The Homestead has been in our family for over 170 years. This ranch style farmhouse was built in the early 1960's. This Homestead is located on 40 acres, with over an acre here with the home. The Homestead features 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bath, with an open area to the living, kitchen, and dining area. The house is partially carpeted and ceramic tile, and is fully furnished including the kitchen. This is located out in the country surrounded by farm fields, so very peaceful and private.

This is on our farm, so be prepared to hear the sounds of our farm life; including horses neighing, cows moo-ing, donkeys braying, birds chirping, dogs, cats, ducks, geese and deer meandering about. Come enjoy the wide open country space in our quiet and peaceful guesthouse. Although you will be surrounded by solitude you will be just minutes from several towns. Enjoy the quiet of the surrounding fields and woods along with the beauty of the pond year round. The guesthouse is attached to our home but the garage is in between the two so it is very quiet for everyone. You will have your own private entrance.

Whether you are enjoying one of the eateries in Downtown Decatur, taking in a movie or simply having a drink with friends - The Nest provides a great place to stay in the middle of it all. We offer two queen sized beds in the larger of the two bedrooms and a full sized bed in the second bedroom. Large wall mounted televisions in the living room and main bedroom will provide entertainment for our guests.
