Absolutely loved our stay here! Would highly recommend stopping here if you’re travelling the Trans Canada Highway. The property sits right on the Mississaugi River and provides regular sightings of bald eagles. The house was extremely cozy and felt like home, with incredible views of the river from the backside of the house. We will definitely stay again on our next Ontario trip! Additional: We saw over 20 different bald eagles along the river on our drive out from the property! Absolutely incredible.

We had a great stay here while visiting Elliott Lake. There was some confusion upon arrival - the key was in a lock box and the code was unknown. I messaged Waleed and in the meantime called the number on the airbnb reservation - Ray answered and said he didn't manage the property any longer. He did offer to reach out to Waleed and quickly called me back with the code to the lockbox - all went smoothly after that.

Great place to stay, good quality cookware exc.. Snowmobile Trail is very close and easy to get on. Exactly what we were after. The place was clean and comfy.

I felt at home from the time we entered the property. The cottage was very spacious and had a lot of natural light coming in. The sunroom/ living room was my favorite. You felt even when you were inside, you were still connected to the outside with all the windows. Outside it had a large deck, with a covered portion, and step down you could sunbath. The lake side was amazing, having crystal clear water and paddle boards, kayaks and a canoe. If that wasn’t enough, there was an amazing sauna that also had windows that allowed you to see the kids swimming in the lake. Bridal veil falls and the cup and saucer trails are really close by, which makes this property amazing. I will definitely book this property again.

Wilda offered the perfect environment for our employee while he was away on an extended work trip. Wilda is patient, understanding and an overall lovely host.

Our family had an amazing time. Zorica was incredibly responsive and helpful with all of our questions. The kids loved swimming in the water. MAKE SURE TO BRING WATER SHOES! Water pressure was excellent. We had three sunny days and were fine for power. My children are already asking if we can come back next summer. We would highly recommend to families looking for something remote...but not too remote. The town of Spanish is very close with essentials accessible. We were grateful for our time at Serpent River. Can't wait to return.

Oriental rugs and stocked bookcases. Close encounters with hummingbirds, chipmunks and phoebes. Cool, shady verandahs and dark, starry skies. Espresso coffee and organic markets nearby. Much to love about this place.

This is a beautiful rustic cabin in an incredible scenic location. The house is well-equipped with everything you could need, conveniently located just off of Highway 17. We enjoyed relaxing on the dock, having campfires and enjoying the incredible night sky. Not a long drive to Iron Bridge or Thessalon for food and supplies. The access to the lake and scenic woods surrounding the cabin are fantastic. Karen was very helpful with information on the house and local wildlife. We had a great time!

very beautiful place i felt wo comfterble staying here and the host is very helpful and nice. always making sure everything was good!

Had a miscommunication about my room number, as our keys were not there (another guest took our room by accident). Host was apologetic, very accommodating, polite and assertive. My partner and I were comfortable and satisfied with the hospitality. Room was clean and was exactly what we expected. Definitely would recommend and/or stay again.

A very nice stay. House was clean and spacious. Bed and linens were super comfortable. James was very quick to respond to questions. Would stay here again without hesitation. Highly recommend!
