We had a fantastic stay at Willuna Sanctuary. The hosts were super friendly and very accommodating. We were lucky enough to hold and feed some of the animals - the kids loved it. The cabin was clean and well maintained. We found the beds very comfortable and it was the perfect size for our family of 4. If you’re looking for a very comfortable and relaxing farm stay, then look no further. We’ll definitely be returning.

What's not to love: Lee was proactive in letting us know what special events were on during the Anzac Weekend. The cottage was extremely cosy and well stocked with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Nights were spent in front of the wood fire heater with a good book and glass of wine. We also enjoyed the experience of going outside at night to see a sky full of stars. Lee generously provided as with lovely homemade slices, biscuits,fruit and fresh milk. We also loved being able to pick fresh herbs from the garden to cook with. We appreciated the proximity to the centre of Stanley with it's historic buildings. Beechworth was easy to get to but we loved returning to Stanley. We would definitely recommend this place to fellow traveller's. Thank-you for your warm hospitality Lee

This is a great place to stay. We loved the views and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Gil’s place is first class. Comfy bed and everything is supplied which helped make our stay an amazing experience.

We had a wonderful stay! The place was extremely clean, peaceful, and exactly as described. If you're looking for relaxation and hiking, this is the perfect spot. Geoff was very friendly and explained the surroundings and local attractions in detail. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet and comfortable place. Also, I should mention the amazing wildlife around — we saw deer, wombats, and kangaroos! Enjoy your stay! :)

Leanne & David from Elite Stays were warm, welcoming, and quick to respond to any questions we had. We were greeted on arrival, making us feel instantly at home. The accommodation was beautiful - bed was a dream to sleep in, and we had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend away. The space well-equipped and surrounded by nature at its finest. The views overlooking the Cathedral Ranges are absolutely breathtaking — especially at sunset. This spot is a stone’s throw from the Cathedral Ranges State Park, making it the perfect please adventurers looking to hike or explore the surrounding region. The highlight of our stay was Izzy, the gorgeous and well-mannered Labrador, who happily joined us on walks and was the perfect companion for a drink on the deck. We had a wonderful stay at Altura. Carley was very friendly and welcomed us upon arrival. The location was an easy walk down to the shops and restaurants to enjoy a nice meal nearby or take a walk along the river. The apartment itself was clean, well-kept, and had a beautiful view over looking the mountains. We'd definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

We stayed at Emma's place on our way home from a trip - as Chiltern appealed for its historic character. It suited us perfectly as a couple needing one night only and being able to cook in a very well-equipped full kitchen was great, as we were there on a Tuesday when nothing was open for meals in the evening. Emma's large studio-type accomodation (bedroom/sitting room/kitchen sharing one space - with a separate bathroom) was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. It was nice too, that Emma came to the fence to say hello when we were having a drink outside, that evening. There is a childcare centre next door, but when the children had all gone home, there was complete peace.
