  • Our stay at April and Kens guest house was great. It was a ten minute cycle (April and Ken were mind enough to let us use theirs) to the French Quarter and had some great little local spots around. All the roads are flat so as long as the weather permits you can really cycle all over the city. We had some really great food at the Pagoda Cafe that Ken specifically recommended and ended up going back there for Reggae Night on Sunday. There was a really helpful list awaiting us when we arrived with restaurants, bars, transport info etc which is really helpful when you've never been to NOLA before. We really appreciated the local tips and managed to get to quite a few places on the list - it really made our vacation! The guest house itself was clean, spacious and private. It was such a blessing to have a washer and dryer as we had been travelling for two weeks prior to arriving in NOLA. The aircon works VERY well, but if you're a light sleeper and you're visiting in the summer pop some ear plugs in your bag (sleeping with the aircon off is not an option in LA at this time of the year!)

  • April & Ken are very sweet and the guesthouse is gorgeous. A bit of a squeeze with 4 people -- there's a bed & a pull-out couch -- but both were comfy, the bathroom was clean, there was closet space available and the kitchen well-appointed for cooking (Ken showed us how to work the grill and gave us hot sauce, yum). The courtyard is so pretty, with a working hot tub. We also loved walking up & down Esplanade & exploring Treme.

  • We've done a lot of Air BnB and have never come across better hosts than April and Ken. They are amazingly responsive, thorough and respectful. The apartment is spotless, and oh so completely cute. Getting in and out is easy, the kitchen is fantastic, and the bed is very very comfortable. If you need a bathroom on the same floor for middle-of-the night visits, you should consider one of their other two places. We were lucky to have both, and both are glorious. Bikes to borrow were a real perk!

  • Excellent location for Mardi Gras!!! We would definitely recommend staying here!!!

  • April & Ken were outstanding host. We arrived fairly early and they graciously allowed us to leave our belongings in the house until the official check in time. They provided a list of recommendations which we tried and they were each fantastic! It truly allowed us to get the genuine feel of NO. The place was exactly as described and displayed in the photos. The neighborhood was quiet, clean and safe. The house was clean and they provided many items to make you feel as though you were at home. You can communicate as much or as little as you like with them. When I sent them a text or email, they were prompt with responses and always pleasant. Transportation in the neighborhood, the bus stop is located right across the street. Be sure to download the schedule. We were grateful to find numbers to taxi cabs in the recommendation list, super helpful. We also used their bicycles, be sure to notify them for the key to the locks. As for location to major attractions, The French Quarter is about a 20 minute walk. Great walk during the day, but not so much in the evening after being out all day. Esplanade is one of the main roads and leads you straight to the Market Place and Frenchman St. Overall FABULOUS TIME! Would definitely recommend this place for your stay! We certainly plan to revisit in the future.

  • Great time in New Orleans! Perfect place for a couple to have a great weekend. The house is very nice and has everything you need. Minutes away from French Quarter or $10 cab ride at most...April and Ken are great hosts and offer some cool places to go. Frenchman Street was the perfect suggestion for us. We'd definitely go back!

  • A beautifully decorated garden house on the tree lined Esplanade. Very comfortable beds, full kitchen and all the ingredients for a good breakfast. There is a small shop in the neighborhood for milk and eggs. Ken was a very helpful host and April a very alert email reader and reactor. We would love to return for more New Orleans experience.

This beautiful home is in a perfect location to explore the City of New Orleans. It is a hidden gem within walking distance of Frenchmen Street, the best local cafes, bars and restaurants (L'il Dizzy's, Port of Call, Cafe Du Monde), and only 2 blocks from the French Quarters. The home is perfect for those who want to be near it all yet still have an authentic New Orleans experience that is usually only available to locals.
This is a true New Orleans home...you'll enjoy all of the traditional details, like the fireplace and exposed brick.
This neighborhood is alive. It's energy is quintessential New Orleans. You won't find a bad meal or a weak drink. The locals are always friendly and quick to start a conversation.
  • We only had one night in NO but Mark's place was a perfect location for us to walk into the French Quarter and enjoy the fantastic sights, sounds and food. The apartment is very clean, tastefully furnished, and comfortable for the two of us. My wife and I would absolutely stay there again and hopefully have more time to spend in such a beautiful town.

    Douglas2017-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, beautiful, easy access to the French Quarters. Host was wonderful. We can't wait to stay again!

  • The pictures of the place are great, but still did not do it justice. Loved the place and the location was great as we walked to shops and bars in the area on Bourban and Royal street. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks Mark!

  • This home is gorgeous and spacious for more than 1 person and very clean. It was a very pleasant walk into sites and sounds of New Orleans. We felt very safe walking home late from the French Quarter and Bourbon Street.

    Kara2016-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Marks Place was so clean we felt like we may have been the first people to walk in there. The space is tasteful furnished, giant rooms, beautiful neighbourhood. Must see the back street museum on the same block. Check in was easy. Highly recommend

Guest area features private bedroom and bath with its own private entrance. Only 2 miles from the French Quarter by streetcar. Enjoy complete privacy in the guest space or visit with the hosts as you desire. Additional bedroom is available for groups traveling together or families traveling with children. Please discuss your group's needs with the host. New Orleans license number is 17STR-06526.
Private bedroom and bath in our charming shotgun house just off the Canal Streetcar line only 2 miles from the French Quarter. Guest area features private entrance, lovely patio, beautiful antique furnishings, 11-foot ceilings, petite chandelier, comfortable and clean queen bed, and cozy guest robes. Internet, cable TV, parking, oscillating fan, iron, music player, white noise machine, hairdryer, fridge, coffeepot, crockpot, and snacks are provided. The space has a peaceful, airy feel and is flooded with natural light. This listing is unique in that you have complete privacy from the main house. The guest space has its own exterior door, and you are free to come and go as you please. The garden path leading to your room features motion-activated lighting if you are returning after dark. The room is located down the garden path in the rear of the house. A second bedroom is available for groups, so the space can be made to accommodate 1-4 people. We welcome special requests and will make every effort to assist with needed recommendations. We can also provide a travel crib and other baby items if you wish to travel with your childen. We love hosting guests for honeymoons, anniversaries, and other special events. Our home is located in the historic Mid-City neighborhood, which was one of the first neighborhoods to spring back after extensive flooding due to Hurricane Katrina. Mid-City is located, as the name indicates, in the middle of New Orleans on what was once the backslope of the Mississippi River natural levee. Our home was built around 1910 and is a typical New Orleans-style shotgun house. In New Orleans at the time of construction, the shotgun house utilized a minimized lot frontage, on which taxes were based. The houses were also built without hallways and closets, which would have been counted as rooms for tax purposes. The origin of the building style and the name itself may trace back to Haitian influences on New Orleans, as many Afro-Haitian slaves lived in this area. Our house was recently featured on the HBO series "Treme", as the law office of the character Toni Bernette (played by Melissa Leo) and also as part of the interior of the home of Creighton Bernette (played by John Goodman). Guests are free to have complete privacy or to meet with the host as desired to obtain recommendations for food, drink, and attractions. Check-in is offered via a lockbox. Rates may vary during special events and holidays. Our home is located just off the parade route for Endymion, the largest parade of Mardi Gras. The festival grounds for Jazz Fest are just over 1 mile away.
Mid-City is a diverse neighborhood with its own distinctive flavor. Bars and restaurants in this area are largely patronized by locals, so the neighborhood provides an escape from the more touristy areas of the city, while still allowing easy access to the French Quarter via the Canal Streetcar Line.
  • The area of this location was perfect for us! Mid-city nola was only about 10 minutes from French quarter and business district! We also loved that the area was quiet and safe. Erin also gave us a lot of informative details about the city for us which was very helpful!

    Hannah2016-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I loved our stay with Erin! Her home is beautiful and everything we expected of New Orleans - even prettier than the pictures. We did not meet her in person but she made herself very available via text and provided lots of great recommendations for restaurants and activities. We weren't sure how the train cars would work but it really was very easy and cheap to get around town. If we ever come back to New Orleand I would book again.

    Laura2015-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Erin's house was amazing . Verry good located close to the city center .

    Yves2015-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great experience overall, it felt like a high-end hotel but had the convenience and charm of living in a neighborhood. Short walk to one of the best restaurants I went to on my trip, eat at Katie's!

    Benjamin2016-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first Airbnb experience and it couldn't have been better! Everything was exactly as pictured so there were no unpleasant surprises, only pleasant ones! How fluffy the robes were, how nice the bathroom was, that every single book people recommended me to read about New Orleans was on the shelf in this room... Erin's place is full of thoughtful touches. Erin herself was super nice too, giving us safety tips as well as restaurant recommendations and the like. If you're looking for a nice place to stay in Mid City, I recommend this one!!!

    Katie2013-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Erin was a wonderful host; always attentive, considerate and willing to offer help/advise whenever needed. I really enjoyed hanging out with her and her husband; two really great and interesting people. Their place is magnificent, a very nicely renovated shotgun home in Mid-City. The room had all the necessities a guest would need. It was tastefully decorated, very private and really clean, just like pics show. The neighborhood was great, I rode my bike all over and access to the streetcar was a few blocks away. If you are really looking for a great authentic NOLA stay experience, I would recommend Erin's place hand down! I for one will definitely stay here again when I return to NOLA. Thank you Erin and Greg!

    Eddie2012-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay in Erin's room. The room has a private entrance and bathroom so it allows for a lot of privacy. It was very clean and felt almost like a hotel room. It's highly recommended!

    Cille2013-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Erin and Greg were lovely hosts. The room was BEAUTIFUL and had everything we needed (so appreciated the cold beer waiting in the fridge after our long drive)...snacks came in handy too. REALLY loved being able to use the driveway...many thanks! We enjoyed dinner out @ Katie's...neighborhood gem! Felt safe walking to and from the bus stop at night...and just a short ride to the French Quarter. The percect place to call "home" while visiting New Orleans. Highly recommended!

  • The place was beautiful. The pictures and specifications left me a little unsure, but after talking with the renter I found that this unit had two queen size beds, a pull out couch, and a bunk bed in one of the rooms with a queen. There was also an air mattress that we didn't use. Great location, great shower. Wish I had stayed longer and utilized the kitchen.

  • Brad and the team at Hospitality of New Orleans did a fantastic job ensuring we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The apartment was well furnished, and stocked with all the kitchen, bathroom, and bedding we needed for our 5 day stay. Even with eight of us staying there we never felt cramped, and the location was bar none for easy walking access to the French Quarter, Warehouse District, and the CBD. Would certainly recommend this listing to any groups visiting New Orleans!

We could tell from the moment we walked in, that the host genuinely cares about assuring the best experience possible for his guests!

  • This studio apartment is the perfect place to stay in New Orleans. It is impeccably clean and decorated. You can tell the hosts work hard to ensure a great experience with lists of places to go and some local beers in the fridge. :) Great hospitality and great location- easy Uber to all parts of the city.

  • This place is darling!!! I want to live here. Matthew is a great host. I will definitely stay here again!!

    Susan2016-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Matthew was great! He contacted me as soon as I booked, a month prior to my arrival, a week and days within my arrival. I wasn't always able to respond due to my high paced job, but his messages were appreciated. The studio is just as it is pictured. It was so nice and cozy, my boyfriend and I wanted to move in. The amnesties were up to date. He left us local beers and chips which was a delightful added bonus. When we visit Nola again we will more than likely stay at Matthew's place again. The location is GREAT (and private)! Everything you need is just a short drive away and you could even walk. I could go on and on about how great our how stay was. Just know that you won't be disappointed and Matthew will make you feel at home.

  • Matthew and Katherine’s Studio was beautiful! We found it very clean. The apartment had all the amenities you might need while traveling. Matthew and Katherine were very helpful and quickly responded to any of our questions. The neighborhood was nice and close to a trolly stop. This is definitely a place we would recommend and we hope to revisit!

Located on the residential side of Bourbon St. you will enjoy the quietness at night and sleep like a baby and few steps all the action of Bourbon and the Marigny area. This mansion was built in the 1830s n was recently converted into Luxury condos. STR Licence #: 17STR-09001
The living room has one queen sofa bed for two people, located in front of the charming courtyard, large balcony on the second floor, master bedroom with private bathroom, second bedroom with a set of bunk beds and daybed to sleep four people, kitchen, dining room, additional bathroom on the first floor, TV.
  • Nice place, well furnished. Location is in less crowded end of bourbon with easy walk to the other side. Great location. Courtyard was nice place to relax. Easy access, both check in and check out. Only issue I had was Wi-Fi never worked, but I honestly didn't pursue it with the host as I didn't come to New Orleans for the Wi-Fi. Would stay at again.

    Jordan2016-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • A great time with friends in a wonderful city! DeeDee was an amazing host and we had a ball exploring Bourbon St, Frenchman, and Garden District. Can't wait to go back and see more!

    Cate2016-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Nice vintage two-story condo in an amazing location. Checking-in was super easy because it's just a keycode -- no one to meet. The unit was clean and, although a tight space, it wasn't cluttered with too much stuff so it was plenty of room for the five adults on our trip. Nice little courtyard which I believe is shared with some other units, but we never overlapped with others out there so it never bothered us. I would definitely consider staying here again if I needed a place that slept 4-6 adults.

    Corey2016-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, quiet at the end of a courtyard. Very comfortable for 6 people and was great to have two bathrooms. Quaint building with NOLA charm. Highly recommend.

    Katya2017-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for a Bachlorette party of six women. It was perfect for six people but I wouldn't recommend staying here if you have more than six. It is a very charming place with beautiful exposed brick and a spiral staircase. The spiral staircase is nice to look at but not easy to walk up and down on. The staircase was a little rickety with some missing screws or loose parts. This condo needs some improvements but for the most part it was great for us. Location was great. We were close to Jackson square, Frenchman street, and the main section of bourbon. If staying here, I recommend eating brunch at the Ruby Slipper which was super close by. The courtyard was pretty and we enjoyed sitting out there at night. Lastly, we all appreciated the fact there were two secure enterances, we felt safe at this location.

    Brooke2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, beautiful apartment that was comfortable and clean. Will be back!

    Richard2018-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Condo. Great space, the neighborhood was quiet yet super close to everything. And the furnishings were very stylish.

    Bill2016-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Although I never met DeeDee, the check-in was perfect because a meeting was not necessary instead it was a key code. Which was perfect because I did not have a set time to arrive in New Orleans. She was very punctual and easily contacted. The two-story vintage condo is located at the end of Bourbon, but still in walking distance from all festivites. The space in the condo was sufficient for 6 adults and it was VERY clean. Though had we had 8 adults, as the description says it can fit, it would've felt cramped. If the weather had been better than the coldest day of the year in Louisiana, it would have been nice to sit outside in the courtyard which is perfect for a quiet place to hang with a few people. The courtyard is shared with the other guests in the other 2 condos next to this one, but it was never an issue. The pictures and description fit exactly what is offered at the condo and I would rent this place over a hotel stay in New Orleans every time. It was perfect for a weekend get-away!

The Mazant is a plantation-style home dating back to the early 1880s, located in the heart of New Orleans' Bywater arts district - and about 1-1/2 miles from the French Quarter (30 minutes walking or 8 minutes by Uber). We are close to Bacchanal, The Joint, The Country Club, Elizabeth's, and Satsuma Cafe. It's perfect for family reunions, wedding parties, company off-sites, and other large groups.
UPDATE SUMMER 2018: This summer we are making some additional updates to the house, including adding one additional queen bed (upstairs), remodeling three bathrooms, adding a new half bathroom downstairs, and doubling the size of the kitchen. New floor plans are already available online and photos will be updated by the end of September. ----- We have been working to renovate the house over the past several years, seeking to preserve historic details including 13' ceilings with plaster medallions, heart pine wood floors, cypress doors, and a 125-year old oak tree. At the same time, we updated the layout to more comfortably accommodate large groups: * 18-person dining room table * Oversized living room with 70-inch television, surround sound system, and Baldwin upright piano * Private yard (1/3 acre) with fire pit, six-burner propane BBQ, outdoor table, and hammocks * Super-fast WiFi (the top tier that Cox offers) * Front porch (gallery) with historic gas lamps and outdoor seating * Off-street parking for two cars and ample street parking for overflow The house has eight bedrooms with layout as follows: Downstairs - Bedroom 1: one queen bed (semi-private bathroom - shower) - Bedroom 2: one queen bed (ensuite bathroom - shower) Upstairs - Bedroom 3: one queen bed (ensuite bathroom - shower/tub combo) - Bedroom 4: one double bed - Bedroom 5: one twin bunkbed - Bedroom 6: one king bed - Bedroom 7: two queen beds (semi-private bathroom - shower) - Bedroom 8: one king bed There is another shared bathroom upstairs (near the laundry room) with a clawfoot tub-shower combination. Unfortunately, the caretaker's cottage is no longer available for rent.
Just down river (east) from the French Quarter - stretching from Press Street to the Industrial Canal - is the Bywater, where the mood and pace shift as you enter into the heart of an edgier yet still welcoming neighborhood. The St. Claude Arts District, centered around St. Claude Avenue, is home to more than thirty locations exhibiting visual and performance art, along with an array of artisan crafts. Down Piety Street, the fun continues with restaurants, thrift stores and more galleries. Even the homes, cafes and restaurants seem to capture Bywater's eclectic appreciation for the arts. Spend the afternoon at Crescent Park for some impressive views of downtown New Orleans and the Mississippi River. Afterward, you can thrift your way through the neighborhood before stopping in at an exhibition and finally making your way to dinner. The area's restaurants are among the most innovative in the city and are great places to sit with a cocktail and chat with locals. Above all, the Marigny and Bywater neighborhoods illustrate the relationship between the New Orleans arts scene and local life. So whether you're looking for the New Orleans of old, or if you want see where New Orleans culture is headed for the future, the Faubourg Marigny and Bywater will offer you glimpses in either direction.
  • Fantastic house. Big, beautiful, well decorated and top notch amenities. Comfortably slept 12 people for a guys trip to New Orleans. Really had a great time at the house. Couldn’t ask for anything different.

  • A fantastic house located in a unique neighborhood. Out of the french Quarter and a few blocks from the Marigny, Jeff's home was just what we were looking for. Bacchanal wine and the Joint BBQ are a must. Thank you for accommodating our families.

  • This place was absolutely stunning. The pictures do not do it justice. We rented this mansion for our 5 yr vow renewal and we could not have made a better choice. Everything was 5 stars! Our guests were so impressed. We will be visiting again next year.

  • Amazing house! I planned a bachelorette for 16 girls and the house WOWed them :). It was in a cool area with greats local joints, the decor was gorgeous, space was huge and clean. We will come back again. Thanks!

  • The Mazant house is absolutely gorgeous. My team and I were so impressed with the New Orleans decor and art throughout the home and each one of us raved about the comfort levels of the beds! This was a business trip but by the end of our stay we felt more like family. Thank you for having us, I would recommend staying at the Mazant house to everyone traveling with a large group.

  • Loved it!!

  • Jeff's place is fantastic! My friends and I flew in town for my wedding and stayed at the Mazant. The location is great (specifically it's proximity to The Joint (a fantastic local BBQ spot)), Jeff's communication and flexibility was amazing (he provided local tips on places to go well before our arrival) and was flexible with check-in since my rehearsal was at the same time, and the house was AMAZING! I would definitely recommend staying at The Mazant.

Lovely apt with 14 foot ceilings and exposed plaster walls right in the middle of the French Qtr and the Garden Dist., walking distance attractions, and wonderful food and drink options within one block. Separate entrance and entire floor of 1850s brick townhouse. I own the home, and we live on the first floor of the building with our dogs. We're very thankful to you for staying with us, as your money goes back into the bldg by paying for its continuing restoration! [Listing #: 17STR-08176]
Old 1850s brick townhouse located on the edge of the Lower Garden District. The apartment is romantic, full of antiques, and has a super comfy king size bed. If you love food, you are within walking distance of some great restaurants located either uptown on Magazine Street or downtown in the Warehouse District / CBD. There is a lovely bar right next door, an awesome coffee shop right across the street and a microbrewery with half a block. You are just a 20 minute walk to the French Quarter as well. I own this house, live in the building, and do all the booking, communication and cleaning myself so I'm here to make your stay as great as possible with a a personal touch! Your stay funds the renovation of this building so thanks for considering this for your stay in New Orleans.
I love this neighborhood! It is right in the middle of city along the river, so a more low traffic spot, but with easy access to the more commercial and entertainment districts. It has its own lovely set of bars, coffee shops, and wonderful restaurants very close by though.
  • Lindsey was a wonderful host. She was flexible with us leaving our bags both before check in at the apt and after we checked out but before our flight. The room is just beautiful and as grand as the pictures show, if not even more. Though we didn't need any, the kitchen was stocked with coffee, teas and other amenities. The lower garden district is a perfect place to explore and an easy walk, bike or tram to any other part of New Orleans. Plus there was a great coffee spot across the street and many places to eat down on magazine street. It's really in the middle of town so going to areas around the French Quarter or Bywater was simple, but so was heading the other way to the Audubon. We have a great time!

    Stephie2016-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first time (a) in New Orleans and (b) using Airbnb. We drove 15 hours from Chicago and had no brain power left when we found Lindsey's place. Luckily, she was sitting outside of the bar next door, Barrel Proof (which offers some delicious old fashioneds) and told us about the locks and gave us a brief tour. We were very impressed with the spaciousness and charm of Lindsey's spot. Magazine St. is now our favorite area of New Orleans. There are countless, unique bars and shops. On Magazine St., we recommend: District Donuts and Brew, Rum House, and The Bull Dog. We highly recommend this place as we always felt safe and removed from the craziness of Bourbon St. (it is there for the taking if you so desire) and enjoyed getting to know Lindsey on our last night. We were sad to leave and hope to be back. Cheers!

    Keith2014-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Lindsey's place is unique and well-located. She was very responsive and easy to communicate with. The space is beautiful, too! My one issue was that I arrived during a cold snap and the apartment hadn't yet been winter-proofed, so it was quite chilly.

    Ayden2014-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • Lindsey's rental was exactly as advertised. A very authentic New Orleans garden district experience. Communication with Lindsey was easy and prompt. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks, Lindsey.

    Michael2014-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay and already planning coming back. The area is awesome in my opinion Lindsey was awesome. She was super helpful and sweet.

    Johanna 2016-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lindsey was very hospitable and nice to work with. The place is very casual and attractive as seen through the pictures online. The location worked great for us too. We were curious about whether noise from the highway would be an issue, but it really wasn't. Thank you Lindsey!

    Jeffrey2014-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first Airbnb experience and it was fantastic! The location is superb, close enough to the French Quarter, etc. to get there with ease but far enough away to get some rest after wandering the city all day. The place is really awesome and it was great basically having our own apartment while visiting for a few days! Lindsey supplies pretty much anything you could think of and has excellent suggestions for restaurants and places to go in the Garden District and other parts of the city. We definitely hope to stay here again if we're back in New Orleans!

    Tera2015-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • Such a charming and unique little rental in a quiet neighborhood, great location. Every need was provided for. If we are ever back in New Orleans again we will surely rent this again! Thank you Lindsey!

Please see calendar for daily rates! Some days are lower than others!
Built in the 1860's, "Little Orange" is half of a "shotgun"; thus, it boasts the hallmarks of traditional New Orleans architecture: 13 foot ceilings, cypress mantels, pocket doors, tall shuttered windows, and hardwood floors. The shutters are a vibrant orange to remind you of this city's Caribbean spirit. Bienvenue aux tropiques! The apartment is fully furnished and appointed, the space comprised of a living-room (with queen pull-out couch), equipped kitchen, one bedroom, and small bath. There's wifi, a large flat screen TV, burglar alarm, granite counters, stainless steel appliances, washer/dryer. And a great book collection too. The apartment is best suited for two people; however, it can sleep four when using the pull-out couch. As of Sept. 2016, there's a brand new Queen mattress in the bedroom: it's a Comfort Dreams Select-A Memory Foam (medium-firm) and very comfortable! Please know that when the couch is extended in the living-room, that common space radically shrinks. There's a $25 fee per adult guest #3 and #4. There is no additional fee for children. The front porch overlooks a full block of green space (Annunciation Square Park), home to many soccer and kickball games. There's a basketball court in the park as well (and so a basketball sits in the bedroom closet for you too). I spend more time on the porch than I do in the living-room. The porch also overlooks my small--but robust!--butterfly garden where a small fountain burbles. It's a great place to drink coffee in the morning and wine in the evening, and I hope the night-blooming jasmine is working its perfume when you're here! The apartment is an easy stroll to lower Magazine Street, known for its many boutiques, antique shops, bars, and eateries, as well as to the Warehouse District/CBD and French Quarter. Please check out my map/guidebook! I've mainly tagged places to which you can easily stroll, but I'm happy to offer suggestions for outings in farther flung areas of town. The house is not far from the Convention Center, Mardi Gras World/Productions, The Chicory (wedding venue) and Second Line Stages. If you are in town for a conference/event or working on a film, my location can't be beat. Likewise, if you're in town for a game, a cheap cab ride gets you to the Super dome quickly. This neighborhood has been dubbed one of New Orleans' hottest for obvious reasons. There really is a ton to see and do (and eat) right here. For those interested in getting out to explore other parts of the city/state, it's worth knowing that my location offers convenient access to I-10. No need to traverse all of uptown or the Quarter to find the interstate. The on-ramp is three blocks away, which means the West Bank is five minutes away, the airport, 20 without traffic. If you don't have a car, the bus runs along both Magazine and Tchoupitoulas. I bought this property for its convenience of location. Although the apartment is an easy distance to many hot spots, the neighborhood itself is quiet--another reason I bought this property. Your sleep will not be disturbed by traffic or street cheer. The Mississippi rolls by just two blocks away, so the hood has a sultry "edge of town" feel. I love this about it. Neither uptown nor downtown, it floats in between, spooned by the river(URL HIDDEN) Regretfully, pets are not allowed.
Lower Magazine Street is made for wandering. Just two blocks away, it offers an endless stream of boutiques, cafes, bars, coffee shops, and restaurants of all price ranges. Many guests choose to devote one full day to exploring Magazine. In terms of immediate surroundings, my neighbor is restoring a gorgeous, but run-down, New Orleans Greek-revival mansion. He is doing the work himself (!) with the help of family and friends (it is an impressive undertaking), so his construction work is intermittent. Often there are sizable breaks between bursts. For the most part, it is quite quiet, but construction work does flare up from time to time. As 99% of previous reviews attest, noise is not a regular feature of Little Orange life, yet all potential guests should indeed be aware of the potential for construction noise. Whenever my neighbor communicates his work schedule, I will pass this info along to potential as well as confirmed future guests.

Across the Mississippi River from the convention center, the cruise terminal, the Superdome, the Arena, downtown New Orleans and the French Quarter. Quick 5 minute trip over the bridge to where all the action is! Also 5 minutes from the Algiers point ferry. Private driveway, washer/dryer and wifi. This is an upstairs apartment with stairs to the front door.
This is an entire apartment rental with a private driveway. It is an upstairs apartment located over our garage so climbing stairs is required to access this apartment.
  • Most comfy bed and softest sheets ever! The place is beach themed, super cute. It's also spotless clean and smells really nice. Has everything for a comfy stay: kitchen with silverware and bowls for a relaxing crawfish boil night, a TV, recliner, washer and dryer, iron and ironing board, and a binder with WiFi password and tips for local travel. Great location as well: 15 minutes top to downtown, shops, public transport and restaurants, but quiet at night. Check in and check out are super easy. Best stay hands down.

  • Really enjoyed our stay here. Everything was so close to us. We had our privacy too. Highly recommend this place.

  • We loved how easy it was to get into the city, only a 15 minute drive to the French Quarter or a quick scenic ferry ride across the Mississippi. There is an above ground cemetery right across the street that you can drive through so you don't have to go far to see this cool feature of New Orleans. The owners were very easy to communicate with but we really had no need due to simple house instructions and no issues during our stay. The house was clean and had everything we needed for a weekend in NOLA.

    Katherine2017-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved staying here! Mimi & Cliff thought of EVERYTHING-the kitchen has everything you need, including a precious little dishwasher and clothes washer and dryer. Everything was clean and cozy. Super comfortable bed, plenty of hot water and great water pressure in the shower. The apartment is above a garage and set back from the road, so it was very private and quiet. We felt completely safe. We'll most definitely be back!

    Michal2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Mimi's place was clean, comfy and perfect for a short trip to New Orleans. The room looks just like the pictures, and the bed was extremely comfortable. I never met Mimi face to face but she was great about email communication. It is about a 10 minute uber ride to downtown NOLA. I would definitely stay here again.

    Emily2017-03-08T00:00:00Z

  • Firstly, Daniel is very, very nice and super quick to respond to questions. Secondly, be warned there is no shower (yet) or kitchen. Not a big deal until I tried to wash my hair in the tub, which was slightly more awkward than I anticipated. The bed is so comfy. It's a little firm (which I like) and has a nice pillow-top for some cushiness. The whole apartment is super cute and on a quiet street. I loved the decor and seating areas and the little coffee bar. It's about an $11 uber ride to the french quarter.

    Becki2018-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • The whole experience was very convenient and easy. I like to keep to myself and Daniel respected that and made sure I knew he was available if I needed anything. Very quiet. I never heard the other guests or the host. Convenient driveway parking in a quiet neighborhood. About $12 Lyft downtown. Very cute space. A little dark just because there are only windows on one side of the apartment due to layout, but that’s no ones fault. I also probably like more natural light than most people so take with a grain of salt. Highly, highly recommend Daniel to any future travelers.

    Lianna2018-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • The place is perfect for 2 people, maybe 3. It is a studio with a king bed and a couch. We easily Ubered every where we needed to go. The unit was very quiet. We had a great time.

  • Great host! Very private, cozy and stylish.

    Jenna2018-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • We loved escaping to a little hideaway in the big easy. It was warm, comfortable, and felt like a home away from home. We could not think of a better place to stay. There were days where we had to force ourselves to leave because of how comfortable we felt there. We most definitely will be visiting again. Thanks!

    Antoine2018-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Daniel's place is simply amazing! Those pictures you look at before making a decision-what you see is what you get. The bed is so comfy and the tub is amazing! I seriously wanted to take the tub home with me. Daniel's place is close enough for a quick Uber to the Quarter (trust me-take the Uber!) but far enough away to have a quiet nights sleep. He had some great local recommendations. We were the first to see the fountain and it's so cool. We're hoping Daniel's place is available when we come back.

    Kenysha2018-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Daniel's place at Jasmine Falls was a wonderful, and I mean wonderful place to stay at during my short visit. I am currently road tripping from Philadelphia before I head back into the classroom for the start of the new school year. New Orleans is a place I've visited before, but wanted to come back. Daniel's place was so convenient . A short Uber ride (about 9-10 bucks depending on time of day), and you're in downtown. The guest suite itself was a labor of love. Daniel really put hard work into the guest suite I can tell. The bed was comfortable and cozy. I love the bathtub shower. He had the mini-fridge, which was good to store my water. A roku tv was nice as well. His whole place was clean and pleasing to the eye. His communication was prompt. I didn't get a chance to meet him face to face, but could tell he seems like a wonderful person. I definitely would recommend especially because of the location. You're not downtown, but not far away either. I would book his place again (and probably the only place) next time I go down to New Orleans!

  • This is a wonderful little house with everything you'll need. It's an old house, but clean. Mimi and Cliff were responsive. Would stay again.

    Razi2018-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had the best experience with Mimi&Cliff. We were looking for a place that was private and convenient for one night near the cruise terminal. It was perfect. It was a particularly chilly time to be in New Orleans and the house did not have a central furnace but the hosts provided more than adequate space heating options throughout the entire house. The kids room was the warmest! Which as a parent (although our children were not with us) I know is super important. Had our children been with us they really would've loved this place. Short Lyft/Uber ride to the French Quarter too. Oh- and our local drivers mentioned how safe the area is, there was nothing to worry about in this neighborhood. They said the police officers don't put up with any funny business there. Thank you for hosting us! It was exactly what we needed.

    Cari2018-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • So spacious and cozy. It really felt like home... And if you're traveling with kids, this is going to be the best choice!

    Won2017-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing host, turned on A/C before we arrived to cooldown the apartment. Apartment as described / best you can get with this price. Very helpful with tips on how to travel and where to eat.

    David2016-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great location for access to ferry to French Quarter. Clean and comfortable accommodations. Hosts were easy to communicate with and worked with our request for an early check-in. The room with toys is the perfect touch for kids. There is a classic New Orleans cemetery across the street to check out that was neat. This neighborhood felt safe but is surrounded by some possibly questionable areas that you wouldn't want to be in after dark. But we didn't have any issues. We only stayed 1 night, but had easy access to the French Quarter. Would recommend.

    Andrea2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • It's a very very nice place, so cute ! very clean, we had all necessity for bathroom. It's very clean and quiet. thanks to mimi for all the tips she gave us for visiting NOLA . It helped us a lot. We had a wonderful time !

    Sophie2017-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to stay. Having been to NOLA many times, I was a little cautious on where we were located. It seemed sketchy on the drive in. But everything was just great! It was quiet, although there are three dogs next door, and one behind the place. They might have a barkfest from time to time. The bed was great, the whole place was comfy and cozy. We only stayed for one night, but we will stay for longer in the future. There is also a cemetery across the street, and at sunset, you will get amazing pics! We had a car, and getting over to the French Quarter was only about 15 minutes away. And it's a great scenic drive over the bridge. I highly recommend staying here! :)

  • Perfect location. Plenty of room for two adults and two teens. Close to downtown and French Quarter. Only a two night stay after a cruise, but would also be great for a longer stay. Greatly appreciated the breakfast food items. Great lunch just down the road at the Dry Dock. Would stay again and will recommend to anyone visiting the area. You won’t be disappointed!!

  • Everything was great! The location was perfect, we felt safe the entire time, and the house had everything we needed. Rebecca even had some extra items waiting for us that were really nice, such as a nice selection of pamphlets of activities around New Orleans when we weren’t sure what to do for a day. Would definitely stay again!

  • Lauren was an outstanding host. She was extremely attentive, nice, and very caring. She made sure we had everything we needed at arms reach. Her and her husband were very nice people! Both the property and Lauren/husband over exceeded our expectations.

  • The place was incredible! The White Room along with the entire estate is gorgeous and exactly as described. We really enjoyed the hot tub which was nice and cool on a hot and humid late July evening and appreciated the breakfast in the morning before we shot out of town back to Alabama. We will absolutely be back the next time we are in town and would love to bring friends/family with us!

  • If you're thinking about staying in the white room, or any of the rooms at the mansion.. DO IT! The rooms are beautiful, it is in a great location (go to 'The Bakery Bar' across the street. It's a MUST) breakfast in the morning, wine and happy hour in the evening, hot tub with a quiet and cute feel in the back area, easy entry to your room and the mansion itself. All around great stay! First airbnb we'd go back for.

We are tucked away in the Lower Garden District one block off of Magazine St. very close to the warehouse district and downtown destinations. With great coffee shops (French Truck, MOJO & vegan-friendly Hi Volt), neighborhood bars (Barrel Proof, Avenue Pub, the Saint, Bakery Bar) and sensible restaurants (Juan's Flying Burrito, District Donuts, Stein's Deli, Surrey's) just a short walk away, it really doesn't get any more convenient for a stay in the Big Easy.
  • This is a nearly new apartment on a side-street, one bedroom, a very nice bathroom, and a nice kitchen/living space. The hosts have equipped it with both the modern comforts (coffee maker, flat screen TV, etc) and also some "old-school" touches like LPs and a record player. There are great places to eat within a 5-minute walk (check out Surrey's Café, a virtually hidden restaurant on Magazine Street. Reeves & Grace were super-helpful cooperative when I thought would need to send ahead a few boxes (it turned out that I didn't need to) and when a component for my trade show went missing Reeves called friends to find me one. Great hosts and a great apartment.

    Andy2018-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first Airbnb and it was wonderful! I don't know if we will ever stay in a hotel again. Very good location! It's really in the middle and you are able to get the full experience! Very clean, quiet, and safe!

    Carly2018-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Reeves’s place was just as I expected. Great apartment as well as location. Easy parking right in front if driving a car. Outstanding restaurants and stores by the area. The balcony was a plus. Would recommend to anyone.

    Johanna2018-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great place and great hosts who make sure you have what you need to make your stay more enjoyable.

    Andrew2018-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is the best Airbnb apartment I have never been, mainly because of their hospitality. They were very polite with us, the place is great and close to the centre. I really recommend this place to discover NOLA.

    Borja2018-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • Reeves's place has everything you could desire. Our host had fresh fruit, snacks, coffee, Prosecco and more waiting for us upon arrival. It was a warm welcome to New Orleans. Our mornings were relaxing eating breakfast in as we had a full kitchen! The apt has a balcony and we enjoyed our coffee or sundowners outside. The hospitality was superb, our host was in contact to check we had all we needed and answer any questions or make suggestions. We enjoyed using the record player and reviewing the thoughtfully chosen books available for reading. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. We were delighted by our stay. We searched for a place that was comfortable, private, in a convenient location and spotless. We received more than we could have expected. We would stay here again and again. It is the BEST value in NOLA.

    Mary2017-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • The place was spotless. Even more amenities than a hotel including toiletries, coffee, snacks, and more! The hosts were so incredibly accessible, responded quickly, and were quite friendly. It was an incredibly comfortable stay!

Longer term of 30 days or more: This is a fully furnished rental in the historic district of Gretna: a suburb of New Orleans. It boasts a very quiet neighborhood and all the amenities for very comfortable living in a home away from home.

Very quiet historic part of Gretna. I like riding the bike down to the river only 10 blocks away: There's a great bike and running path that goes for 3.5 miles to Algiers ferry. One can watch the sunset over the New Orleans skyline from the river path and old town center.
  • Great little place in quiet neighbourhood. The place was perfect for a couple and had everything you need whilst also being clean and fresh. Raymond was easy to deal with and very friendly, would recommend this place. $15-20 cab ride to the quarter and a nice break from the craziness. Thanks Raymond

  • I was there in November 2012 (Thanksgiving break). Like this apt a lot. The place worth its money! It has 2 TVs, Wi-Fi Internet, nice kitchen and a free parking space. It is big enough for 4 people. I would definitely recommend it for my friends! Thanks Ray!

    Askar2012-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great time staying at Ray's place in Gretna. The kitchen was well equipped and the house was close to the ferry and highway over to the city. We would definitely reccomend this place to others traveling to New Orleans!

    Sara2013-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Everything exceeded our expectations!

    Jamie2013-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had two unforgettable days in this super convenient and super cute apartment. We recommend it to anyone who is traveling with family and friends. The apartment was the cleanest we've ever stayed at and it has every possible amenity. Full kitchen, washer/dryer in excellent condition. Quiet neighborhood. We'll definetely try to rent it again. It is a picturesque ferry ride away from the French Quarter.

    Bisa2012-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was very nice; it was clean and comfortable. When we arrived, we were greeted by Raymond's brother and his wife Deanna. They made us feel very welcome and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The house had comfortable air conditioning and ceiling fans, plenty of towels, WiFi, and a washer and dryer. There was also off-street parking available in the drive way. The house is in Gretna and requires a drive across a bridge to enter New Orleans, so I would recommend renting a car if you stay here. It was a great home base for the week!

    Jasmine2012-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful experience staying at Crescent Moon Villas. Talk about the perfect get-away :) Everything was there including washer n dryer. It was an easy commute to see sights and explore New Orleans. Located in a quiet area and home was beautifully decorated, organized and clean. This really was home away from home and on our next visit to New Orleans, we hope it is available-we will return Raymond! :) Thanks. Also communication with and from Raymond was great! Our only concern was getting to New Orleans as he made home easily accessible w good instructions. Thnx again.

  • It’s very comfy and quiet. Had everything we needed. Within 15 mins of bourbon street and had some places nearby to grab a bite.

    Chris2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay with short Uber ride to the French Quarter. The place was very cozy and welcoming. David was also very understanding with our late night arrival.

    Jonathan2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Five of us were in town to attend a wedding at Southern Oaks Plantation and David's place was a perfect home base for us. We loved all of the thoughtful amenities and local tips. It was surprisingly comfortable for our large group. Super easy check-in/check-out was also great because we had people getting in at all different times. This is really quiet neighborhood that was only a 10 minute drive to the French Quarter, so we felt like we got the best of both worlds. It's also a 20 minute walk to the Algiers/Canal St ferry, which is a great deal.

    Marisa2018-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment was exactly as described in the photos and description. Everything was brand new and extremely clean. The host David was kind and responded to calls and texts when I had questions. He truly put in a lot of work to provide a nice place for guests. Would be a good option for someone who needed an extended stay as well (traveling professional).

    Colleen2017-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this place! The apartment is so cute and very tidy! It is in a great location to be close enough to French Quarter and surrounding areas (we took Ubers into town) but far enough away that it is quiet when you're trying to sleep. David was very responsive to our questions and gave us some great recommendations. The information he gave us about the apartment was very thorough and made the check-in/check out process very easy. When I return to New Orleans I will definitely be looking to see if David's place is available.

    Leah2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • My stay was amazing! Everything was super clean and very modern. David offered a lot of great suggestions on places to eat in the area and the communication before and during our stay was very clear. The location is a short drive/uber to downtown and French Quarter. David was very accommodating and I highly recommend staying at his place!

    Tamara2017-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Diamond in the rough! This place was just like checking into someone's home with the privacy of your own place. David was super accessible and the house had everything you could need not to mention it felt super secure too. I will be recommending this place to friends. Uber to the French Quarter was about $13 too.

One bedroom, ground level apartment in quiet City Park Triangle. Walk to City Park, Jazz Fest, and street car to French Quarter. Fenced yard with gazebo and fire pit. Short walk to coffee shops, restaurants, and shopping.
City Park Triangle is a quiet and safe neighborhood. It is very well located to provide easy access (1/2 block) to City Park (Art Museum, Botanical Gardens, Morning Call) and just 0.4 miles to N. Carrolton Ave to restaurants, shopping and a stop for the Canal St. streetcar line to the French Quarter, Convention Center, WWII Museum and much, much more.
  • this was the perfect location for anything you wanted to do. we were 5 minutes away from many cafes and about 15 minutes away from bourbon. the room was very nice but my boyfriend is quite tall (5’9”) and almost hit his head on the ceiling multiple times so beware of that for all the tall folk! joan was very attentive and sweet plus left pralines, coffee and tea for us. (:

  • This was an outstanding travel experience. Very roomy and comfortable. I was in NOLA for a week to see my daughter and help with my new grand baby. I felt very safe coming and going at different times of the day and was able to easily navigate around different parts of town from this location. I didn’t have the opportunity to appreciate much of the neighborhood sites but we did walk to breakfast one morning at one of Joan’s recommendations , the Wakin Bakin, and had some of the best grits ever! City Park is next door and the free outdoor sculpture garden at the Museum of Art is a must! I have already booked this getaway for a second time. Thank you Joan!

    Donna2018-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • the place was exactly as pictured. it's in a quiet neighborhood and you have the whole space to yourself. Joan was very responsive to questions. also the bed was so comfy! I would stay here again if i was back in town.

    Denisia2018-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Joan’s place is really pretty and in a great location! You must stay here

    Chelsea2018-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Joan’s place is a great value and wonderful location if you want to be convenient to the French Quarter while still enjoying some quiet relaxation away from Bourbon St. It’s right by beautiful City Park and less than a $10 Lyft/Uber to the Quarter (there are also public transit options within walking distance for just a couple dollars round trip on the street cars and bus lines). Joan met us upon arrival to go over a few quirks and details, answer any questions, and welcome us to New Orleans. She had local maps, a book of things to check out around town, and a paper detailing some of the local festivals and activities happening during our stay. We would definitely stay at Joan’s place again!

    Savannah2018-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Joan's place was an amazing stay for a first AirBnB experience. I will be looking to stay with her for a my future visits to New Orleans!

The 2 story brick out building opens to our beautiful courtyard. This room sleeps 2, has a stocked refrigerator, electric kettle and toaster. It shares our newly renovated bathroom, just steps away, with our Balcony room. Our location is unique in the city and is not a quiet residential street by day. Nights and weekends, however, are a peaceful change from the commerce serving the Port of New Orleans during the working day. Our neighbor, a wedding venue, does have music till midnight.
Situated in the old kitchen with the original cooking hearth. This room surrounds you with history and comfort. Lovingly restored with exposed cypress timbers, brickwork and wood paneling with updated insulation, A/C and ceiling fan to make sure its always comfortable. The room shares the bathroom, with the Balcony room, and is just a few steps away. On demand hot water allows the guest the luxury of long showers without running out for the next guest. A stocked refrigerator, electric kettle and toaster is everything you need to start and end the day. The Courtyard is your outdoor living room, shaded by palm trees and our fragrant orange tree. In summer months outdoor fans are provided for the comfort of our guests.
Our home since 1981, the main 3 story building and its 2 story out building are in the heart of our historic municipal square 80. We are bounded by Race, Religious, Orange and Tchoupitoulas streets. The collection of buildings that remain at our down river end of the square were built by Laurent Milladon, a French sugar planter, as rental property in the early 1830s. Today little remains of our old neighborhood but now the visitor has an expanse of urban landscape and a river vista unparalleled in the city. We are not a sleepy corner of the Crescent City. During business hours you can hear trains, ships and trucks coming and going to our busy port. After hours and on weekends though you may be serenaded by song birds, flocks of Monk Parrots in the Palm trees or live jazz bands, entertaining guests next door at Race & Religious, a wedding venue. We are uniquely located for the visitor who is here for work or play. Here are some reference points from 1503 Tchoupitoulas: 2 blocks down river to the Morial Convention Center. 4 blocks to the Second Line Studio, a full service motion picture sound stage. We are minutes away from the Central Business District, Federal courthouse and the vibrant Arts and Museum District. Canal Street and the French Quarter are just a mere 15 minute walk. Upriver and only a 5 minute walk puts you at the beginning of Magazine Street and a delightful collection of boutiques, restaurants and bars that continue up river all the way to Audubon Park. A Super Walmart is 4 blocks up Tchoupitoulas St. on the river.
  • The most wonderful weekend away in New Orleans thanks to Neil & Nancy. The house is a historic dream with an unbelievable courtyard. Neil and Nancy were the most generous and friendly of hosts - even treating us to Louisiana scones with homemade jam on Sunday morning. We were able to use the two bikes to explore Garden District, Uptown and French Quarter. Thank you Neil & Nancy for the perfect weekend!

    Anastasia2016-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed at Neil and Nancy's house this past weekend and we could not have been happier. Upon arrival they greeted us as if we were family! This is truly an amazing place to stay, it feels like a beautiful getaway in the courtyard! Both Neil and Nancy provided us with lots of suggestions and advice on places to visit and all of their suggestions were excellent! They provided us with bicycles that we used most of the weekend which was a huge bonus for my husband and I who love to be active, plus it saved us taxi/uber fees! On Sunday morning they welcomed us with homemade scones and cappuccinos! The location is perfect! It is a great midway between the French Quarter and all of the shops on Magazine Street. Whenever we return to NOLA we won't stay anywhere else but here!

    Kim2016-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • It was lovely. My wife and I enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks for having us!

    Jamie2015-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • They were fantastic. They honestly seemed to care a lot, and planned out everything you might need to the letter. I genuinely appreciate these two and highly recommend them to anyone visiting new Orleans

    Ray2016-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • My sister, sister-in-law, and I rented both of Neil and Nancy's available rooms for a long weekend in NOLA. The rooms and space were just as they were in the pictures- full of character, impeccably decorated, clean, and comfortable. We loved having access to the courtyard, and the fridge and seating area in the front house. It was simple to come and go, and the two cruiser bikes we borrowed to bike around the city were a bonus! Parking was also easy and free along Race street. Nancy was welcoming, friendly, and full of information about the area and the city. She left out guidebooks and recent articles, which we found helpful. The scones she left us on Sunday morning were incredible! If you want to stay somewhere that's removed from the bustle of the French Quarter but still has an incredibly unique and New Orleans feel, then contact Neil and Nancy. The walk to Magazine St. and the beautiful homes in the garden district is 5-10 minutes, and we found the walk to the French Quarter doable, but leave about 20 minutes. It was a quick bike ride for us, and an easy cab ride. The wedding venue behind the house is loud, but they ended long before we got home from dinner and a concert, so it wasn't an issue for us, and we enjoyed listening to the music while we enjoyed wine in the courtyard! Overall, a great stay, and I would absolutely stay here again. We hope to bring our moms back soon!

    Abigail2015-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay with Neil and Nancy was enjoyable beyond compare. The space was warm, bright, clean, inviting and downright beautiful. The decor was also inspiring and unique. To pair with a visually stunning space; the distance to all the action was just a short walk away. The location and space overall were absolutely perfect. Returning to Neil and Nancy's after our long days exploring the city was refreshing and rejuvenating. Our stay here enabled us to recharge in such a way that we were able to take full advantage of our "on the go" time without feeling burnt out. The stress of life just melts off when you come into this home :) the energy and openness of the space just puts the mind in such a great state. In addition; the hospitality and care shown by both Neil and Nancy made us feel so welcome to the city and the space. They were very responsive, flexible with our arrival/departure schedule and helpful in recommending places to visit around the city. The service we experienced here was the perfect balance of friendliness without being intrusive- they absolutely nail it. You will not find a better experience in New Orleans or better hosts who truly care about their guests and guest experience. I would recommend this airbnb to anyone looking for a relaxing space to recharge from the wonderful lively energy of New Orleans in a beautiful and caring setting.

    Danielle2017-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • Neil and Nancy's place perfectly encapsulates the essence of New Orleans in their beautiful courtyard. There are three rooms available, and we stayed in the lower, smallest room, which used to be the kitchen. The room was simple yet comfortable, and we had all of the amenities that we needed. The bathroom is shared between all of the guests, but this was not a problem; we would suggest bringing shower shoes though, as you would have to walk through the courtyard to the bathroom. All in all, the room and courtyard were gorgeous and deserving of 5/5 stars. However, what really pushed their Airbnb over the top was Neil's hospitality. We only saw Nancy when we were leaving, but Neil was so accommodating to us. For instance, we were getting bitten by a few mosquitoes (welcome to New Orleans), so he gave us a large standing fan and provided us with bug spray, which instantly solved the issue. Our room was stocked with some wonderful refreshments, which we absolutely loved. Lastly, and most amazingly, Neil had some free time on our last day and gave us a ride to the City Park, providing us with a little bit of a driving tour as well on our way there. If we could, we would definitely give their place 6 stars out of 5 due to the authentic feel of their home and the hospitality that was shared with us.

    Alyssa2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Neil and Nancy were very pleasant, helpful, and accommodating. Our room was clean, adorable, and stocked with nice welcome snacks and drinks. Would highly recommend this listing.

Cozy one bedroom with two single beds with private kitchen and private bathroom. Located just across the Mississippi river 10 minute drive to downtown New Orleans and French quarter . Private parking in quiet area .walking distance to levee overlooking Mississippi River.
Located in the quiet area of Algiers . Algiers is the second oldest neighborhood in the city of New Orleans. You can walk five minutes to the levee that overlooks the Mississippi River while watching the cruise ships coming and leaving or you can walk along the levee path for about twenty five minutes and ferry over (about five to eight minutes) the Mississippi River and exit off to all the action of New Orleans CBD(central business district), French Quarter, Harrahs casino, the River outlet mall and more! Or you can choose to stay on the Algiers side of the River and enjoy the quiet neighborhood of Algiers with its quaint little shops , neighborhood bars and old historic houses. Whatever your fancy is we have it here in the city of New Orleans. You have your own private entrance. Your own private bathroom, own private kitchen. My house is very old and can become quite drafty when elements change. There is an window air conditioner for the summer and a space heater and blankets for the cooler months. If you would like to park your car in my fenced in yard while your traveling (i.e. cruising ) it’s a fee of $10 per day
In a quiet area but only 10 minutes to downtown and French quarter.
  • This place is great! Very clean, and a huge kitchen. Very close to the bus and ferry. The host is great as well. Very easy to get in touch with if you have any questions.

  • Reaux's place is a great choice for enjoying some quiet while you're staying in New Orleans. We took the ferry several times (about a 20 minute stroll and an amazing sunset over NOLA picture walk). We Ubered several times. Across town (to festival grounds) was $12 from Frenchman St. was $9. Can't beat it. Reaux is very, very helpful if you need anything. The house has just about everything you need or want while away from home (from snacks and waters from previous guests and Reaux, to a well stocked bathroom, coffee, etc.). Back porch is an awesome place to revisit the amazing moments from your NOLA stay with your people.

    Amber2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • The house is only 15 minutes away from the French Quarter which was exactly what I was looking for (not in the Quarter but close enough). The host was just wonderful! Very thoughtful. The house was clean and in good condition. I highly recommend this host :)

  • Reaux's place is the perfect HQ for a trip to New Orleans! Close enough to make going into the French Quarter no hassle, and far enough to get some quiet. Reaux is communicative and helpful, and the bedroom is blessed with the best A/C ever! My friend and I had a wonderful experience!

    Austin2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Reaux was a great host. The area was equipped with everything needed for a great stay. She truly went above and beyond including the small details that one often overlooks when traveling. Highly recommended!!!

  • Very hospitable, would strongly recommend

    Megan2017-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was a perfect place for us to stay for a quiet weekend in New Orleans. The accommodations were clean, well-supplied, and comfortable. It is good for 2 people. Being located in a quiet neighborhood across the river from the main part of New Orleans made it perfect. It is located about 1 mile from a ferry that takes 5 minutes to get to Harrah's casino, which is a central point for a lot of downtown N.O. We felt quite steeped in true New Orleans culture, away from the glammer and glitz.

    Jayne2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Well decorated with good touches and convenient to Mardi Gras events. We paid for a parking space for the 4 days we were there in the FQ so it was easy to drive back and forth downtown without getting caught in traffic.

At this Sonder, you'll love the modern kitchen, spacious bedrooms, and front porch. At this bi-level apartment, take in the sights of New Orleans' Lower Garden District from the balcony!
Every booking is instantly confirmed. Every call or message is answered within minutes. Every home is equipped with crisp linens, high-speed Wi-Fi, and kitchen and bath essentials—everything you need for an exceptional stay.
There's plenty to do within walking distance. Try out Emeril's or Pêche Seafood Grill. There's shopping nearby at Riverwalk. The Lower Garden District (LGD), developed in the early 19th century, boasts elegant mansions and the grand Coliseum Square. It's a vibrant neighborhood with a funky commercial zone, including restaurants, galleries, boutiques and salons.
  • I would recommend this place to anyone anytime, outstanding.

    William2018-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice property, recently renovated and modern. Short walk to the Warehouse District and Lower Garden District shops and restaurants. 20 minute walk to the French Quarter.

    Derek2018-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • This flat was amazing. It had everything we needed and more with so many additional amenities (shampoo, soap, dishwasher and laundry tablets). It was exactly was was described. The French quarter was about a $10 uber ride away. Sonder had great customer service, we accidentally broke a glass and when we emailed them to let Ben know they responded almost immediately and offered to replace it within a few hours. I would definitely book this place again when I come back.

  • Perfect place to stay in Nola

    Meghan2018-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely apartment in fairly nice location that is walkable (half mile) to St Charles, Magazine and (1 mile) to quarter. I didn't like dealing with a company instead of an individual as I had to register on their website and go through an extra layer of "paperwork" that I've never had to do before on airbnb. The noise from the traffic is loud so bring ear plugs to sleep. Maid showed up 30 minutes early at check out which made us feel rushed and unwelcome.

    Jill Ann2018-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • This house is a gem! It's updated, clean, stocked with all the amenities, and the two en suite bedrooms are perfect for sharing a space while allowing for privacy. Great for work trip or two couples. The Sonder team had impeccable customer service. They went above and beyond to meet every request and accommodate me and any requests I had. I would go out of my way to stay at another Sonder property. The location was perfect for attending the convention center. This does place it out of the way to the French Quarter, Marigny, and a trek to the Garden District, but a quick Lyft ride and you are there!

    Jeanne2017-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here over Easter weekend and really enjoyed our stay. Location offers easy access to both the Garden District and French Quarters. Would stay here again!

    Steven2018-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • This home was not only beautiful but incredibly comfortable. The kitchen was accommodating for our needs and we loved the little loft for the bedroom. We were grateful the couch was a pull out to really relax and watch movies at the end of the day exploring the city. The location was perfect and the neighborhood was safe, parking was never an issue. We would gladly enjoy this home again and highly recommend it to others.

    Michael2018-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great New Orleans apartment with high ceilings and much historical charm and decorative touches. The renovation is fab, and Owen’s style is tons of fun. We love the location, too - close to Magazine, Warehouse District (only 1 mile to Cochon), museums, and more. Parking was easy and we could jump on I10 or pop over to the Quarter or Mid-City in 10 minutes. We have stayed in a bunch of places in NO, LA. Mold and dampness are always an issue, whether at a high end hotel or AirBnB. This is the first place where that was not an issue. Great job, Owen!

    Catherine2018-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • We will definitely be staying at Owen’s place again! We can’t say enough about this beautiful, stylish, and comfortable space with all the amenities of home! We really enjoyed walking around the Garden district - close to Bourbon’s festivities, but this home offered a more quiet, clean, and comfortable escape! Book now - you definitely won’t regret it!

    Elise2018-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Owens place was so beautiful and stylish! It was in a great part of town so we could walk to everything and he was very personable and made sure we had everything we needed. Cannot recommend enough this place was great!

    Abigail2018-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Owen house was perfect for the stay, it was exactly as shown in the pictures, or maybe even better. It’s a short walk to magazine street for arts, shops and restaurants/bars, and easy Uber ride away to all New Orleans sights one would want to see! There is cafe just a min from the door, and is open early to late. Owen provided clear and easy to follow instructions to check-in, and was available throughout the stay for any questions, queries etc. I also ended up extending the stay for a day, and Owen was able to facilitate that very quickly which was much appreciated. The place is very thoughtfully decorated, the wifi and all amenities worked great and made the stay very comfortable! Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting New Orleans.

Just 3 blocks from the Mississippi River, this home offers plenty of space and creature comforts in Historic Algiers. Originally built in 1934, this home has undergone a complete renovation. Less than a mile from Algiers Ferry, 10 minutes from Bourbon Street via automobile, this home is sure to please. Each stay comes with a complimentary bottle of wine, 6 bottles of spring water, and $10 in gift certificates for Café Du Monde! Enjoy!
This home offers a 50" Smart TV w/Soundbar in the living room, and Smart TV's in each of the bedrooms. Each bathroom features a walk-in shower, but the master bathroom also has a large soaker bathtub, perfect for decompressing!
  • Ray's place is beautiful just like the pictures. It was raining so we ended up driving instead of walking to ferry. I did feel safe at all times and I was with my 83 year old dad. If you don't want to be in the craziness of the city, this is a perfect option.

    Christie2018-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • The house is great spacious clean. location is not the greatest next to a graveyard and across the river, there's a ferry nearby which we took most of time. There are no real close by restaurants so I suggest renting a car if you can.

    Jared2018-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • The experience was absolutely amazing and I felt like a king in this luxurious pad. All the amenities were perfect. The location is quiet. I love the design of the interior. 10/10 I would stay here again.

    Roosevelt2018-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • This place by far exceeded ALL of my expectations. The pictures of the home does not even come close to hone in on the modern features throughout the home. The home was sparkling clean and very cozy. The gift certificates to the local eatery and bottle of wine from the owner was a sweet touch. The location is a very short distance to the French Quarter. The neighborhood was very quiet and calm. I would most CERTAINLY recommend this home. This will definitely be my first choice when I revisit New Orleans.

NEWLY LISTED This charming one bedroom apartment is nestled in the heart of Downtown, New Orleans. The exposed-brick walls, floor to ceiling windows, and stunning balcony views is a must. Centrally located to major attractions like WWll museum, Convention center, the Super Dome, Lower Garden District, the French quarter and several restaurants. Super walkable location and stocked with modern touches for ultimate comfort. This house can take 4 GUESTS. The couch in the common area can be a bed.
  • This is a business district, so you are not in the heart of things, which in New Orleans may be what you want when you rest. That said, it is in a great place to launch your day with easy access to street cars, buses and Uber (always near). It was safe, quiet and stylish. Just above a cute letterpress shop and around the corner from a restaurant. The apartment itself is a stylish warehouse and West Elm style and will feel like a little pied-à-terre since many will be coming from something different. Amenities abound, all you need to worry about is your clothes. Grocery and liquor stores deliver and you have most of what you need to work a kitchen. Coffee, tea and light snack selections were welcomed. We had a great time and were thankful to have found such a great place as home base for a week. Thanks!

  • Fabulous location in a unique & charming building. Great for travelers & art lovers as it is next to the CAC and Ogden Museum. Nicely decorated & organized. I would recommend to friends and also stay again.

    Jane2018-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Domio’s place was very clean and modern. The place was well stocked with cutlery, shower gels and soaps and a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer - these especially came in handy since we had been traveling for a week or so before coming to new Orleans and needed some clothes washed. The apartment is well located with a 10-15 minute walk from Canal and Bourbon street and good restaurants. Domio was responsive to any questions we had. Would definitely return again.

    Andre2018-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • The place was extremely stylish, great lightning, clean and very well-appointed (towels, bedding, as well as coffee tabs, tea, some snacks were a very nice touch). Great location--right between the French Quarter and the Garden District, walking distance from all the best places in NOLA. The management was super responsive (only complaint, and this does not affect the review rating: management was a bit excessive on the daily "how are we doing?" texts). I highly recommend staying here.

    Tim2018-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place in a great neighborhood. Domio's place was very clean and convenient to many great restaurants and activities. There was plenty of dishes and other supplies if you are staying for longer and want to cook. Also stocked with teas, keurigs, and some water and other goodies. Loved the balcony and exposed brick! Would definitely stay here again!

    Erica2018-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was very nice. located near the trolley & museums. It is a very long flight of stairs up which wa a challenge with my heavy suitcase. There was also a dog who walked over my head barked and cried every morning at (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) am. The amenities were amazing. place well set up. Domio extremely responsive!

    Joanne2018-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as shown in photos and descriptions. Great host. Great location in NOLA, walkable to both the garden district and French Quarter.

    Joseph2017-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome location and very stylish apartment! It look exactly like the pictures. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. The description didn't mention it, but this location is literally right next door to a bar and restaurant called Flamingo A Go Go that has some pretty amazing frose. Also, it is within walking distance of several amazing restaurants and coffee shops (Willa Jean, Ruby Slipper, Pulp and Grind, Stumptown Coffee Roasters, etc) Definitely check out Willa Jean for brunch; the bbq shrimp toast is incredible! We felt very safe walking around and the keyless entry makes this airbnb the easiest and best choice. We also caught the St.Charles trolley to head up Magazine Street, which is kind of a NOLA-must. We had a great anniversary trip and will definitely be staying here again!

Private room has access to plenty of outside spaces and a pool. Behind a house in a private, gated subdivision, located right off of a busy street complete with grocery stores, restaurants, and easy access to New Orleans.
Queen size bed. Best for couples or close friends as the bathroom is not completely separate from the bedroom section.
Gated neighborhood located off of a busy street with access to grocery stores, restaurants, and department stores. About 15-20 minutes drive to New Orleans.

  • The neighborhood was gorgeous and the gated entry made me feel very safe. Was very private and quiet. The place is just big enough to sleep and shower but plenty of space outside to enjoy. You do enter through the bathroom which we did not expect but for us it wasn't a big deal. The bed was extremely comfortable.

    Terri2018-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Nice safe gated area, on the West Bank away from the noise and confusion of downtown yet close enough (6 miles) from Canal and Bourbon Street! Mom and daughter are very welcoming and place was clean, barely saw them thru our stay. Would highly recommend for couple or mom with child as safe and clean compared to downtown NOLA! Brooke also took her time to type out an itinerary for us as well as gate code and WiFi info so readily available! Her recommendation for Willie Maes Scotch House was Amazing! Hope to come back someday! DJ and I thank you!

    Moni2018-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Brooke is an amazing host. She provided all the instructions during check-in (gate code, WiFi password, keys, suggestions on restaurants, etc). Responses were quick and informative. Her place is cozy, super clean, quiet, and very private. The gated community is very beautiful and safe. The bed was super soft and comfortable providing a great night’s sleep! There are many decorative touches throughout the space and plenty of books to read! Overall, this is a great place to stay and the value is amazing! Definitely plan to stay here again. :)

You'll love the spacious layout, gorgeous windows, and high ceilings. Located in the Central Business District, you're steps from a streetcar stop, just a block away from The National WWII Museum, and a short walk from the Mississippi River. Modern kitchen and bathroom finishes will add to your experience during your stay in New Orleans. Perfect apartment for your NOLA getaway!
  • We loved our stay at dominos apartment. It was clean large and stylish. We easily slept 5 people. And it was a short walk to the convention center and for those not afraid of a little bit of a walk bourbon street wasn’t too far either. Parking was our only issue. We got a couple parking tickets, not a lot of street parking for free in the area, and it was kind of confusing as to where was free and where was not. But other than that we had a fantastic time. And would definitely recommend it.

Right near the WWII museum and some good restaurants in the warehouse district. No nearby supermarket. Run by a group, so no in person check-in. Nearly instant response to inquiries.

  • This place was fantastic! Very spacious for a group of four. The pictures are representative of what is to be expected plus more. Location was perfect for walking in the Central Business District and a short Lyft away from everything else. Would definitely recommend!

  • We enjoyed our stay at Daniel's! The pictures don't do his home justice, it is so beautiful. Daniel was easy to contact and he was very accommodating. He was very friendly and more than happy to provide tips for the local places to eat at. It is a little outside of French quarter but a ferry ride or a short uber trip will get you to where you need to go! I would recommend this place

    Liv2018-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Danny is a gracious and considerate host. His shotgun house is homely and inviting. Greta is a tranquil residential neighborhood, and it's easy to get a good night's rest there. If you stay there, definitely hit up Seersuckers (just 2-3 blocks away) for unbeatable po-boys and pudding.

    Robin2018-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed in NOLA for a few days for a conference at the Ernst Morial Conference Centre. Danny’s place is conveniently located about 6-8 minutes drive from the venue. It’s in a quiet neighbourhood - close enough to French Quarter but distant from the hustle and bustle. His home is ah-mazing! The room and amenities were great. Danny’s also super knowledgeable about things to do and see while visiting. Highly recommended!

    Nicholas2018-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Daniel’s home was beautiful and kept clean. I had last minute changes and he was able to accommodate. He responded quickly to my questions and provided information to enjoy NOLA. I would recommend this place if you’re looking for a quiet night after a busy day.

    Carlos2018-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • Daniel's place was AMAZING!! My friend and I stayed for two nights. Daniel was very polite and helpful and even gave tips on places to eat and other local places to visit. Daniel's place was spotless and he even went so far as to have complementary snacks available to us. The time he has put into decorating is outstanding. My friend and I took several scenic pictures. Our check out was very smooth and so was our check in. I cannot say enough about the hospitality and quality of our stay. The neighborhood was very safe and at no time did my friend and I feel that we were in danger. Daniel was very knowledgeable about the history of the house and its surroundings. I will be staying at Daniel's again in the near future. If I had to make any suggestions the only suggestion I would make is for there to be a body mirror somewhere in the house for guests. I had the absolute best experience here and definitely got my money's worth!!!

  • Danny was super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable of the area. His place is clean and he gives you plenty of privacy. Being near the ferry saves you money and hassle going to the French Quarter instead of having to worry about parking.

  • Danny B was an amazing host, his house/area was very beautiful. With little to no traffic, his house is within 15 minutes of the city which is super convenient. Also the bed he provided was very comfortable. 10/10 would stay again!

  • Nick and Lindsay have been my first experience on Airbnb. They have been very welcoming and ready to make my stay in Nola memorable. The house is exactly as described, clean, close to the French quarter , located in a safe neighborhood and with plenty of parking.

    Alberto2016-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Probably the best airbnb experience I've had. Their home is cool and the proximity to the french quarter and frenchmen street is insanely convenient. Also great value!

    Griffen2017-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved staying here. Great location. Plenty of privacy, yet Lindsey was available for any questions or suggestions for fun things to do. Great neighborhood.

    Anna2016-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Nick and Lindsay have a nice, laid back home in a hipster area east of the Quarter. I was only there briefly and unfortunately did not get to meet Nick. However Lindsay met me upon arrival, all smiles and friendly, showed me around and gave me my key. I had the upstairs to myself and used the living room one night to catch up on emails. The location is great: about 15 minutes walk to the Quarter and just around the block from a 24 hour small grocery store. For a really chilled-out and relaxed stay I would recommend this home.

    Jim2015-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Nick & Lindsay were gracious and friendly hosts. Great communication and very responsive. The location is close enough to the French Quartet to walk but far enough to be quiet. Clean space with fun decor!

    Eli2018-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • Nick & Lindsay went out of town unexpectedly but their parents were there to greet us and give us everything we need to know. The house was great, we only stayed in one room but it is a bargain for two couples. Short walk to Frenchmen Street and about 20 minute walk to Bourbon St. Accommodations were perfect.

    Kate2016-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • Nick and Lindsay are a beautiful couple and very kind hosts. Their home is wonderful, furnished with style. The bedroom is comfortable and clean. The French quarter is about 20 minutes walk Frenchman Street and less than 10, and the neighborhood is safe and enjoyable. Parking is convenient right in front of the house. They are true New Orleans lovers and they will provide interesting and useful information on where to go. I recommend this accommodation, especially to those who love the retro style that characterizes them and their home. We loved it!

    Valentina2013-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • I planned a girl's trip for my bday in New Orelans (it was three of us) and came across Nick and Lindsay's beautiful home. We had a wonderful time in NOLA, and Nick greeted us at the door and was so friendly!! He gave great recommendations on places to go, and gave us the tour of their home, they were the most gracious hosts. The neighborhood is great! It is near the Frenchman's area which is my favorite area in NOLA, and not too far from Bourbon street if you wish to go there. Upon Nick's suggestion we walked to Booty's street food restaurant and it was absolutely delicious! The rooms were super clean and comfy! I'd definitely stay with Nick and Lindsay again!

  • Jamie's home was a great place to stay in New Orleans. I was there in town for a conference in Convention center. And this place was very close and welcoming. It was clean, checking in was easy, and Jamie answered any questions quickly. Look forward to staying here again!

  • Jamie’s cottage was exceptional! The house exceeded our expectations, it was beautiful and quaint. Jamie herself was nothing but kind and attentive. The location is just across the bridge from downtown, a quick $10 Uber to head to Bourbon St. If we were ever passing through NOLA again, we would love to rent this cottage again. Thank you, Jamie!

  • I really enjoyed staying at Jamie’s house. It gave me a great feel for how New Orleans architecture and decor is.

  • Very nice host and house! Really enjoyed the location. It is just outside the city so very relaxed and safe neighborhood. Was around a 12 dollar, 10 minutes or so, uber ride into city or you can park for free and ride the ferry across river which was neat!

Circa 1834 row house ground floor suite with full bathroom, private street entrance and courtyard access. Cypress beams, bricks, artwork, books and modern amenities surround you in this unique contemporary restoration. 2 blocks from convention hall.
The Courtyard Suite has been recently restored and renovated with all new contemporary fixtures and appliances. Our restoration and renovation included reworking the mechanical and energy systems. The new bathroom and kitchen both have new energy and water saving appliances. Principal in our effort was to rethink the HVAC system. We have a Mitsubishi ductless mini split ac/heater that replaces an outdated central system without compromising seasonal comfort. It operates on a fraction of the energy. Remote controlled ceiling fans assist in the comfort of the spaces. The kitchen is furnished with everything you'll need for your stay. The bedroom comes with a new mattress, linens, pillows and towels. The restoration included exposing the beautiful cypress beams and brick work that are the building's structural materials. In contrast, custom paneling, glass corner transoms, 10' ceilings create a truly unique setting of comfort and style. We take pride in our home and make sure all our rooms are clean, safe and comfortable.
During business hours 8-5 you can hear trains, ships and trucks coming and going to our busy port. After hours 5pm and on weekends though, you may be serenaded by song birds, flocks of Monk Parrots in the Palm trees or live jazz bands, entertaining guests next door at Race & Religious, a wedding venue. Canal Street and the French Quarter are just a 20 minute walk, passing homes parks, museums and hotels along the way. Only a 5 minute walk puts you at the beginning of Magazine Street and a delightful collection of boutiques, galleries, restaurants and bars that continue up river 5 miles all the way to Audubon Park. A Super Walmart is 4 blocks up Tchoupitoulas St. on the river. If you need anything.
  • Staying here was the best part of the trip! It's a magical place to stay - historic, charming, welcoming. A home away from home located close to Magazine St. and the French Quarter, and a short walk from Coliseum Square Park. Niel and Nancy are incredible hosts. Highly recommended!!

    Reno2016-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • This place is perfection. We were in town for a convention and we were able to walkover every day and for events at night over at the convention center. Great restaurants were just a few minutes drive as well! The home itself feels so true to New Orleans and everything is perfectly described in the listing. You couldn't ask for better host than Neil and Nancy.

    Stephanie2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed in Neil and Nancy’s suite for a week and enjoyed the accommodations. The AirBnB was exactly what the AirBnB photos depict. It’s full of character, the opposite of staying at a hotel. Once I arrived, Neil greeted me with the keys and gave me a tour of the property. Neil and Nancy recently remodeled the kitchen and bathrooms with a contemporary touch, that meshes with the restoration-themed furnishings. The ambiance was very relaxing, laid back, European-like, almost like the feeling of waking up on a Saturday. The refrigerator was stocked with water, fresh fruits, milk, and beer. Everything I needed during the week was available. This AirBnB was central to all the main attractions for me - a 5 to 10 minute drive to the French Quarter, walkable or bike-able to the Convention Center (bikes are available to borrow), conveniently less than 45 seconds from the 90 highway towards the West Bank. I would recommend it to travelers who are visiting New Orleans for a conference or pleasure. Tip: Tchoupitoulas Street can get a bit loud due to traffic as early as 6am. It’s right next to the Mississippi River. If you’re a light sleeper, consider bringing earplugs.

  • 1503 Tchoupitoulas suite is a sacred place my husband and I will hold in our hearts. We made sweet memories there and hope to make more soon. Visually, the suite captured our attention immediately. The ingenuity of what Neil and Nancy brought to the space was well thought out. (I must admit, the artist and romantic in me was moved by their sense of aesthetics.) The high ceilings had incredible exposed cypress beams, the matching fire places on either side of the room and gorgeous paintings delighted our senses. Neil and Nancy were the perfect hosts: warm, accommodating, knowledgeable, and gave us our privacy. Our expectations were met and we are so grateful to have met such a lovely couple.

    Christine2017-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Nancy and Neil's place. It was conveniently located for our show at the convention center (right across the street). The kitchen was nicely stocked and our guests added a nice touch with a french press, coffee and creamer. There were cold beers, yogurt, muffins, butter, marmalade in the refrigerator upon arrival. There is a Blue Bikes Nola rack about 2 short blocks so it's easy to travel into the warehouse district and french quarter by commuter bike and Lyft's were just 4-5 minutes out. The patio out back is perfect for a afternoon glass of wine or morning coffee. Just perfect for our stay. Why visit NO and stay at a chain when you can get the real feel of NOLA at Nancy and Neil's.

    Kelli2018-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Neil and Nancy's. The suite was clean, beautiful, and stocked with the necessary commodities. My husband and I would recommend staying with them to anyone.

  • As a regular visitor to New Orleans, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay ! The courtyard suite was fantastic, lovely design and classic New Orleans architecture. I debated between hotel suites downtown and was so glad I chose Neil and Nancy's place. The location is fantastic with on street parking and so many restaurants close by made for a great weekend. Visiting friends in uptown over the weekend and showing them pictures of 1503 Tchapitoulas they were blown away. Local friends remarked they were going to save that address and recommend it to their friends visiting New Orleans as well saying that the neighborhood was really nice safe close to everything as well. I Will definitely be coming back to stay on my return visits. Steve

  • Had a great long weekend in New Orleans. Very comfortable and very clean just as described. Everything provided for a very comfortable stay. My 1st experience with a coffee French Press! Nancy was a great host, very much enjoyed talking with her. The location is very centrally located for what we had planned. Biking up Magazine Street, then to Frenchman Street Sat night. Great place. Thank you.

This is a beautiful place even better in person. The neighborhood was great with ample parking and the family was super thoughtful in making us beignets and even invited us to their steak and lobster dinner. Hands down a great choice. You won't be disappointed and the music was a great touch!
