Built originally in the late 1800's and renovated by us in 1991, Yoder School became our home. In later years we converted part of the building into this peaceful getaway. Opportunities for outdoor activities abound. Fantastic road cycling with Strava routes start right here! Just a short drive away great mountain biking, hiking, cross country and downhill skiing, and white water rafting are yours to enjoy. Our house in Meyersdale is a single-family house just a block from the GAP bike trail on a quiet street and walking distance to the middle of town. The house is ideal for travelers riding the GAP, skiers visiting the slopes nearby, or those looking for some quiet time in the country. Ideal for individuals or small families. (Pls note: Trains come through town and the whistles can be heard during the day or night. There is also a fire whistle to alert volunteers to emergencies.)

Pap's Place

Pap’s Place is a single-wide mobile home that has been recently renovated. This property is named after the former owner, Warren Sterner, affectionately called “Pap” by his grandchildren. Warren was a railroad enthusiast. He could never work on the railroad due to the loss of an eye at a young age. This home has been decorated with prints of railroad and local scenes that Warren painted during his life.
