Lemon Tree Cottage is situated in the centre of our picturesque estate. The fruit farm, vineyard with its winery provides the context for a quiet stay in rural calm and also as a springboard to explore the magnificent Douro valley. The 200 yr old cottage has been renovated with all the amenities for a comfortable self catering holiday. Accommodation comprises an open concept kitchen with living & dining and upstairs one double bedroom and bathroom. Enjoy the outdoor seating areas and views.

We are located 10 minutes from the main node of national motorways that can take you to Porto, Guimarães, Braga, Vila Real, Lamego, Bragança, Chaves and many other cities of great historical and tourist interest. You may use direct public transport for some of them. Amarante is our city. Small, with a rich historical center, crossed by the river Tâmega.

The holiday home was completely restored in 2021. It was originally built with 80 cm thick natural stones, which have been completely preserved. The house is imbedded in an orange grove and bordered by vines. It was formely the main house of a small farm. The farm (organic farming) is located in northern Portugal, in the district of Porto, in the municipality of Santa Cruz do Douro. The best way to reach the place is via the airport in Porto and then continue by train, Aregos station.
