Misty Mountain Hut-Ruapehu is located in the sleepy little village of Rangataua, 5 minutes distance to Mountain road going up to the Turoa skifield and Ohakune. The 1 bedroom colonial villa has a beautiful view of the mountain. Unlimited wifi and a new firebox with plenty of firewood and a heat pump ensure you are warm in winter. My favourite time here is summer for amazing walks/cycling up mountains to enjoy majestic views. Misty Mountain Hut supports local staff by paying $40/hr for cleaning.

A cosy, two bedroom, centrally heated unit. Enjoy the large geothermal hot pool after a long day. A full size pool table, smart tv, wifi. A small kitchenette for light meals and snacks, plus a we private cottage garden to enjoy native birds and trees. Taupo is 50 minutes drive from our home. We are in easy reach of some of NZ's' most stunning hikes. An Easy 40 minutes to Whakapapa ski field and Tongariro Crossing, local river walks, supermarket and eateries 10 mins. Comfortable cosy cottage beside Mt Ruapehu. Ideal for bikers, Tongariro Crossing hikers or photographers exploring the local scenery. Independent so you can come and go at will. Full kitchen (though basic with retro fridge and no dishwasher), TV, DVDs and Chromecast, unlimited wifi, laundry, heating & aircon. One double room and one room with 2 singles (that can push together), plus a couch bed in the living room and a travel cot. From mid-May to Oct book 'Shannon Cottage (winter)' instead.
