We would stay here again. If I had to pick something negative to say it would be the door. You had to be very careful to shut the door all the way or it would pop back open. It happened to me once. Luckily the place and the general area felt safe so I didn’t worry about it, but I did double check the door after that.

So peaceful and quiet! I will definitely stay here again. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful! 10/10

Adorable and unique property. The host was very friendly and helpful. The recommend restaurant was not as half good as the amazing breakfast we had at the Mansion. What a delightful surprise!

I appreciate a clean and safe place along the highway and this place is a favorite. We had booked two nights and only needed one. It is still a bargain. Unfortunately we were the ones who caused damage in the form of a broken toilet seat. We will always recommend.

“Charming”, “quirky” and “delightful” we all agreed. We were 8 friends occupying all 5 bedrooms of the Old City Hotel, a unique and historic building. Each room had its own bathroom, and all bedrooms and beds were declared comfortable by their occupants. We would have really enjoyed the nice backyard overlooking Bayou Teche had the weather permitted. Location, location, location! Great restaurants, bars and shops just around the corner. Don’t miss Cafe Sydnie Mae, Lagniappe Antique Mall or the boudin and chili dog kolaches from Cajun Market Donut. Our host was extremely attentive and responsive to our needs and so helpful with suggestions and recommendations. Thank you, Debora. Favorite time in the hotel was gathering with friends in the charming parlor for conversations over coffee or adult beverages. Could have only been better if the room had more comfy seating.
