I am English staying with young family.. 6 of us a laf minute booking. Much to appreciate from RUPUL as a Barrister at the Bar in Kandy/Colombo and country’s high Courts . I’m a forever returning visitor. The sitting room so stylish and crammed with not just law material! The breakfast was excellent and very accommodating for taking 2nd one with is to sight see early. The villa is designed in an old British style with complementing interiors (chandeliers, fire place etc.), with all modern facilities. It had a well equipped kitchen and a huge bathroom overlooking the forest and tea garden. The overall condition of the villa was superior. Facility manager - Mr. Nalin, ensured that we were comfortable and helped us plan our itinerary during our stay. Our family is vegetarian so he ensured that the food we wanted was ordered from the Indian restaurant in the market and delivered to our villa. We got the breakfast of our choice and quite tasty. My son is a special child so we had a bit of a problem in his mobility. Hence, he arranged a tuk tuk for us which took us wherever we wanted to go and dropped us back as per our convenience. We look forward to visiting Luxe Wilderness again and this time with our extended family if time permits...

We had an incredibly relaxed and satisfying stay at Rajiv’s place. It’s hard to believe this charming bungalow is 144 years old, thanks to Rajiv’s meticulous upkeep while preserving its colonial charm in every corner. Ideally located in Nuwara Eliya, it’s a perfect retreat for anyone looking to unwind. The hospitality was exceptional—caretakers Lasantha, Pradeep, and the team went above and beyond, from welcoming us with tea to preparing amazing dinners. They even let me join in and cook, which I thoroughly enjoyed! A special thanks to Rajiv for personally staying an extra hour to greet us and give us a tour of the property before leaving. Highly recommend this beautiful place for an unforgettable getaway!

Our stay at this bungalow was nothing short of amazing! The property is spacious, well-maintained, and offers breathtaking views, making it the perfect escape from the city. The presence of friendly dogs added a warm and homely touch to the experience. Sanjoy, the caretaker, was extremely helpful and ensured we had a comfortable stay. One of the highlights was the bathtub, which made for a relaxing retreat after a long day. Given the amenities, space, and hospitality, this place is an absolute steal for the price. Everything was as described. This spacious, clean and well equipped apartment is in a very good neighbourhood. The family were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. They even supplied tea and washing powder. Great value. I would highly recommend this place.

Sanjaya and his family were as friendly as the apartment was comfortable (very). Particular highlight was the balcony overlooking the Kandy valley - spent many a happy moment observing bustling life from up high. Would happily stay with Sanjaya again.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour chez Nilantha et Bilani !! Cest une famille très accueillante et la communication était très facile. Leur maison est très agréable, située dans un environnement paisible, à proximité du lac et de nombreuses randonnées. Les lits des chambres sont très confortables et la grande terrasse ainsi que la grande pièce de vie sont très agréables. On recommande chaleureusement !

Our stay at Bandara’s place was a truly remarkable one. The place was designed by the host himself and has a local feel to it. The host is wonderful and responsive. The breakfast we ordered was also healthy and fresh. Bandara’s wife offered us fresh watermelon juice after a long day and it was a great touch. Bandara and his family were always one floor away and were very helpful and responsive. Bandara sent us a van for pickup from the airport at a convenient price and greeted us with tea. He offered to drop and pick us up to surrounding places. The host also arranged for a jeep to pick us up for a safari at a very reasonable price. Bandara also spoke to us about his personal experiences and told us some stories about himself and provided us with excellent local tips. We enjoyed our stay at Bandara’s place and would recommend Iduwara Guest to anyone. Looking forward to visiting again!

I stayed at Riverside for 3 weeks and it was a great stay. The apartment is situated a few km out of Kandy in a small village, which is great as you get to experience real Sri Lankan life, I found the villagers very friendly, often stopping to chat to me. The bus to Kandy is just 10 mins walk away. The apartment is lovely, very spacious and with a wonderful large balcony perfect for eating and working. There's an outside plug so you can plug in your laptop. Hiran and family are lovely, Hiran is happy to help with any problems and the breakfast cooked by his wife is delicious and different most days. I'd definitely recommend this apartment and I'd stay again also being a solo woman traveller I felt safe at all times.

It was a really nice stay. Bandula was a friendly host and gave tipps for sigiriya. The breakfast was a a really nice top on. We would recommend it and its a good location to slow down a little bit and reach everything good in sigiriya.

Lovely hosts, a clean and comfortable room, and a great location. Felt like a home away from home. Would definitely return!

We had two wonderful days in Kandy. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Rasika’s janitor, who picked us up and brought us to the apartment. He prepared a delicious breakfast for us and organized a wonderful tour around Kandy at a very fair price. The next day, he arranged a Tuk-Tuk driver for us at a very reasonable price, who took us to Sigiriya and Dambulla early in the morning. The apartment itself is beautifully located in the hills of Kandy and is easily and affordably accessible by Tuk-Tuk (300 LKR). The view is breathtaking. We were very happy, and I can only say that Rasika’s janitor did everything to make us feel comfortable and ensure that we were able to get around easily.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, somewhat remote, villa with amazing surroundings. We walked down to the river, did yoga on the patio and had Ayurvedic treatments next door. The owner is a charming person with a beautiful vision for the place. He was very friendly and took time out to show us around the garden and let us try fresh herbs and spices. I would recommend to have a car so that you can get to Kandy and visit all beautiful and inspiring sights the area has to offer.

We were a group of 19 people of which 11 children and we all had a great time. The big house is stylish and comfortable, in a very natural and quiet environment, surrounded by forest, hills and tea plantations. Great staff, very welcoming and helping, and excellent food !

It is really amazing relaxing place far from noisy road. The room with full-length windows is amazing! View of the jungle and rice field. Also the room was clean and all we need was there. Pool is nice! The host Sakula is very attentive and caring! You can contact him with any questions. He is also interesting person to talk with. His family and staff are very kind too! So we felt like home! I would like to recommend Sakula’s place everybody!

We really loved to stay here! Very nice people and the host can arrange everything you need. Delicious food and if you want to go on excursion I recommend you book it via the hideout. The tuk tuk driver and the jeep Safari driver they arranged for us were very friendly, helpful and had good knowledge.

Amazing room, spectacular views and delicious breakfast. Hariharan and the staff are great. you will always find them smiling. the resort is heaven for couples.

Our stay at Somaland was an incredible experience! We were treated like royalty yet felt completely relaxed and like at home. The colonial mansion is very beautiful. Impeccably preserved and kept, luxurious and comfortable, it’s huge and full of exquisite furnishings. Such a rare opportunity to be able to stay in such a magnificent residence with such history, surrounded by peaceful gardens and lush landscape. Our trip was only enhanced by the divine attention and service of Nilani and Gamage. They welcomed us into the home and looked after us like special family members. So thoughtful and kind and fun. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an extraordinary and wonderful experience. Pieter the host was incredibly helpful and attentive with many extra tips along the way. Vi hade några underbara dagar på soma land. Mr Gamage och hans fru hade inte kunnat vara mer omtänksamma och hjälpsamma. Vi tog en dagstur upp på teplantagen som hör till huset och fick uppleva fantastisk natur och fina vyer. Mr Gamage månade verkligen om att vi skulle ha en så bra resa som möjligt och att vi skulle få uppleva riktig Sri lankesisk kultur. Värdparet skjutsades oss en hel dag till Lions rock, lagade väldigt god mat, tog med oss till en tefabrik och såg personligen till att vi kom fram till vårt nästa boende som låg 7 timmar bort. Vi hade inte kunnat blivit mer omhändertagna. Utöver det kommer ni i detta boende få uppleva ett fantastiskt hus med mycket historia, en fin pool och djungeln runt hörnet. Vi ger våra varmaste rekommendationer.
