Beautiful home above a garage surrounded by amazing oak trees. Very quiet. Not directly on the water but easily accessible with access on the dock, kayaks, and paddle board. Kids and I enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others. Close to beach and good restaurants.

Stayed during a duck hunt and worked out perfect. Everything with the house was as listed. Check in was easy and instructions were clear.

This was our second time staying at Joyful Dolphins and it’s a great fit for our active family of four. The bikes were a hit and the host was helpful and responsive when we had a couple of questions. We love the easy access to the trail along the sound. The beds were comfortable and we appreciated and the additional blankets since the evenings were cool. Thank you for a great spring break trip!

Michelle’s cottage was clean and convenient. It was right on the sound with beautiful views and a private dock. The neighborhood was very quiet. Michelle was helpful and responsive and we look forward to staying there again in the future!

Shelia, We loved your house! Our family enjoyed an Easter egg hunt in the yard. Your decor is so spa like. It allows your beautiful views to be the focus. Your deck and the views are so relaxing. We did not want to leave!

We had a great stay, and highly recommend this space! Vjollca was exceptionally responsive and helpful. It was a great perk to be able to park under cover and walk right into the unit. It’s a cozy little space perfect for two!

Really enjoyed the condo it was a perfect base camp for a variety of activities in the OBX. There was a well stocked kitchen which was great as we did a lot of home meals. The condo was nicely decorated, and the beds were super comfy! James was easy to contact and communicated back quickly if asked a question. Was a great stay.

The home was very comfortable and the neighborhood was very quite. We had everything we could ask for for a relaxing week. Also enjoyed the book that was on the table. Will definitely be planning on staying here again.

We totally understand and agree with Tanya being listed as a Super Host with 5+Stars! From making the reservation until checkout, Tanya made certain that we had absolutely everything we could possibly need for our stay, from extra toiletries, beach towels, sunscreen and even a sewing kit! She is responsive to messages, provides tips and suggestions on trips, places to visit and local restaurants! The house is pristine yet feels like home! We will definitely be making many more trips and this will be our “ home away from home!”

My wife and I stayed with our two kids and my parents (and their dog) and had a great time! The house is cozy but comfortable for 6, with a good amount of living space including a very nice sunroom. Amy was friendly and helpful in our communications and proactive at checking how things were going, and helped ensure we had a nice stay the whole time. Staying on the sound was beautiful, especially the sunsets. The house is right on a great multiuse path which is perfect for walking or biking to the nearby coffee shop or for exercise. Grocery stores and restaurants are close too, as are destinations like Jockey's Ridge and the Wright Brothers memorial. Two little things that made me happy were walking past the Muscadine vine in the front yard, and the color of the mailbox: a light blue which made it unique and easy to find when driving down an unfamiliar street. If your group is the right size for it, Safe and Sound is a great place to stay, and Amy is an excellent host!

We really enjoyed our stay the beach was walking distance and we got to enjoy the hot tub will come again in the future and do recommend anyone to stay here beautiful house peaceful place and host was very kind and informative.

This home has the most amazing view! Watching the sunrise over the sound every morning was breathtaking. It is about a half hour from the entrance to the Outer Banks, but we were more than happy to trade the drive for the absolute peace and tranquility of this home's serene location. The kitchen is well appointed so we enjoyed starting and ending each day with our own homemade breakfast and dinner.

Michael was very informative and responded quickly with any questions we had . The house was in a very quiet neighborhood which made it nice to relax but still very close to a beach access .

Great place to stay in KDH! Beautiful cottage!

Very close to beach access making walking or biking easy without the need of an automobile. The turtle pond did not disappoint. Turtles everywhere and entertaining. The porch and furniture made for a perfect morning cup of (provided) coffee. Everything vacationers could ask for conveniently located within 10 minutes of the homes location. Deborah is an excellent host, responsive, helpful, and provided suggestions of places to eat and visit in the immediate area.
