Central Location- Walk to Dining & Entertainment!

We stayed at this house for a short break to visit Chincoteague Island, and it was a wonderful experience. The house was very clean and nicely decorated with a relaxing beach vibe. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The host was incredibly responsive and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. The location is great—close to beautiful beaches, the wildlife refuge, and many good food spots nearby. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Cottage by the bay (private peaceful surroundings)

This was our second time renting Mary Catherine's Bay Cottage, and we are very happy we did. It feels more like a home than just another rental, and my husband and I love that. With Painter being centrally located on the Eastern Shore, the location of this cottage is great giving us easy access to explore the entire Eastern Shore. We highly recommend this Airbnb home, Bay Cottage!

The host's communication was excellent from start to finish, and I was so impressed by how immaculately clean the house was. Tucked away off the beaten path, it offered the peaceful escape I was craving, and the views were simply amazing, providing a breathtaking backdrop to my getaway. I highly recommend this spot for anyone seeking tranquility and cleanliness in a beautiful setting – I would definitely book it again.

Summer's Sea Shanty on Chincoteague Island

We like to travel and take extended weekends. usually planned months in advance. We needed a getaway and spontaneously picked April's. It was a last minute booking and we were accommodated without issue. this getaway was exactly what we needed. A quiet neighborhood, friendly neighbors. Just enough to do for a quiet relaxing getaway! We 100% we suggest April's in Chincoteague! Thank you for everything!

Christy 's cottage in Chincoteague was everything and more! Just as beautiful as the pictures posted. The perfect beach oasis on the block! it is a true transfer from cottage to beach! Walking distance to some great eats and treats! Even a reprieve for your furry friend; she thought of everything from inside to outside! Something special in every room. You will not be disappointed!

We had a great time in Chhaya's cottage. Very clean and well equipped. Conveniently located within walking distance of amenities. Perfect to go an explore Chincoteague Island and the Assateague shore.

What a dream. This was one of my favorite Airbnb stays and experiences. I am so happy to have found it. Annie and Elvin were gracious, kind-hearted hosts. The space was so incredibly peaceful that I found myself relaxed to my very core. The sweet symphony of birds put me in the sweetest mood and the land filled with all kinds of blooming flowers, trees, trails, a pond, and vineyards next door gave me so much beauty to explore. It all truly felt like a sweet dream. The Barrier Islands, too, were filled with so much history. Annie recommended the Barrier Islands Center Museum that helped me feel so much more connected to the land and the space. All in all in was a remarkable stay. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay! Great house on a quiet marsh. The morning sunrises were beautiful, loved being able to use the kayaks to paddle to the ocean, and great bird watching. Would love to come back.

This was an incredible find for our yearly family vacation. Stepping in to the Watson House was like stepping back in time. We loved the history behind this place and all the books to support how amazing this area is. The location is perfect- within walking distance of the theatre, restaurants, grocery store, and plenty of coffee shops. Annette was a fantastic host who gave us clear instructions and some helpful tips to navigate the house.

The accommodations were fabulous. Fire pit for s’mores! Kids loved the whole farm vibe. Location convenient to Onancock. Farm fresh eggs! We hope to have an opportunity to stay there again.

Mildred and Spencer are the best hosts ever! From Spencer’s transportation between the boat and the cottage to the yummy smells of freshly baked cinnamon rolls upon arrival to an extra-special treat of a beautiful and tasty 50th anniversary cake for my parents arranged by Mildred through the town baker, this visit to Tangier was incredible! Mildred and Spencer are my new island besties! I love them and the welcoming people of Tangier so much. Hope Haven Cottage is a hidden gem I hope to visit again and again.
