Outdoor, mobile, and naturally socially-distanced, groups runs are an ideal way to explore in the era of COVID-19! (Current law restricts this to 1 guest). You'll get an instagram-friendly cross-section of Aberdeen, highlighting importance current and historic aspects of Scotland's third largest city. From ancient bridges and universities to cutting edge energy technology, runners will get to explore the city while working up a sweat. Over this 2-hour, 7.25 mile/12km tour, you'll see the oldest sites in the city, natural areas, parks, and the urban core, all while learning from and asking me any questions about the city you can think of. The loop is all paved, though there are road crossings (marked and pedestrian-friendly) and the option for a short park trail.
Designed for running, but open to bicycles if you are ok cycling slowly. Dogs and jogging strollers welcome.
Listed times don't work for you? My schedule is pretty flexible, so feel free to request a time that is not listed or send me a message requesting an alternate running time!
Other things to note
The pace can be set faster or slower depending on the group's preference, but no faster than 7:15/mile (4:40 km) and no slower than 15:00/mile (9:00 km). The goal is to run while still enjoying conversation, rather than push ourselves as physically hard as possible. There is one public toilet on route.
