AIRD VILLA, Scalpay, on the Isle of Harris

Aird Villa with its south facing decking is said to be one of the nicest houses on the Isle of Scalpay. It sits overlooking Scalpay’s quiet North Harbour where the local fishing boats are moored. From the decking it's exhilarating watching the birds & boats as you are more or less right above the water's edge. Fisherman's Cottage

Welcome to fisherman's cottage: a calm space great for families or couples. A former cow byre built in 1850, the cottage is tucked down a lane out of the worst of the winter storms. So whilst the cottage doesn’t have sea views, it overlooks our little woodland nature garden. Just five minutes from Stornaway ferry terminal and bus station, and under ten minutes by car from the airport, this cosy cottage is a great base from which to explore the Isles of Lewis and Harris.

The Yurt @ Ranish

The yurt is a tiny relaxing space . It is situated in Ranish , which is about 8 miles out of Stornoway and although it is at the back of a residential house you will feel like you are out on the crofts that surround it in this rural area of Lewis . The Croft fields around have a mixture of animals , including sheep , goats , geese , ducks & of course chickens , which can be a wee bit vocal at times . We have some very friendly chickens on the property as well .
