One of the most beautifully decorated guest homes in the eastern USA! A spectacular, secluded hideaway with all imaginable comforts, nestled along side of beautiful gardens and all surrounded by woods and fields. Truly a gem. (I hesitate to recommend it too loudly, lest it become unavailable on my next visit to the area!) This is the place, the only place to stay, if you're looking for country, and comfort, and very gracious hosts. Bravo Gretchen and Jake ! ! Natalie was an excellent host—she responded quickly to any questions we had, which made our stay even more enjoyable. This tiny home is the perfect getaway for a couple. It was our first time staying in a tiny home, and we absolutely loved it! The space was just as pictured—cozy, charming, and ideal for a relaxing retreat. A couple of minor downsides were the Wi-Fi and hot water. The Wi-Fi went out for a few hours during our stay, but honestly, it didn’t bother us much. It was a nice opportunity to unplug and be present in the moment. As for the hot water, it worked well initially, but after a while, it turned cold, so I had to keep my showers quick. Overall, this place is amazing, and we highly recommend it. We’d love to come back in the summer to enjoy it again!

A great getaway for family and friends (and pets)! Our group had 6 adults, 4 kids, and a dog. The house was very open and airy and we all had plenty of space to hang out. Every bedroom has lots of light and porch / patio access. The kitchen and dining areas were open and perfect for group dinners. Even though there are other houses nearby, it felt fairly secluded with a spacious backyard. It's far enough off the road that kids could run around safely. The kitchen had pots and pans, silverware, cooking utensils, coffee pot, toaster, and dishes, with a few spices, salt & pepper. We didn't see any casserole dishes or big mixing bowls. But otherwise it had what we needed. The lake was easy to drive to and walk around (and boat if it's the right season). Mark was a good host and communicated well. The house book provided gave a lot of options for activities and information about the area. Overall a great place to stay, and we'd love to visit again!

Dennis was incredibly attentive and patient as i figured things out. i loved all of the birds and peaceful view from the porch. i would visit again. i was grateful i brought ear plugs to help reduce the occasional road noise and refrigerator.

If you sent any time growing up in the Midwest, this place will make you want to break out a polyester onesie and bunny slippers. When was the last time you had a 4 layer dip and watched the game? Well, this is the place to do it again. I stayed here with my teenage son and our dog and they ate, walked and napped while I attended a workshop. I couldn’t get them to leave they felt so comfy here. For me, I loved the early morning walks looking at never ending paddocks across rolling hills: the perfect way to clear my mind. We even made s’mores over an open fire which was, well - fire! Great hospitality, lots of living space, very comfy.

Sarah provided a wonderful space for my wife and I to stay upon her return from Spain. The place is beautiful! We love the history of the home and property and it is so easy to get to off the highway. Plenty of nature to explore just minutes away, we will be back! Sarah's thoughtful and quick response to our inquiries was appreciated. She is a kind host, and was interested in our feedback. Beautiful home! Very clean, extremely well stocked, comfortable furniture, and you can’t beat the view. Had a great time fishing here on the dock and on the boat and enjoyed watching the geese and ducks on the lake. Would love to come back!

We had a lovely stay! The house has plenty of room for everyone. We enjoyed the great outdoors and great indoors. Despite the rainy weekend, we did not run out of things to do. From playing games at the dining room table, to watching movies in the loft, to taking in the beautiful lakeside scenery outside, we had the most enjoyable time. This place is perfect for a large group getaway where everyone can be comfortable!
