Žman is located in the bay called Žmančica, surrounded by hills Gračine , Veliki Slotnjak and Mali Slotnjak. It is mentioned in the 13th century under the name Mezano, and from that time dates the parish church of St. John, while in the vicinity of the village there are sites from the prehistoric era. Žman is exceptional due to its fertile fields located in the area of Malo jezero and Veliko jezero, which makes the people from Žman highly skilled farmers. Grandpa Mate House

Back in 1930, after leaving Dragove to work in New York , grandpa Mate built a beautiful house opposite the old one in harmony with nature surroundings. Almost 90 years later we’re following the very same path of grandpa Mate by retaining the originality of the house and combining it with modern retro comfort. Grandpa Mate House is based on Dugi Otok at the edge of the village Dragove. The house was restored in 2017.
