Stunning Burren Farmhouse, sleeps 8

'The Old Farmhouse' is located on our family run farm in the heart of the Irish countryside, just 2.5 miles from Kilfenora village. This self catering accommodation is suitable for people seeking peace and tranquillity, but also families with children. The area is peaceful and relaxing, but within easy reach of a wide variety of amenities and attractions. We provide information folders and the Jim Robinson map in the cottage. Looking forward to seeing you! Martin & Marian Barry The Burren Farm Cottages are situated on the edge of the world famous Burren region, which is an unspoiled part of Ireland. Here in the Burren, the bare exposed limestone which is up to 780 metres in thickness, covers an area of 250 square kilometres. Great slabs of rock are almost as flat and undisturbed as they were when they were formed in the warm shallow seas of the Carboniferous ocean 340 million years ago. The Burren does not mean barren; people have settled here since Stone Age times. Evidence of their habitations and tombs are all around you. The unusual flora of the Burren has attracted huge interest and attention over the years. Rare and spectacular plants grow in abundance throughout this unique limestone region. Unusual butterflies and moths feed on the flora and the hazel scrub. Pine forests give cover to the larger animals including Pine Marten.

Cullinan House also known as Traditional Farmhouse is the original farmhouse for the Cullinan family going back many generations. It now sits along side The Old Cowshed which has been converted to living accommodation. Both are set on a 20 acre traditional farm overlooking the Burren National Park. The property is 5 min by car from the Village of Corofin and 14 minutes from Ennis the county town of County Clare. The Wild Atlantic Way and Cliffs of Moher are within 20 minutes of the property.

☘'Going back in time'☘ 200 year old farmhouse

Unique accommodation 'Bunratty style' Amazing open turf fire and flagstone floor. This home with original vintage furniture will bring you back in time, when many Irish emigrated to America. Situated in beautiful tranquil farmland, beside a very quiet road. We are still farming here in an organic way and you are welcome to meet some of our animals.
