The house was cozy, comfortable and spotless. The property is quiet and I would have enjoyed exploring the woods had it not been raining. This will definitely be on our list of favorites for Scottsville's Airbnb's.

This is a great place to stay out in the country and we would love to come back again. Highly recommend if you are looking for a nice quiet place in the countryside.

Very lovely home at a crossroad. The house was clean, with nice furnishings, appliances and a well outfitted kitchen. The local host was very kind and responsive. Peaceful interior atmosphere.

I loved the place, excellent location right in front of the river. They didn't say that we were going to have a doggo visiting us during our stay so it was a very nice surprise. The neighbors were very friendly.

We absolutely loved staying in the carriage house! Very homey and comfortable, yet felt like a magical vacation spot. We had our chocolate lab Finn with us and the space was perfect for him as well. The grounds are gorgeous. The owners are super friendly and helpful! Great stay.

my boyfriend and I were blown away at the serenity and beautiful views on the property. the river was just a short walk from our campsite, we had lunch there and took a refreshing dip in the cool water. the farm animals were entertaining and the dogs were super friendly and adorable! it was very cool to see the dogs working at night to protect the farm. we are so in love that we are already looking to book our next stay! thank you for sharing your gorgeous space with us, Katie and Jen!

My husband, our Corgi Boy & I loved the Grainshed. Tom & his wife greeted us for our evening arrival and offered all kinds of advice for hiking, dining and driving. Humphrey met one of their dogs called Gracie and loved hanging out with the cows and chickens. The Grainshed looked much more bright and cozy in real life than on the pictures. We didn’t cook, but used the kitchenette area for storing food and prepping water bottles for the day. We had space for a midsize crate as well. The couch and sofa chair were cozy and even if we were right next to the owners house, we felt private. On nice days you can chill behind the house on picknick benches or walk the peaceful property. The nearby town Scotsville (10-15mins) has a great coffee place, a super market and a few restaurants, we enjoyed the Italian one for pizza one night. Yogaville is 20 mins away, Crabtree Falls 1 hour and Appomattox Court House NHS 30 mins. We will return for a peaceful countryside mountain weekend.

Fantastic first time experience staying in an airbnb! Everything was exactly as described and more. The property is beautiful and clean with a lake and pond. Kids enjoyed riding their bikes through the woods and playing on the swing set. Friendly campers on the campsite and not overcrowded. The property is like a secret gem hidden in the woods for campers and those looking for a safe place to sleep. Michelle is definitely a super host and she & her husband are very accommodating. They were quick to respond to any concerns that occurred. She went above and beyond to assist my family! Camper is clean and included amenities that I bought with me but found out I didn’t need to. The camper is in a great location and was enough space for myself, 3 kids(7,7,&8), and my dad. Definitely will be back!
