Private entrance out back, winter access thru the garage. Laundry facilities in the garage. Driveway parking. Well behaved dogs are welcome - see rules. Fenced backyard with fire pit. 3 1/2 miles North off US-2 Perfectly nested in a beautiful country setting with pull in driveway with a large area for parking. Plenty of FREE firewood for the firepit for relaxing around a fire in the evening under the stars. Maple Leaf is centrally located 1 hour or less to U.P. attractions. South Manistique Lake which is 2 miles north of cottage. You can access the trails from the south of cottage 300 feet on a scenic trail in the woods about 2 miles turn left or right to find the trails.

Enjoy summer days or wintry splendor. We are located in a rustic area of northwest Michigan, 15 miles north of Harbor Springs, within 2 miles of the Tunnel of Trees. We are conveniently located for nature preserves, hiking trails, beautiful beaches, ski slopes, and Mackinaw Island. Our home is attached to the guest suite but guests access their suite via a secured private entrance. Our equipped kitchen has a pantry, fresh farm eggs, butter, a home-baked item, ground coffee, and teas.

The Rhubarbary Ruins - with an outdoor sauna

We have just added an outdoor sauna to this fabulous cabin in the woods behind our house. Although there is only 1 proper bedroom there is a sleeping loft with a queen size bed and window overlooking the hardwood forest. We also have a pull-out couch. Guests have complete privacy and everything provided for a comfortable stay This is a cabin with peaceful relaxation in mind....no loud parties or anything of that nature. Come and enjoy northern Michigan's beauty in all seasons.

The Cabin

Our cabin is conveniently located directly across from the groomed snowmobile trail. Centrally located for easy access to Tahquamenon Falls, Pictured Rocks, the Soo Locks, and Oswald's Bear Ranch. Midway between Lakes Superior and Michigan with many inland lakes. New flooring and a full size fold out couch were added in the beginning of 2025. We can now accommodate 5-6 guests.
