Absolutely stunning inside and outside, had everything you could need, very clean, comfy beds and the shower was great. The hot tub is such a lovely bonus after a long day hiking and the scenery outside the window is lovely with the highland cows. Couldn’t fault the stay, will definitely return, such a unique stay!

We had a fantastic stay at Pheasant’s Roost! The view is beautiful and the house is very private - sitting in the hot tub on a sunny day was glorious :) It is surprisingly spacious inside with a well provisioned kitchen. Communication was very responsive and Hannah met us on arrival to explain how everything worked.

Very sad that we only had one night here, the accommodation and grounds were lovely & exactly as described. Very accommodating hosts and allowed early check in as flights/ferries arrived early morning. We will definitely be returning and recommending to friends/family! :)

Hannah's place was just perfect. Beautifully put together. Very homely and stylish. Spotlessly clean and a great location to explore town. We had a great stay. Would definitely recommend.

We loved our stay with Polly! The room is small, but exactly as described and the beds were comfortable! Polly is so friendly and her dog is the cutest! Great experience staying in what we called the “prison cave” ❤️

Duncan has created such a perfect get was location - whether you are a Lord of the Rings fan or not. Everything is provided, from the wood and coals for the fire to the towels and robes for the hot tub. Duncan is super welcoming and responsive to any question, and you can tell that he genuinely wants to help however he can to make your stay perfect. We could not recommended this place highly enough. We will definitely be back!

We stayed here for six nights and had an absolutely wonderful time. The location is simply stunning – right by the sea with immediate access for launching our sea-kayaks. The surrounding islands were a delight to explore by water, offering scenic paddling and a real sense of adventure. The accommodation itself was perfect for the two of us. It’s thoughtfully laid out, clean, and well-equipped. While it does sleep up to four (with a double bed and two bunks), it might feel a little tight for four adults over a longer stay. The beds are on the firmer side, so if you prefer a softer mattress, bringing a topper could be a good idea. All in all, this is an incredible base for anyone looking to paddle in this beautiful part of Scotland. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already looking forward to coming back.
