The Beach Cottage

The Beach Cottage is a self-catering cottage on a working dairy farm within walking distance to the beach. It is only 10km from the EL airport and a 20 minute drive into EL. The cottage has beautiful views of the sea as well as of cows grazing on green pastures. It has a fully functional kitchen. Tea, coffee, fresh farm milk & rusks are provided on arrival. It is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families. Please note, own transport advisable as we are on a farm.

Our house is bright, airy and welcoming with an open-plan lifestyle, large sliding doors opening onto a covered verandah and a private courtyard and secure off-street parking. You're just minutes from the beach and shops and our neighbourhood is safe and friendly. The sunny main bedroom has a queen bed and an en-suite bathroom. The other two bedrooms both have two single beds and an en-suite bathroom. Our house is filled with books, love and light and we look forward to your visit!

Beautiful sea views and a wonderful space to relax with family and friends just a 5 minute walk to the beach. The house sleeps 6 people comfortably and is fully equipped. Full dstv, limited wifi and an inverter. It has a communal pool, tennis court and kiddies playground and a boardwalk overlooking the ocean. Activities in the area are the Big 5, game drives, golfing, beer tasting, horse riding, abseiling, kayaking, fishing, hiking, surfing, stunning beaches and great restaurants.

Our open plan guest cottage offers a queen sized bed with high quality cotton linen, uncapped wifi, a HD smart tv, full DSTV & battery backup for load shedding. A well equipped kitchenette with stove and oven makes self catering easy. For those who enjoy walking and running, we are a short 2km away from Nahoon river and beach. Spar and a selection of great restaurants and coffee shops are also a short walk away.

The forest is home to buck, prolific bird life and many other species of animals, which makes it a perfect hideaway for nature lovers and, in particular, birding enthusiasts. If you are up for it, we can guide you on walks to secret, quieter places of natural beauty.

Our self catering studio, with backup power and aircon, is connected to the main house. It offers a neat and cozy open plan studio style unit with private entrance and private deck. There is remote access and off street parking for 1 vehicle. Double cab bakkies with a tow hitch don’t fit when there’s 2 cars parked in - where on street parking is generally safe in our quiet neighbourhood. Nahoon Beach and river is 1.5km, Spar and restaurants 500m away.

It is approx 20 minutes drive from the East London CBD and 35 minutes drive from the airport.

Only 500m from the beach and 2 minutes walk to shops and restaurants. The house is completely fenced in and caters for dogs as well. We have solar power and backup water tanks as well, so no need to worry about any power or water interruptions.
