The Nest

The Nest is an upstairs mini apartment in a building on a working bison ranch. The decor is birds, flowers, nature. The windows look out over the pastures. The bathroom features a shower and small clothes washer. The kitchenette area includes hot drink dispenser, microwave, toaster oven, and mini fridge. A cot and portable crib are available on request. Breakfast snacks and coffee are included in the room rate. Covid concerns: you will be the only occupants in the building overnight.

The area's main attraction Calamus Reservoir is a short 7 mile drive, offering fun for the entire family.

Wagner Cabin North

Enjoy a relaxing stay with family and friends at the Wagner Cabins, a family-owned small working ranch in the secluded Calamus, Nebraska area. Our cabins are nestled along the North Loup River and just minutes from the Calamus Reservoir. A large pond with excellent fishing is just a stone’s throw from the cabin porches. Welcome to "The Pepper Shed" named after our black lab. This is a unique utility shed with built-in living quarters located next to our family home located along the Cedar River. Beds are located in open loft upstairs and bathroom is located on the ground level. While staying, feel free to make yourself at home with private access to a patio, dog kennel, walk out balcony with full accommodations of Wi-Fi, TV with Roku, washer and dryer, outdoor grill and full kitchen.
