This simple hut nestled into the rainforest is a birdwatcher's paradise! The property is entirely off-grid and is situated in a wildlife hotspot, with 100 acres of wet tropics rainforest connected to the World Heritage listed Maalan National Park. An ideal base for nature lovers to explore the Atherton Tableland, the bird list includes over 200 species, including Victoria's Riflebird, Blue-faced Parrot finch. Mammals include Tree kangaroos and Herbert River and Green Ringtail Possums.

Usnea, our Nature, Art and Accommodation Space, is situated on the Evelyn Tablelands, Tropical North Qld. Here a discrete self-contained one bedroom cottage in upland rainforest is surrounded by natural and established gardens, and at 1,160m provides a cool summer and cosy winter retreat. Uniquely the cottage integrates art within and outside. Contemplation, inspiration, privacy and comfort, are all to be experienced, along with exploring our forest and local environmental features.

This ground floor apartment is a quality re-development of the 1970's Old Pottery and has plenty of character + chef's kitchen A short walk to the beaches. The Old Pottery occupies the whole of the self-contained lower level of the house. Owner's accommodation upstairs may be available as an add-on extra by special arrangement. Set on 40 Private acres, this modern cabin has a separate air-cond bedroom with q/size bed. Fully equip kitchen, lounge with sofa that converts to a d/bed . Large bathroom, covered deck with stunning rural views. Private river safe swimming hole. Free wifi, smart TV,netfix. . We do have 2 more cabins on the property for larger groups or separate families, Located 20 mins from Innisfail, 7mins from Paronella Park. Due to Covid 19 we no longer provide breakfast.

Please enjoy our homage to the history of beach-style hideaway, reminiscent of the 1950's in tropical Far North Queensland. We are close to many well known National Parks rainforest walks and Etty Bay which is a Qld Surf Life Saving patrolled beach with a stinger enclosure.

Mission Beach Farmstay

Daily rate is for a couple using the king bedroom. If you want to use an extra bedroom, it is $30 per person per night. Book at the extra person rate. Modern cottage in traditional Queenslander style, just a few minutes drive to the beach, to cafes, restaurants and retail shops. Relax on our organic fruit farm with stunning views to world heritage rainforest. There are little touches to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Plenty of room for families.

Enjoy this beautiful spot, with access to the pristine Babinda Creek (as seen on Better Homes & Gardens). Set on 400 acres, this huge, 4-bedroom house boasts all modern amenities, including air conditioning in every room, with the creek only 50m away for a cool dip or kayak. Perfect for an intimate gathering or family of up to four. Please contact us for other options on bed configurations. NB: There may be an occasional Hipcamp guest sharing creek access.
