Lovely place. Walking distance to restaurants. I won't recommend the stairs for small children but was perfect for our 10 and 12 year olds

What an outstanding place to start a visit in South Africa, leaving Johannesburg Airport towards the Kruger Park ! That's we did. Waterval Boven is without any doubt the first touch ton understand the very troubled and violent story of the country but also all the hopes placed on the shoulders of the oncoming generations. Let you go and taste Quinton's delicious meals. And listen to him telling the story of his beloved country. And help what he does for the township down to the village. Let you go and share a moment with Norma's experience of her beloved country she knows so well. And let you go to order Holger some drinks or local craft beers. The scenery from the terrace and the garden is not a movie ! Relax and get fresh air but don't stay less than two nights. This is a warm advice of our family with kids of 19, 17 and 14. The Vanniers

Beautiful, the perfect place to get away to , wish i would’ve booked longer cause it’s very comfortable and everything is walking distance which was amazing , will definitely be returning soon!

We had such a wonderful stay with Kathy and Keith! From the moment we arrived, we felt safe, welcomed, and genuinely cared for. Their hospitality was above and beyond — thoughtful, warm, and full of personal touches that made our time there extra special. The location is amazing — it’s very close to town, which is super convenient, yet the property feels like a peaceful oasis tucked far away from it all. The views are tranquil and the atmosphere incredibly calming — perfect for a relaxing escape. We truly felt at home and part of the family. Thank you both for making our stay so memorable! The accommodation was spotless and had everything we needed, including a fully-equipped kitchen and comfortable bed. We enjoyed the outdoor seating area, perfect for a glass of wine in the evening. Craig even left us some firewood, which was a lovely touch. We'd definitely stay here again and explore more of the local area.
