Follow a long gravel driveway before you can view this comfortable house in the country. This house is 12 easy miles from the Town of Farmville and all it has to offer. Longwood University and Hampden-Sydney College is near by. Visit High Bridge State Park for hiking and Greenfront is a shopping destination. Lots of dining options will appeal to every taste and plenty of other activities to enjoy in this area. There is no phone-internet or satellite at The Hide-A-Way, Cell phones do work.

On weekends, you have a family-owned winery right in your front yard to stroll down and sit by the vines to enjoy delicious wines. Centrally located to many wine trail attractions and all that the Charlottesville area has to offer.

Riverside Escape near James River Park w/ a canoe

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful place on the James River, comes with a canoe to use to float the James while you stay. Private boat landing to use. This 2 bedroom place is pet friendly also, don't leave fido at home. Picnic area outside with gas grill to grill your fish or whatever you want. 7 miles away from James River State Park. A half a mile up the road is a convenient store with firewood for the fire pit, and all your other needs. Get a fresh cooked meal and relax.

Cook on the grill, and then relax around the fire pit with some s’mores. Head the short distance (7 miles) to the 40 acre Lake Nelson. Plan the day on the Nelson 151 trail. Nelson Counties many wineries, ciders, distilleries and breweries. Shop some of our antique shops or just go for a nice scenic drive.

Located in the downtown area of historic Appomattox Virginia - Walking Distance to downtown Across the street from Liberty Baptist Church and easy access to many historical sites. The Carriage House is a new addition in 2005 and offers a separte living quarters from the main BNB. Great for families and pet friendly! Unlisted for the last couple of years because of a long term resident! Open ow for short stays.
