This unit is on the western end of a series of duplexes named Senedo Springs. The gravel roads up here are very walkable. It’s possible to trek down to Lake Laura although it’s a big vertical climb back up. The unit is airy and nice, better than the pictures. Thankfully there is not actually a murphy bed in the living room as shown in the pictures. The blankets are outdated so I recommend bringing your own. Plenty of cookware and dishes available but you’ll need to bring oil, spices, and all other food items. The amenities are great! It’s also nice they provide firewood just a short walk away. Good view of Great North Mountain in the winter. Amazing night sky from this location. This was our second time staying here and it kept its five-star rating!

Nice house in a great location. Close to downtown Davis and activities at Canaan resort. Kid friendly space upstairs. The kitchen has the necessities for cooking and is open to the living room. The host is responsive and was easy to communicate with.

Sparkling Bear Lodge is neat, welcoming, and has a beautiful view. My husband and I were looking for a small getaway where we could enjoy a change of pace and scenery with a solid internet connection and a view we wouldn't have to sacrifice if the weather kept us inside all day. The landscaping and circular drive were very nice, the kitchen had everything we needed (including a bottle opener and a cheese grater, which we've gotten used to taking to rentals with us), the internet connection never let us down, the artwork was charming, and Bryce Mountain Escapes was friendly and quick to respond in every interaction. Loved the deck, generous windows, and open living area. We enjoyed our stay!

We had a very nice time. The place was clean and the bed were comfortable. I stayed because I was visiting my grandma outside of Philippi, I grew up playing down at Audra park and you’re literally right next to the park in this house. I highly recommend and we will stay again.

Darell and Cindy’s place exceeded our expectations. We hosted a family gathering at the home and there was ample room for us to gather on the spacious porch, play corn hole on the front lawn and dine together in the kitchen. My favorite part of the was sitting on the porch in the early morning listening to the birds. The home had ample towels, washcloths, TP, paper towels along with cooking supplies. I wish that we had more time there.

We absolutely loved this house! The kitchen was beautifully designed and incredibly well-stocked—perfect for cooking and gathering. Every detail throughout the home felt so thoughtful, from the extra touches that made our stay more comfortable to the overall cleanliness and organization. You can tell a lot of effort has been put into making guests feel welcome. The location was fantastic, just a short distance from the slopes, and the home itself was cozy, spacious, and inviting. We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to return!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Leslie’s Canaan Valley Ski Retreat, and I can't say enough good things about the experience! The house was incredibly comfortable and perfectly equipped for our needs. The location is fantastic—just a short drive to the ski slopes, making it super convenient for our winter adventures. Leslie was an outstanding host, communicating with us promptly and ensuring that the house was stocked to perfection. From kitchen essentials to cozy blankets, she truly thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable. I would highly recommend Leslie’s retreat to anyone looking for a cozy getaway in Canaan Valley. We loved our stay at Charlotte’s Web! It sits right beside the Canaan Valley Nat’l Refuge and is within a 5 min drive to Timberline Mountain. We also enjoyed hikes at Blackwater Falls, dinner and coffee in Davis, and had plenty of places to grab items we needed for meals. We felt cozy in the space, and so did our dog Roxie! The hot tub was an added treat. We hope to stay again in the not so distant future!

Shannon’s place in rural Eglon is an incredible gem! The house is spacious and comfortable, with beautiful views. Our dog loved exploring the property with us. We’ve never seen such an impressive DVD collection :) It’s a short drive to Oakland MD, Thomas, Davis, and lots of nature. Shannon is a very generous and warm host, and she was highly responsive even in the midst of winter weather. Highly recommend!

Rebekah’s place was beautiful! A great location to relax and not too far from some good food/coffee and plenty of outdoor activities. She was very responsive and helpful - and we really enjoyed it

This place is amazing in person and me and my wife hated to leave it is immaculate the owners have thought of every little detail to make your stay perfect had firewood ready and when removed the cover on fire pit it already had kindling and a fire starter ready to go a snores kit was provided it was just some small details luxurious bedding and towels just an overall great experience and we hope to return again soon!

We had a wonderful time. Sitting on the porch was so peaceful. Everything was very clean and we loved the antiques throughout the house.

Heather’s home was a perfect home base for a long weekend of XC skiing and hiking during some wild weather, and with a baby! Heather was very flexible and helpful throughout and we were big fans of the space and location; plan to visit again!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Pine Ridge Manor. The home was immaculate, decorated well, and was a very secluded place to stay and unwind. We enjoyed the games, pool table, and the hot tub in the evening. We appreciated the added amenities such as snacks, a coffee bar, and supplies you can use for cooking. From the Manor, you have beautiful views. The hosts responded quickly to our questions about the area and other general information.
