I’ll guide you on a natural history tour of Coconut Grove, including visits to natural areas and secret gardens, all with a sprinkling of history and culture. • We’ll meet at the Barnacle Historic State Park to explore South Florida’s natural coastline, winding our way through a patch of native tropical forest for views across Biscayne Bay. We’ll look for birds, lizards, and other wildlife, and you’ll see the oldest house in the county still standing in its original location, the home of Ralph Middleton Munroe, one of Coconut Grove’s influential pioneers. • Next, we’ll stroll through an area of grand old buildings known in the early 1900s as Millionaire's Row. - We will be exploring the 500 year old walled city of Old San Juan, discovering secret corners and little-known spots full of charm and steeped in history, that remain unnoticed to the casual visitor. We will walk through Old San Juan’s blue cobblestoned streets, accompanied by a knowledgeable local architect, learning about how the city was built in this rocky island jutting out to the sea, observing the urban layout, constructive methods and architectural details of the Spanish colonial buildings and defensive structures. In this 2 hour stroll you'll experience historical architecture with an insider, not just as a tourist, since we will be visiting private residences, convents and places with limited access. You'll have a chance to peer into underground cisterns, wonder at frescoed chapels, climb rooftops to explore hidden towers, and basque in secluded Spanish patios. Other things to note Tour leaves SHARP at departure time. Please allow extra time to find parking and meeting location. Participants need to check in 10 m before tour starting time. Parada y disfrute de maravillosas vistas en el Puente de Bacunayagua, el más alto de Cuba y considerado una de las siete maravillas de la arquitectura cubana, degustará de la mejor piña colada de Cuba mientras observa el increíble paisaje natural. (incluido) Exploración de la cueva de Saturno, haremos un pequeño recorrido a pie hasta entrar en la cueva, dentro observaremos estalagmitas y estalactitas y disfrutaremos de un refrescante baño en el río subterráneo, te sorprenderás al ver las aguas tan cristalinas del río. Recorrido panorámico por el casco urbano de Varadero, donde aprenderás la historia de este mundialmente famoso pueblo, visitado por Grandes personalidades de todos los tiempos. Learn about our History. We usually start with a City Tour of Old SanJuan where you get to see Castles and Forts built by Spain in 1500s to fight pirates or enemies that wanted to invade. We stop by the Capital Building, Cobblestone Streets, Monuments, Forts etc.. Cruise down the beautiful coastlines that Puerto Rico has. You'll get to stop in some beaches all beautiful in there own way. Some good for swimming and others better for just pictures. BTW, we don’t stop at the beach long enough to go swimming. Feel our energy. Art is very important on this island. This is why we take you through a town covered with Art, where local artist express their talent with beautiful murals. Taste our traditional fritters we have in Loiza like "Alcapurrias, Bacalaitos, Empanadillas " and more. You may even taste our local beer like " medalla, magna, ocean lab" etc. . Loiza is a town with a bit more of African Culture. Get to be a "boricua" for a day. Bring face mask This tour might have up to 10 people. This tour takes 4-5 hours approximately.
