Such a unique and historical home. We really enjoyed the space and being able to flip through the history and all the old books. Very great find.

Greg and Tammy are the most attentive hosts we've ever encountered in a rental property. Greg is the only host who phoned us ahead of our arrival to clarify directions and welcome us, answering any questions we might have had. We enjoyed the private gaited estate and the security it offered for our safety. We marveled at the landscape of "tall trees", the river front, pond and wild life, not to mention the farm chickens, horses and beautiful birds. The guest house gourmet kitchen was equipped with every type of cooking utensil possible! Every area was clean, the towels are the best I've ever used! Any request we had for additional items was graciously fulfilled. You won't find a better rental property and we are sure to return many times to come!

Host was a great communicator & very accommodating. Our family of 4 absolutely loved this cottage/property. Highlights for us were the sweetest & friendliest horse & pony in the backyard, the patio table/outdoor area for meals/family time & super comfy beds at the end of the day! We only wish we’d had more time to enjoy it all longer & can’t wait to return!

Lorene’s house was beautiful. The separate thermostats made the house very comfortable, and the beds were very nice to sleep on. We felt like everything was clean and was even nicely decorated. It had that southern charm and was also updated in certain areas. We would definitely stay here again!

This cabin is a little wonder in the middle of NC forest! We loved our overnight get away. Everything was clean and just as described and pictured! Thomas had a prebuilt fire ready to go which was extremely appreciated after a long car ride. Our kiddos thought the space was super cool and enjoyed exploring around the property. Highly recommend this space to anyone looking for peace, tranquility, and a little bit of luxury out in the wilderness. :)

We had pleasant stay. They cabin was so clean and cozy. It was a quiet and peaceful area. The owner was so nice and helpful. We are already thinking of staying again sometime in the near future. Perfect getaway!

This house was perfect for our needs. My co-workers and I were in the area for a couple of weeks for work, and this house was just what we needed. It had plenty of space, and the house and property were beautiful. You can definitely tell the owners take pride in their property. We didn't have a lot of downtime, but when we did, the upstairs game room was perfect—a nice little break from the day-to-day work routine. We also had the opportunity to try our hand at fishing in their pond; although we didn't catch anything, we still had a great time. We saw deer and geese wandering the property as well. If I am ever in the area again, I will definitely look this place up.

This place is a bit of a juxtaposition because it’s a quaint, classic, cabin but in the downtown. It’s peaceful but near everything. Yes the fire dept and traffic can be a bit noisy, the stars are a spiral doozy but still a 5 star stay if you need a get away in a well decorated and arranged cabin. It’s the best of both worlds. Read the description and reviews it’s exactly as put so come prepared for the small things like the stairs. Use the noise machine at night and enjoy this 5 star cabin. Matthew did a great job. Furniture and bed are comfortable, everything was ready. Check in was easy. Awesome place!

We had the loveliest of times at The Poet’s House. The location is amazing, private, surrounded by nature but close to all we needed. The house is so beautiful, peaceful and has incredible energy, it’s beautifully decorated making it a very pleasant environment to rest and relax. The beds were very comfortable, lots of amenities, complete kitchen, extra pillows and towels, etc. The best thing is the hosts! Always responsive and kind, flexible, very helpful and welcoming. We would love to stay here again.
