We are tucked away in the hill country on the West fork of the Frio River. Even in this recent dry summer (2022), we still have running water in our river spot! We are North of Leakey, on a private 5.5 acre lot, with no neighbors. We are a short drive away from: Concan, Garner S.P. and Lost Maples. Relax in the peaceful hill country or cool off in the river

You are within 18 miles of the Concan area. Your stay here at our bunkhouse will be safe, quiet, and peaceful.

My place is close to family-friendly activities, Garner state park (3 miles), Lost Maples state park, Frio river crossings, Leakey, Concan, Utopia, Kerrville, Uvalde, three sisters bike roads. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets), Pets are an additional $15 per pet, per night. Pets Fees billed after you book, b/c there is no option on Airbnb. The Cozy is located towards the front of our 17 acres about 75 ft from Hwy 83.

The Texas hunting lodge is comfortable, quaint and homey. We like to call it our Hunter’s Cabin. There are 2 bedrooms, with a full bathroom and shower. There is a large great-room, dining area, and all the amenities of home at your disposal. Just sit back and relax, or enjoy the view of exotic wildlife & the amazing stars at night from the deck. On the back of the cabin is a deck, the perfect spot to take in a Texas sunset or sunrise while enjoying a cup of coffee.

Idyllic 8 Acre Private River Front-Rio Escondido

Nomad Ranch is an idyllic 8 acres with over 300 feet of stunning secluded Nueces River frontage. Rio Escondido cottage is 640 sq. ft. and offers three bedrooms {one loft}, one bath, sleeps 7. Two queens, three singles. Nestled near the largest Oak on the property, Rio Escondido has a full kitchen, living room and a front porch overlooking the river. Just outside the cottage doors is Nomad's rustic open air barn, perfect for relaxing, playing games and dining.

If you are looking for a peaceful weekend, this is your spot. You won't see many cars pass by on Ranch Road 336. You will see deer, cattle, birds and other wildlife. Star gazing at night is a treat! The property is 18 miles north of Leakey, so it is easy to get to the Frio River and find good places to eat or drive to one of the state parks nearby. Garner State Park and Los Maples are fun day trips.
