I really think the photos do not do this place justice. It's way roomier than it looks in photos and the absolute luxury of the place is understated. The huge TV and incredible soundbar in the lounge is perfect for the dreary, rainy weather we had. The fully stocked kitchen has literally anything you could hope for. The underfloor heating kept the whole place wonderfully cozy. The rain shower with the beautiful view had perfect pressure and heated up immediately. And to top it all off, STUNNING views directly from the bed. You can't find better, book this place ASAP!

We had a wonderful stay, its a beautiful spot, quiet and very peaceful. James is a great host, messages and replies promptly. The cabin is warm and cosy. The dogs are lovely, its a dog friendly area which was great for us as we brought our dog.

I had a long stay here and thoroughly recommend both the accommodation and the hosts. Colleen and Shelley are lovely hosts, very easy to communicate with and respond very quickly to any questions. They made the stay a pleasure. The place is seconds away from the beach and the estuary, with lovely walks to enjoy. It is a tranquil place to come and relax.

Perfect location for beach and walkable restaurants. Everything was as described. Great patio to hang out.

Sehr charmante Wohnung in kurzer Gehdistanz zum Meer. Die Kommunikation mit Cheryl war äusserst schnell und sehr freundlich. Es war uns sehr wohl.

What a great spot! The kids loved being by the beach and playground, and coffee and food was just a short stroll. Ann made up the space perfectly for our family of 5, and there was plenty of bedding and heating. Off street parking was a bonus. We would definitely stay here again.

Schöne Unterkunft, nur ein paar Schritte vom Strand entfernt. Einen Parkplatz vor der Tür zu finden war kein Problem. Sehr sauber und gemütlich, das Team von Carebnb ist sehr proaktiv und freundlich. Ich würde hier jederzeit wieder übernachten :)

overall a great stay. the flat was as expected, fully functional and good equipped. access to the beach was nice, especially to observe the early sunrise. it's outside of New Brighton, to shops and bars it would be a 6+km walk (a bit long). there is a bus stop in front of the house which brings you to New Brighton in 10-15 min and into the city (bus interchange) in 40-45 minutes. with a car you probably would be better off. but it was absolutely OK without. the host Robert is a very nice guy. we had some good chats.

Worth every penny. It was a beautiful apartment. Comfortable beds. Plenty of amenities and absolutely pristine. Would stay there again. Host was attentive fantastic knowledge sent us a message with loads of choices of things to do before we got there and we used this to plan the trip. Gave us great tips on where to eat and cannot thank them enough. Five star.

Enjoyed our stay at Akaroa for one night. Apartment was 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom, kitchen and dining area are smallish but met our needs, reasonable sized lounge with view of water which was lovely to have . Off street parking which was great. Easy walk to restaurants, cafes and main wharf where boat trips leave from. Nice place to stay in Akaroa.

The place is exactly like the pictures. super cozy. it has a beautiful view. Close to everything. I had a great night. It was a pity that the swimming competition was canceled and the place is no longer being used. Thank you.

Such a lovely space. Hosts were super friendly and welcoming. Accomodation was prefect and well worth it, views were private so no one could see in but gave us a lovely vista of the wharf & harbour. Seating was comfortable. Will definitely be back. x

What a fabulous location Cute little hut. Very basic but all you need. Very clean and well looked after by other people that have used it. Bbq and gas cooker with plenty of gas and as explained all the basics there. Highly recommend for a remote stay. Would definitely return

Fabulous accommodation in such a great location. Close to the beach and walking distance to everything you need in Sumner. We really enjoyed our stay and the house was so comfortable, it felt like home. Debbie was great to communicate with and the welcome bottle of Prosecco was much appreciated.

We loved our stay, fantastic location and lovely clean home! Easy walking distance to the beach and hot pools. Whilst no allocated parking we didn’t struggle with finding a park nearby. Thank you, we’d love to stay again!

This stay at the Airbnb was truly excellent. The host, Lily, is a very warm and friendly Chinese host, and communication was smooth and easy. The place was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making us feel relaxed and at home throughout our stay. What stood out the most was Lily’s thoughtfulness—she kindly allowed us to check out late, giving us extra time to pack and rest before leaving. We’re really grateful for her understanding and care. If we come back to this city, we would definitely stay here again!

Annie and Chris are amazing hosts! Annie went out of her way to make us all feel at home and even to show us around the area. She is friendly, kind, and caring and on top of all of that, loads of fun! The place was amazing as well, clean, peaceful, and just a short walk from an amazing beach and great restaurants. This is the ideal AIR BNB!

Had a great time, really enjoyed the location, so close to the beach and was nice hearing the sound of the waves. Great host. Very clean and tidy.

Would highly recommend Mana's place. We stayed for a month while we were in between rentals and it was perfect. Loads of natural light, well equipped and fully stocked with nice hand soaps etc. 1 min walk to the beach and 2 mins to Scarborough Fair which does a mean flat white. Also importantly for us there was plenty of storage space. Mana was very communicative and thoughtful. Thanks for a great stay!
