Southend is perfect for fishing, sailing, swimming or just lazing on the beach. A surf beach is situated between Southend and Beachport. Southend has a small shop that is licensed and sells basic groceries. It has a takeaway fish and chip shop open weekends (6 days during summer).There is a local community club open weekends (open for meals in summer).Restaurants and other shopping is available in Beachport and Millicent, both a short drive away. We would like to stress this property is our own beach house. It is not resort standard accommodation. There isn't any air conditioning only fans and basic heating. Our pricing reflects this. It should be viewed as a comfortable base for exploring the area and other activities : fishing, boating, surfing and 4 wheel driving.

We are also a two minute walk to Wulanda Aquatic & Recreation Centre. And only a two minute drive to the beautiful Blue Lake. Adela Cottage has central heating to keep you warm and cosy in winter and ceiling fans to keep you cool in summer.

We just couldn't resist this property... so quirky and full of character. So we added to our 'stable' and it has become our latest project. It reminds us of the farm, of fresh hay, horses and cattle. In fact we have decked it out with so much love...antiqued leather sofa, rustic home made tables straight from the shearing shed workshop. So much history there! Original art works by Jessie. Stroll onto Hoopers beach or jump in the car out to long beach. The ski lake has a beautiful reserve where the kids can have a paddle whilst you cook a bbq. We really hope you enjoy your stay. Our newly renovated front yard is great for games on the lawn or perfect spot to have an afternoon beverage soaking in those rays.

The Shed Bed

The Shed Bed is situated in natural bush. It is peaceful and private. The Shed Bed is small but clean and tidy. As you turn off Haynes-Edwards Road, our track winds through native bushland. Keep going up the drive to the house, not going left to the sheds, the Shed Bed on the left of the house. We have a pup called Cobber. He is a great pup, but he can be boisterous. Let us know if you aren't keen on dogs and then we can tie him up.
