About 45 minutes from Shreveport/Bossier City, our lake house is located on a quiet curve of Lake Bistineau, known for its Spanish Moss-draped cypress trees and lovely sunsets. Please note that the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries has begun the annual drawdown to try to control the giant Sylvania weed. We can always see water from our property, but the water’s edge is out past the trees. Great for a walk in the lakebed! also, please check out our neighboring property, Shades of Blue!

Dr. Milton Richardson owned this home from 1963-1989 during which time he, along with his brother, Tom and father Sam, also doctors, started the Minden Medical Center, just a short walk down the street! The Blue House on Cross Lake

This cottage was built circa 1926 on Cross Lake as the home for Lonnie Erwin who owned a catfish restaurant next to his home. Back in the day it was popular to drive up from Shreveport if they caught enough catfish to serve. The restaurant closed in the mid 1940s and it and the cottage fell into disrepair. We renovated the cottage and restaurant (also on Airbnb as The Red House on Cross Lake) and brought them up to date.

The Coleman Landing

Welcome to The Coleman Landing! We generally refer to this as our ‘townhouse’ because it is our house that is in town and we are excited to share it with you! Although it is located just blocks from historic downtown, it’s very peaceful and spacious! Whether it’s rocking on the front porch, grilling in the outdoor kitchen or relaxing in the hot tub, this fully furnished space has all the comforts of home away from home!

Relax with the family at this peaceful place to stay with boat ramp access to beautiful Lake Claiborne. Large covered porch. Great for grilling and spending time with family. 3 car/boat covered parking. All amenities provided except food and drinks. Absolutely no smoking inside. Quiet time after 10pm is a must!

Lake Front Cabin

Our 1 Bedroom Cabin is over the water on Lake Claiborne. Very Clean swimming area with great views of the lake. Boat ramp and dock for guest use. Can sleep up to 7 with ease. Easy to access the cabin for people who have trouble with steps. There is only one step up from ground level into the cabin.

Barbs Retreat

Great spot for fishing and hunting. It's located by Lake Bistineau , 1 mile from a public boat launch. Not far from the Loggy Bayou wildlife management preserve. House does have a 30-amp Rv hookup for additional space., with no septic.
