Sleeps 4 (1 queen-sized bed, one double-sized sofa bed). Positioned at the gateway to Jedediah Smith Redwoods—Howland Hill Road starts here. 5 minutes to Smith River boat launch. Minutes to Stout Grove, Boy Scout Trail, and epic swimming holes . Hike at dawn, swim till your legs shake, fire at sunset. You're positioned perfectly. Come decompress.

Smith River - Riverfront Retreat

Located on the beautiful Smith River*. Fully furnished. 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom. Spacious living room with large windows providing beautiful views of the the river. Refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, blender, toaster, ironing board/iron, washer and dryer. Wifi, Roku with streaming channels (bring your login info for Hulu, Amazon, Netflix, etc). * river is not accessible from the home however there is access about 1 mile down the road. Please do not try to access river from our property.

Fern Hook Vacation Cabins are located nearby Jedidiah Smith State Park in the tiny hamlet of Hiouchi, California. Indulge yourself in a private setting of magnificent redwoods carpeted with ferns. Our newly constructed cabins with full kitchens will provide deluxe accommodations while you enjoy this natural wonderland. We are pet friendly, but require a 30$ per pet fee, for each reservation.
