I picked Hidden Valley Farm for a 50th bday getaway and it was sheer perfection! Hidden Valley Farm is a charming oasis among Airbnb offerings. The surrounding landscape is private, bucolic, and beautifully manicured, while their house is a marriage of elegance and comfort, luxury and coziness. Linda and Kit are truly the hosts de extraoenaire. They were gracious, kind, and thoughtful, taking care of details that made the experience most special. From bouquets of fresh cut flowers inside and out, to wood properly stacked and waiting in the fireplace, their unmistakable touches were everywhere. Linda and Kit clearly know how to make a guest feel welcome and a home feel inviting. Their pets were extremely well behaved. Their house was superbly clean and maintained. And their property is an enchanting gem nestled into nature. Hidden Valley Farm was my special 50th birthday Xanadu. Thank you Linda and Kit…until next year!

Had an amazing time at the listing, would definitely go back! The location is great to explore the surround area. The inside of the house is incredible with lots of amenities and very cozy!

Beautiful sustainable farm! Our kids loved interacting with the animals and picking and eating the fresh fruits and vegetables from their varied farm. Nancy and Richard were wonderful hosts and gave a wealth of farming knowledge and experience. We definitely got a lot more than we anticipated! We all had a lovely stay and hope to visit again!

My husband and I had a wonderful 1 night anniversary getaway to the schoolhouse and had a great time! Cheryl was very responsive and clear and the stay was well worth it. The home was clean, cute, and just as we expected. The greatest touch was the welcome gift basket with local goodies. We absolutely loved the home made bread and cookies! Hawk Mountain Sanctuary was so close and beautiful for hiking (despite the rain we ran into). We also visited the local butcher and winery, the Yuengling brewery, and the Brick House restaurant for dinner, which was delicious! This trip was just what we were looking for and met our needs completely. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home Cheryl!

This adorable revamped barn was the perfect weekend get away. My friends and I celebrated my 30th Birthday and this was the perfect setting. We woke up to the sun shining in the house and we enjoyed our coffee over the most beautiful picturesque backyard. The trees still had a few colorful leaves left on them and the horses grazed the field. We don’t have a single negative thing to say about this home.

We’ve stayed at Melinda’s rental several times. The surroundings are peaceful yet close to lots of things to do and see in the area. The home is cozy and comfortable. We love the fact we can bring our dogs and enjoy the trail right up the street. Looking forward to our next trip!

What wonderful, kind, and welcoming hosts! We felt like we'd gone to stay with a long-lost and happily-found aunt and uncle. Meals were delicious, with many ingredients straight from their lovely homestead-style farm. My partner and I kept turning to each other throughout our visit and saying, "How did we find this place?" We would stay here again in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone passing through.

This was my second visit to Mimm’s. It was wonderful four years ago when I visited with my family and was again superb for my recent visit with four friends. Mimm’s is an authentic farmhouse on a property with a working barn with farm animals. The house is filled with antiques and small touches like quilts and period wallpaper throughout so that one is immersed in the farm feel, but the house is also immaculate and has excellent WiFi, lovely bathrooms and other modern amenities. Marcia, the host, is very responsive, practical and clear. My friends and I are looking forward to a return visit.

We love this place! Our women’s fellowship has had a retreat here now two years in a row. Lester responded to our every ask as we were preparing for the weekend, checked in with me the first evening and made some quick adjustments for us when we arrived and made a couple requests. The house, the horses, the pond, the greenery - such an awesome getaway both last year and this year.

If you sent any time growing up in the Midwest, this place will make you want to break out a polyester onesie and bunny slippers. When was the last time you had a 4 layer dip and watched the game? Well, this is the place to do it again. I stayed here with my teenage son and our dog and they ate, walked and napped while I attended a workshop. I couldn’t get them to leave they felt so comfy here. For me, I loved the early morning walks looking at never ending paddocks across rolling hills: the perfect way to clear my mind. We even made s’mores over an open fire which was, well - fire! Great hospitality, lots of living space, very comfy.

This house was just as described as the photos. It was the perfect place to host my birthday party with close friends and to encompass the Murder Mystery theme. Would totally like to come back and experience this property in the summer as it was still beautiful in the mid/late fall season.

Sarah was a phenomenal host! She provided all the information we needed before check in, and was always checking in to make sure everything was perfect. If we had a quest she answered immediately. The house itself was absolutely stunning and super cost, our wedding party and us felt so at home and comfy, it was absolutely perfect for what we needed. We would recommend this place to anyone and hope we stay there again sometime soon!

Ted’s place is like a little paradise farm house, surrounded by green and trees all around. It even has a little stream with ducks swimming in it. The area is quite and beautiful. A couple miles from the house there’s a small beach area for Blue Marsh Lake. Ted was always nice, professional and courteous. He responded promptly to all my questions or concerns. I had to extend my stay twice due to certain circumstances, He accommodated me and for that I’m forever grateful. The house was supposed to have 2 bedrooms, but when Ted knew that I work few days of the week from home, he opened his office room for me and gave me complete access even to his monitor setup. Thank you Ted for being a great host and thanks for everything!

We were very comfortable at Sunset Farmette. The beds were comfortable and everything was immaculately clean. We found the surroundings peaceful and quiet. We especially appreciated the extra touches, such as robes, keurig cups, and granola bars that were made available for our use. Jerry was very responsive to any messages we sent. The check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow. We would definitely stay again!

We had a great stay at this charming cabin! It was well-stocked with everything we needed—plenty of clean towels, coffee, and kitchen and bath supplies. The kitchen was modern and well-appointed, even though we didn’t end up cooking. The beds and sitting area were very comfortable, and we appreciated the strong WiFi and wide selection of TV channels. The cabin has a lot of old-time charm, which we really liked. It was close to shops, restaurants, and grocery stores, but once inside, it felt very private and peaceful. The view from the back deck was absolutely gorgeous—perfect for relaxing. The hosts were extremely responsive to any questions we had, which made everything even easier. One small drawback: the original wooden floors had gaps that trapped dirt, which detracted a bit from the otherwise clean and tidy appearance. Overall, it was a lovely place to stay and we would happily return!

Among all my Airbnb stays, I've found the best. I really was enchanted by this gorgeous well kept and stocked cabin, and by the amazing pastoral estate. The owners are responsive, gracious and kind. Along with this, a supermarket is five minutes away. My wife and I will be back next year for sure.

Our family of three had a lovely stay at Linda's basement abode! It was an easy drive to downtown Litiz, included all we needed for a good night's sleep and smooth morning wake up with our four year old. We loved the extra comfy recliner and fireplace. Highly recommend for your next jaunt to Litiz!

This place was wonderful. we went out for a weekend to celebrate my son and granddaughters birthday we went to the strasburg railroad and out to eat The sleeping accommodations were very nice. The toys in the house for the young ones were very appropriate the snacks that were left in the kitchen were very appreciative I would recommend this place and if I choose to go out in that area again I would definitely book that place again. We came back after being here four years ago for our honeymoon. The ownership has changed so it’s not the same non-profit mission it had been before, but the place is just as beautiful and the new hosts have updated some amenities and finishes. It was quiet and peaceful with few other guests as we were there in winter. Loved exploring the property and surrounding area with my kids.

Tonya’s place was absolutely WONDERFUL! We stayed for a few weeks, and it truly felt like a breath of fresh air—exactly what my family and I needed. The home was incredibly comfortable, spotless, and thoughtfully prepared, with everything we needed to feel right at home. What made it even more special was the peaceful setting surrounded by nature. Waking up to the sounds of birds and being able to enjoy the outdoors so freely made our stay feel both relaxing and rejuvenating. Oh and the Green Dragon Market only being a short walking distance, made Fridays all the better! Tonya was also such a gracious host—kind, responsive, and flexible. We’re especially grateful for her allowing us to extend our stay. It made a big difference to us and turned a great experience into an unforgettable one. If you’re looking for a clean, serene, and welcoming getaway, this is it. We would absolutely stay again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

I cannot express enough positive feelings about the loft and our host, Sandra. The space was beautifully designed with thoughtful touches, and we particularly appreciated the fresh flowers placed throughout. It was clean, and Sandra anticipated all of our needs. We will definitely stay here again when we visit family in the future.
