This gem is pleasantly spaced AWAY from the tourists, meaning, only select this if that’s what you want and have already stayed in Downtown Kyoto. (The trains make everything close enough, though.) The Wi-Fi is blazingly fast, making it perfect for remote work. The host, Oguri, is a very kind gentlemen with strong english. There are bicycles available with a path, that, for me, completed my Kyoto Dream.

My friend and I had a great time staying at Oguri Airbnbs. Almost every amenities you could think of, he has. This was our most favorite and memorable stay during our whole trip! Thank you Oguri for being so kind and welcoming. We tried one of the ramen places he recommended and it was honestly the best one we’ve had! We can’t stop thinking about it. Below is my friend’s review for Oguri’s place: Oguri was very communicative and welcoming. After we settled in, he told us about his favorite places to eat nearby which were banger options. This is the place that has everything you may need. Even things you didn’t know you’d need and thought you wouldn’t need until its time to use it, haha. Neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Near train stations for an easy commute. Great convenience stores nearby for a quick breakfast. Almost felt like your own home! Wished there were more guidelines regarding trash because I definitely got confused sometimes, but to each their own. Would love to stay.

This was exactly what our family of 4 needed! Easy to access the rail & subway network from the apartment. The apartment itself had everything we needed and was a comfy stay! The instructions to find and access the building were fantastic. Would definitely use again 👌

这次日本之行非常惊喜的一家住宿！推开门感觉走进了日漫里的房间一样，地理位置很方便，步行去心斋桥十几分钟（在我和朋友都走得很慢的情况下哈哈哈）和最近的地铁站只有300米左右，附近有便利店和2家很大的超市，老板非常热心，下次来大阪的话还要住这家！

C’était tout simplement le meilleur logement qu’on ai fait au Japon, le quartier est paisible, les hôtes sont super réactifs et hyper sympas, le centre de Kyoto est à seulement quelques stations de train Je recommande pour ceux qui veulent passer du temps dans le coin !

First time staying here but have stayed at other Airbnbs by Oguri, who is an excellent host and always responsive. The place is easy to find, the building has a door code and the unit has a door code which made it easy to get in and out. Unfortunately you get a bit of traffic noise from outside because it’s next to a busy road. But the beds were super comfortable, full size kitchen with fridge and freezer. Has a washer but no dryer, but provides drying hangers. Everything was as described.

This was my second time booking Oguri-sama's listing and everything went so smoothly just as the first visit! This time, I stayed in room 204 which is good for 1 person or a couple. The apt I stayed in was nicely decorated.. the bed was so comfortable, I had a hard time waking up to go explore 😫 -The location is wonderful and it's near the train station, restaurants, and market.. Every thing on the listing is accurate. If you need other amenities like coffee or tea, you can grab more things in the hallway as well. In addition, Oguri-sama is a great host and is great at communicating! Don't forget to say hi to him when u see him downstairs! Misc Tip: There's no elevator, just stairs leading up to the 2nd floor, so if you have someone in your party that has difficulties using the stairs, it may not be for you. -There's a washing machine in the individual apts. but no dryer— hang it overnight and it would be dry the next day, not a big deal at all!

Great area with wonderful restaurants! Easy to get around and lots to do in the area. Host was very helpful and has great recommendations. Responded promptly and help us with all our questions. It was a very cozy stay. Super clean and comfortable with lots of room! Accommodations were wonderful. Two full bathrooms and comfortable living rooms and kitchen.

Muy bien el departamento para 4 personas. La ubicación más que excelente, con buenos restaurantes cerca, y a pocos minutos de Dotombori. La limpieza pudiera mejorarse y el equipamiento de cocina. Mil gracias por recibirnos, la pasamos excelente!

Would have rated 6+ stars if I could. Room is bigger than shown in the picture, very nice and tidy. Very close to 2 train stations with resturants and 3 conveniece store nearby. Special thanks to Ron for early checkin (just to drop the lagguage) so we could head straight to shopping. I will definately come back to S-Presso again!

Awesome place to stay, steps away from one of the main subway lines so it was very helpful. The place was huge for the price! It was an amazing experience! The host was very responsive, I thought I forgot something and they responded within minutes! Thank you!

入住很方便，房东很贴心提供了周边的人气餐厅，附近有大超市，可以买一些水果和零食吃，交通也很便利，下次还会订这里！

地段很好，对面堂吉柯德，临近通天阁景点，房间不算很大，但很精致。两个房间可以睡4个人，不过过道有些小，大箱子2个以上的话很难展开。 房间在马路边上，晚上睡觉可能比较吵，其他都很好。

Apartment is super and location is perfect . We enjoyed our stay a lot!

Really liked the accommodation. Didn’t realise it’s right next to the red light district lol. The room I booked wasn’t available which was a bit annoying but the owner gave me the option to refund or change rooms and I changed and it was great. I’m happy with the stay.

京都四条からのアクセスが良い。部屋には4つ2段ベットがあるが、若干上段のベッドは上りにくい。男女混合の部屋であるが、シャワーは部屋の中にある。

GWの時期だったので、もっと高いと覚悟していたのですが思ったよりも安くて驚きました。空きがなかったので男女共用ドミトリーを使いましたが、各ベットが分厚いカーテンで仕切られており、プライバシーも守られています。また、カーテンのお陰で、他の人が部屋の電気をつけても眩しくないので、就寝中に明るくて目が覚めることもありませんでした。また、男女共用のドミトリーということで、通常女性限定のドミトリーよりもシャワールームが汚いと感じることが多いのですが、ここはとても清潔に保たれており、不快感を覚えることはありませんでした。受付の方の日本語も完璧で驚きました。チェックイン時間に遅れそうだったのですが、メッセージ機能を使ってセルフチェックインの仕方も教えてくださり安心しました。 仕事で1泊しただけで、時間もなかったのでキッチンは使っていませんし、他の方とコミュニケーションを取る時間もなかったのですが、連泊しても安心な宿だと感じました。ありがとうございました。
