Bush getaway in the Bega Valley

The Australian Bracken Fern (Pteridium esculentum), an edible bush food endemic to Australia and New Zealand, lends Bracken Cottage its name. Bracken Cottage is a two-bedroom mud-brick cottage on Rock Lily's 100-acre bush block. Views are to the north and NW over the eucalypt forest that covers most of the property. It is suitable for a family or group wanting a base for rural adventure or a spot to gather and escape the city on a sustainably-managed property and has a dog-friendly fenced yard.

Birdsong Cottage is located on a hectare of bushland on the outskirts of Bermagui. With two bedrooms and a large, open plan living area, deck, courtyard and well equiped kitchen, it makes an ideal getaway for up to two couples. Sorry, no kids. Many King Parrots and Lorikeets come to feed, and in the evenings, Wallabies and Kangaroos can be viewed feeding just below the house. Goannas, Echidnas, Possums and Lyrebirds are also regular visitors to the property. Come and enjoy the peace and quiet.

The bathroom includes a shower, small bath tub, toilet and sink, there is also an outdoor shower. Linen and basic condiments are provided. There is a wood fire in the living area. Beautiful walks from the cottage and near by, with access to a private beach. Local mountain bike tracks close. A canoe is provided for use. A lovely place to relax.
