Relax on the James River at our cute cottage and tiny house. We have two separate units that come together. This is perfect for a family, where kids can stay in the tiny house and the parents sleep in the cottage. Or 2 couples to have their own space. The two separate units are joined by a large covered deck with great views of the James River, Hot Tub, eating table & Grill. The property has a boat ramp for small boats/kayaks. This is a great section of the river for floating, fishing, and more.

The Loft @Venue1848

The Loft has one bedroom with one queen size bed for 2 guests. If your 2nd guest needs an extra bed, you can add a king size blowup mattress OR a twin mattresses for $25 per night. Please message me your extra bed preference and pay me directly with cash or card before you checkout. If your Airbnb reservation includes an extra guest fee, there is no additional charge. Message me your extra bed preference. For the baby, we also have a Joovy Room 2. We are happy to accommodate your family.

Fiber optic internet is provided; cell service is limited. (We recommend wi-fi calling.) Guests will enjoy walking the property, following Spring Creek, and exploring the remains of an old, hand-built stone dam in the woods. Birdwatchers will find an abundance of species.

This property is also home to our five farm horses! Guests are welcome to explore the 500 acres of Altamont Farm which offers miles of hiking trails, a variety of farm animals to meet, and 1.5 miles of James River frontage.
