenities you would need for a stay. The neighborhood is quiet and only one block from the trolly so we took advantage and went to the French Quarter while seeing all the old mansions and shops throughout the Garden District along the trolly line. Would definitely stay here again!!

    Steven2018-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • Very kind woman. I did not meet her oddly but her responses were detailed accurate and fast. Very very soft bed and pillows. Tasty snacks. I love NOLA, I'd move there. Safe airbnb. Pretty room design. You'll need to (uber). From MSY to the home was 41$ with Lyft. All the other rides to and from the home to French Quarter, Frenchmen, Dinner, Magazine st. Etc. varies $12-14 .

    Zhane2017-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Claire is an amazing host. Everything we needed was there inside the home. It’s secluded and very cute. We enjoyed it

    Alyssa2018-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Claire's apartment was exactly as described. We were only there for one night, and it was just what we needed. The location was good since it was quiet, but it was also close enough to get where we needed to go. I would absolutely stay here again! Thanks Claire!

Walk to three coffee shops, three yoga studios, shops, many restaurants, and bars right on the eight blocks of Oak St. Take the Steetcar, Uber, Cabs, Bus or rent a bike if you don't wish to have a car.

  • I loved loved this place, small but perfect for a couple. The street is very nice and restaurants close enough to walk. I stayed only one night, I was running away from hurricane Irma but if I ever go back to NOLA this is where I will stay.

  • This studio is super cute and comfortable. It is very small, but very well appointed and the bed is super comfortable. If you are planning on spending a good deal of time exploring NO but want a cozy, modern space to relax in evening and morning I would definitely recommend this one. I enjoyed it very much.

  • Het is klein, maar heeft alles wat je nodig hebt. Het bed en kussen zijn erg slecht. Leuk kamertje maar zou er niet weer slapen vanwege het bed.

  • My boyfriend and I needed a place to stay while visiting my family for festival and the location was great ! The room is great! Nice and clean, very home like feel while it is small but was expected from the pictures and studio set up it was very moveable! Host was nice and there when needed! Just like the pictures, nice area will stay again !! Yes

  • We are so glad to reserve this house. We can find everything we need. The house is really neat and cozy. We can contact the landlord very fast. We can get the transportation within 9 minutes' walk. Very unforgettable experience!

  • Very cute apt on a cool street. Enjoyed this place very much!

    Karen2017-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • September is a wonderful host! The location is great! Oak Street is a gem. We were walking distance to anything we needed and felt very comfortable in the neighborhood. This is a great spot to experience the real Nola! The only problem is parking and that's more on us as tenants. If you book here and have a choice of vehicles...try to limit it to a mid sized sedan. If you're rocking a full size truck you will cause quite the problem.

    Jamin2016-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • The place was great! I loved everything about it until the last day I had a "bug" issue that made me kind of uncomfortable about staying here again. The host was a great! Neighborhood is great. Place has everything you need if you just need a place to crash while you're in town

  • Where do I begin? Let's start with the southern hospitality of Robert and Ernie. They greeted us with a bottle of Red, a bottle of white, and a huge Muffaletta. Ernie was the sweetest, always there each day for us, even did our laundry. Our canopy bed was divine, and I miss it dearly. Nothing quite beats a little party in the hot tub as well. The entire place was gorgeous, and gave us the feeling of a local. The Bywater stole my heart, charming little places to eat, coffee shops, and thrift stores, only down the street. Don't miss Markey's, The Country Club, Bon Castor, Bargan Center, Bacchanal Wine Bar, and Mariza, all within walking distance. Next time I visit, I'll prob just stay. Thanks Robert for the real New Orleans!! Chloe

    Chloe2013-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • Robert was a great host, and his housekeeper Ernie was wonderful. The house is exactly as advertised and is located on a quiet block within walking distance of a number of the neighborhood's restaurants and bars. Finding a parking spot on the block was never an issue. My wife and I hope to stay here again on our next NOLA trip.

    Roy2013-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Grea place in a fantastic and quiet neighborhood. Walking distance to Frenchman street and early bus or uber anywhere else. Loved our stay here. Would absolutely come again.

    Tiffany2016-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Sooooo much for your money!!! We had an awesome stay and would like to thank you for all the hospitality!!!!

    Racheal2014-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place; probably one of the best stays we've ever had. The furnishings, attention to housekeeping and guests' needs (not to mention the lagniappe!) were as good as any five star hotel. You know a place is good when it tempts you away from exploring New Orleans; we found ourselves wanting to come back to the house early just to spend time listening to WWOZ in the parlor or soaking in the jacuzzi tub. One clarification: Though the house has two bedrooms, in order to access the bathroom you must pass through the second bedroom (it's a shotgun house, so there's no hallway.) The space is great for a single couple, but might not afford enough privacy for others (though it's such an amazing place that a group of close friends could make it work. Depends on your comfort level.) Agree with all the other comments about the Bywater, the hospitality of Chef Robert and Ernie, and the fact that next time we're in New Orleans we'll definitely try to stay here.

    Daniel2012-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Really great location! Leslie was incredibly accommodating, and we loved having a clean room to return to after exploring New Orleans each day. He provided snacks, towels, generous toiletries, etc. Very comfortable beds and an amazing bathtub. We did find that we were sometimes woken by dogs barking on either side of the house, but that was the only drawback of this spot that was otherwise lovely and accessible to all of the fun stuff we wanted to do. Leslie also left huge binders of information about local attractions and restaurants, including a hand drawn map.

    Katie2015-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • What a great stay. The house is amazing, exactly what we were looking for ! Feels very, hum what's the word ? New Orleans I guess :-) It's in a perfect location. Ernie greeted us on our arrival and was helpful with everything. Robert came by the day after our arrival to say hello, such a nice touch ! We felt really welcomed and comfortable. Home away from home. We will definitely book the place again if we are in New Orleans.

    Anne2014-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location, a lot of history throughout the house. When we arrived Leslie gave us a full history lesson and a walkthrough of the house. Great hospitality. WiFi was slow for 2 days but picked up again so it was okay. All round great place and great host!

My place is only: 1.7 miles from the Super Dome 3.0 miles from the French Quarters 3.0 miles from the Convention Center. 4 blks from Howie Pizza 5 blks from Xavier University. 6 blks from Save A Lot Grocery 6 blks from Popeyes and Wendy's. 7 blks from Rally's & Cane
The house a true New Orleans shotgun, living room, bedroom, kitchen and bath. However, the house is nice, comfortable and cozy. GREAT place for someone traveling on a BUDGET. Get all the comfort of a hotel and more, a comfortable bed, computer, wifi, mini refrigerator, microwave and a BANG for your BUCK!!
The neighborhood is an old neighborhood whereas many of the neighbors have been living there for years. My family have homes on both sides of the house. There is plenty of parking available, directly in front of the door or across the narrow street or the lot.
  • This place is a great value, is comfortable but very, very basic. My son and i enjoyed our stay there during Jazz Fest.

    Kim2018-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • Very friendly and accessible Host. Place is conveniently located by the city and all the main events. Downside is it wasn’t cleaned properly when we arrived and had to buy new sheets to put on bed because they were not clean. Bathroom was gross, WiFi was a bit poor if both houses were on it. Kitchen sink started leaking on our last day.

    Katlyn2018-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Gregory is a very good host that is very attentive, and provides a lot of good information when you are visiting New Orleans. The place is also great for its value. Although some minor improvements can be done in terms of cleanliness of the bathroom.

    Marco2018-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • Overall it was a positive experience. We were just a little confused because the listing says two bedrooms and two beds but the second bedroom is the living room and it's bed is a pull out couch. The pull out and the normal bed were pretty uncomfortable but nothing crazy. We were a bit shocked at the neighborhood when we showed up. Dirt roads, bars on the windows, and not a clear parking area. It was super close to Bourbon St though so our uber was only about $10 each way which was great. We only stayed one night so we didn't get to mingle with the neighbors or see too much else. I wouldn't mind staying here again being a college student on a budget but once I can afford to spend the extra money, I would probably just stay in a hotel on Bourbon St or a nicer AirBnB.

    Christopher2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Gregory was quick to respond and very helpful. His place was clean, cozy, and just a $10 Uber ride over to The French Quarter. We'll be back!

    Jordan2018-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely apartment! (español abajo). My friend and I came for 3 nights to New Orleans, we are college students so we have the budget quite tight. The apartment is quite big considering the price, and the temperature was perfect (even though it was cold outside) the main bed is very confortable. Wifi works perfectly. Regarding the location, it was a 10$ Uber from the french quarter so it was very near, but the neighborhood is not tourist at all. All the uber drivers were surprise to pick us up in that location. Personally, we did not have any problems at all, even I went to a local restaurant walking, very good one, Dunbar that was a recommendation of Gregory. Gregory was very friendly, he suggested us very good places and he was very flexible with the times and the communication was very easy with him. If I am ever in New Orleans and in a tight budget I will go there again. Precioso apartamento! Personalmente, no tuvimos ningún problema.

    Beatriz2017-12-17T00:00:00Z

  • Very roomy apartment, modern decor, tall windows and clean!! Wish it were a little closer to activities - about 20 minute walk or quick Uber ride.

  • Great place to stay when visiting NOLA. Stylish loft space, just far enough away the madness of the French Quarter. Recommend highly.

    Alan2018-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was stylish and clean. It was amazing. I definitely would stay here again. The apartment has a market downstairs. A couple of days I didn't feel like going out to eat. So I went downstairs and enjoyed a convenient meal. The building was safe which was a plus because I was with my family. I have no complaints.

    Cyrus2018-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home. Very organized and clean. They even had a welcome note and champagne for me and my bridesmaids who were using the room to get ready the morning of my wedding. It was perfect for photos with the floor to ceiling windows and natural light. There was plenty of room in the kitchen for the two makeup artists. The loft area upstairs is super cute, and i was able to hang my dress and SUPER long veil up there over the balcony to get the wrinkles out. Videographers, Photographer and hair stylist were all easily able to move around and capture what they needed without being cramped with 8 bridesmaids and My mom and a young lady I hired to document on my (Hidden by Airbnb) stories. The beds were very low, but nice.

    Fallon2017-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place to stay!! Cute market with lots of food and drink options are located around the corner from the condo. Within walking distance to main attractions or a short Lyft/Uber ride away. It was extremely easy to check in and out and we felt very safe in the building. We’d stay here again if we come back!

The house is a ten minute walk to the French Quarter and is just a block away from the St. Claude streetcar line.
  • Lauren's place is a gem. Impeccably designed and in a really convenient location. Her home embodies the New Orleans spirit and is as warm, welcoming, and quirky as the city itself. Don't even bother looking at other places to stay.

  • Unfortunately I had some health issues come up and was unable to travel, so I didn’t get to stay at Lauren’s place. But she was incredibly kind and understanding. Even though I didn’t get to stay there, Lauren made my experience a great one!

  • Lauren’s place was wonderful! Very unique, cozy, and fun. I’ve stayed at another place in New Orleans, but would love to return to Lauren’s next time I️ visit rather than try a new place.

    Hayleigh2017-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Lauren's place was by far the best value one can find in NOLA. Traditional shotgun house style, an easy walk to Frenchman Street and the French Quarter. And a $10 uber ride to anywhere you would want to go in the city. Original artwork and classic NOLA decor give a truly comfortable and authentic ambiance to this home. We felt safe and secure with the lock system on the house and the even the car on the street. And nothing but praise for Lauren. Highly accommodating with our multiple requests and scheduling needs. There are Airbnbs that you go to that you never want to return to. This is one that we will. Every time we come back to NOLA. And we can't wait to return.

Gretna is an historic neighborhood scattered with the iconic shotguns New Orleans is known for. Also known as the West Bank, within 10 min from my home you have an abundance of options for restaurants to choose from and just a short jaunt over the bridge and your in downtown.
  • Beautiful place and quiet neighborhood. I wish we had more time to explore Gretna!

  • The location of Daniel’s was perfect! Safe and conveniently located near downtown. Daniel’s was very clean and comfortable.

  • Daniel's place at Jasmine Falls was a wonderful, and I mean wonderful place to stay at during my short visit. I am currently road tripping from Philadelphia before I head back into the classroom for the start of the new school year. New Orleans is a place I've visited before, but wanted to come back. Daniel's place was so convenient . A short Uber ride (about 9-10 bucks depending on time of day), and you're in downtown. The guest suite itself was a labor of love. Daniel really put hard work into the guest suite I can tell. The bed was comfortable and cozy. I love the bathtub shower. He had the mini-fridge, which was good to store my water. A roku tv was nice as well. His whole place was clean and pleasing to the eye. His communication was prompt. I didn't get a chance to meet him face to face, but could tell he seems like a wonderful person. I definitely would recommend especially because of the location. You're not downtown, but not far away either. I would book his place again (and probably the only place) next time I go down to New Orleans!

    Edwin2018-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Daniel’s place was amazing! We stayed for one night due to extending our trip but we wish that we would’ve stayed with him the entire time. The space was so cute, clean, and the pictures don’t do it justice for just how nice it is. Daniel’s hard work he’s put into the place clearly shows and anyone who stays here will get to enjoy how genuinely nice he is as well as the space. We’ll most definitely be staying again!

    Gillian2018-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • Nice & comfortable place. We asked for an air mattress and Danny provided one. Good location. Danny suggested the ferry. It is a short distance from his place and there is free parking in the area. $2 to get on and it leaves you by Harrah’s casino. Very convenient. Overall, I think it was a good value. Danny is friendly and provides a quick response to any questions.

  • The private house was great. The bed was big and cozy. The bathtub was nice and big. Nice refrigerator and amenities. Everything was spacious, nice and beautifully decorated. I would definitely stay here again and the price was right. It was perfect.

With 12-foot ceilings running throughout, my home has an airy, open feeling steeped in 1900's charm. The home is ideal for travelers looking to get into all of the fun New Orleans has to offer with an elegant touch. Conveniently located within blocks of the Convention Center, Central Business District, French Quarter and Magazine Street shopping. With the street car only a couple blocks away, it's perfectly situated for site-seeing. [STR License #17STR-13058]
From front to back, my shotgun home has a unique flare of classic New Orleans style drenched in rich color and texture. This space is an oasis from the bustling city. It's perfect for afternoon napping or movies. This home was built in 1898 so there are also fireplaces in each room adding a taste of true culture and charm to each setting.
The Lower Garden District has a rich and varied architectural character that reflects over a century of development.  Coliseum Square is a three block long oak-lined city park in the center of the District, and is only one block from my home.
  • I really enjoyed my time in Laura's place. The location is quiet and in a residential neighborhood, but it's still close to the streetcar and a few restaurants. The apartment is beautifully furnished with vintage furnishings. Laura left great tips about places to eat and drink. The only issue I had is that there was freezing weather while I was there, and the heat doesn't work very well in all of the rooms (the bedroom, however, gets toasty warm).

    Anna2018-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great trip to NOLA and stay at Laura's place. She communicated quickly and made the logistics a snap. Her place is stylish, well-located, and very comfortable - I look forward to another trip back and would definitely stay here again.

  • We had a wonderful visit. The house was beautiful, clean, and comfortable and within walking distance of many great restaurants. Laura was a friendly and responsive host and made us feel welcome. We wish we could have stayed longer!

  • Laura was a lovely host and the apartment wonderful. It's quite large, elegantly decorated and in a perfect location close to St Charles Ave (streetcar) and between the touristy French Quarter and beautiful Garden District. Highly recommended for any trip to New Orleans!

Half double conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood in the Gentilly area. Only 3 miles from the French Quarter, Superdome, and downtown New Orleans.
Newly built home (June 2016) with two private bedrooms and two private bathrooms. Outdoor deck and grill in back. With private driveway for off-street parking.
The neighborhood is very quiet and conveniently located only 2 miles from Bourbon Street, 3 miles from the Superdome, and centrally located to pretty much any other area of the city.
  • Generously slized half of Donnel's house. The place has parking and access to the deck in the backyard as well. Aircon was on the fritz but Donnell put in spares and promised to have the central one fixed.

    Gerrit2018-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean house. Host is super nice and is easy to contact. If you are wanting to go to Bourbon it is about a 7 minute or so drive, which is not bad at all. House slept 4 people easily. 5 stars, I would book here again.

  • This house is fairly new and is absolutely gorgeous . It is in a great location from the French Quarter and Burbon St. The owner is very kinda and response back in a timely manner. Great place to stay if your looking for a friendly neighborhood and place close to everything.

  • Donnell's place is everything and then some. Clean with great amenities and close enough to take a cheap car to most any of the nightlife and events. It feels like home- cooking and comfy beds make it a perfect stay. Donnell is an awesome host- don't miss the chance to meet him and swap stories. He's so hospitable and will give you all the best places to go. I wish I could give this more than 5 stars, we never expected such a great stay.

    Dominique2018-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I really enjoyed our stay here. The home is newer/updated and just as described. It's close enough to easily get to and from any sight you'd like to visit, but far enough where you're not bombarded with the craziness of Canal/Bourbon/Frenchmen streets. Donnell, as a host, was great. He was very accommodating and attentive to our needs, allowing a portion of our group to check in a little earlier. He also suggested a few things to do while in town. Though we only ever got a chance to speak in passing, he definitely made us feel at home with his courteous gestures and warm smile.

    Akia2018-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • It's a great comfy house that is close enough to all the local hot spots that driving or Ubering is a valid option. Donnell is a great and communicative host that really makes you feel at home.

My place is close to Magazine Street Irish Channel, Garden District, Shops, Coffee, Shopping, French Quarter. You’ll love my place because of the location, the ambiance, the outdoors space, and the neighborhood. A/C, wifi, private porch in back of unit with table, chairs umbrella. Great location to park your car and either walk to the public transport, shop and visit the restaurants, bars of Magazine Street. Can be cozy for a couple or sleep up to 5 people.
2 Bedroom unit is typical "Shotgun" style house. You enter living room, and go through 2 bedrooms to get to kitchen and bathroom and back exit to porch. The furniture is new, with a double bed in main bedroom, a double with a single on top in 2nd bedroom and a sofa sleeper in living room. Bathrooms are new and have great hot water pressure. The privacy of the back porch makes this a great hang out to get your game on before going out to hit the town. Kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, pots and pans- and we have a list of great cheap eats. Games and TV provided
Awesome! Just 2 blocks off Magazine Street- where all the college kids go to visit bars, exclusive shopping in boutiques and great coffee shops and eateries abound. You can bike ride or take public transport to French Quarter and local Uber gets you there faster- we provide a discount driver too

  • Communication was lacking. Im use to the host reaching out the day prior to check in or even the morning of and giving me directive but I never received an email. I had to reach out myself which made me nervous because I was thinking what if they don't respond but luckily everything worked out well. I never met the host but when I emailed Leonor did respond with clear information and the response was always pleasant. The home is cozy and cute. Check in was easy. Magazine st is very close with tons of places to eat and cute boutiques. Theres a bus literally on the next block which we took to canal st a few times instead of taking an uber or lyft. Which was a affordable way to get to burbon as it is near canal. The light in the bathroom went out during the stay.. which was whatever.. stuff happens.. lol It wasnt a big deal for us as we checked out the next day. I have no compliants about the home and I would recommend.

    Hudeie2018-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, close to loads of amazing pubs and restaurants. Very short uber or public transport ride to the French quarter. Nice clean place and the host let us check out late. Will definitely stay here again.

This trendy little mother-in-law suite is perfect for one to three guests to enjoy. Fully stocked with dishes, condiments, linens, toiletries and a pull-out couch. Also has a washer/dryer and a nice back patio with a swing, bar and grill. Located right off the interstate and, literally, close to everything!
A new remodel with a modern and industrial flair. What was once a garage is now a beautiful, 400 sq ft, 1 bedroom living space with a washer/dryer, all amenities, toiletries, towels/linens, 2 Smart TVs (1 Roku & 1 FireTV Stick). There is a pull-out couch but it was recently slightly broken by a guest, so a couple of the springs are out until I can buy a new one. (It’s still functional though!) Living room is open to kitchen with island and seating for 2. It is a non-smoking and pet-free space. Personal AC/heat unit with electric fireplace and space heater. Access directly to back patio with table, chairs, lounge chairs, Mosquito candles and ash-trays. This is a mother-in-law suite in the back yard of a small home. It has it’s own private entrance and driveway, so the back patio and yard are shared (if needed) but usually guests never cross paths. Yard has a huge Magnolia tree with bench swing. Extra parking on quiet street is available - if needed - as are 2-3 driveway parking spaces (depending on other guest house’s parking needs). Fenced yard, propane BBQ grill, outdoor bar & furniture. All amenities, toiletries, linens/towels & food included for use. WiFi and Kentwood water machine. Pull-out couch and Queen bed. Enough room for air mattress. Shower/tub in bathroom with a washer/dryer stack. Fully-stocked kitchen with dishwasher. Plenty of extra pillows, blankets and comforters are available in closet. * Please Note: Guests are expected to prepare the space for the next guest by taking care of their own linens/towels, trash and dishes before they check out. This keeps the rate very low for this space, as well as an extremely low “cleaning fee” (which goes into paying for all products and toiletries that are available). Most guests here are 1-3 nights on average, so the price reflects how easily maintainable the space is for the value.
Great neighborhood with great (but not nosy!) neighbors. Right off the interstate 1-10 so easily accessible transport that is barely 10-15mins to any part of town! 10 min to the Quarter and only 6 mins to Mid City where you can access the Canal Street streetcar.
  • Good short term stay. Friendly host.

  • The perfect NOLA getaway!

    Kathryn2018-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Be aware that this AirBnb is next to a main service road and freeway - not an issue with the listing or owner. In my experience, this is a great location to immediately access the main freeway but a huge downside if you want peace and quiet from your busy day of work. Maybe these are not problems for vacationers that want to stay out all day and night, but for those that work and need peace through the evening - look elsewhere.

    Brian2017-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • I enjoyed my stay! It's very cozy and in a great neighborhood! No one cleaned up between my stay and the people who stayed before me, so I washed their towels and sheets and scrubbed the black off the bottom of the tub. There is only a fabric shower curtain, which is even more prone to mold and mildew. The smell was off putting, but the rest of the place is exquisite!!

    Kirstie2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • You live & learn that you get what you pay for some times! I was looking to stay in a home instead of a hotel I chose wrong this time. This place would of been a great stay but I had issues with its cleanliness & the noise from the interstate so close.

    Rene2017-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I had a nice time at Ashley's. This place is adorable! We loved the outdoor swing. It was only a short distance by Uber to downtown. The place was nicely stocked with amenities. All in all we had a nice trip.

Our biggest bedroom features a beautiful antique cypress Queen size bed and lots of plush pillows for cuddling. A book lover's dream, with a 60" TV, mini fridge, large private marble bathroom and private balcony.
Located in the heart of the Garden District, the Parks-Bowman Mansion is a classic example of the good life in New Orleans. Shaded by palm trees and a live oak, the deep porches on all three levels tempt you to rest and relax. The soaring center hall leads visitors to a carved cypress staircase ascending to the very top of the house, lit by stained-glass windows and massive chandeliers. There’s a music room, a formal dining room, a “ladies parlor,” and a fully appointed kitchen where you can enjoy a complimentary cup of coffee in the morning. Outside, a lovely garden surrounds a back porch for lounging and a full size lap-pool. There are three rooms available. This listing is for the Library. Please look for our other listings: the Red Room and the Haunted Bedroom. The Library features a Queen size antique cypress bed and a private shower with travertine marble and hand-held spray. The second floor porch with seating is right outside. The Library has its own wide-screen TV and all rooms have internet access and mini fridges. The Library is close to the Red Room and makes a great double-booking. Our dogs (Moxie and Loebie) look forward to greeting you at the front gate, and while you may not see our two cats (they mostly stay in our portion of the house) sometimes they sneak out for a visit. Our house is furnished with our extensive art collection, which we’ve acquired in over thirty-five years of travel. Oh, and a little bit about us: Adrienne Parks-Bowman is a novelist and screen-writer, and Bill Bowman is a documentary film-maker, music producer, and web designer. We can’t wait to share our house with you, and introduce you to the city we know and love so well. We’re right near Lafayette Cemetery, Commander’s Palace, the St. Charles Avenue streetcar line, and the shopping and dining pleasures of Magazine Street. There’s plenty of secure parking on our quiet street, and if you come for Mardi Gras, you’ll be just steps away from the parades! Come visit us and make us your home-away-from-home in New Orleans!
The Garden District feels like a small town, located in the very middle of New Orleans. You're close to the French Quarter, the Museum District, and the Bywater, as well as Audubon Park, the Zoo, City Park, and highways, if you want to take a jaunt to the countryside for plantation or swamp tours. The Garden District itself is justly famous for its stately mansions, lush landscaping, and Lafayette Cemetery (open for tours), and Magazine Street and its restaurants and shops is only two blocks away!
  • I stayed here on Super Bowl Sunday. Adrienne was very responsive and flexible on getting things set up. The house is great. A beautiful place with lots of character, great woodwork, etc. I stayed in the Library which has it's own bathroom. Everything was neat and clean. The location of their place is attractive as well. In between Magazine and St. Charles so you have two nice areas to walk, eat, shop etc. Also close to the street car lines to head downtown. Though a bit of a walk, I walked to and from the Super Dome and French Quarter - once on St. Charles and once on Magazine - and enjoyed the walk - probably a 30 minute+ walk. If you want fine dining, they are right near Commander's Palace too... Adrienne and Bill were fun to talk with and were the perfect mix of being accommodating and helpful while respecting privacy. They had cake and coffee available in the morning. Friendly dogs too. Next time I come to New Orleans, I hope they'll have room for me again...

  • Parks Bowman is an amazing experience. Bill and Adrienne do everything they can to make you feel at home. We extended our stay from 1 to 3 nights. I'm sure you'll do the same.

  • My husband and I loved our stay at the Parks-Bowman Mansion. The house is incredible and you instantly feel immersed in New Orleans culture. The Library was so unique and interesting, and we had plenty of privacy with an attached bathroom. We even took an evening swim in the pool. Our favorite part was drinking coffee on the front porch and chatting with Adrienne and Bill for the better part of two hours. They were the best hosts! And their two lovable dogs were an added bonus. We would absolutely stay here again.

    Kaitlyn2015-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great location in the heart of the Garden District, in a historic New Orleans mansion. Adrienne and Bill are wonderful and friendly hosts with a rich knowledge of the city and its history!

  • Lovely. I lived in New Orleans for +20 years and this is such a beautiful way to come back and visit. Wonderful host, perfect location and an absolutely amazing home. Thank you thank you Adrienne. Will probably see you again soon :)

  • Adrienne was very attentive to my arrival, showed me through house, what was available to me, and then to my room. A wonderful supply of local info is at entryway table for all to enjoy. Hosts are interesting people and are every bit as engaging as the city itself. A wonderful way to experience the Garden District and perfect location as a base to explore all neighborhoods of NOLA. Highly recommend staying here if you like a place and hosts with character, history, and grace

    Barb2016-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Adrienne was amazing. She was super welcoming, had a guide to the city laid out, and could not have been more accommodating. We found out that she had a pool and she had towels laid out for us for a late swim. She and her husband are super welcoming and could not be better hosts. They sought out music shows for us to attend and gave restaurant recommendations. I can't wait to go back.

    Daniel2016-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Adrienne was a wonderful host. Their house is beautiful, decorative, and it's at the heart of the Garden District, two blocks from the Commanders Palace or the magazine street. And the history of the house is just amazing! She was very responsive to any inquiries I had before arriving and she was very helpful recommending places that we should visit. I would definite stay at her place again!

Private guest suite in a beautiful, historic, and newly renovated home. This charming suite comes with a sitting area, kitchenette, dining/working table, private bath, and bedroom with a comfortable queen size bed. This is not a shared space. Have a peaceful retreat in Holy Cross, a quiet neighborhood located just 15 minutes from the French Quarter by car. We're four blocks away from the Mississippi River and the best sunset views in the city!
The guest suite is a bright and cheery place, full of natural light and located in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood. It's the ideal place to have a little retreat, or to relax and recharge before a night out on the town. The suite is located at the front of the house with a private entrance (the front door), so you can come and go as you please. You will share a wall with my living area, but you will not have access to my portion of the house, and vice versa. You may hear the muffled sounds of me, my boyfriend Matt, and my dog Harley bopping around from time to time. The guest bathroom shares a wall with my bedroom, so please be considerate of sound in the bathroom from 11pm to 7am, and if possible, avoid late night showers. The guest bedroom is tucked away from the rest of the house, so not much sound travels in or out, and it feels private and secluded. Feel free to help yourself to anything in the suite! This includes coffee, tea, granola bars, and oatmeal. Whatever you don't use will be provided for the guests who stay after you, so please don't take more than what you use during your stay - a snack for the road is fine to take, though! Some bottled water is provided, but water from the bathroom sink is also safe to drink. There is plenty of storage space for your things, including a closet in the bedroom with hangers, two nightstands with empty drawers, and a medicine cabinet and vanity in the bathroom. The bedroom has a full-length mirror behind the door so you can make sure that your outfit is on point before leaving the house, and there are earplugs and a white noise machine for restless sleepers.
Holy Cross is a beautiful, peaceful, and historic neighborhood located in the Lower 9th Ward. It's only a 10 to 15 minute drive from the French Quarter, and 20 to 30 minutes from the Garden District. This neighborhood strikes a balance between the feeling of country and city. Many locals live if here because they want a quieter experience of the city. The levee that overlooks the Mississippi River is just four blocks away. You can walk or run the levee for a few miles in either direction and enjoy beautiful views of downtown New Orleans, passing cargo ships and steamboats. It's really something else. Holy Cross is located in the Lower Ninth Ward, which is one of the areas that was most effected by Katrina. As a result, the neighborhood is still being rebuilt. Like many places in New Orleans, you will see newly renovated homes sitting side-by-side with abandoned buildings. This doesn't reflect on the character of the neighborhood, or the awesome people who live in it!
  • Great host, very friendly, clean house, cute decor and peaceful.

    Nicole2017-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Lauren was a wonderful host. She was willing to share her insights of New Orleans. She is very respectful of her visitor’s space. I would definitely return to her Air BnB.

  • Lauren is a brilliant host, and I am absolutely in love with her home! The space was bright and clean, and the neighborhood was quiet and a very easy, comfortable drive from anywhere in New Orleans we had to be. As a first Airbnb experience, we couldn't be more pleased. <3

  • Lauren is a very good host and very accommodating. The suite is very comfortable and very well decorated. About $10-$12 uber ride to the French Quarter.

  • Beautiful suite in an awesome neighborhood. It is located in a quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors. We walked the short distance to the Mississippi River for the sunset and it did not disappoint! Ride sharing is an easy way to get around - lift usually only charged $11-$18 dollars to get to the quarters and bourbon street. I definitely highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be back!

Come relax in a large master bedroom with your own private bath. Enjoy garage parking, a pool, and a swanky bar area in the home. Quiet & safe neighborhood away from the hub, yet is only a fifteen minute drive to the main city. $10-$12 Uber to the French Quarter. FYI: the city’s public transportation is mediocre. License Number: 17STR-21936
Enjoy your own huge private master bedroom and bathroom. Shared space for the kitchen, den/bar area, pool, and laundry room, all of which you are welcome to use!
The house is just outside the heart of the city, but there are great historic old bars nearby. Theres a great New Orleans restaurant DiMartinos, a Winn Dixie, and a bus stop that goes into the city within walking distance. There's also a mediocre Mexican restaurant within walking distance, big portions and decent food. Also $2.99 margaritas during happy hour woo woo!!
  • We felt like it was our home, easy to get to, nice safe neighborhood, Julie was a wonderful host.

  • A first class air BnB experience with a generous and friendly host. Our room was beautiful and spacious with good access to kitchen and eating areas. Julie is one A*host!

  • Great place to stay if your looking to explore the amazing city of New Orleans. It's a short drive or Uber trip to the city and it's a beautiful place to stay. Julie was very welcoming and accommodating!

    Alexa2017-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • This was a fantastic stay for 3 nights at Julie's place. She is a very easy going and helpful hostess. She even drove us to the airport which saved us a lot of money! We especially enjoyed the privacy and access to the pool from the bedroom. It was fun to take the ferry at Algiers Point one day, otherwise Uber was the way to go to get to New Orleans downtown. Thank you Julie :-)

  • Outstanding she had great toiletries (bodywash, lotion etc) very accommodating and understanding.

  • Amazing house and great host ! The day we arrived Julie offered to take me to the St Patrick's day parade with some of her friends and I had an great time with the locals and received many travel tips from them. Both my boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay, and the house is fantastic, very clean and cozy, and the bed is incredibly comfortable. July recommended us great places to eat as well as live music bars. The house is a little bit outside of the city center, but you can reach it by bus in 30min or with a quick uber ride, and the neighborhood is very peaceful and quiet, great for a relaxing holiday. I would definitely recommend this Airbnb !

    Philippine2017-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Julie was incredibly accommodating; she offered to give us a ride when we were in a tight spot and an earlier check in. It really felt like spending the night at a friend's house...we sat, chatted and instantly connected. :) The room is so spacious (!!), smelled lovely, and had the softest bed I've ever slept on. The rest of the house is adorable as well. Even though it's farther out it's well worth it for a serene night of sleep and is still close to the bus. Plus, Julie is awesome.

    Jess2017-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic place. Without a doubt one of the best Airbnbs I've ever stayed at - will definitely be back. 10 mins from public transport to town center ($3 for a 24h pass), 5 mins from restaurants and shops - beautiful area. 15 mins from downtown and 30 mins from airport by car.

Our Mid-City private unit is 1 block off Canal St and the street car, walking distance to City Park and several other amazing local neighborhood bars and restaurants. A 5-10 minute drive to downtown & FQ or walk a block to the streetcar stop Some notable amenities-Full kitchen, central air/heat, WiFi, LCD television & Cable, Washer/dryer, full bath. Living amenities: Queen bed, futon, linens, towels & washcloths, pots/pans & dishes and basic necessities like toilet paper and paper towels.
Completely renovated half of a "shotgun double" (essentially a duplex for those not familiar with New Orleans), about 650 sq/ft. Our home was built in the early part of the 20th century (c. 1906). Through our renovation, we took extensive measures to maintain the historic nature of our home and fuse with modern conveniences.
Mid City is a great part of town to spend your time in New Orleans because it's roughly a 10 minute drive to just about any tourist attraction you might enjoy (e.g. in the French Quarter, CBD or Uptown). It's a peaceful and quiet neighborhood, and also has some of the best places to eat and visit for entertainment in the city. There's always street parking in front of or near our house if you bring your car, which is safe to leave and there is no cost for parking.
  • Excellent stay. Very comfortable stay for a party of two. Quiet neighborhood, but very close to city gems. Highly recommended.

  • Glenn was a great host! Love the location, super close to Bourbon street and the street cars are a walk away. The area is lovely and residential, don’t let the outside of the houses/ neighborhood fool you. The location is safe and inside of the unit make you feel right at home, highly recommend! We had a pleasant experience in New Orleans and enjoyed our little getaway from Boston.

    Celicia2018-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Seriously had the best experience with my first AirBnb reservation!! I have zero complaints, the place was beyond perfect and so clean! I even showed up 30 minutes before check-in and they acted like it was no big deal at all. I will absolutely use them again for any future events that I have in New Orleans, thank you so much for such a great experience I hope all my future AirBnb's hold up to these new expectations of mine!!

    Crystal2018-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • Glenn and Claire are such wonderful hosts. They are prompt with responses, and truly helped make our honeymoon special! They were knowledgeable about local restaurants and had some great suggestions ready for is when we arrived. The kitchen and bathroom were immaculate. The bed was extremely comfortable. The neighborhood was right off of a main New Orleans street, and the French Quarter was readily accessible by Uber and streetcar. We really called it "home" for the duration of our stay. We didn't want to go home! My husband and I would stay there again in a heartbeat. You would be amiss not to stay here when you visit New Orleans!

    Brenna2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous place for two or even a family of three or four. Perfect location. Close to streetcar, restaurants, the cemeteries, and citypark and noma. Very nicely renovated. Clean and bright. Thoughtful hosts. Perfect

    Elise2018-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • This location was perfect! Just two blocks from the Canal street trolley, we bought three day passes to use. Glenn left us a list of tips and suggestions that was very helpful. We were a twenty minute trolley ride to the French Quarter. Close enough to get to easily, but far enough that it was quiet when we got back. A quiet, friendly neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again.

    Pamela2017-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first time staying at airbnb. The place is very spacious and comfortable. It's a separate unit so you have enough privacy. It's conveniently located in the residential neighborhood very close to the city park and street cars. It was clean and was equipped with towels and toiletries as well as coffee and tea. TV in each room and wifi was provided also. Great experience overall.

    Irina2017-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • The place looks just like the pics. Lighting and appliances were all update and all the electrical outlets worked . Location is super. I was able to easily walk to full service groceries (Winn Dixie) and great seafood at Bevi's. Mick's , a cool neighborhood joint ,is about 250 away.

Why rent a room when you can rent a tiny house for your trip to New Orleans. This 650 sq ft home is just steps away from the French Quarter. Everything from Bourbon Street, Frenchmen Street, streetcar, bikeshare, and the Central Business District are all just a short stroll away. Private entrance through luscious garden. Perfect for a couple or a couple of friends. Cleaning free is included in nightly rate so there are no extra hidden fees with this listing. (City License: 18STR-15360)
Our guesthouse is located in the rear of our property. Estimated to have been built in 1837 (the same date as the main house), this space has gone through a total transformation. A mix of modern and old New Orleans bundled into a small house. There are 8 sets of French doors, and 4 sets of casement windows, allowing for the space to be drenched in natural light. When the weather is nice and a cool breeze is blowing, there is nothing better than opening all the doors and windows so you can take in all the sounds the neighborhood has to offer. Downstairs is an open living room and kitchen area with a complete 4 piece kitchen suite (full sized fridge stocked with bottled water and a Keurig with coffee), and a moveable island. There is also a flat screen TV with DVR, HBO (so you don't have to worry about missing Game of Thrones), Netflix and Amazon Prime. Netflix and Prime are already logged in for you to use. A spiral staircase leads you upstairs where there is a king sized bed, walk-in closet, a spacious bathroom, and 12 foot ceilings with exposed beams. Want to lounge outside? Hang out in the shared courtyard or if you prefer privacy there is a private patio behind the guesthouse. Parties over 2 persons will not be considered and will be turned away upon arrival. Parking is street parking which is unrestricted and free to all. Cleaning fee is included in the nightly rate so there is no extra hidden fees when staying with us. (City License: 18STR-15360)
The Treme is a wonderful and unique neighborhood unlike any other in the United States. St. Augustine Church is on the corner, which leads to many Jazz Funerals and Second Lines. The church also has an amazing Sunday Mass that is open to the public. As a younger nephew noted, "It's not really Sunday Mass, it's a concert!" Mardi Gras Indians regularly wander the neighborhood, as well as brass bands, musicians, and a pair of cowboys who are always walking their llamas, Shetland ponies, and goats. There is always something going on and the people in the neighborhood are friendly and talkative. You can learn just as much about New Orleans from the folks on the street in the Treme as you could with a tour guide charging you an arm and a leg to walk around the Quarter.
  • extremely accommodating. great clean place. amazing location.

  • We had a great time in New Orleans. Brad and Bret are very helpful hosts and their house is a nice and quiet place, perfectly located for walks in Marigny, Treme and the French Quarter. We look forward to come back some time.

    Kerstin2017-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Brad's place is located a short walking distance from the French Quarter. It is a very comfortable guest house with a nice bed, equipped kitchen, and cute backyard. Brad and Brett were fantastic hosts and very accomodating. Highly recommended!

    Erin2017-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Bret was a great host and I feel I have made a friend. He was always available to answer questions. I had so much information about New Orleans before I arrived and Bret reviewed it and gave me his opinion of the best places to go. As a result we had a amazing trip, great food and I look forward to coming back to New Orleans for another visit. The Guest house was immaculate and had everything we needed. Small kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, oven, and microwave. Lots of towels in the bathroom and a very spacious closet. The bed was really comfortable to sleep in. The courtyard was an unexpected oasis and we spent some time outSide enjoying the beautiful plants and a nice glass of wine. Bret made himself available to us whenever we needed and I can see why he is rated as a “super host“. I would definitely recommend this home.

    Stacey2018-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Brad's place is wonderful. If you're looking for a peaceful, secluded stay within walking distance of the French Quarter and many restaurants, look no further. Communication was great and Brad provided us with many recommendations. Just wish we could have stayed longer.

    Mariko2017-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • This place is absolutely perfect! It's so quiet, clean, and completely adorable. Brad and Bret were both incredible hosts; they were in contact with us leading up to our stay and it was super easy to arrange check in/out. We had an interesting arrival due to some bad weather and Brad was in contact with us the entire time and was incredibly helpful. The guesthouse itself is secluded and quiet, but such a short walk to bars, restaurants, and the quarter. Anything not in walking distance was a quick uber or lyft ride away. The fridge was stocked with cold water which was so nice after walking around in the heat all day. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer!

    Julia2017-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great spot to stay in NOLA. Treme is a great old neighborhood and it was easy to walk to the French Quarter as well as a great cocktail bar, Bar Tonique. Also easy to get Uber/Lyft all over town. Loved the decor in the house too, really well done.

    Kim2017-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • What a warm wonderful Treme and Nola welcome from our hosts. It was a great choice and so close to great restaurants and music. A perfect location with wonderful neighbors we met while there.

  • We had an absolutely lovely time at Shannon and Jan's gorgeous place! Perfect location, as we are most familiar with Treme and the 7th Ward, super friendly neighborhood. Everything was remarkably clean and bright upon our arrival and we wish we could have stayed longer! Very comfy furniture and awesome, unique decorations - and those high ceilings, my gosh! - made it hard to leave the house, but when we did it never took long to get anywhere, we were so central. We would definitely stay here each visit. Thanks so much!!

    Kara2016-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • I liked the simplicity of the shotgun style home. The place had everything one would need to experience New Orleans. Jo was helpful and provided info on the area. Had no issues parking on the street. Said hello to the neighbors, they asked how do you like New Orleans? I like to walk and got 6 miles in on one day. Nice to come home to air conditioning

    Jerry2017-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Jo & Tyler’s place is beautiful and perfectly located. It’s very light and spacious! The neighborhood first felt a little scary and sketchy, but soon enough we realized how safe and friendly it was! We had nice evening walks around the block. However if you want a good night of sleep...the walls are paper thin. And if you’re lucky like us you’ll hear your neighbors in the early morning having a nice deep long conversation ;) (.....yeah pretty awkward)

    Peter2017-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Jo's place was very nice. Never saw Jo in person, but she was very responsive on the messenger app. The space was great. Really enjoyed the record player. Walkable to the French quarter, but it's a bit of a haul. Neighbors were all super friendly! Thanks Jo!

    Logan2017-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great communication with hosts and clean and beautiful home within walking distance to French Quarter and plenty of restaurants and bars.

    Matthew2017-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • I enjoyed staying here. I was here for a week and walked down Esplanade almost every day to Frenchman Street or the French Quarter. It has great natural light and some great plants. Comfortable and pretty cool!

    Rachel2017-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • It was a pretty good spot for a couple days

    Ellen2018-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed this place because it was walkable from the French Quarter (about 20 minutes), fairly central, and roomy and bright. When disaster struck -- we lost our key the evening before we were to leave, Jo/Tyler were both very responsive and very gracious about the mishap. We also enjoyed the Treme neighborhood with the "double shotgun" architectural style.

Gorgeous third story 1 bedroom/ 1 bath condo with full kitchen/ living/ laundry. Exposed brick walls and antique pine wood flooring. Huge windows offers great city views. Walking distance to all the fun but far enough to ensure a good nights sleep :)
This is a one bedroom, one bath condo in the heart of the French Quarter. Beautiful windows over look one of the busiest streets in the french quarter. Only 3 blocks from bourbon, and two blocks from canal. Full kitchen and laundry in the condo. There is one queen bed, and one high quality air mattress with foundation that can be set up to accompany 2 more quests.
I am located on one of the more quiet streets in the quarter, however, I am very close to the action. I am two blocks from the Mighty Mississippi River, and two blocks from Bourbon Street. I am close to the Shoppes at Canal which includes many high end retailers, including Saks Fifth Ave. And a short walk away from The Aquarium of America.
  • This place is all about location, location, location! Perfectly located walking distance to everything you want to see in the city and a few blocks from Bourbon Street so not too noisy. Our host was easy to get in touch with and provided great recommendations for our first time here. I would recommend this spot for anyone looking to stay in the French Quarter.

Our house is a calm and beautiful ride along the Mississippi 1.5 miles to the French Quarter down beautiful South Peters Ave. Commonly sought after attractions within 1.5 miles of our house are: Bourbon Street, Frenchmen Street, French Quarter, Louis Armstrong Park, French Market, Spotted Cat, Cafe Negril, Blue Nile, The Maison, Apple Barrel, Coop's Place, Mardi Gras Zone, Mimi's in the Marigny, All Ways Lounge, and the Bywater, Marigny, 7th Ward, and Treme neighborhoods.
  • My friend and I stayed with Andrew, our third trip to NOLA. We loved the little zine we got upon arrival with suggestions and tips for our stay. The room was very cute and comfortable. We loved the attention to detail! The rest of the house was also great, two bathrooms meant we never needed to wait, and we made good use of the kitchen. I never got a chance to meet Andrew but he was very easy to communicate with!

    Kristen2014-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew was very good about getting in touch with us before we arrived and answering any last minute questions. We wanted to check in early and after Andrew said it was ok for us to drop off our things at the house we bumped into the house cleaners. They were very accommodating and placed our things in the room after they were done cleaning. Everything was accurate according to what Andrew advertised. The room was just like the picture on the sight and everything was very clean. The only concern I really had was that the bikes are not that well maintained and are not nearly as nice as a $250 penalty for losing them would have you believe. Perhaps it is just a way to get you to make sure you lock up the bikes. Anyway, loved the area and it is definitely a short ride to the French Quarter. We had a great two days in the Crescent City in part because of stay at the Home of Sweet Dreams.

    Daniel2014-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place to stay. The zine and bikes were super helpful! Great location for biking around the city and a more quiet vibe at night.

    Jaydra2015-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Our experience was great. We never ran into Andrew, but he was readily available by text and replied easily to our request to check out after 11 am. I chose this place because I was interested in staying in the Bywater and, having lived in New Orleans 10 years ago, knew I would rely on bikes to get around. Neither disappointed: we were out on bikes all day every day (I recommend this--you can ride downtown, and uptown if feeling adventurous or catch the street car at Canal, AND it is way more efficient, weather permitting, than car or taxi). Andrew even had a charming little house guide with local places to eat, etc., and staying in the Bywater gives you a great introduction to the laid back local color of NOLA. One drawback: if you are in close quarters with the other house guests. If you are a light sleeper, and if they use the bathroom often for example or are particularly chatty, you may be disrupted from noise in the hall. This was find for me but disturbed my partner's sleep. Thanks again, Andrew!

Across the Mississippi River from the convention center, the cruise terminal, the Superdome, the Arena, downtown New Orleans and the French Quarter. Quick 5 minute trip over the bridge to where all the action is! Also 5 minutes from the Algiers point ferry. Private driveway, washer/dryer and wifi. This is an upstairs apartment with stairs to the front door.
This is an entire apartment rental with a private driveway. It is an upstairs apartment located over our garage so climbing stairs is required to access this apartment.
  • This is a great spot if you want a quiet location to the quarter. A $10 Uber ride to the quarter. Very clean and comfy. A nice quiet neighborhood

    Dennis2017-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Just perfect! Way more value than the cost of the stay and Mimi was very helpful with our undefined schedule. Definitely going to stay here again if we come back to New Orleans!

  • This place is awesome. Very homely, you can get a sense of how's like to live around NOLA. There's a local cemetery right across the street. The host has a list full of recommendations on what to do and eat in NOLA. Absolutely worth it.

  • Clean, comfy and quiet! Just like it was advertised. Very cute and SUPER clean. Comfy bed!

    Victoria2018-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Mimi's place! Mimi was a great hostess and super accommodating with the check in and check out times. The place was very nice and clean and it also has a living room area and kitchen. If you are going to the French Quarter, the Algiers ferry is a short car ride away and it's only $2, which is easier than trying to park in the French Quarter. Uber is also available, and it's not expensive.

    Clarissa2016-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Mimi's place was warm and comfortable! It was our first visit to the city of New Orleans and every place we wanted to sight see was only 10-15 minutes away. We would definitely recommend her home to all!

    Terranie2016-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • Probably the most comfortable bed either of us have slept in. Had a GREAT nights sleep. Place is in a perfect location. Just over the bridge from all the hot spots. Much more cost effective to stay here and be a $7 Uber ride or a $4 ferry ride away than spend hundreds in the French Quarter per night. Michelle was super nice. Gave excellent suggestions and even dropped us off at the ferry the first day to show us where it was at. Will definitely be returning to stay here!! MUST try J & J Seafood located almost directly behind the house.

The room was just as pictured, and the house was a great place to crash on our road trip. Quiet neighborhood with some fab old houses with serious charm. Kitchen is right off the bedroom so it's convenient if you want to make some coffee or grab a late night snack. Good bakeries and coffee shops within walking distance, but be aware that the neighborhood is a bit rough around the edges.
