At only five miles from the popular John o Groats signpost, Jo and Karina would love to welcome you at one of three cozy self-catering glamping pods at The Crofter's Snug - lots of local area info on our website. Located at the top of Scotland you'll enjoy one of the best views in the area - even the locals are envious! One mile off the popular NC500 tourist route, our two pods and a Shepherd's Hut offer peace and quiet in an idyllic location with some amazing sunrises, sunsets and starry skies.

The Hide - off-grid-ish woodland cabin near NC500

The Hide is a super get-away for anyone travelling around Scotland on the NC500 or on your own adventure looking for a unique stay. Almost off-grid, it has a comfy bed, central woodburner and spectacular view. It's the perfect stepping stone towards the full off-grid experience, intended for people who are curious about living the off-grid lifestyle but also like to be able to charge their phone, boil a kettle and have a hot shower! The Byre is a unique studio converted from a barn and is perfect for a peaceful break or romantic getaway! A comfortable hotel quality double mattress in self catering accommodation with stunning views of the sea and islands and within easy walk of a shop and beaches. A small but well equipped kitchenette with microwave, induction hob and small oven. Plenty of hot water. A woodburner and 2 heaters. Dogs welcome but 2 max due to restricted space. Great location as a base to explore.

Old country cottage built in 1873 set in the small village of Melvich with amazing coastal views and breathtaking scenery. On the North Coast 500 route, this property offers an ideal location for exploring both Caithness and Sutherland. Melvich boasts a sandy beach within a 5 minute walk from the cottage. This property has a private and enclosed garden with private parking. There is an open fire in the living room which would be set by the host. Dog friendly, max 2 dogs.

Ideally situated for exploring the north of Sutherland and Caithness, this area is popular for walking, fishing, surfing, golfing and has one of the most beautiful beaches in the area!

A luxuriously appointed property situated on the NC500 overlooking some of the most iconic mountains and sea lochs of Assynt. Kylesku Kabin has been fully renovated by acclaimed architect Helen Lucas and is owned by the previous owners of the nationally recognised multi-award winning Kylesku Hotel, which is within walking distance. The property features a luxurious spa bathroom, including steam room and inspirational open plan living space, designer kitchen and garden.

The Wee Housie

A warm welcome, always, awaits you at our family ran apartment. There is a 2 ceramic hob rings with microwave oven, giving you the option to either eat out or have a cosy meal in. Ensuite bathroom, tv, double sofa bed and a single bed. Linen and towels provided. We are dog friendly but due to the small space this is at our discretion but please enquire prior to booking. We accommodate two people maximum with the choice of a sofa bed and/or single bed.
