Numbi Valley, a magical Permaculture Farm

Numbi Valley is a wonderful example of off-grid sustainable living. There is one private guest cottage on the farm and Kath and Ross welcome you to enjoy their uniquely created space. There are abundant organic gardens, a spring fed fresh water plunge pool with amazing views, all in a very beautiful and peaceful valley in the klein karoo countryside. Karoo Koppie Cottage

Koppie Cottage is our special "off-the-grid" Getaway. Access to the cottage is preferable with a 4x4 or Bakkie and goes through our Olive groves and across the River. The cottage is a tranquil haven , surrounded by Karoo veld and overlooked by the majestic Swartberg mountains. Windmill, limited solar power and gas supply the necessary utilities and peace and quiet are the order of the day. Drag yourself off the stoep, and walk up onto the Koppie behind, into the ancient Karoo veld.

On the farm Doornkraal near the town of De Rust in the Klein Karoo, this Edwardian-style cottage is built in the tranquil shade of a 100 year old oak, with delightful views of the main house, an impressive Ostrich Palace constructed in 1914. This totally private cottage consists of 2 en suite bedrooms. Included is bottle of wine adn some firewood. The farm is easily accessible by tarred road, about 5 minutes from De Rust.
